This is the official sign up for the Kanto case files. The setting is the Pokemon “Underverse” which is a darker alternative universe to the manga setting. As such, this role play will have more mature themes such as violence. The youngest a character may be is 10 in this role play, but keep in mind that if you do this, your character could end up facing some truly traumatic experiences.
There will be battles with criminal elements and these criminals will use their Pokémon with lethal intent. There will also be gym leaders who may or may not be aligned with criminal elements. If you foil the plots of their associates, those gym battles will also be more difficult and potentially lethal if you’re recognized. There is a main plot that exists as well which will slowly explored as the role play within this setting continues.
There will be a unique combat system for this role play using dice rolls on a discord server. The formula will be based on challenge ratings of Pokémon, d20s, gym/final encounters, super effective, and resistant damage. To hit you must beat the numbers listed and any additional modifiers on a d20 roll.
Base evolutions: 10 +\- mods
Mid evolutions: 12 +\- mods
Final evolutions: 14 +\- mods

Final encounter: +3 to the Pokémon cr
Gym encounter: +2 to all gym Pokémon
Player evolved Pokémon v lower evolution: -1/-2
Super effective attack: roll 2d20 take highest roll with modifiers
Resisted attack: roll 2d20 take lowest roll with modifiers
All characters can have either 1 middle evolution Pokémon or two lower evolution Pokémon . Every Pokémon will have hp that is as follows
Base evolution: 4
Middle evolution: 6
Final evolution: 8
Final encounter: +2 hp
Gym Pokémon: +2 hp
When taking damage effective attacks deal 2 damage on a hit. Super effective deal 3 damage on a hit. Resisted deal 1 damage on a hit.
