"Oswald!" The young trainer shouted to his Pokemon, a red octopus-like creature, decorated with yellow spots, "surprise me!" Teki smiled, running his hand through his dark fluffed hair. "And them." He added, dusting down the tight fitting white vest he was wearing. He looked over to his opponent, a young boy he had just met, knowing they were wondering what he had meant. The Octillery, Oswald, was one of Teki's favourite Pokemon, he summed up the trainers style perfectly. Versatile, adaptable, always striking with the element of surprise.

And it was certainly a cry of surprise Teki's foe let out as he watched the attack that was launched straight at his Bayleef. This reaction alone bought a grin to Teki's face as he idly played with the stone attached to his necklace, a gift from a long lost friend. The reaction of the grass Pokemon was even more satisfying however, as it ran from the Flamethrower attack that Oswald had launched towards it.

"That's cheating!" The young boy shouted out as his Bayleef fell to the floor, its leaves scorched a little. "Octillery is a water type! It can't use Flamethrower!"
"With that attitude," Teki grinned, "You won't get very far. Oswald, return!" Teki watched as the young boy turned his back and walked away, as his octopus Pokemon was returned to its home. He placed the Pokeball, the red half decorated with yellow spots similar to Oswald, on his belt, and looked to the trees that surrounded the clearing that the battle had taken place in.

"Ambipom!" Teki shouted, surprising multiple Pidgey and sending them flying from the trees. A slight buzz in the background reminded the trainer to be cautious. He had lived around Pokemon his whole life, but never had the experience of a Beedrill sting, something he was pleased about. Teki looked around him again. "Where have you gotten to?"

Almost as if on cue, the purple monkey Pokemon bounded from a nearby tree, her two tails wrapping around her trainers neck as she gave him a hug.
"Have fun?" He smiled, observing Ambipoms huge grin. "I don't know what you got up to, but your bows wonky already!" Ambipom pulled away as Teki straighted the red accessory that was attached to her head. "There. All better." Ambipom nodded in agreement as she jumped from her trainers arms to the ground.Teki looked to the sky, it was starting to get dark. Soon, the Pidgey would be sleeping and more sinister Pokemon would be appearing.

"Right then, we had best get to a Pokemon center." Teki said, trying to remember the way they had been heading before the battle. "The nearest is Viridian City." He said to his monkey Pokemon, who was much more interested in a berry she had found in a nearby bush. "That's handy. The guide says they have a library there. That means I can follow up that lead I was given at the Pewter Museum."

The trainer looked around him again.

"Now, which way?"

[[OOC: Just your friendly neighborhood OBSESSIVE RPER dropping in to RP. Wheeeeeeeee...]]

Kalesng had seen a lot in his days, including the Festival of Stars, he'd seen dragons fight over an egg, even the birth of a pokemon, but never had Kalseng seen a flamethrowing octillery. Kalseng recognized that the octillery was special the moment he had witnessed the odd attack. But not only that, Kalseng had noticed the trainer himself. He looked to be one of the most arrogant trainers Kalseng had ever laid eyes on. And Kalseng had met the Kanto champion.

Regardless of his better judgement, Kalseng decided it would have been best to simply help the poor trainer in finding his way to Viridian City.

Kalseng was wandering through the forest, until he saw the trainer. He stopped and watched the battle, his eyes wide in amazement. The trainer used a flamethrower and taunted the other trainer, so Kalseng quietly followed him. Once the trainer found his Ambipom, Kalseng knew that this trainer had done a lot in his life, and that drew Kalseng's interest to an extreme pinacle. So when the trainer had become lost, Kalseng stepped out of the forest to help him.

The sky was the ultimate shade of blue, not too soft, not too dark. The wind was slight, rustling his seafoam green ccape, along with his deep green hat, which in turn rustled his dark brown hair. The grass was short here, barely coming up to the height of his big toe, therefor his worn-in denim jeans were untouched by the grass. The heat that day wasn't intense, it was just cumbersome, so his long-sleeved forest green shirt was plastered to his chest. He didn't have a ton of muscle to show off, but he wasn't muscle-less. His misty green eyes scanned the trainer over again, this time from close up, to make sure it was the right decision.

