Aspen flinched and his lips curled back in pain. His body tensed up before he yanked the rest of the straw out and scuttled away. He dived into some hay and began licking the wound on his ear.

"Are you ok," blossom asked as she crawled over to him. She stayed close to the ground and tucked her tail below herself. She pressed her ears back and whined softly, scared about having hurt him to bad.

Aspen looked over at Blossom, his ear tilted down slightly. "I'm fine, just, my ears are more sensitive than an average cats" He meowed, gently swiping his tongue across Blossom's forehead comfortingly.

She nodded and sniffed at it before bringing her tongue to make sure it didn't get infected. She kept her ears back as her tail swished around, "I'm still sorry about hurting you".
