Personality : She is introverted but occasionally will show signs of extrovertedness when around people she cares about, like her Pokemon, or her family. She doesn't have many friends in Kanto which is why she moved to Unova with her mother to become a better trainer like her brother, which she believed would give her more friends.

After her mother passed away Eva was moved to another family in Unova. She has since left to start her Pokemon Journey and make friends along the way. She does still speak with her brother often as she misses him very much.

"Good job Puff! I'm so proud of you," Eva said picking up her Cottonee and hugging it for beating the level 5 Lillipup; "I'm so excited for when this Egg hatches!"

Before the beginning of her journey, her foster parents gifted her a Pokemon Egg so she could become stronger. They said it was a Pokemon they knew she would like, and so would her brother. She came up with a few guesses such as Charmander, Pichu, or Cleffa, but dismissed all those ideas. She would just see when it hatches.

"I hope I meet somebody that wants to be my friend soon." Eva mumbled rubbing her arm as this journey was pretty lonely.

Now you guys can put yourself into the story in anyway you want. Also, I would like to give some rules.

1. When creating an OC, their Pokemon must be all under a certain level and stage depending on where we are in the story. Look at what other people are leveling there Pokemon at to see what level yours should be. (BTW, Eva's levels are meant to be lower then everybody else, but don't go to high.

2. No swearing. "Damn" and "Hell" are allowed, but other than that all swear words are banned.

3. Do not choose over powered Pokemon. You are able to come from other regions, but you can't come here with a...for example a Level 23 Arceus. You have to have a Pokemon before joining, and it can be a starter, or a common Pokemon from one of the 7 Regions.

4. You have to lose sometimes. You can't be fighting a level 978 Mewtwo and win using the "Heart of The Cards"

5. Keep everything appropriate. Shipping is allowed with kissing and all that, but no...ya know... *Romantic music plays*

Height: 5'06" (167.6 cm) (he hit his growth spurt early)
Weight: 110 lbs (49.9 kg)
Hair: Black, short hair with a part on his left.
Eyes: Dark grey, where they look almost black unless under a bright light or when outside.
Clothing: He wears black, shin-high work boots, brown pants that are tucked into his boots, a dark blue shirt with several Dragon-Typed silhouettes scattered throughout that is also tucked in his pants, a dark brown work jacket, and a long chain necklace with a creepy red eye and a encircling Dragonair pendant as charms. He also has on a watch on his right wrist, and he has a black backpack.
Identifying Marks: He's pretty inconspicuous, so most people wouldn't remember him... Until they see his odd charms on his necklace.
Musculature: Extremely skinny due to his sudden growth spurt. He does have some lean muscle, but they have been stretched so they don't look as strong.
Personality: He is usually pretty quiet and is always observant. He is quite calm and collected during battles, but can get slightly irritated when his Deino takes over and ignores him. Around friends, he is less quiet, but still not that loud to begin with. He can be quite informative, as he has spent most of his life learning about Pokemon and he has quite the battle experience and knows the geography of the Unova region.
Skills:

• He can analyze a Pokemon's Ability and battle style by just watching his opponent's behaviors in and outside of battle, including their Pokemon and how loyal their Pokemon are to them.
• He has a special affinity for Dragon- and Dark-Typed Pokemon, and he understands them more than any other species of Pokemon.

Past: As a young and quiet child, he was bullied for being the short and chubby one up until he hit 12, where he underwent a massive growth spurt and his extra fat got quickly absorbed to fuel this growth spurt. Before his growth spurt hit, he was an avid reader, knowing how to read children's novels by the time he was 4. This, and his fascination with Pokemon, led him to read as much as he could about them. He would hide and read the day away and get lost in his fantasies with these Pokemon, specifically Dragon- and Dark-Typed Pokemon. Dragon-Types because they were amazingly strong, clever, and tough, the epitome of what he wants to be. Dark-Types because they were dirty, clever, and backstabbing, a force he wants to utilize against people like his bullies, like fighting fire with fire. When he turned 10, his older brother came by from his attempt at the league, to which he failed miserably. To make up for it, he gifted Riley a Deino he caught at Victory Road, which happened to be his favorite Pokemon. After that, his brother left for the Galar region. Now, it was Riley's turn to attempt the Unovan league, no matter how long it took.

Nickname: Drayda
Gender: Female
In-Game Level Equivalent: 22
Ability: Hustle - Increases the damage of physical moves, but lowers their accuracy due to Drayda's immense enthusiasm (and slight blindness) to fight.
Special Features: She has slightly more bruises and dings on her body than most, and she is a little shorter. She is 2'00" (61 cm) instead of 2'07" (78.7 cm).
History: She was minding her own business on Victory Road when she was caught by Craig as he went through the difficult road up to the League. After seeing how cute she was, Craig decided to give her to Riley, as they would make a pretty great team. After being gifted to his younger brother, Drayda felt something in Riley that made her think he was her rival, until he told her he was a lot like her when he was younger. Seeing that they were very similar, Drayda felt some respect towards Riley, and went out of her way to be nicer to him. She has trained with him ever since.
Personality: She is extremely bubbly and likes to get along with everyone, but her way of getting along is headbutting people and Pokemon a little too harshly, giving everyone bruises or knocking them over with her hidden strength. This causes her to get upset when people and Pokemon decide to stay away from her, but at least she tries to make friends. She fails to understand why they don't want to play with her, let alone be near her, even though it has been explained to her several times. She does act like a lap Pokemon at times, even though she is quite heavy. During battle, she gets so filled with energy that she sometimes will ignore Riley's orders to do an attack of her own, not realizing that her trainer said something.
Battle History/Style: She has been trained with her physical and special attacks more commonly, and rarely ever uses status moves, if ever. She can be quite brutal, but that would be her excitement. Due to her excitement, she is quite fast and strong with her physical moves (Hustle), but she forgets to use her senses to hear where her opponent is and misses quite frequently. Even though she is quick to use special attacks due to her excitement, they don't get the same power boost.