Kalseng strode through the clearing towards the trainer, thinking about how to get the next town, and if he needed to go. "Hello there," Kalseng's voice was a slightly deep, melodic voice. "I heard you were going to Viridian City." Kalseng informed him, shifting his weight to his other foot. "I need to go there as well. I thought I'd check out the gym." this was the truth. If Kalseng could get into the gym, he could not only challenge the final gym leader first, but he'd have a new story to tell.

"Marill-chan, I'm not sure coming to Kanto was a good idea," Kirabi said. His pokemon, Marill, bounced up from the floor and on to his lap. "I know Johto gave us a good feel for adventure, but we just jumped from one place to another." Marill looked up at him, and spoke with her eyes, rather than with her incomprehensible name. "I know Tail-kun's excited, and Spots-chan doesn't mind either way..." Marill shrugged, and hopped up to Kirabi's shoulder as he stood up.

He wasn't that impressive a figure. He was tall, sure, and quite thin. He was moderately attractive, with dirty blonde hair and slightly feminine features. On his body, today he was wearing a very light blue, tight-fitting t-shirt, and perfectly clean, casual fit jeans that reached his white skate-shoes. On his wrists, he had plain wristbands, but on the right one he had two pokeballs attached, presumably holding 'Tail-kun' and 'Spots-chan'. Without thinking much, Kirabi went over to the cafe area.

"What'll it be, then, Marill-chan?" Kirabi asked. Marill hopped on to the counter and looked around before pointing at a certain brand pokemon food. Kirabi nodded, and looked around the food himself. "I think I'll have that," he continued, looking at the pasta dish on offer. Minutes later, they were sat at one of the many tables. Kirabi looked around, and noticed that there weren't altogether that many other trainers here today.

"Probably because the Gym's closed, right, Marill-chan?" Kirabi said thoughtfully, helping himself to his pasta. Marill gave a non-commital "riilll" and started eating her food.

Ambipom had instinctively stepped in front of Teki as soon as she had noticed the newcomer, attempting to look intimidating. Teki had to smile at his companion however, as she never could quite manage to look menacing.

"Don't mind her." Teki said, looking over to the new arrival. "She likes people to think she's tough, but she's just a big softy really." At this, Ambipom looked up to her trainer, a look of displeasure on her face. This, however, soon turned back to her normal grin as Teki ran his fingers through the tufts of hair on the Pokemons head.

From the looks of the trainer, he had spent most of the day out in the forest to. Like Teki, sweat held his shirt to his body, but the trainer did take pleasure in the fact that his own frame contained more shape and muscle. In his head, Teki quickly scolded himself. He had only just met this guy, and was already trying to one-up him. This had been one of the young mans faults for many years, but also helped him in his training. Teki was sure it was this characteristic that kept him working so hard with his Pokemon.

However, this man was not challenging Teki to a battle, he was just offering to travel to Viridian with him. He would have to make an effort not to be so competitive, not with this one anyway. He had already scared the young trainer from earlier away. His comment was meant to be constructive, to expect the unexpected, but it apparently wasn't taken that way.

"I'm Teki, by the way." He said, extending his hand to the stranger, who, Teki couldn't help but notice, was wearing clothes that almost blended him in to the forest. "If we are both heading that way, how about we go to Viridian together?" He paused for a moment, before adding, "maybe you can stop me from getting lost."

Sure, it was insincere, Teki knew he could find his way if he really tried, but it was an effort.

Kalseng knew that if he had offered to take the man to viridian he might be pepper sprayed. So instead, he expected the trainer to offer the invitation. When the trainer extended his hsand, Kalseng took it, and shook the hand. "My name is Kalseng." He replied. "But you can call me Kal. Most do anyway." After shaking hands, he pulled away, and gestured towards the back of the trainer. "Viridian's that way, for the record." Kalseng was happy that this trainer was willing to travel with him. Seeing the way the trainer's ambipom protected him reminded him of Haunter.

Wait, where was Haunter? "Haunter..." Kalseng called, barely loud enough for Teki to hear. Lo and behold, Haunter faded into view right next to Kalseng. "There you are. You've probably been watching, huh?" Kalseng asked the pokemon. Haunter nodded, and Kalseng turned his head back to Teki. "This is Haunter. Haunter, Teki. Teki, Haunter. Now, shall we head off?" Kalseng asked, smiling.

