Anyway, this is my photography, which I promise you, is indeed, art. So enjoy. And.. stuff. I'm sorry, but it's gonna have to be links, again, 'cause the images are freaking massive.

Lovely bits of work there, Cody. The subjects are rather beautiful, although some of the piccus are a tad blurry, though its understandable considering how close you were to them. You could consider trying to doctor them a bit in Photoshop. Natural photos are nice, but there's no shame in bringing out the qualities. Take for instance, the first pic. If you love the contrast there, you should try adjusting the levels via Photoshop, you will notice a dramatic change in color and shading which brings out the details in your pictures.

Lastly, the proportions. Subjects in the middle of a Photo are good if they're the only subjects. But if its slightly off center, it'll look much more dynamic. Try and follow a rule of thirds when you take a picture. Try to imagine several line that divide your photo into three segments. Try to place your subject within the third or first segment, but not the second in the middle. It will look very imposing and the details will be much more noticeable.

Forgive my criticism, but I really enjoy your photos, and pictures in general, and I think you could really do seomthing with this stuff. I'd love to see more as the place you live in has some very interesting subjects in it. Keep up the excellence! =D

Good god, man. Your neighbourhood is just so pretty. Absolutely stunning bits of work here, Cody.

I at first considered my favorites, but found that these are just all too pretty for me to choose from. The presentation is much better now, the contrasts can really bring out the shadows and more colors in the pictures and the positioning makes them a lot more dynamic. I'm honored you took my advice and I am greatly looking forward to seeing the rest of the world according to Cody. ^^

Holy shit man, I wish my neighborhood was that pretty. I especially wish it had a pool D: I adore that clover picture, like, how you totally magnetized everything and it came out looking perfectly clear. Doggie is cute btw.

I like the haunted house shot...sort of. Was there anyway you could have gotten the whole house?

The clarity of these pictures are stunnigly. Truly eye candy.

I love the natural world and your pictures just scream "Get off the frellin' computer and play outside!"

Unlike Shocari, I think I will stalk you just because you find some of the most interesting places I've seen in awhile. Your pictures look like they were taken in places they'd shoot a movie because they're just that perfect.

Take more pictures or I'll send Evil Space Monkeys after you!

I really love the pic of the clovers, as, well, as much as everything else >>. I love the green colors and how they blend together with each other. For the pic you said looked surreal, is the only one I have something against, and that's that it hurts my eyes with the color. Not that it's bad, the color just makes my eyes hurt. By the way, was your neighborhood haunted house once an old church? From the angle, it reminds me of one >> Also, those waves, look, nearly, unreal. It looks like either some weird painting thing or a clay project.

Everything is very pretty, pretty much, so, post moar when you can >>

Hee hee, Photoshop is awesome like that. Its a bit difficult to analyze the photo when its been rendered this much, but the fact that the computer's able to capture each bit of color in the filtering means that it was a very nice picture to begin with. You should let us see the original. :3 But this too is also amzing ^^

I've never done it, but seen it happen.

I love the "haunted house" pic btw, for some reason I love that shade of red with the bricks. Keep it up with the eye candy, pictures are, in truth, worth a thousand words.

Excellent work as before, Cody. You certainly have a knack for this sort of thing. There are a few photos that could use some improvement, but overall they are rather stunning pieces of work. Just remember the rule of Thirds, and how subjects are better captured away from the middle. Though this rule does not apply to all pictures, its better seen in landscape pics like this one. Kepp up the amazing work!

You are very, very good! My mom is professional photographer, so I know good stuff. I also want to be a photographer.

But anyway, the contrast on these is phenomenal. It almost looks surreal, like something you would see in a gardening magazine. Espeically those clovers! Gah! Amazing. Angles look good as well... some of them could have been a little better, but still great.

You're welcome, and yeah I guess the good neighborhoods also include some bad features. (I just can't seem to find the beauty in mine, lol)
For critiques, I can't give any because your pictures are just too amazing, period. Sure I take a classic photography class in my school, but I haven't been doing well lately. Dx

Amazing as always Cody. I too have always found the sea to be a beautiful place be it from docks on the harbor, a beach, or the open ocean itself. You truely give it justice in the first pic.

The second was your first? I must say, it is definately worthy of your talents and has led up to some really cool stuff. You should work for a magizine.

The dock piccy is preeeettyyyy...kinda over fancy in my opinion, in a way it remnds me of that opera house in Sydney. And the one of the...bridge? Ladder? Whatever your first pic was? It's kinda hard to tell from the camera angle. Anyway, I love the clarity of the image, I amused myself for ten minutes picking out the individual raindrops frozen in time (LOLPOETICPHRASE)

Can you honestly blame me for wanting your neighborhood? All I live on is a private dirt road. ;-; At least my yard is pretty.

I can't really give you any constructive criticism on these pictures because I generally don't really know what it is about a photo that grabs me most, but some of these are really beautiful. The pictures of the clouds, the sky through the tree branch, the foresty areas, the rivers, that little bridge... etc. really stand out to me, both due to personal enjoyment and for just being interesting images. The close-up flower picture is really nice, too.

Not sure if it's already been asked, but what kind of camera do you use? And what are your favourite settings on it?

A really nice collection coming along here, Cody. Looking forward to seeing more ^^

I think I know what Cody means by his first photo.

When you take pictures, you take one of two things. A snapshot or a photo. Snapshots are when you point the camera at something and press the "take the picture" button. For example: You're at a party taking pictures and you take a picture of the food. Unless you're really artistic , you get a snapshot.
A photo is when you go out to a place that you know has something good to offer you, and try to take something really good. In example: You go to a waterfall on a cloudy day( because its the best time to avoid white blowout and get nice exposures) set up your tripod, and work with the filters until you get something amazing.

Nice work by the way Cody. I've got something good for you. Ever heard of Civil Twilight? It's the magical place between blue and black in the sky. It happens right when it's getting hard to see outside. Not when it's completely black. Just before it's black. This may be hard to do because only the camera sees Civil Twilight. It should make the sky look purple. Deep purple.

Try it with the haunted house. ;)

Katie : It's a Casio Exilim. I'll grab a picture of my camera as soon as possible : P As for favorite settings, it has a "best shot" feature, so I don't have to do much of the settings myself. I find myself on the "Scenery " and "Natural green" a lot. Scenery brings out colors amazingly, and Natural Green does that too.. just with... y'know, green stuff.