Nickname: Mistress
Gender: Female
In-Game Level Equivalent: 22
Ability: Limber - Prevents Paralysis.
Special Features: Nothing special.
History: Mistress was roaming Route 3 and tried to steal Riley's things before Riley caught her in a battle of respect. She evolved into Liepard during Riley's training through Route 3.
Personality: She can be quite mischievous and naughty, stealing people's things to pull a practical joke. But she can be sweet, as evident when she sets her mind on making someone happy.
Battle History/Style: She is a freshly caught Pokemon, but Riley immediately began training her in fast and swift attacks, using her lithe body to dodge most attacks. She puts emphasis on her speed, physical attack, and elemental attack.

Species: Corphish - [TYPE]Water[/TYPE]
Nickname: Shiza
Gender: Female
In-Game Level Equivalent: 22
Ability: Adaptability - The bonus damage from using the same type as the Pokemon increases.
Special Features: She has quite a few scars on her hide.
History: Born for battle, Shiza was the main territory guardian of her gang. When Riley passed over the bridge on Route 3, she attacked him, only to be swiftly defeated. Seeing his strength through his Deino, she wanted to join his team.
Personality: Brave and capable of taking hits, she will is quite sweet and loyal, standing up for her fellow comrades.
Battle History/Style: She fought many of her kind and other Basculin, preferring a style of ruthlessness and precision. She prefers to use her physical defense to ward off attacks while also using her body to mercilessly damage her opponents.

Species: Scraggy - [TYPE]Dark[/TYPE][TYPE]Fighting[/TYPE]
Nickname: Zuru
Gender: Male
In-Game Level Equivalent: 22
Ability: Moxie - Everytime he knocks out a Pokemon, his physical attack raises due to feeling more and more confident.
Special Features: None
History: He was swept away by the water on Route 1 from the west landmass to the east landmass. Wanting to get back home, he tried his best to swim back, but the Basculin kept him from achieving this goal. He looked to see Riley walking by. Already in a bad mood and thinking Riley was going to capture him, he battled Riley, only to be bested and caught.
Personality: He is quite adamant and has a sturdy body, loving to battle, training and feeling strong. Of course, it will be awhile before Zuru sees Riley and his comrades as family as he terribly misses his own. For now, he has a rivalry with the Pokemon on Riley's team.
Battle History/Style: He hits hard and fast, trying to throw off the opponent with unorthodox methods of fighting. It is Zuru that teaches Riley about the unconventional uses of Pokemon moves.

Species: Murkrow - [TYPE]Dark[/TYPE][TYPE]Flying[/TYPE]
Nickname: Murka
Gender: Female
In-Game Level Equivalent: 22
Ability: Super Luck - Has a higher chance of getting a critical hit.
Special Features: None
History: She was found in a Hidden Grotto in Pinwheel Forest. She fought Riley and got caught. Nothing special there
Personality: She views Riley as the head honcho, following his every move without question. Though, Riley wonders if that'll change if she evolves, due to Honchkrows wanting to be the big bad.
Battle History/Style: She flies about and torments Pokemon on the ground, laughing at them and using superb aerial maneuvers to avoid their attacks, only to swoop down unexpectedly and attack them before retreating back up in the air. If another Pokemon shares the skies with her in a battle, she attacks them mercilessly.

Species: Bagon - [TYPE]Dragon[/TYPE]
Nickname: Sally
Gender: Female
In-Game Level Equivalent: 22
Ability: Rock Head - Stabilizes the head so as to not be affected by recoil damage.
Special Features: None
History: She was founded by Riley in a Hidden Grotto in Pinwheel Forest.
Personality: She is rambunctious, loves to play, and determined to fly like every other Bagon. She wrecks things without regard for them or the owner's feelings. At least she's sweet, but she doesn't listen all that well.
Battle History/Style: She pulverized the opponent with physical attacks and sometimes pepper them with special attacks. Never usually uses status moves.

After traversing from Aspertia City for his journey to Nuvema Town to talk to Professor Juniper, and then back to Route 3 through a several week journey, he encountered a young girl with a Cottonee who had won against a Lillipup. Feeling bad for the Lillipup, he quietly walked over to the fainted creature and sprayed it with a Potion after feeding it a Revive. The Lillipup happily, if not groggily, took the Revive by letting the rhomboid melt in its mouth and laid there as the young boy sprayed its wounds generously. Within minutes, the wounds were healed and the Lillipup thanked the young boy with a bark before running off into the treeline.

Standing up, he looked over to the young girl with a blank look, almost as if he was staring right through her. He pulled out his PokeBall and smirked a bit. It was quite obvious in his side-facing stance that he wanted to fight.

Name: Izuku Tekihasi

Age: 12

Pokemon: Riolu (With a black scarf)

Appearance: Green and Black curly hair, Green eyes, Lots of freckles, Letterman Jacket, Black beanie, Ripped jeans, Black shirt with Pokeball logo, Red shoes.

Past: Was normally bullied for liking pokemon and wanting to be a trainer. When his father moved away, he started to want to be a trainer more. He was eventually given an egg which hatched into a Riolu he named Arion. He moved to Unova by the age of 11. And since then was wanting to go travel the region in search for new pokemon. And his story was only beginning...

Sexuality: Straight, but he's not the type to talk to any girl. He doesn't know how to approach them.

"WE DID IT!" Shouted Izuku as he swept his Riolu off the ground and spun it around. "We caught it!"

Izuku ran towards the Pokeball on the ground and looked at it in cheer. Izuku just caught his first pokemon, a lilipup. "This is a step closer to my dream. As the best trainer in Unova!" Cheered Izuku as he ran across the open field and towards the next city.