Ambipom, not scared as most Pokemon would be, looked up at the ghost Pokemon with interest. Teki was also looking at Haunter, impressed at the sudden materialization. He had no idea the Pokemon had been around. Mind you, neither had its trainer, Kal.

It was obvious though, that the two were good friends. Just like Teki and Ambipom. Of course, Teki loved all of his Pokemon, but he and Ambipom shared a very close bond, and she never seemed to mind walking around, unlike Oswald and the others. Well, he called it walking, ever since evolving and gaining another tail, Ambipom was more often than not seen swinging from trees, lampposts or anything she could find.

"Stop that!" Teki said suddenly, turning to Ambipom, who was cautiously passing her tail hands through the gaseous Pokemon and waving them from side to side. Hearing her trainers shout, the Pokemon quickly pulled her tails away, not noticed the irritated look on the face of Haunter.

"Way to curious." Teki smiled, stroking his partners head again. "Anyway," He continued, looking to Kal, "this way you say? Then yep, we should make a move."

With that the young trainer started to head in the direction Kal had indicated, Ambipom by his side, her tails bobbing behind her as she walked. Teki wondered if Ambipom really knew why they were going to the city. He had of course confided his secret in her, but did she understand?

Why would she? No one else had.

It felt nice, Gordon thought, smiling and adjusting his sunglasses, to be back in Kanto. It would have felt nicer, though, if Lapras's back wasn't so uncomfortable. Still, he figured, it was better to be lying on the spines than in the chilly water of the small lake his Pokemon was floating in. Gordon sat up and looked at himself. "I should probably put my shirt back on before this nice tan turns into a burn." He told Lapras, who took the comment as a command to head back to shore. Gordon took off his sunglasses and grazed a hand through his jet black hair. He had been touching his hair often lately as he had just had it cut at this neat place that used Scyther rather than traditional scissors. His hair felt so nice now he couldn't help but touch it every few seconds. It looked better, too.

"Oh no." Gordon said, growing angry as he looked at the spot he had left his shirt. Politoed had been splashing around, playing with Slowking of course and he had completely soaked Gordon's shirt. "Politoed!" Gordon shouted angrily. The Pokemon looked up, smiled, and dove into the water's depths. Gordon rolled his eyes.

"I told him not to," Slowking lied, smiling wide before yawning and allowing his eyelids to droop casually.

"Yeah yeah." Gordon mumbled, not believing Slowking for even a second. He had a habit of lying and had led Gordon to believe that he was going to evolve soon before his trainer had checked online and realized he had been lied to for over a month now. Figures the one Pokemon in his group that could talk was so annoying. He was smart, though, and loved to give information out in an obnoxious way. At times he was more helpful than a PokeDex. Gordon grabbed a different shirt, a plain white one that he wore inside out to hide a large spaghetti stain on the back. How he managed to get a stain on the back of his shirt he had no idea but it was better not to let it be seen.

"Return." Gordon said, picking up his nearby PokeBalls and returning all but Smeargle, who he didn't notice until he had placed the balls on his white belt. "Ready to go?" He asked the Pokemon, who had just finished painting a rock and had signed it with a signature squiggle. Smeargle nodded and merrily trotted behind his trainer. Gordon picked up his bag and slung it over his shoulder. Feeling his smooth hair once more he smiled and followed the path he had been taking before he had stopped to rest. He noticed some trainers up ahead and decided to say hello. It had been ages since he'd traveled with anyone and who knew? Maybe these trainers were looking for someone to travel with too. "Hi!" Gordon said, interrupting whatever the two were talking about. Not a very suttle person he went right ahead and asked his question. "Asuming you two are trainers," That bit wasn't really needed as an Ambipom was close to one of them and a Haunter close to the other. "Would it be alright if I traveled with you guys? Just for a little bit anyways." Smeargle studied the two and their Pokemon with interest and smiled wide.

