This is my first attempt in years to actually start an RP, sorry if it's crappy or a bit too much information to handle. English isn't my best class.
It's possible this RP may be dark and characters may die off. If you find you are in discomfort with this, I'd advise you don't join.

About a century prior, there was a war among Humans and Pokemon about the freedom of Pokemon in Unova. Two sides were formed and the war was split -- Trainers and their Pokemon against a Pokemon Rebellion. The lovely regions that we all knew were covered in notable scars of destruction in many towns. Unlike most fabled wars, these didn't end well. Battles were more destructive due to the Humans' improvements in technology. Their technology gave Trainers such an advantage that... Eventually, their own ideas backfired. Humans became extinct.
Pokemon of both sides of the war saw the consequences of their actions and, at some point, the remaining Pokemon of each side came together. Their leaders came together, deciding to end the restless fighting.
An Altaria named Arcus, who fought on behalf of the Trainers, and a Charizard named Regal, fighting on behalf of the Rebellion, agreed to sign a peace treaty. This treaty was called "The Treaty of Arcus and Regal".
"...Following the treaty, the two created new civilizations from the Humans' own. Some of the Human towns just became new shelter for Pokemon, while there may have also been new civilizations built in the wild. With new civilizations, Pokemon have even chosen to use the Humans' technology, although not that effectively... Even so, our mistakes from both the fabled Humans to us, are something to learn from," a Raichu was standing on top of a stage, talking to a crowd of Pokemon. Several sheets of paper were in his paws as the Raichu quickly adjusted a tie around its neck. It spoke loudly, filled with pride, "Thus we must always maintain the peace that New Unova has to offer."
Even if that may be true, for some odd reason, there is an eerie feeling present in the air. What could be awaiting to disrupt a whole century of peace?

- Edilite [ED-ILL-ite] (Castella City): A large city with many buildings surrounding the area, although a majority are abandoned. Broken lights are seen everywhere and there's a few ports present with abandoned ships. Two islands are seen from the distance, although no body goes there. Despite appearances, some Pokemon have declared Edilite as the town of celebrations.
- Shattered Shelter Zone (Nacrene City): A small town with small warehouses and a huge museum in the center. The museum seems to have fossils and a peculiar machine... There are also abandoned trains within the area, but have been inoperable for centuries. Pokemon here are constantly fiddling with the old railroads or the mysterious machine in the museum.
- Trizest [TRI-ZEE-st] (Striaton City): Buildings are mostly intact. Although, a building that use to be a restaurant is mostly in ruins. Monkey-like Pokemon are almost always in that one building. Within the area, an abandoned school building with dusty books. No Pokemon can read them it seems. The town has a small Organization, RARE (Researching and Analyzing Regions of the Elapsed), that allows Pokemon to travel, explore, document and research parts of New Unova. It's ran by a Luxray with a co-leader Mareep.
- Endorport [END-Oh-Poh-rt] (Virbank City): Very well known port city for good and bad reasons. The town is truly involved in the trade economy of the New Unova region. Many merchants reside in this town, working cooperatively with transport Pokemon. While it's great for a new start in business, it's often suggested you don't travel alone at night... And to keep your guard up.
- Forest Isles (Route 18 ): Located off the coast of the New Unova peninsula and Trizest. There are a few islands that chain along the seas. There are several abandoned buildings with some old Human technology. Pokemon would travel for the beautiful view or for research purposes.
1. Pokecharm Rules Apply! I don't want this to be shut down so quickly...
2. Cursing, romance, and gore are allowed, but don't go overboard and keep it PG-13.
3. Humans have been deceased for at least a century in this RP. Meaning, you can't say you're a Trainer's Pokemon.put a pun of somewhere in your form
4. Mega stones, Z-Moves, Fakemon, Alola forms (Alolan Raichu, Alolan Vulpix, etc) and Legendaries/Mythicals are NOT allowed.
5. "Hate the Character, Not the Player;" In short, you may hate an RP character for being such a jerk, but please don't hate the person playing those characters. RolePlaying is basically acting, remember that.
6. NPCs are present, I will have a list of the characters below that also follow the same RP forums. These NPCs will be decided by everyone in the RP, but ultimately it will be an act of majority vote or by my statement. I'll further explain this if needed.
7. PTK (Permission To Kill) must be granted to official kill off someone else's character. Please look back at Rule #1 and #2, and avoid god-modding.

Name: Kinesis Eve (Played by @Absol_Chiliarch )
Gender: Female
Species: Espeon
Age: 18
Hometown: Trizest
Personality:
- Highly intelligent, Friendly, Curious
- Quiet, Judgy, Struggles in understanding others
Appearance/Accessories: An Espeon with light lavender fur. She has a purple bandanna that covers her orb.
History: An Espeon that has never really seen the outside world. As an Eevee, Kinesis grew up wishing to explore places outside of Trizest. Her parents often told stories of how the world was prior to that old war. Growing up Kinesis always attempted to sneak out of town to see the old, abandoned Dreamyard (name is known due to Musharna), although unsuccessfully.
Her family has a tradition where around an Eevee's 13th Birthday, they may choose to evolve or not. Kinesis evolved around the age of 15 after suffering a training injury... No one in her family talks about it.
Notes: Seems attached to her bandanna. Mid-ranged combatant. She has an older sibling that works for a company in northern New Unova.