But on the way, He ran into some trainers. Looking as if they were preparing a fight. "Oh boy! a battle, I need some information on this"

Izuku wandered to the girl with short hair and asked if it was okay for him to watch the battle. "Oh hey, I'm Izuku. And I was wondering if I could watch you both battle" He asked with his notebook in hand.

The young boy, known as Riley, chuckled as they were already getting an audience. Looking over at the boy with the Riolu, he called out to him. "Hey."

He then released his Pokemon. A bright flash of light was emitted as a Deino appeared before him. "Was wondering if you'd like to fight me, too," He said.

Drayda the Deino hopped about happily, roaring and ready to fight.

"Oh, sure! We could do this, no problem. Let's go Arion!" cried Izuku.

His riolu scurried down his arm and onto the floor, taking a fighting stance. He sent out his Lilipup to hold the Exp. Share and watch the fight.

Oh, A Deino. This might be a bit tough...But I think we can do it...

"Alright, I think I'll make my first move. Arion, Use force palm!"

Drayda smirked at the oncoming Force Palm. Glad she took lessons on how to use the opponent's commands to her advantage. She bounded about like a happy puppy, then an horrendous Screech was sent forth from her mouth, sending a shockwave towards Arion. At the same time, a powerful blast of dark energy shot forth with the Screech, with the Screech's sound wave pushing the Dark Pulse apart to cover more ground. Drayda had been working on the Screech and Dark Pulse combo for awhile.

•Very Imaginative when it comes to new strategies during battle

•Tends to be highly motivated and ready to try something new, which also rubbs off onto her Pokémon

Appearance:

•Yena is a taller girl with straight, blonde hair reaching down to her chest and clear, blue eyes. Her eyes tend to darken when she is in a bad mood. She wears a pair of baggy, ripped pants,a green hoodie with a white Pokéball symbol and dirty, white sneakers. She also wears a few loose Wristbands on her right wrist and carries around a white-blue backpack with a bunch of keychains.

Personality:

•Yena is a pretty reckless, young girl, who is free-spirited, open-minded and very laidback for the most part. She tends to get fired up and filled with excitement when battling, while still carrying herself with graceful confidence and a "I can't loose" spirit, which results in many heated battles to the bitter end. She treasures her family and Pokémon. It is easy to befriend her and if you do she'll stay loyal and do her best to keep you company. This also makes her naive and open for manipulation.

Past/Current Situation:

•Yena was born into a big family consisting of farmers. She is the middle child and thus acts as both,younger and older sister. She has three older brothers and one younger brother, aswell as a younger sister. She has always helped out on the farm and babysat her younger siblings,making her a responsible person. She was quite the sporty and competitive person in school,always passionate and focused on winning, also gaining her a larger crowd of followers. Never someone she'd consider her real friend though. Yena grew to be much more chill and more focused on having fun and learning new things alongside her two Pokémon who have been by her side ever since she took them in during a harsh winter. She is pretty old for a beginner trainer compared to other kids but she doesn't mind at all, she started late because she helped her family for so long after all.

Yena was on her way again, just after making a short stop to eat something. She had Yuuki sit on her shoulder as always while she made her way down the Route, when she suddenly saw three trainers standing around. She could see that two of them were having a battle. Interested in what was happening Yena walked up to them and stopped just a few feet away. Surely they wouldn't mind her watching?

She decided it was best to just walk over to the other girl. She was much shorter than Yena. Normally she would've introduced herself in hopes to befriend her but for now Yena stayed quiet, more interested in how the battle was going to end. Yuuki gave some excited yelps too, making her chuckle a bit.

• Knows the trick to catch pokemon easier

Appearence:

• Sasha is light skinned with green eyes and yellow hair slightly spiked all over. Height is 5' 6" and pretty skinny. Mostly wears a black hoodie with a utilily belt hidden underneath. He also wears a shirt with his favorite pokemon: Ampharos that is gray with lightning coming from clouds above Ampharos. Wears mainly sweats with white stripes on the sides, gray camo socks, and tan boots with pale green soles and laces.

Personality:

• Sasha is arrogant and very prideful mainly in battles. He cares a bit too much for his pokemon, but cheers them on never the less. He is a bit of a lone wolf, but will befriend those who have similar ideals and goals of to become champion along with training and befriending pokemon along side with them. On the side he is fun loving and reckless, since he thinks he knows more than others. Depending on his mood he will donate to others small portions of his gains as well as giving others advice.

Backstory:

• As a young kid Sasha grew up with his father constanly being called to battle as he was the champion of that time. His mother would sit and watch him as he played with the family Herdier named Kole and Pignite named Flarig. When his father was home, Sasha would go hunting for apricorns and berries while camoflaging to avoid the gang of karrablast that attacked those that disturbed thier food supply. He had one older brother that did take his life when in high school from peer pressure, which drives Sasha away from having friends. His fiery passion came one day from a fiesty Riolu he found while hunting that wouldn give up to protect Sasha from being attacked by the karrablasts. Even though he has just started on the road though, he knows what to do and always follows his gut instict along with his faithful Riolu.

Sasha took a breathe. He breathed in the warm smalling air of the new route ahead. He never had ventured this far from home exept to Kalos when he was 12. The new path ahead was unknown, uncharted, full of surprises for him and his pokemon to explore, befriend and battle. "Riolu, It's our time to show all of the trainers how skilled we are," Sasha exclaimed. "Riollllll!" responded Riolu extaticly. They charged on to the path at a sprint as the journey had now begun for Sasha and his pokemon.

