People come to this harsh but beautiful landscape for many reasons -- each is tinged with a hint of danger!

Hi all! This is my idea for an "open-objective" RP I wanted to provide a setting for characters who aren't necessarily young Galarian trainers on their Gym Challenge to explore. Perhaps you're a runaway, a ne'er-do-well on a nefarious errand, a breeder or collector, a gym leader looking to train or blow off steam, a stranded traveler... Anything is possible!

I decided to use my own character sheet because I like detail, and I can change the Pokemon out if they are unavailable in the Dex.
Name: Shadara "Shade" Arcafiwhed Darastrix Title(s): The Eccentric Researcher; The Brutal Mistress Age: 30 Gender: Female Height: 5'08" (172.7 cm) Hair: Pale purple with pink tips and black roots. Her hair is short, but long enough to be pulled back into a short ponytail. Build: Pretty slim, yet toned. Eye color: Black with pink and pale purple specks Birthplace: Cocona Village, Oblivia; currently lives at the Darastrix Ranch north of Mt. Moon. First Pokémon: Pichu (now an Alolan Raichu) Occupation: Genetics Researcher Affiliations: A science group who focuses on Pokemon and their potential in genetic research, and some professors. Likes: She likes her Pokemon, working, finding a breakthrough, and analyzing her enemies. Dislikes: She dislikes ignorance and opinions based on no factual evidence. Fears: She fears losing her Pokemon and her family. Clothing/Accessories/Appearance: Her usual attire makes her look a little edgy and goth. When she is working in the field or in a lab, she has black khakis, black combat boots, a grey dress shirt, and a white lab coat and will have her hair up in a ponytail with a black scrunchy. Badges: All badges from Kanto to Kalos, as well as more underlined below. Achievements: She has gotten all badges from all regions, all ribbons from Hoenn and Sinnoh, all Princess Keys in Kalos, and all stamps in Alola. Due to these achievements, she has only ever competed in a league once, and that was the Kanto league, winning first place, but quickly denied fighting the Elite Four, as her want to beat the league was more as a requirement to get accepted into Veritas's Battle Spire than for any glory or fame. She has also been highly experienced with Aloraichium-Z and Mega Gengar. (APPROVED BY STELLARWIND)
Battle Style: She goes by what her Pokemon want. What battle style they preferred. Of course, they are nothing short from brutal, they have their own way of showcasing this.
When she was 18, she returned to Alola to complete the Island Challenge before she grew too old to do it. She completed it in a little over half a year as she was quite knowledgeable about the region she had recently explored in. After her Island Challenge, she went on more journeys collecting Gym Badges, Contest Ribbons, Princess Keys, and the Psychic-, Ghost-, and Dark-Type Pokémon as she could while also taking online college courses for psychology. Due to accomplishing feats and garnering a practical rich boy stalker, who thought impressing her with an expensive and rare gift was a good idea, she obtained a Gengarite and promptly left the boy before he had a chance to express his feelings for her. By the time she was 27, she began to take on-campus college classes for biology and genetics while she was in Kalos. She sped through these courses with flying colors and she soon became a researcher in the field of genetics not long after. Due to her accomplishments in academics, she received a Key Stone from her parents, to which she put to good use as she began training her Gengar everyday. She began her experiments in her parent’s basement with DNA before graduating to a laboratory she now owns in Kanto on Cinnabar Island. She travels a lot though, so she is hardly there anymore.
Quite recently, she was quite interested in being a Battle Master at the Spire. She, of course, went there throughout the year when she was 29 and showed off her prowess and her Mega Evolution as she took breaks from her research. Because of her intense and brutal Pokemon techniques and fitting with the battle style of each of her Pokemon, she was accepted as a Battle Master.