Name: Ciel Arinne (Played by @Absol_Chiliarch )
Gender: Male
Species: Absol
Age: 20
Hometown: Endorport
Personality:
- Intuitive, Serious, Witty
- Entomophobic (Fear of Bugs), Greedy, Cold
Appearance/Accessories: The average Absol with a worn, navy blue jacket. Ciel's jacket is purposely worn to help him fit it around his torso. It has two pockets on his sides, but there are notable tears across the back, front, and the right side. The sleeves that were originally on it have been torn off.
History: Endorport can make some Pokemon really on edge at times. Ciel, however, was born and raised in the port town. With the town being primarily focused on the industry, he worked with his father to run the Arinne Trading Business in Endorport and was chosen to be the Heir over his siblings. Although, Ciel looks forward to it, he left town to travel before being the next to take over the business.
Notes: Two siblings are in his family. His youngest sibling went off to study technology around the New Unova region and his eldest runs a "guild" in Endorport. He hasn't spoken to them for a long time. Ciel will only own the Trading Business once his father passes away.

Name: Robert 'Dodger' Dodgson (Played by @Rex )
Gender: Male
Species: Dewott
Age: 21
Hometown: Shattered Shelter Zone
Personality: Dodger is an industrious sort, a definite hard worker. However, he can be quite single-minded, easily becoming fixated on a project to the detriment of all else. He's also a quiet, distant sort who prefers the company of a machine to any of his fellow Pokemon. This makes him very independent: he is completely self sufficient, capable of going weeks if not months without having to return to town to resupply. As one might expect for someone who spends his days working with machinery, Dodger is very intelligent. However, his distant nature and difficulty connecting with others has also made him very secretive, he plays with his cards close to his chest and doesn't open up easily.
Appearance/Accessories: A normal Dewott, who wears a pair of thick goggles and a red bandanna, both of which get pulled over his face when he works. He also carries a bag of supplies, and when he's working adds a tool belt to the mix.
History: From a young age, Dodger has been interested in old human technology. The few working examples, however, are less than impressive. Fascinated most especially by the great metal trains that carried people and Pokemon across Unova. Any hope of salvaging these trains in the Shattered Shelter Zone were dashed soon after forming: over the century many parts of the track have become overgrown, and much of what was left has been picked clean.
All was not lost, however. Stories passed down since the fall of humanity told of a great train station across the desert, from which all trains departed and all eventually returned to. So, as soon as he evolved, Dodger packed up his meager belongings and left his hometown. First, he traveled to Edilite, then, using his Water typing to his advantage, across the desert to the ruins of what was once Nimbasa City. There, he works on getting just one of these great machines operating again, occasionally returning to Edilite to sell scrap metal and other baubles he has no use for to restock on supplies.

Name: Scott Lawson (Played by @Rex )
Gender: Male
Species: Shiny Mienfoo
Age: 19
Hometown: Endorport
Personality: Having been trained from a young age to become a traveling doctor, Scott is able to remain calm under pressure, and work quickly and efficiently. Though he is kind by nature, he can be quite clinical at times, and his manner of speaking can come off as patronizing. Because his work requires him to move around fairly often, Scott has never been able to maintain a true friendship, and he struggles to relate to other Pokemon and can himself be quite opaque. He tries his hardest to be friendly though, even outside of doctor-patient interactions. He is prideful of his abilities as a doctor despite his personal failings, regardless.
Appearance/Accessories: Scott wears a red bandanna around his neck, which he pulls up around his muzzle when working on open wounds. He also wears a red armband with a white cross embossed on it to identify him as a medic, and finally a large satchel within which he carries his medical supplies.
History: Scott got his start as a doctor healing scavengers of the old Virbank Complex afflicted with various poisons or paralysis, before moving on to treating victims of the town's nightlife. He was trained by his father, a Mienshao, and as he came to his own as a medic rather than stand forever in the older Pokemon's shadow, he decided to take his practice on the go. Thus, leaving his hometown to his father's expert care, Scott makes his way from settlement to settlement, helping each when he can. His primary base of operations is a small clinic in Trizest, he's close enough to respond to emergencies on the Forest Isles and in the Shattered Shelter Zone, while his father is only a short sea trip away from Edilite. Scott does, however, often travel from town to town around the region, usually spending about a month or so in each town excluding Endorport.