Name: Ben (unknown)
Gender: Male
Age: 13
Skills: Nothing much, as far as trainers go. He's pretty capable in battle and bonds easily with pokemon though.
Appearance: Ben is 5'12, so tall for his age, and his black messy hair and eyes so dark colored they look black instead of brown. He's semi-dark colored. Despite his age, he's actually a licensed pokemon ranger, so he wears a blue shirt under his red hoodie, complete with a yellow scarf and red goggles. He' wears blue jeans and his all terrain ranger shoes, which are worn from other adventures. He also carries a styler, which is specially modified by Prof. Hastings. Finally, he carries a pocket dimens-I mean multi-colored backpack.
Personality: Kind and caring to a fault. Ben will attempt to help every and anyone.( except evil people) He's quick witted and observant, when he wants to be, and likes to crack jokes. However, despite his kindness, he can be very sarcastic, especially in the cold, which he hates. He's quick-witted, but is pretty dumb at times( He had a bad education). He's dense and can't take a hint most of the time, usually has to be told out loud.
Backstory: Prefers not to talk about it. He only confirms that he lived in a secluded house in a forest.
Pokemon: Male hardy Lucario- his first pokemon at 3 years old, it stayed with him in his travels in other regions.
Notes: Ben has traveled to kanto,johto, hoenn, and sinnoh, but only bring lucario along in other regions. It acts more of a mentor for the new pokemon ben catches.

While lucario is loyal and nearly always obeys ben, he occasionally like to put his own spin on things if he has a better idea( Ben is fine with this, he even constantly jokes about this, saying his orders are more like suggestions)



Ben got off the plane with his lucario close behind, mind drowning in excitement for his next journey. " I'm ready to meet new people, pokemon, and challenges" he said aloud, lucario only nodded in agreement. "Alright lucario, let's get a move on to the professor's place.FULL SPEED!". Lucario sighed at his hyper attitude and followed, admittedly getting excited as well.

Sasha and Riolu sped down the dirt path with determination in their eyes. Trainers everywhere! New pokemon to catch! He saw pidoves, purrloins, lilipup, and too many patrat. "So Riolu, who do you want to be on the team?" Sasha asked. Riolu looked around at the pokemon surrounding them. Riolu then shook his head. "Lu" he replied in an unsatisfied tone. "So," Sasha said. "None of these are to your standard? And I thought I was picky." Sasha paused to look around.
"Well then, guess we'll move on." They started walking forward until they heard a horrible noise. Riolu jumped onto Sasha's head to look around and then pointed to the source. "Ri riol...rolu" he pointed profusly. Sasha jumped to peer over the bushes in the direction Riolu pointed. A battle was going on! Surly he could watch, gain some tips, and as well to battle them himself!
"Riolu, its time for your first experience of a battle."
"RIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL" Riolu shouted as if the whole world could hear him shout of how pumped he was.
Running through the bushes, Sasha emerged to see a battle between another Riolu and a Dieno.

"What's all the commotion over here?" said Ben as he neared the group of people, his newly acquired oshawott in his arms. "Osha Osha!" said the blue otter, also curious. Lucario simply stayed quiet, prefering to get his information from the auras around.
" Oh! A battle!" exclaimed ben, after which he excitedly circled around the crowd until he found a spot to see the battle clearly. "Alright oshawott, this is what pokemon battles are like", he said. The pokemon looked impatient as he struggled a little in his arms. Ben chuckled,
"You'll get your turn later, ok?" he offered "As of now, try to study the fight". Oshawott sighed, but he stopped arguing and started to focus on the battle.
Lucario, on the other hand, was preoccupied on a certain aura, one oddly similar to itself, but different. "Oh well" he thought, the battle is getting interesting.

As Sasha watched in amazement at how the Dieno and other Riolu were going at it. Riolu on the other hand was preoccupied. There was a certain presence he could feel, but mainly his attention to the area around him was much greater a priority. He wanted to protect his trainer and best friend Sasha as best as possible.

Sasha watched the battle of Dieno and Riolu go on for the longest time, making mental notes of possible maneuvers, as well as possible combos he could pull off later with pokemon he met on the way. He noticed Riolu doing his routine scan of the area, making sure the Karrablast didn't hurt Sasha. "Riolu why do you always have to watch out for me?" Sasha asked.
"Ri riolu" Riolu replied stoutly.
"I know you want to protect me against the Karrablast, but their not going to get us here. Maybe you should calm down and enjoy your self a bit more" Sasha ended with a smile.
Riolu looked off in the distance as if he was deep in thought. Then he snapped his attention to another direction as if sensing oncoming danger.
"What is it?"
"Riol Riol" he replied with out turning his head.
It looked like he was looking at a Lucario standing in the crowd. And it was staring back at him.
Sasha attempted to calm down Riolu saying how he's not gonna do anything to us. But it didn't work. Riolu then barred it's teeth and then put it into a smirk. Sasha picked up on the lingo. "OH! you want to battle him don't you?"
"Ri Riol" Riolu confirmed.
"Alright then lets go over and challenge the trainer to a battle" Sasha said.
Sasha the stood up and started to walk over to the Lucario.

Lucario noticed the advance, and lightly tapped Ben to get his attention.
"Hmmm?" mumbled ben, still focusing on the battle. Lucario gave him a quick snarl, which snapped him out of it, and nodded at the trainer and his riolu. "Oh? They seem ready for something..." said ben, trying to understand lucario's tense attitude, he looked at the trainer, seeing fierce determination in his and his pokemon's eyes
"Wait, what's the rule? If two trainers lock eyes, they have to battle, right?" Lucario smiled , excited to see he finally got it.
Ben placed his oshawott off his lap." You stay here, and watch the magic happen" smirked ben. The pokemon gave a disappointed face. Ben laughed "I'll see if I can add you in."
Ben stood up " Alright, whoever they are, let's give them a good time!" Ben said, walking toward the duo, eyes shining with excitement.

Sasha walked up to the trainer who apparently was alerted by his Lucario about his arrival.
"Hey trainer," Sasha asked. "Care for a battle? My Riolu has been itching for one. By the way my name is Sasha. Lets get this on with shall we?"

Ben was a bit taken back by his bluntness, but was eager to battle. Lucario seemed to be too, which was odd for the pokemon. " Name's Ben, this is lucario" the pokemon nodded once and continued his staredown with the riolu "I'm down for a battle, lucario is a veteran though, so watch out, and may the best pokemon win." Ben backed away to his position, leaving his lucario , who went into a battle stance.