Kalseng walked right alongside Teki, trying to keep up with his rather quick pace. Kalseng realized then that he probably should start joggnig in the mornings again. Haunter connected telepathically with Kalseng, and said tartly "I told you so." Kalseng looked distastefully at Haunter, and raised his finger. He was about to lecture haunter when a trainer walked up next to him. The trainer inquired as to where they were going and if he could come with.

"I guess, if it's alright with Teki." Kalseng had spent the time before responding looking over the man. He looked rather muscular, and he followed the whole theme by wearing a shirt that stuck to his chest with moisture. Kalseng laughed softly. "Gee, we're like a little nest of identical eggs..," Kalseng thought.

Eggs. Kalseng forgot to care for the egg in his bag. Kalseng pulled out the Dratini egg he had obtained a while back, and looked it over for any cracks. The egg was warm to the touch, meaning the poor things was getting too warm. Kalseng immediately cradled it, hoping to level out the temperature. The egg was taking forever to hatch, but Kalseng had patience.

He then turned to Teki. "It's a Dratini egg." Kalseng explained. "Now, do you want him to come with, or is three a crowd?"

Teki stopped himself giving Kalseng an odd look. What had he done to give the impression he wouldn't want anyone else traveling to Viridian with them?

"Of course you can join us." Teki said politely, addressing the new trainer. "But we had best get a move on." Both he and Ambipom looked to the darkening sky. It wasn't that he was afraid of the dark, but would rather not be traveling through a forest well known for its Beedrill during the night.

Ambipoms thoughts had left the fall of the sun quite quickly, and she was now occupied with observing the Smeargle which belonged to the trainer that had just joined them. Teki swore this was how she acted whenever she met a new Pokemon. Whether or not every species was new to her, she had a bad memory, was overly interested or just rude Teki did not know. But it didn't matter to him, she was still his Ambipom.

The slight sound of a buzzing in the background prompted Teki to up his pace a little, expecting the new trainer to follow behind.

Gordon smiled. The three trainers exchanged names before heading onwards to Viridian, as they informed Gordon that was where they were headed. Gordon had spent a short time in Viridian last time he was in Kanto and he didn't mind going back, it was fun there. Smeargle was lagging behind, painting on trees that caught his interest. Gordon hoped no one would mind but he knew the paint would wear off next time it rained. Besides, the trees looked better with a little color on them, orange to be more specific.

Suddenly, Gordon's hands flew to his mouth as he stiffled a laugh. The other two trainers didn't notice, which Gordon figured was a good thing. Ambipom, walking ahead, had a large orange squiggle painted on her behind. Gordon looked to Smeargle who was smiling wide and decided to return him before he got into any more trouble. It felt weird not having a Pokemon beside him so Gordon released Vibrava. She noted the new trainers with interest before landing atop her trainer's head. She quickly flew off, though, as it was getting darker and she loved to fly at night. Gordon couldn't wait for her to evolve so he could fly on her back. He could just imagine flying through the air on a powerful Flygon...

"Ambipom, what's that all ove-"

"So Viridian, huh? Whatcha plan on doing there?" Gordon interrupted Teki quickly, not wanting to be in any trouble.

Kasleng replied softly in his somewhat deep, melodic voice. "Well, I'm going to check out the gym, and maybe battle the leader. I love getting new stories to tell, after all; who wants to hear a storyteller and bard that doesn't have many stories?" Kalseng asked, as a smile played across his face. "Why do you want to go there? Do you want to battle the gym leader? Or do you find me so darn attractive you just wanted to follow me to get a good look at my butt as I walk?" Kalseng laughed pretty hard at this concept. In fact, he had to stop walking and grip his stomach. It was either the perfect joke, or Haunter was messing with his brain. Yup, definitely that.

"I-ha-I'll ki-snicker-kill you," Kalseng burst back into laughter. "Y-y-y-you son of a b-WAHAHAHAHA!" Kalseng turned hysterical with laughter. After Haunter stopped, Kalseng returned him to his pokeball. Once in the pokeball, Kalseng yelled at it a little. "And don't come out till you've learned your lesson!" Kalseng ordered the ball.

((OOC- I'm for sure not as good as all of you, but I hope you don't mind my joinage...))

The streets of Viridian began to light up, as the sun faded behind the mountains. The calls of many worried mothers could be heard, summoning their children back in from play. A few neon signs flickered on, advertising the clubs inside. The oddest sight of the city tonight was, however, the large amounts of Pidgey flying in from the nearby forest.