Name: Chu Species: Alolan Raichu - [TYPE]Electric[/TYPE][TYPE]Psychic[/TYPE] Gender: Female Personality: Chu is quite the silly little mouse. Adorable, cuddly, and curious, most people wouldn't think that she would fight so ferociously in a battle. She likes to combine both her physical and special attacks into amazing combinations and uses her speed to confound enemies before letting loose combinations of moves she has been practicing for years. Ability: Surge Surfer - Doubles speed when under the effects of Electric Terrain. Held Item: Electric Seed - In a satchel around her neck. Once Electric Terrain is active, the seeds will activate and coat her in defensive electricity, boosting her physical defenses. OR Aloraichium-Z - With the power of Thunderbolt awakened by the dance, Chu can unleash Stoked Sparksurfer. History: Being born at the same time as Shade, they were destined to be together. They have been inseparable since and have been through thick and thin with one another. She had learned many techniques that most people don't remember the Pichu line ever learning in the first place and this gives her an edge in battle as she has been trained to fight using every part of her body. She was trained so extensively that her electrical cheek pouches wouldn't startle her into fits of crying or hurt her. When she evolved nearly 25 years after her birth into a Pikachu, she had to train herself how to use this new body before she evolved into an Alolan Raichu 3 years later. Now, she is an exceptional partner to Shade and has quite the experience on her resume, as well as being smart enough with what moves to use against certain Pokemon and knowing how to use a vast majority of moves due to her constant training with many different kinds of species. The only Pokemon who is on par with her is Shade's Gengar without Mega evolving. She has also helped Shade in her research, becoming a cuddly friend to most skittish wild Pokemon that Shade needs for her research. When she evolved into an Alolan Raichu, she also gained the ability to telepathize pictures and simple phrases to Shade, but never full blown sentences.
Name: Gar Species: Gengar - [TYPE]Ghost[/TYPE][TYPE]Poison[/TYPE] Gender: Male Personality: As a normal Gengar, he is quite fatherly and lovable, if not a little mischievous, towards his trainer. He loves to help her out and he feels better when he is able to console her from a nightmare by eating her nightmares with Dream Eater or just holding her when she is having a mental breakdown due to lack of sleep. During a battle, he is nothing short of brutal and his mischievousness comes out full blast as he confounds his opponents with speed and ranged attacks. However, when he becomes a Mega Gengar, his sweet demeanor drastically changes. He becomes even more brutal, viewing his opponents like prey that need to be dealt with quickly rather than a fun rival he is sparring against. Due to this, the attacks he unleashes can send quite a few Pokemon to the hospital immediately if they underestimate his strength and Shade usually has to return him immediately before he tries to kill the poor things if he ever loses himself to the energy. Ability: Cursed Body - When hit by an attack that makes physical contact, it has a chance to become disabled. | Shadow Tag - Due to the permanent 'Mean Look' from Mega Gengar's third eye, it prevents most Pokemon from switching out. Held Item: Either a Spell Tag connected by an earring or a Gengarite around his body in a band. The Spell Tag increases the power of his Ghost-Type attacks while the Gengarite allows him to Mega Evolve. History: As a Gastly, he was founded by Shade's mother, who had taken a liking to the creature. But she didn't catch him, as it was her sister who caught him. Of course, the sister didn't take good care of Gar, and he fled, taking his PokeBall with him. He came upon Shade's mother again and quickly became her partner, and an inseparable one at that. He had evolved shortly after into a Haunter, and then into a Gengar as she traded him over to Shade's father, who didn't even start dating her mother until a few years later. Gar was an exceptional beast at battling, and stood by Shade's father's side just as obediently as he had done for Shade's mother. When the two finally came together, married, and had children, Gar took a specific liking to Shade. He would make sure she was taken care of first before all her other siblings and loved to play with her and Chu as they grew. Their bond became much stronger than Gar's bond with Shade's parents and he became something of a fatherly bodyguard for her before she started off on her journey. She didn't bring him with until she was older, when she decided she wanted him with her to help her with her recurring nightmares and studies. This led them to become closer with one another again and she began using him in most of the battles she came across. He would even eat Shade's negative emotions to make his Dark Pulse stronger for one use, which benefited both trainer and Pokemon. When he was given the ability to Mega Evolve, he was all for it at first until he transformed. He felt he was losing himself and his sight of what mattered to him and he almost attacked his trainer, to whom he saw as his daughter. Heartbroken, it took some begging from Shade to go back to using Mega Evolution, but he was able to regain his ability to retain the memories he had held with his trainer to keep himself from going berserk. Of course, even now mega evolving is very difficult and taxing on him, as he would snap and go on a murderous rampage when stewing in the Mega Evolution energy for too long. He sometimes regrets training for this power boost, but until the time comes where he completely loses himself and attacks his own trainer, he will keep using this technique as it seems to make her happy.