"I may be new to this kind of stuff but me and Riolu can put up a fight" Sasha said confidently. Sasha the wound up his arm and shouted "Riolu use Feint!"
The battle had begun, Sasha had made the first move, the start of his training would be here, now, at this very moment. Whether he won or lost, there was so much to take with this one singular battle that would change his life. I'm probably going to lose but every second counts, one wrong move and I need to make a note, one right move and that could decide the battle. One thing is for certain though. I'm going to become the champion like my father before me. "AND THERE IS NO STOPPING THAT!!" Sasha blurted out. "Oops" He said shocked. "Accidentally said that aloud."
Riolu made his advance from the side with out Lucario seeming to notice. This can't be that easy Sasha thought. There must be something going on here.

Both Lucario and Ben stood still, though Ben chuckled a bit at the trainer's outburst, seemingly in thought about what to to.
We gotta land a direct hit, to test that riolus defensive capabilities.But how.... he thought And what's with Lucario just standing there? Does he not see the riolu?
Ben noticed the pokemon eyes were closed " What the- OOOOOH!" he exclaimed
Ben's understood his pokemons idea, which directly synced with his "Alright lucario, Blazekick!"
Lucario remained motionless as the riolu neared, focusing on it's aura capabilities rather than it's sight, at the last second, he turned and crossed his arms to block the attack.
Due to Feint lowish power and Lucario's steel typing resisting it, it barely made him wince.
Lucario's eyes flashed with aura(as he was using his sight now), and he retaliated with a flaming leg.

"RIOLU NO" Sasha shouted. The Blazekick landed launching Riolu across the field. "Come on, get up and keep fighting."
Riolu got up slowly looking very injured. He walked back over leaning to the right and limping. Sasha looked over to the other trainer,. He noticed another pokemon with him that he never noticed the first time. "Hey, is that an Oshawatt? I have a Froakie, maybe we can train them since, well, Lucario is much better than my Riolu as you can tell. You know what, Riolu take a rest you,ve battled hard."
"Rio ri" he responded defiantly. I can still fight Riolu's eyes spoke.
"I know you want to keep fighting riolu but you need to rest, you took a hard hit."
Riolu admitted defeat and sulked over to the side lines.
"Come out Chase, Itś time for you to do some training! Lets train our water types Ben, since you have such an experienced pokemon, let the young play, huh?"

Ben and lucario looked a little nervous, worried about the riolu's defiance, but after it sat down, they relaxed.
" Alright, oshawott has been wanting to battle for a while anyway" he said excitedly to sasha, was it? He was really bad with names.
" Come back Lucario"
The blue pokemon grunted in agreement, albeit with a hint of disappointment, and joined riolu in the sidelines, keeping his distance in case the riolu decides he wants another brawl, in his condition.
"Ok oshawott, this is your first battle, so don't get discouraged if you lose, ok?" Ben said
The pokemon simply smacked it's chest, already confident.
"Okay..." deadpanned ben " Oshawott I choose you!"

"Know what? Imma let you make the first move Ben since I made the first in the other battle." Sasha commented. "Chase its time for you to shine," he turned to Ben, "get ready cuz will be a great battle." Sasha ended in a smirk.

" Thank you kindly" Ben said while bowing jokingly.
" Alright oshawott, use tail whip to lower it's defense, then tackle!" he ordered
The blue otter swished it's tail like a metronome, then turned and dashed at the froakie headfirst, hell-bent on winning.

Chase took the tail whip as an offence. Getting angry it saw the attack jumped out of the way.
"Use tackle back at it" Sasha instructed.
Froakie then landed on the ground and powered its back legs and launched into the oshawatt that was attampting to tackle him.

Riley looked on as he just heard another battle nearby. This place was getting too popular. He raised his hand to forfeit, and called back his Deino. "I'm leaving. This is not the last time we'll battle, I presume."

Drayda moved back and stood beside him. Taking a long look at Izuku and the other two nearby, he left for Nacrene City, catching a Purrloin along the way.

That's when he realized he needed to go back and battle the Striaton City and get the Pokedex in Nuvema Town. He caught a Corphish along the way as he traversed through Route 3 and back to Striaton City, then through Route 2, Accumula City, Route 1, and Nuvema Town.

He received the Pokedex from Professor Juniper and left off for Striaton City once again. He found a Scraggy trying to get back home on Route 1, but wanted to fight Riley to see if he was worthy enough to set his sights on him. Riley quickly beat him in a battle with his Drayda, earning his respect and capturing him.

Now with a team of Deino, Purrloin, Corphish, and Scraggy, Riley made it to Striaton City to battle the Gym Leaders.

After froakie dodged, oshawott lost his balance and fell to the floor, leaving him as a sitting duck to the tackle.
It cried in pain as it took the hit, but got up, albeit weakly.
Ben was impressed. Has he trained that froakie before? he thought. No time for questions, time for action..... I have an idea!
" Oshawott! Use tail whip, and be ready!"
The water starter looked nervous, shook his head and used tail whip, with even more gusto than before.

 

[Captain Yena]

Yena watched quietly as even more Trainers came up to battle. While she was quite pumped to battle herself, she decided it was better to make her way to the Professor's lab. She also wanted a Pokedex after all! Thus she turned and made her way down the path, Yuuki now happily bouncing up and down next to her. "Lets do our best on this adventure, alright?" Yena exclaimed. "Voy! Voy!" Yuuki cried, running through the grass.

(OOC: The Gym Leaders of Striaton City are still active, they just battle people every now and then and give out Gym Badges, as they are unofficial and official Gym Battles at the same time. I'm using this as a plot device to get more than eight badges. Plus, this isn't exactly following the games, so I can make some creative liberties. Besides, the Trio Badge isn't usable to get into the League anyway at this point. It's just a bragging right. Besides, we're all on Route 3 basically, so yea.)