"I still say the sunset looks better from the sky...." Cody mumbled to the Espeon in his lap. She had curled herself up in such a way that her read rested securely under the edge of the blue vest Cody was wearing. Of course, that could be seen as normal, since she usually sticks it up the white t-shirt he wears beneath. The fountain behind the two wasn't all that thrilling, but it made for a nice bench. "Haven't seen Silver for awhile....that can't be good..." Cody said quietly, perhaps to Espy. The Espeon looked up to Cody, as if saying,

"I can't understand a word you just said, but okay..." and then purred, demanding she be stroked. Still uneased, Cody stroked his hand down Esp'y back. Perhaps it was the velvety feel, or maybe a Psychic connection, but it calmed him down.

Viridian wasn't the biggest city in Kanto, and thus wasn't as loud as say, Celadon at night. Still, the cooling air attracted shoppers to line the city streets, some purchasing, some just window shopping. Being raised in Olivine, Cody should've been used to the sounds of a city. But, for the when he was 20 he moved to Blackthorne, one of the most secluded spots in Johto, thanks to it's location in the mountains. For a time, he was a gym trainer there, using only his Salamence. Occasionaly, he would stand in for Claire when she had to go out for some reason. This, was probably the second proudest achievement of his life.

"Whaa?!!?!?!!" Was Cody's sudden reaction, that almost sent him crashing into the fountain behind him. Almost from nowhere, his dark blue eyes met with the black ones of his Aipom, Silver. In fact, the reaction had caused no harm to Cody, but more of to Silver, who recieved a swift kick from Cody's well built legs. It sent the Tiny-Monkey Pokemon flying into the air, and splashing into the foutain behind, disturbing the bath of a small Tailow. Said bird proceeded to peck away at the monkey, then flying off.

"That," Cody laughed, "Is comedy in it's purest form."

OOC-Nah, your good.

Virgil- Watch the autoing, it was ok in this case, but ask me if you want to make my character say something.

BIC-

Ignoring kals strange outburst, Teki went to answering his previous question.
"I just want to go to the libary." He said, not looking up. "And thought it would be nice to see more of Kanto whilst we are here." His thoughts drifted away from him a little. "Always did want to see the Cinnebar volcano..."

Ambipom gave a disappointed look as Smeargle vanished in to its Pokeball, but, like everything, soon forgot all about it. She was still disappointed, however, that she had not had the chance to get him back for painting her back. Well, there was always next time. The added bonus would be that Smeargle had no idea Ambipom knew of the mark, so the revenge would be al that more sweeter. The element of surprise, as Teki had always called it.

The small group continued their short walk and soon arrived to the outskirts of Viridian City. It seemed a rather quiet place, other than the cries of an Aipom as it was pecked at by a Tailow. Teki quickly grabbed hold of one of Ambipoms tails, knowing she would instinctively run to help. More often than not, however, she would cause more trouble than she was trying to prevent.

"looks like the gym is closed." Teki said looking to Kal. "I hear that happens quite often. You never know though, maybe in the morning?" The gym was a huge building, towering over many of the others in the city. There had been all sorts of rumors in the past about the gym leader of this place, and Teki didn't have any idea of who it was nowadays.

Looking around quickly, Teki soon spotted the tell tale signs of a Pokemon Center.
"Time for some food, I think." Teki smiled, looking to Ambipom as she jumped up and down on the spot. "Care to join us?"

Perhaps rudely, Teki assumed the invitation would be accepted, and headed towards the Pokemon Center.

Kalseng recognized that Aipom. He'd seen it before... Only once, But he knew that Aipom, it's demeanor, the way it swung, the way it acted, how calm it was when faced with pain... Was that... Cody's?

Yup. Cody walked over to the Aipom, scooping him out of the fountain. Kalseng ran lightning fast towards the trainer. He knew that trainer. It was Cody. The unexpected trainer was slammed into by slurr of green shades, and he toppled over. Kalseng kneeled on his chest, and his arms were holding down Cody's. As he fell, he heard the sound of a pokemon leaving its ball. Strange, but Kalseng paid little attention to it.