Name: Schwartz Species: Hydreigon - [TYPE]Dark[/TYPE][TYPE]Dragon[/TYPE] Gender: Male Personality: True to his species, he is extremely brutal and only really listens to one person. Because of this, only Shade can really talk and even get near and take care of him without receiving injuries or a growl. In a battle, he attacks without discretion of his own safety. He begged Shade to wear the Life Orb so he could better smash and overwhelm his opponent's defenses in exchange for getting his strength sapped. Of course, getting hurt just enrages him more making him act more like a feral Pokemon hellbent on destroying the thing that is breathing or moving in front of it. Ability: Levitate - Immune to Ground-Type attacks and the effects of terrain and Arena Trap, until he lands. Held Item: Life Orb - A life-sucking orb in a necklace around his main head. It damages him in turn for a power boost. History: Schwartz didn't used to be this brutal. As a Deino, he was the runt of his family, timid and scared of everything around him. Shade had gained his trust and nursed him back to health from a scuffle he had with older members of his species. Because of this, he followed Shade around like a lost puppy and became her partner in the Unova region. He evolved sometime later during her fight with Drayden in an official gym battle, his brutal personality budding as soon as he evolved. Shade had to calm him down by holding him down, as he refused to enter his PokeBall. After calming him down, he was able to focus throughout the rest of the battle. When he evolved next during a fight with Shade's brother's Charizard, both Shade and her brother had to struggle in holding Schwartz down. His brutal behavior and "kill-all" attitude endangered everyone involved and he almost killed the brother's Charizard. After calming down from the sudden powerful urge from the evolution, he lost his cute demeanor. He only ever listens to Shade, and very rarely her brother who had helped calm him down. He doesn't trust himself around anyone except for Shade because he has had the most experience with her and will growl at anyone who comes near him or her due to his protective nature and his brutalizing demeanor.
Name: Mitosis Species: Reuniclus - [TYPE]Psychic[/TYPE] Gender: Female Personality: A scientific and intelligent blob of enlarged cells, Mitosis loves and practically breathes science as she enjoys helping Shade out with her research. Mitosis will take any chance she can get helping Shade out with her scientific research, even if it means neglecting her health, to which Shade despises but she can't exactly complain as she does it, as well. During battle, she uses her tough body and calculating mind to see what could possibly happen and make a split second plan of action to counter it. She knows she isn't the fastest thing on the planet, but just as long as she can foresee it before it happens, she can win the battle or at least prep it for the next Pokemon. Ability: Magic Guard - Only takes damage from direct damage, not damage from weather or status conditions. Held Item: Nothing OR Psychium-Z - Allows her to use Shattered Psyche with any Psychic-Type attack she knows or use a variety effects with any Psychic-Type Status move she knows. History: As a Solosis, she was quite the shy and quirky one. She loved to tumble about in her squishy ball and seemed very interested in life all around her. Shade had found her doing just that, completely oblivious to anything human-like around her. Opting to watch the little Solosis after awhile of contemplating whether or not to catch her as a surprise, Shade couldn't help but feel more and more attached to this adorable little ball full of curiosity. Mitosis realized Shade had been watching her and ran away before realizing that Shade meant no harm. Still skittish and finding the fact that Shade had been watching her for who knows how long a little creepy, she realized that was what she was doing whenever she ran across something interesting. Shade then made an offer to allow Mitosis to travel with her and see and understand many amazing things. After contemplating it over, she decided to accept the deal if Shade could catch her. With Mitosis using Rollout to get away and using Psychic to slow her down with obstacles, Shade still caught her and Mitosis kept her end of the bargain. As she evolved, she grew more and more interested in life around her, and soon finding a passion for genetics and microbiological life like her trainer. Since her evolution into a Reuniclus, she has helped Shade with gathering material and taking care of Pokemon and her testing materials in exchange for finding the secret to life along with her trainer.
Reason for being in the Wilds: Research on Pokemon she has never seen before, as well as catching the ones she is proficient with and sending information of other Pokemon to her siblings back at home.
A young scientist, dressed in dark khakis, a trench coat, combat boots, biker gloves with a Z-Ring on her left wrist, and a scrunchy holding her short hair out of her face, was seen at the entrance to the Wild Area. She seemed almost too in awe to move forward. What was wrong with her feet? The Pokemon, all either flying or skittering about, were seen and there for her to study. Why was she stuck? Sensory overload? She had only seen a couple, but this was new. Off in the distance, she could see a larger version of a Pokemon she recognized, but they looked different - a Machamp. It had drastic differences and a red aura with clouds above their heads could be seen. It seemed to have been from some hotspot in the wild area, but just as quickly as it had appeared it vanished.
