Tony's eyes searched the land eagerly for any sort of pokemon that would accept is challenge of a battle. Just when the boy gave a sigh and turned around, a small purple figure launched it's way from one patch of grass to another before letting out a threatening hiss. Tony took a step backwards as the wild Ekans raised it's head, then before he could react the creature's eyes grew wide and it jutted it's head forward scarring Chispa behind her trainer. "Come on now, tackle!" commanded Tony with an outstretched finger, but it seemed his partner was frozen in fear. The Ekans didn't wait for Chispa as it sprang at the Shinx and sunk it's teeth into his back crushing the smaller pokemon. Hardly able to stand, Chispa's ears twitched at her trainer's growling and frustration- she then closed her eyes and a bolt of electricity was emitted from her sparkling pelt. After flinching, Chispa looked up to see the Ekans... paralyzed.
"Yeah, that's how we do it!" encouraged Tony as he pumped his fist in the air, "Finish it with a tackle." he called out. Knowing that the Ekans couldn't attack, Chispa held her breath before running into the poison-type head first and causing it to faint. Panting, Chispa looked back at her trainer's grin of approval before purring.
It wasn't long before Antonio's second wild encounter. It was a purple pokemon with a toxic horn atop it's head, Chispa took a step backwards a tucked her tail slightly at her opponent's glare. Something seemed off about the Nidoran though, and after a moment Tony caught on to the odd feature of the small male variant of the popular poison type. The Nidoran's left ear was floppy- rather than sticking up on high alert, it flopped downwards in a clumsily cute look. Yet the unique style didn't taint the ferocity in the pokemon's eyes, "Chispa use Spark!" yelled out Tony who was becoming quite familiar and comfortable with calling out his companion's moves. The Shinx charged up but was distracted by the jumping Nidoran causing her to freeze and take a hit by her opponent's double-kick. Chispa glared at her foe, but she wasn't healed from the last battle and quite frankly was getting rather tired- "Let's try a Tackle." Tony called. Struggling to her feet, Chispa's yellow gaze grew wide as the Nidoran charged at he with a poison accumulating on it's horn. Closing her eyes and expecting the worse, Chispa was surprised to feel the wind brush past her- the Nidoran had missed. At turning, the wild pokemon revealed it's injury- a gash spanned from his left cheek to his ear and he was in apparent pain. "Now Chispa!" Tony commanded as his pokemon tackled it's opponent and sent the poison-type flying.
"Nice!" Tony praised Chispa before walking over to the fainted Nidoran, "We'll get you both fixed up." Tony muttered as he scooped up the limp creature and looked back at Chispa who pinned her ears and sighed. Tony then began his way to the poke-center with Chispa behind him.