"Pin!" Kalseng excitedly shouted. "And here I was, thinking you could beat me at tackling!" Kasleng started to laugh, and fell off of Cody. he continued laughing, and was met by an overzealous aipom to the face. Kalseng laughed until Aipom rose high in the air, at least a story, and promptly fell into the fountain.

"Haunt haunt haunt haunt haunt!" Haunter's eerie laugh split the air, and the pokemon was holding its gasious figure in laughter, it's innards sore from the laughter it was emmitting.

It had been ten seconds since he met Cody, and Aipom had already gotten into trouble. That shows one of two things. One, Kalseng got Aipom in trouble a lot. Or two, Kalseng had to stop letting Haunter out of his ball.

Cody lay on his back, laughing. It was good to see Kal again. Then, Haunter dropping Silver in the fountain again made it that much better. Forcing himself into a standing position, Cody gave Kal a quick hug, then let go. Silver, though angry at Haunter, leaped out of the fountain, and sat on Kal's head, his version of a hug.

"So," Cody said, after his laughter finally subsided, "What brings you here?" Cody said, gazing past Kalseng into the starry skies.

Silver had noticed the Ambipom, and in a second or two, was off of Kalsengs head, and sprinting (read, swinging from street poles etc) towards her. "Prrrrriiiiiiii!!!!!!!!" SIlver called, leaping off of a pole and landing on his tail in front of Ambipom.

"Don't think for a second that you're a better tackler then me," Cody said to Kal as they walked to the other two trainers. "Hey," He said, extending his hand, " 'M Cody, and this Aipom is Silver. He won't hurt anyone....usually...." Cody laughed at the end.

(( "Sir" Nem that means alot coming from you of all people lol. Thanks!))

Kalseng explained the situation in all of its total blandness. After a few moments, Kalseng was finished and smiling broadly. He gestured for Cody to follow, and they walked into the pokemon center, Kalseng preoccupied with finding the correct combinations of large quantities of food. After ordering what he could afford, Kalseng sat down at a table with his overly large tray of food, and he devoured it all morsel by morsel.

Kalseng wasn't exactly a pretty eater. He would often times require many napkins during and after his meals just top contniue eting foor. Kalseng had the spaghetti, which just made the comvination even worse. Kalseng tore at it, trying to keep it on one plate. Said plan failed, and Kalseng witnessed a meatball go flying across the room, and taking a Marill down with it. Kalseng stopped eating, and ran over to the Marril.

"Are you okay?" Kalseng asked through a mouthful of pasta.

((Nevermind then))

Cody's mind wandered as he and Silver walked into the Pokemon Center. He showed Silver to Nurse Joy, just to make sure no permanent damage was done by the drop and Tailow peck. Waiting for the results, Cody meandered to one of the walls of the center. There was a poster advertising the Indigo League. Cody was half tempted to register, but decided agaisnt it.

"Uhm," A Nurse called, looking at something on the computer, "Cody? Yes Cody, your Aipom is fine!" She stammered.\

"Right, thank-you." Cody said with a nod. Silver leaped off the counter, and onto Cody's shoulder.

"Hey guys," He called to all the trainers he had come here with, "I'll be out by the fountain if ya need me." He said, grabbing his backpack and heading out the door.

Kirabi looked up as Marill was hit by a flying meatball.
"Well that's just rude," he said, grabbing a napkin and wiping the sauce from his pokemon's side. "Marill-chan, are you okay?" Marill nodded, but shot a slightly scathing look at Kalseng as he approached. However, Kirabi smiled warmly.

"Hello. If I may suggest, try slowing down eating a bit," he said, spearing another piece of pasta on a fork. He studied Kalseng briefly as he chewed on his food. The boy seemed like a skillful enough trainer, but it was a shame that his manners were not quite as good. Neither was his cleanliness, judging from the sauce still all over his face from his food. He let his eyes wander a bit, and saw someone much more interesting.

He assumed it was one of Kalseng's friends. He vaguely remembered noticing him, Kalseng and someone else enter the centre together. He was attractive. Something about that hair, that dark hair that looked like no brush could tame it, and that tight top that showed off a fairly impressive physique. The boy knew how to accessorize too, with a nice necklace. Kirabi glanced back at Kalseng.
"Who's your friend?" He asked.