What even was that? Galar held many mysteries and she wanted to find them all. But she still couldn't move, probably due to excitement. It took a bit of electrical shock from her orange-brown mouse companion floating alongside this starstruck researcher to realize she had been standing there like a dork for 20 minutes. Her facial features were very different to the people here, so she seemed very foreign and some were giving her strange looks. She didn't even seem to realize.
Getting herself mentally ready, she finally lifted her foot off of the town she was residing in and took one step towards her long-term goal of meeting every Pokemon in Galar.

Name: Kendrick "Rick" Murdoch Fitzgerald IV Gender: Male Hometown: Spikemuth Age: 19 Height: 5'11" Weight: 143lbs Hair: Medium with a few bangs on either side of his face, it's color being Black with one streak having a Fuchsia shade to it. Eyes: Unlike usual eyes, he has Fuchsia pupils with Black sclera. Clothing: He wears a Fuchsia turtleneck under a jet Black hoodie with fur linings, Black pants and Black trainers with the soles bearing the Dark type symbol used in Galar's Dark type Gym. Identifying Marks: His Black and Fuchsia eyes. Musculature: Slim and faint signs of muscle, likely from one who's been travelling a lot. Personality: Mainly seen as a carefree and somewhat rude individual thanks to the lifestyle from being born in a place like Spikemuth. Rick is no stranger to dirty tricks nor fair and honorable battles and wouldn't hesitate to switch between the two, despite what little rules his home has, he'll easily comply with the rules other places or cultures have. He cares deeply about Pokemon and enjoys battling despite having a strong hatred for losing and eye for earning money... but after learning the reason behind the money, he s hows he's a better person than one may think. He has a somewhat lazy side, often taking naps with his Pokemon.
He speaks in a British cockney accent. Past: He was forced to move to Spikemuth before he was old enough to remember, since then, Rick grew up to be a rather rough child, at some point in his childhood, he formed his own little gang of people who each had Pokemon with them. However this gang slowly drifted apart as they got older until only Rick and a girl named Kelly were left, shortly after the gang fell apart, something new developed between Rick and Kelly; love.
After several years of a promising relationship, Kelly gifted Rick with something he wanted for a long time: His very own Pokemon, a Pokemon that inspired him to become a Pokemon trainer who would challenge the Gyms, get strong a and win enough money for his family to not have to scrape by. Family: Daniel Fitzgerald (Father), Margret Fitzgerald (Mother), Kelly Bates (Girlfriend) Reason for Being in the Wilds: He went there to train himself and his Pokemon. Battle against Dymamax Pokemon that were said to appear and battle trainers to get paid. In short, just to get stronger and richer.
Species: Grimmsnarl Gender: Male Ability: Prankster Special Features: Unlike other Grimmsnarls who stand at 4'11", this one manages to stand at 5'6". He can Gigantamax. Personality: Rick's first Pokemon who went with him though thick and thin ever since he was an Impidimp. Despite his mischievous
personality, he cares about Rick enough to listen to him without question.
Species: Salamence Gender: Male Ability: Intimidate Special Features: Unlike other Salamence who stand at 4'11", this one stands at 5'8". Personality: A gentle giant who cares deeply for small things and enjoys giving Rick rides, easily making him his main method of transport when it comes to long distance travelling.
Species: Snorlax Gender: Male Ability: Thick Fat Special Features: Unlike other Snorlax who stand at 6'11", this one stands at 7'8". Personality: The only thing that differs him from other Snorlax in terms of personality is a "second personality" that revels in battling and becomes Rick's most merciless Pokemon. When taking naps, Rick always seems to sleep on his belly.
Species: Gallade Gender: Male Ability: Steadfast Special Features: Shiny, but due to his hatred of the attention it causes, he wears a hooded cloak. Personality: Gallade prefers to remain in places with peace and quiet. The most likely other Pokemon in Rick's team he hangs out with is Snorlax.
Species: Dragapult Gender: Female Ability: Infiltrator Special Features: N/A Personality: Bubbly and playful, especially around the Dreepy she carries in her horns. Has a crush on Salamence, much to his annoyance.