Name: Agent (Played by @Confidentheart )
Gender: Male
Species: Jolteon
Age: 17
Hometown: Endorport
Personality: Agent is incredibly selfish and manipulative. He is able to mimic the voices of others and is a major con artist. Making a quick getaway is easy for him due to his experience. He also is quick to get the jump on unsuspecting prey. Agent is also goal driven and is far too stubborn to give up on a task, resulting in him getting into plenty of trouble. Due to his manipulative reputation, most avoid him and don't trust him whatsoever. And he was a class A kleptomaniac. If he saw something he wanted or looked expensive, he went for it, no holds barred.
Appearance/Accessories: Wears a black bandanna with holes s his ears can fit through them and is often seen with a cigar in his mouth.
History: Agent was an orphan from the start and was never even given a name. No one adopted or cared for him at any point in his life. Survival was difficult and he quickly learned that sometimes, life just isn't fair, so you gotta make up your own rules. He got tired of trash diving and took up stealing and coning other Pokemon. It was rough at first but he quickly adapted, becoming an incredible thief. This caused the locals to give him the nickname "Agent." He even developed skills in ambushing even the toughest of Pokemon. If there's one thing Agent hated, it was being told what to do or that he couldn't do something. In fact, he'd to do the exact opposite, aside from the instructions he received from clients, whom would hire him for various tasks. If there was one thing about Agent that was honorable, it was his rule of never stealing from his clients, while they're his clients anyway.

Name: Cobalt (Played by @limniris )
Gender: Genderless, goes by male pronouns
Species: Metang
Age: 22
Hometown: Trizest, travels frequently
Personality: Cobalt, as a Metang, often comes across as emotionless and too reserved to connect to. Once a Pokémon gets to know him, they'll find that he's actually quite trustworthy and reliable— traits expected in a member of RARE. As clear-minded as he is, though, Cobalt can be irritatingly uncommunicative in the heat of battle, making it difficult for him to partner up with others.
Appearance/Accessories: Carries a dark gray pack strapped to one of his arms. He has numerous scratches and scuffs covering his body. Sharpening his claws is the only personal grooming he goes through, so his metal hull is exceptionally dull and doesn't shine. This partly helps with camouflaging.
History: Found abandoned in the Dreamyard and raised in Trizest, Cobalt always felt a strong desire to move out and explore the world. He joined RARE as soon as they would accept him, and has since dedicated himself to documenting and researching the region. He sends letters to his friends back home, but doesn't miss them too much when he's out exploring.
Notes: His main focus of research is on unexplored areas, so Cobalt is rarely seen in major cities. When he does visit them, it's to submit his reports to RARE. Although his specialty is studying new locations, Cobalt has good battle skills and is quite capable of defending himself and his research notes.

Name: Arros Farrel (Played by @Riverrunner )
Gender: He's a guy
Species: Zoroark
Age: 19
Hometown: Endorport
Personality: Despite the stereotype of the zorua line being notorious tricksters, Arros is anything but. Living in Endorport has put him permanently on edge, making him paranoid and distrustful of others. In such an environment, he has a rather skittish tendency to run and disguise himself as opposed to fight—what can he say, although cowardly, it's kept him alive thus far. He is immensely curious, leaving him to wander outside of Endorport both in search of objects to sell and adventure. Despite his living circumstance, he still strives to be friendly to others (or at least makes an attempt) and knows when something should be taken seriously.
Appearance/Accessories: Arros is your fairly typical looking zoroark, albeit with a slimmer frame and unkempt, sunken-in features indicative of someone who has spent more time worrying than taking care of themself. These features also carry over to his self-disguising illusions—fortunately, in a post-apocalyptic scenario, such characteristics aren't a clearly identifiable indicator. He wears a distressed-looking grey jacket with far too many zip-up pockets for holding smaller bits and bobs along with a basic satchel bag for carrying (somewhat) larger items. He carries a dark red dust mask around his neck for entering into older areas.
History: Born and raised in Endorport with little parental guidance, Arros was mostly left to fend for himself. Often, he snuck out of town and sold found supplies under an alias and illusory disguise to earn money for food. Without seeing much need for change in this tactic, he continued doing so into adulthood, rarely showing his face in public without the facade of an illusion—for safety reasons, he assures himself.

Name: Scarlet (Played by @tokyomustard )
Gender: Female
Species: Rockruff
Age: 15-16
Hometown: Edilite
Personality: Kindhearted, sweet and compassionate, but jumpy, hasty and paranoid.
Appearance/Accessories: She wears a distinctive dark-blue scarf and also blunts the spiky rocks on her body. She's malnourished and has very wide eyes, with dark circles- indicating her constant lack of sleep.
History: Scarlet has been on her own since pretty much the day she was born. Her parents were killed when she was small, but she hardly remembers them, so doesn't really feel any sorrow toward their deaths. Ever since, she had spent most of her days hiding out around Edilite, surviving on as little as possible.
Notes:
- She has paranoia
- She's delicate and susceptible to injury
- She wishes not to hurt others and 'flights' rather than 'fights'
- She's often been called a coward
All of these must have some form of a role in the story. I'll play most of the NPCs, unless the NPC was created by another user.
Characters will be added over time.