"I'm Teki." The young man replied, before Kalseng even had the chance. He was of course presuming the question pertained to him, but that was just part of Teki's nature. There was a slight bit of doubt in his mind as to why the other trainer would be asking about him in particular, but none the less he wasn't going to complain. He was worth asking about, after all.

After a few moments, Teki noticed that Ambipom was looking up to him, a slight frown on her face. This was soon removed however, when he added, "And this is Ambipom." The small monkey Pokemon smiled at her trainer, remains of her meal smeared over her face.

Teki ran his hand through his dark hair idly.
"And you are?"

"Kirabi Yaka," Kirabi said, extending his hand to Teki. "And this is Marill-chan. Marill-chan's been my friend and companion since I first left home, but I'm sure you and Ambipom can understand that perfectly." Marill looked at Ambipom with a mildly curious look on her face. It was not challenging at all, just very interested. She hopped to the ground and approached Ambipom, extending one of her short arms for a pseudo-hand shake.

"Care to join me?" Kirabi asked Teki, gesturing to the empty seat opposite him.

"Sure." Teki replied, hesitating a little as he took the seat opposite Kirabi, perhaps feeling a little bad that the invitation had not been extended to Kalseng and the others. "You just here for the evening?" Teki inquired. "To be honest, we will probably be out of here by tomorrow. After I visit the library." Teki stopped there, not wanting to reveal to much to this stranger.

Beside the two trainers, Ambipom had grabbed both of Marrils short arms and was shaking them both up and down, grinning as she did, the bow on her head bobbing from side to side.

Kalseng felt a bit lonely, standing alone now. He watched the little pokemon jump and shake hands, and Kalseng smiled. Something about that just warmed his heart. He turned back to the trainer, apparently named Kirabi, and he smiled. He held out his hand to him, and spoke. "Hello, my name is Kalseng T'Audor, I come here from... well... everywhere, but I came here to see the Viridian Gym." Kalseng explained.

He did come here for more than just that, but that was not the important thing. Letting them all think that was it, that was the important thing.

"That's convenient," Kirabi said, just after he finished his meal and drank a mouthful of coke. "I'm heading for the library too, at some point. There are a few interesting stories about the areas around here, so I thought the library would be an ideal place. Might I be so bold as to ask to accompany you?"

Kirabi looked up at Kalseng, politely listening to him speak.
"Of course, you're invited to join me as well," he said, shaking Kalseng's hand. "Sorry for my rudeness. The Viridian Gym is closed, last I heard. Apparently the pokemon league is having some difficulty finding an appropriate Gym Leader. That's what I heard, anyway."

"So, what brings you to Kanto, Teki?" Kirabi asked.

"The Library, mainly." Teki replied, honestly. "Not that I'm some book worm, you understand. Just some information I need. I was told in Pewter City that I would find it here."

Teki looked to him Ambipom, who was still playing around with the Marril. Luckily, the Pokemon did not seem to mind. Not like the time the poor monkey had been unfortunate enough to try and befriend a Gyarados.

"And yeah," Teki continued. "Feel free to come along." Although he wanted his real intentions to be private, he didn't mind Kirabi tagging along, even if he was a little confused as to his intentions. The only time he had experienced anything like this was the girls back at home, a few of whom always seemed to want to "acompany him" somewhere of other.

"Oh, I never thought you were, you're much better looking than the last bookworm I saw," Kirabi said, completely unashamed of what he had said. He glanced at Marill, who had finally been worn out by Ambipom's playful attitude and had climbed back up on to the table, looking shattered.

"I think I need to call it a day for now, though," Kirabi said, nodding to Marill. "What time should I meet you in the morning?"

"Whenever." Teki replied, slighty taken aback by that last comment. "I'll have to get my training in before though," He added, subconsciously flexing his upper arms. He looked down the Ambipom, who was imitating him with her tails. "We want to keep nice and healthy don't we?" He smiled, as the monkey Pokemon nodded enthusiastically.

"It'll just be a quick session tomorrow though," he continued. "I don't have any of my gear with me. So should be ready at about 10?"