Species: Incineroar Gender: Female Ability: Blaze Special Features: N/A Personality: Someone who revels battling enough to rival Snorlax. She has a tomboyish personality and is most likely seen with Dragapult and the Dreepys (Dreepies?) who see her as their aunt. Gets angry when people call her a boy.
That took longer than I thought...
Underneath the shade of a large tree, an unusually large Snorlax rested its head against the trunk while Rick-a boy who looked like he came from a biker gang-slept soundly on the giant Pokemon's belly, his hands behind his head with no signs of tosses or turns. While children used Snorlax' huge belly to play on due how soft and bouncy it was, to Rick, it was better than any mattress he slept on. By the same tree, a Grimmsnarl leaned against the tree with one foot to the bark and his hair covered arms crossed, his expression looked rather cautious, yet drowsy as if he too was about to fall asleep.

Name: Clarice "Charlie" Connolly (oh god, don't call her Clarice!) Gender: A big nonbinary whatever (she/he/they) Hometown: Postwick Age: 18 Height: 5'0" (actually 4'12") Weight: 130 lbs Hair: Dark brown, but keeps it dyed a deep mulberry color. She chopped it all off shortly after leaving home and maintains it as a pixie cut with straight-across bangs. Eyes: Green Clothing: Motorcycle jacket over a ratty old black graphic shirt. Overpriced frayed denim shorts and scuffed striped thigh socks. Extremely well-loved black hiking boots. Green plaid gloves. Though her appearance has changed drastically from the time she left home, she never removes her mother's bag and is rarely seen without her green beret. IdentifyingMarks: Scars on her legs from her first encounter with her Weavile (a Sneasel back then). Musculature: Scrawny! Has a bit of a belly, and is shy about it. [ Visual reference! ] Personality: Deeply sensitive, but covers it up with swaggering bravado and borderline villainous theatrics that belie her rather small stature. Very curious - about people, situations, food, etc. - but terrified of failure. She's not great at showing or understanding her emotions, so she can be a bit of a crybaby when she gets especially worked up. Despite her lack of finesse and knowledge, she wants to be strong...but hates hurting other people. She's just a complicated, rugged little punk with a secret heart of gold. Skills: Getting involved in stupid situations. Past: Formerly a rather shy teenager, Charlie had a passive interest in Pokemon until her childhood friend pressured her to join the Galar Gym Challenge, thrusting her begrudgingly into an unfamiliar world she never thought she'd enter. Deeply insecure about her ignorance and "simple" background, she became obsessed with strength...until she beat her old friend in battle. Seeing how crushed he was, Charlie had a crisis of conscience and dropped out of the Gym Challenge right before facing Raihan. It was her biggest regret. She wanted to be strong, but felt like a villain - so she played the part. Too ashamed to go home, she now lives on the road, taking odd jobs with the help of her brawny team of Pokemon. She enjoys the freedom from responsibility... Family: Raised by a single dad, a bike mechanic. Her mother left when she was about 4, and moved to Unova - they write letters occasionally. LoveRelationships?: None yet! She's had flings in her travels, but tends to distance herself emotionally.
Reason for Being in the Wilds: She lives there! Well...she camps there. For now. Purely temporary, you see, and not at all a poor life choice.

Not far from - and rapidly approaching - the awed Alolan scientist, an absolute cacophony of sound grew distressingly louder and louder... Pokemon growling and screeching, along with a distinctly human hollering. Eventually, the source of the noises rounded the hill: a scrawny young person - bag flopping against their back as they scrambled across the grass - pursued by a much smaller but no less powerful version of the Pokemon the scientist had seen ringed by red clouds...a Machamp! A Noivern chittered and screamed, diving at the Fighting-type as he tried to drive it away.
Charlie caught sight of the evident researcher (she looked smart...) and a desperate gleam lit up their eyes. "You!!" They cried, pointing with a gloved finger, "Are you strong?! Yes or no!"

Species: Rotom Nickname: Dexter Gender: Genderless Personality: Not really used for battling. He often spends time in Ethan's phone/pokedex. He is very helpful but a bit of a prankster. Of course, Ethan always falls for his pranks. The phone even has a small scanning and navigational features.