As Riley entered the Striaton gym after training his four Pokemon, he came in to see the gym leaders were waiters now. They were no longer gym leaders. He ordered a table for one and was led to a table in the back. One of the standard waitresses came by to take his order. There was an item in the order that had an asterisk, which said "Comes with complimentary battles" as the footnote. He ordered that one, and the waitress went back to send in the order.

Now all Riley had to do was wait, fiddling with the PokeBalls on his belt.

Riley was met with a waiter, who called himself Maxwell. He told Riley to follow him and led him to the back, where a waitress waited. She called herself Tia and they asked for a battle to see if he was absolutely serious in fighting their bosses. Riley nodded and got his Pokemon ready.

With that, Maxwell sent out his Lillipup with Riley sending out his Purrloin, Mistress. The Lillipup had used Work Up, making himself physically tougher and stronger. With that, Riley told Mistress to use Fury Swipes. With quick and agile moves, she moved about lithely as she got in close. She then slashed at the now surprised Lillipup multiple times, with the first hit being a critical hit. The Lillipup used Take Down, charging at Purrloin with reckless abandon, but Mistress jumped above him and used Feint Attack. She vanished when she landed and reappeared at the Lillipup's left, smashing into him and knocking him out.

Now, it was Tia's turn. She sent out Patrat while Riley kept Mistress in. Mistress did Feint Attack again, vanishing before appearing behind the Patrat and swiping her back. All it took was another well aimed Scratch to knock it out. Next was Tia's Purrloin. Riley saw the determination in Mistress's eyes and kept her in. The Purrloin used Fury Swipes, trying to run in quickly and get this battle over and done with, but Mistress jumped out of the way, only to smack the opposing Purrloin down with her tail and went in for a Fury Swipes and Scratch. A couple more of those, and the Purrloin was down, leaving Riley the victory.

Tia returned her Pokemon and both Tia and Maxwell bowed before leaving to get the three brothers. Riley picked up Mistress and hugged her for a job well done before returning her.

When the three brothers arrived, they were surprised by Riley's determination in battling them to get the Trio Badge, which was decommissioned by the League, which they vocalized to him. Yet, they were able to give it to him if he beat all three in a battle.

Riley agreed and the first opponent was Cilan. Riley sent out his Corphish, Shiza. Cilan sent out his Lillipup, to which Shiza used Vice Grip, gripping the Pokemon's side with its sharp, crushing pincers. Yelping, the Lillipup got away and used Take Down, sending the Corphish back, only to get smacked with a Metal Claw by the Corphish's now metallic, open pincer. This knocked out the Lillipup. Next was Cilan's Pansage. The Pansage used Vine Whip, vines sprouting from his leafy bulb and went to slam Shiza. She grabbed the vine and pulled the Pansage toward her, which she then used Body Slam to slam her body against the Grass Monkey. This put Pansage at a disadvantage now. He tried to get away, but Shiza was too relentless. She summoned rocks from the ground and hurled the glowing rocks at the Pansage, the Ancient Power doing decent damage once it finally managed to hit him. She then used Superpower, scuttling up to him and slamming him with her now glowing brick red pincer with fighting energy, knocking him out.

Cilan returned his Pansage and Chili was up next. Riley called in his Shiza and sent out his Zuru, a Scraggy. Chili sent out his Lillipup, only for the Scraggy to immediately run up to it and smash its head against him, leaving the Lillipup no room to interact during the Headbutt. Scraggy's fist then glowed brick red as the Lillipup used Take Down and sent its body right into the glowing, sapping fist of Scraggy's Drain Punch. The Take Down hurt Zuru a little, but the damage dealt was quickly sapped as Lillipup's stamina was quickly drained and, from the ensuing recoil, was knocked out. Now, it was Pansear's turn. Zuru's fists glowed before one erupted in lightning and the other erupted in ice. His head began glowing with Psychic energy before he charged at the Pansear. Pansear used Incinerate, only for Zuru's fist of ice to change to fire and absorb some of the attack. As he got close, he changed the fist of fire to a Drain Punch and used Drain Punch and Thunder Punch and Pansear, and then used Zen Headbutt to finish it off.

Now it was Cress's turn. He released the final Lillipup and quickly did a Work Up while Riley swapped out his Zuru for Drayda, his Deino. Lillipup used Growl, which didn't really work on Drayda. She used Screech, which pushed the Lillipup back a ways and stunned it from the sound, leaving Drayda ample time to rush in and use Head Smash. Her head glowed with brown energy before she smashed her head at Lillipup, causing him to get knocked out. Of course, Drayda was now hurt by the recoil. Her head hurts. Cress sent out his Panpour and he ran at Drayda to use Fury Swipes while spitting out a Water Gun at her. She didn't mind the water too much and charged at him. Before he had a chance to move away, her teeth became electrified and she bit his hand, shocking him. She didn't let go, causing him to scratch at her before he got knocked out.

Amazed at such training, they gave Riley the Trio Badge. Riley opened up his trainer case and set the Trio Badge underneath the foam for the official ones. At least he got one. Now it was time for Lenora's gym. Even though she doesn't do gym battles anymore, her Basic Badge was the one he wanted. Then, he'll make his way back to Aspertia City.

Personality: Usually keeps to himself and minds his own business, but he opens up around friends. He has an interest in fossils, which led to him picking Archen as his first Pokemon when he was presented with the opportunity in Nacrene City.

Backstory: Born in Striaton City, Unova, Matthew lived most of his life in the town, rarely leaving to go on occasional holidays with his family. This all changed about a year ago, when on a trip to Nacrene City he managed to obtain his first Pokemon, Archen. Since then, he's been preparing for his ultimate goal, to challenge and win the Pokemon League.

Matthew stepped outside his house, after checking that he had all his things, taking a deep breath. It was finally time for him to challenge the Pokemon League, something he'd been preparing himself for for over a year now. As he walked down the steps that led to his house, he figured it would be best if he skipped out on most of the optional gyms unless he either had an advantage or wanted to get some training in, but he'd done enough training, so he headed out onto Route 3 where the daycare was located, making his way toward Nacrene City.

Froakie knew the tackle would land, but expected more than what happened. The oshawatt make the next move and Froakie knew revenge was going to be enevitable. This tail whipping was getting on his nerves. "Keep your patience, don't him get to you" Sasha told Froakie. "Use bubble, hit him long range!"

After Yena received her Pokedex from Professor Juniper she made her way back to Route 3. She wanted to get to Aspertia city to get her first badge after all. Both, Yuuki and Miley were out of their Pokéballs and walking next to her. Just a few moments after they started traveling back, they encountered a Pidove. Yena wasn't too interested in catching it as she wasn't a fan of flying types but the Pidove kept following her. After trying to get rid of it by asking it to leave and if something was wrong, aggressively waving her hands in the air and asking her Pokémon to attack it, it still wouldn't leave their side. Annoyed but also amused Yena just gave up. Now they were four, although she hadn't officially caught the Pidove yet. She really didn't know what that Pokémon was trying to achieve but at some point she just accepted the fact that it would probably follow them for awhile. Now they were almost at Striaton city.

Ben smirked, the froakie certainly was getting miffed, this could work.
" Dodge it! Follow up with tackle!"
Oshawott ran to the side of froakie, narrowly dodging the attack, and leaped forward with all it's strength.

After scanning the trainers' Pokemon that returned to Professor Juniper, all through Route 1, 2, and 3, Accumula Town, Striaton City, the Dreamyard, and Wellspring Cave, Riley found his way to Nacrene City. Time to get the second unofficial badge. Lenora's, which should have her name engraved on the back.

He trained along the way, getting all of his Pokemon around a certain level, and taught his Purrloin Captivate before she evolved into Liepard. Once he went through Nacrene City to Pinwheel Forest. He found a Hidden Grotto in the outer and inner sections of the forest, achieving a Bagon from the outer grotto and getting a Murkrow from the inner grotto.

After a bit of training and finding a tutor who could teach his Pokemon some moves after beating him, he sent off to fine Lenora in the Nacrene Museum. Walking into the museum, he asked the husband of the ex-gym leader if Lenora was accepting any unofficial gym battles for an unofficial gym badge. He told him to wait and walked to the back to talk to her about it. While he waited, he leaned against a wall with his hands in his pockets and looking up at the Dragonite skeleton set in the middle of the room.

After some time, Lenora came back up with a bit of a small smile. She motioned for him to follow her and told him that, if he was absolutely serious, he should battle the other trainers before he battles her. Nodding, he went ahead and stood in the middle of a battle arena.

A college kid, named Carter, arrived and sent out his Watchog. Riley sent out his new Pokemon, Bagon. The Watchog went in for a Hypnosis, but Bagon ignored it and rushed in, his fist glowing with brick red energy as he punched the Watchog in the chest with Rock Smash. He then smashed his glowing forearm into the downed Watchog with a Brick Break and smashed it to the ground again with another Rock Smash, knocking it out.

Next was Scientist Satomi. She sent out her Herdier and Riley swapped out his Bagon for a Murkrow. The Murkrow flew towards the Herdier quickly, twirling about to stab the Herdier with a Drill Peck. Hitting the dog, it got sent back before it ran up to the Murkrow to use Take Down. Murkrow's wing glowed with sky blue energy as he used Wing Attack to smack the Herdier back down. The Murkrow then knocked it out with a well aimed Pursuit, knocking it out.

Next was College Kid Lydia with three Herdier. Riley swapped out his Murkrow for his Scraggy. His Scraggy made it look too easy. A Brick Break here and a Low Kick there and some more Rock Smashes knocked out two of the three Herdier. Riley swapped out his Scraggy for his Corphish, while the lady sent out her last Herdier. The Corphish used Superpower, knocking out the last one with a well-aimed, pent up, pincer punch.

Seeing how serious Riley was, Lenora was the next to fight him. She sent out her Herdier and Riley swapped out his Corphish for his Liepard. Mistress played about with the Herdier, running around and jumping over her as she tried to attack the Liepard. Mistress then used Rock Smash, several of them, as she ran about, knocking the Herdier out.

Riley then swapped out Mistress for his Deino, Drayda, while Lenora swapped out her Herdier for her Watchog. Drayda danced about, dodging the Confuse Rays and Hypnosis attacks. She was just so excited, she couldn't settle down. She rushed in and used Headbutt, then Bite, then Rock Smash. The barrage of attacks knocked out the Watchog

Lenora smiled and gave Riley the Basic Badge that had her name engraved on the back. He hid it behind the foam casing of his badge case, thanked Lenora for her time, and left.

He traveled through Pinwheel Forest, then Skyarrow Bridge, and arrived at Castelia City.

He found a boat leading back to Virbank City, so he used that to travel back to the other port. He then traveled back home to Aspertia City to rest, training his Pokemon along the way.

Oshawott took his scalchop and charged at the froakie, popping the bubbles with it's surprising egg move.
After disposing of them, oshawott smirked despite himself and swung his scalchop at the froakie.

(OOC: be careful of posting without in-character content. But Gen VI and VII Pokemon and Gen VI and VII movesets apply. An Oshawott knowing Sacred Sword via breeding in USUM is probably okay, but there is always a way to block that attack. Like having Froakie use its frubbles to prevent the attack from hitting it)

Riley trained his Pokemon some more while he stayed home for a good few days. He needed to be home for awhile. He had to find a nickname for his Murkrow and Bagon, but didn't really have anything. What he did find out though, was that Murkrow will follow whatever he says since he sees him as the head honcho, while his Bagon was extremely playful and jumps off of furniture and roofs to try and fly. He was gonna have some work with the Bagon...