"Keep fanning! Keep fanning!" Ethan said. Charlie and Dahlia sped up their fans as Ethan kept stirring. "Dexter, how's it looking?" "Perfect temperature! This curry is gonna be great!" "I hope so," said Ethan as he did a taste test. "Koromaru, grab some more apples and Caroline, add some more acid" "Arf!" "Tun!" they both said as they carried out their orders. "Aaaand done!" said Ethan after doing one last taste test. Dahlia and Charlie both sighed with relief. Ethan put out the fire as the team set up the picnic table next to the pot. "Behold, my next entry in the curry dex, 'Sour Apple Curry'." The team cheered as they all started to eat. "I'll just give this a scan and save the data." "That reminds me, what class was it this time?""Let's see. It's...another wobbuffet." "Wait really? I thought this would be at least Milcery." "Just kidding! Copperajah!" "Dexter, you're a real jerk sometimes. Just for that, I'm eating your share." "Wait, no!" said Dexter as he popped out of the phone. The team laughed as they finished off the curry.

Name: April Mai Rogers.
Nickname: Short person.
Age: 19.
Gender: Female.
Sexuality: Bi.
Hometown: Hammerlocke, Galar.
Appearance: Dark brown hair and white eyes. She stands at 4’12 and weighs 106 lbs. She wears an oversized red hoodie, with the hood down, a white t-shirt underneath, and black ripped jeans paired with white boot-style trainers. A black Z-ring hides under her left sleeve and a Dynamax Band under her right. On her back she wears a black bag with a logo of a white Dynamaxed Pokéball on the centre.
She was born in Hammerlocke to a rich couple (Take in mind she is not spoiled). When she was 11, she got her starter Pokemon, Scorbunny and received a Dynamax Band from her parents. Scorbunny and her became inseparable and she helped shape April into the person she is today. They caught a few more Pokemon around Galar, and when she was 15, her and her family went on a holiday to Alola, where she found out about Z-rings. This created her newfound passion for battling. Through some training, April and her Pokemon managed to defeat the Island Kahunas and claim her Z-ring and her crystals. Once home in Galar, she decided to go through all the gyms and collect all the badges, and she did. She entered the Pokemon league, and came out victorious. She didn’t want to keep this title though, so she kept battling trainers until one of them beat her.
Now she is more laid back and kinder to people, and likes assisting people with her knowledge and skill.
Reason for Being in the Wilds: She wants to help others, make new friends, and try to fill the Galar Dex and the Pokédex.

April strolled through the entrance of the Wild Area. Because she lived in Galar, she was quite familiar with it, but she could see others gawping at it, mouths open wide. “Tourists.” She thought to herself. She didn’t mind them, but she felt as if they overreacted way too much. Yes it was a beautiful sight to look at, but still.
She grabbed a pokeball from her bag and released her Partner Pokemon, Cinderace.
Scorch looked quite calm and modest there, even though she wasn’t. She craved attention from tourists and she always knew that the Wild Area was full of them.
“Hey, stop posing for the crowd!” April teased. “You know what, how about we go find a tree to sit under and eat some food, eh?”
“Cin!” Scorch replied, as they walked further into the vast lands of Galar.

Appearance or Visual Ref: She has long straight blonde hair with pink tips, but other than that she mostly opts for practicality over fashion, wearing a grey oversized hoodie with yellow text, grey jogging bottoms and tatty brown walking boots. She has a D.Max ring.
Personality: She is heatdstrong and adventurous, but has a strong understanding of how to treat pokemon, and gain their respect, whether it be from intimidation in battle, or the preferred option, of kindness.
Reason for Being in the Wilds: She wants to get hands on with Pokémon for experience, since she aims to become a kind of pokemon professor. She wants to specialise in breeding Pokémon, to give out as starters, but she wants to be specific about it, making sure to find the right pokemon for each trainer, and helping the pair get along.
My character has no G-Maxing Pokemon to use, much less a Dynamax Band. If the wild Pokemon is a Dark-, Ghost-, or Psychic-Type G-Max Pokemon, there will be a 50/50 chance of her rescinding her statement of "I'm gonna not catch this one"

I wanted to provide a setting for characters who aren't necessarily young Galarian trainers on their Gym Challenge to explore. Perhaps you're a runaway, a ne'er-do-well on a nefarious errand, a breeder or collector, a gym leader looking to train or blow off steam, a stranded traveler... Anything is possible!