Matthew reached Nacrene City in a couple hours, making a quick stop to rest his Pokemon, including a Venipede he'd caught along the way. Afterwards he made his way through the Pinwheel Forest and across the Skyarrow Bridge to Castelia City, he'd never been there before so a city of this size was pretty daunting for him. He got a ferry to Virbank City and decided he'd done enough travelling for the day, he also decided he should challenge the gym while he's passing through so he doesn't have to after Aspertia, but for now he'd rest.

 

[Captain Yena]

After passing through Striaton and Nacrene City, Yena and her Pokémon were now walking on the Skyarrow-Bridge. Yena had huge respect because she wasn't too fond of heights. Minding her own business, a younger boy sudddenly stopped her and asked for a battle. "I saw your Pokémon! They look strong!" He said and sent out his Patrat. Yena hadn't done much training anyway so she didn't really mind. It was also a good opportunity to test the Pidove that was still tagging along. "Hey Pidove, would you mind helping me out?" Yena asked curiously, giving the happy bird a smile. To her surprise it flew right infront of her, making small, excited noises and flapping with its wings. "I'll take that as a yes!" The young boy made the first move and commanded his Patrat for a tackle. Having the advantage due to being able to fly, Pidove easily dodged the attack. "Pidove, use Gust!" Yena exclaimed and watched as Pidove flew into the sky and then turned around with a powerful movement of its wings, sending the Patrat flying. It landed hard on the ground but stood up again to get its revenge. With quick feet it jumped as high as it could, almost hitting Pidove with a Scratch. "Use Quick attack and finish this." Pidove did as Yena said and charged at the Patrat with full speed, landing a strong hit and knocking it out. As the boy walked towards his Patrat to make sure its okay, Pidove landed on Yena's shoulder. "You did a good job." Yena said in a gentle voice, giving the Pokémon a light pat on its head.

Yena arrived at Virbank city after a ride with the ferry. She was still on her way to Aspertia but stopped every now and then to train her Pokémon. The Pidove was of course, still there and she still hadn't officially caught it yet. She planned on doing so but only when the time came. The Pidove would sometimes fly out of range or sit in the trees until Yena couldn't see it anymore, almost making her worried, in the end it would always fly back to her though. She found out it really liked to sit on her shoulder or use her stretched out arm as a space to land. Yuuki and Miley both enjoyed the new company and the three of them got along pretty well so far. Yuuki tried to pick up small fights here and there but Pidove was seemingly patient and didn't mind the hyper Eevee. After quite a longer walk they finally arrived at Aspertia city and Yena was really glad they made it. She looked around a bit and decided they probably needed to rest a little before challenging the Gym.

Riley was wandering his home town with his Deino by his side when he noticed someone nearby. This young girl seemed to be trying to a find a place to rest. He walked up to her and waved at her, his face slightly smiling. "Why, hello."

Drayda barked happily at the Eevee and Shinx, smiling happily and had sounded like a dog Pokemon at first.

"You seem almost lost. You looking for something?" Riley continued.

 

[Captain Yena]

Yena couldn't hide her surprised expression when she saw a boy waving at her, a happy Deino by his side. She waved back slightly, now a generous smile on her face. "Hello there. I'm actually looking for a place to rest! Me and my Pokémon traveled quite a long way." Yena said, maybe a little embarassed that he thought she was lost. She swore she saw that boy somewhere before. Maybe it was the guy who she'd seen battling somewhere around Route 3? He seemed nice.

Yuuki barked back at the Deino and waved his tail in a friendly manner. He thought that it was a somewhat strange looking Pokémon but he seemed to like it nonetheless. Miley stuck to Yena's leg, not too fond of the guest. She still slightly nodded her head as a greeting. Pidove just flew around in circles, not really paying attention to what was happening.

 

[Pinch]

Matthew stepped into the Virbank City Gym, it seemed to be an underground music bar or something, he didn't really know, but he moved on anyways and challenged the two gym trainers, defeating them with relative ease. Now it was Roxie's turn, she sent out her Koffing first, he knew that Koffing had levitate so he couldn't utilize the advantage Drilbur would have, so he opted to use Archen instead. "Right Archen, use Rock Throw, just like we practiced!" Matthew commanded, Archen summoned a large boulder, seemingly out of nowhere and hurled it directly at Koffing, connecting and stunning him temporarily. "While we have the chance use Wing Attack!" Matthew commanded once again, this time Archen sped toward Koffing, a white glow appearing on the wing it would strike with, hitting the Koffing and sending it back into the ground. Archen thought his job was done, but once the dust settled Koffing was still standing, and he retaliated with Assurance, doing more damage than usual since he'd been struck multiple times. Archen went reeling back toward Matthew and waited for his next command. "Double Team and then Wing Attack!" He said, Archen duplicated itself into multiple copies and once again swiftly charged at Koffing, the same white glow that was on his wing before now returning. As a struck Koffing for a third time, he didn't get up and the dust settled to reveal Koffing knocked out on the ground.

Roxie only had one more Pokemon, Whirlipede, this time Matthew could use Drilbur, so he returned Archen and sent him out. He started off with Mud Slap, a super effective move and connected, dealing a considerable amount of damage. Whirlipede then used Venoshock, a powerful attack that hit Drilbur and dealt some damage. "Drilbur, use Dig!" Matthew yelled, and Drilbur burrowed deep into the ground and came up from under Whirlipede, sending it into the air. "Now, finish this with Metal Claw!" Matthew yelled once again, as Drilbur's claw turned a shiny silver color as he jumped up and swiped Whirlipede back into the ground, finishing the battle. Matthew rejoiced with Drilbur, he'd won his first gym badge! He obtained the Toxic Badge from Roxie and shook her hand and thanking her for the chance to battle before slotting the badge into his second badge slot since he'd gotten it early.
