Open Wayvela Region

"It's hot in here..." Manuel said, putting on the sunglasses he had in his pocket. "And there's a lot of people. I wonder where's the professor's lab." He said, while taking out his map of the region.

 

[Tinygirl]

The map shows it's next door to the pokemon daycare, it also notes that it's 'Professor Wawona's' lab.

 

[Ikuze_Lets_Go]

Eijun noticed the butterfliesbut quickly glanced at the map, "Yeah," He nodded in agreement to Manuel's statement. "Maybe it's... Here?" He pointed at next to the pokemon daycare.

 

[ArmedBlue]

"Seems like it." He said, while putting the map in his backpack. "Let's go, then! It's not far away." Manuel sped up over to the Pokémon daycare. He was very excited. He wanted to get his first Pokémon.

 

[Tinygirl]

The lab was large and wide, though it appeared very old, it was very noticeable that it'd been painted several times over with the same shade of bright white, it's door was brand new but the hinges were rusted and ancient, as if they had to replace the old door, the lights were on inside however, suggesting it indeed wasn't abandoned.

 

[ArmedBlue]

"Wow... I guess it's here, even if it looks old." Manuel said. He looked around, searching for anyone. "Anyone there?" He asked. "It feels terrifying." Manuel thought.

 

[Tinygirl]

An old, gravely voice replies from inside "Hold on tykes I'm comin', I'm comin'." a very old, wrinkly woman, with a voice box in her throat and her grey stringy hair in a bun opens the door and looks to Manuel "Oh hello there little boy, you looking for a starta'?"

 

[ArmedBlue]

"Y-yes I am." He said in a scared voice. He wasn't really expecting the voice box, and the place was terrifying. However, he stayed strong and started talking in a more confident way. "Yes, Ma-am." He said, and walked over to her.

 

[Tinygirl]

She smiled softly, and opened the door completely, the hinges creaking as she does so, she looks to the other boys "Hmm..." she suddenly looks quite suspicious "Where'd you folks get that starter?"

 

[ArmedBlue]

"Huh? Starter?" He said, while looking behind him, then down at Pettity. "This little guy... is a starter?" He said, while picking up Pettity and handing it over to her. Manuel was confused, and he didn't know what she was talking about.

 

[Tinygirl]

The woman looks the Petitty over, then looks to the other boys "Where did you all find this? You realize there's been a theft of the last batch of Petitty's recently."

 

[ArmedBlue]

"We... found this pokémon at the airport, and it started following Eijun here." He said, pointing at Eijun. "It seems to like him. We just got here today. Wait... a theft?" He asked curiously.

 

[Tinygirl]

"Hmph....well, two days ago, some group trashed my house and stole every single Petitty I had for the kids looking for their first pokemon. I guess you're lucky you found this one, cause obviously I don't have any to offer."

 

[ArmedBlue]

"That's so sad... Well, at least we got this one back." He said. He didn't like people stealing Pokémon. "Well, about this Pettity, I... think you should keep it for now. At least you have the other starters, right?" He said.

 

[Tinygirl]

"Alright then." she takes the Petitty, but it immediately growls and jumps out of her arms back to Eijun.

 

[ArmedBlue]

"Wow... Pettity must really like him." He said surprised. "I don't really know why." He said confused, but amazed at the same time.

 

[Tinygirl]

The woman leads them into the area "You should keep that pokemon boy." she says to Eijun "Pokemon choose people they love, and those they love will be their best trainers."

 

[ArmedBlue]

"That's wise. I guess that's why you are the Pokémon professor." He said, while looking around. "So this is what it's like inside a Pokémon lab..." Manuel thought.

 

[Tinygirl]

The inside of the lab was old, patchy, and a total mess. Some furniture was broken, there was dust everywhere, the wallpaper was peeling, the only thing that didn't seem from forty years ago was the computers and machines, in a large pod was two pokeballs sitting beside each other.

 

[ArmedBlue]

"Those pokeballs... Are for the starters?" He said curiously, while wiping some dust off a table. He got closer to look at them. "Wow..." He said.

 

[Tinygirl]

"Yes, yes they are. There's also a pokedex available for all of you. Any questions dear?"

 

[ArmedBlue]

"No, I think I got everything." He said calmly. "I guess it's time to see the starters!" He said excited, while looking at the Pokedex.

 

[Tinygirl]

She pressed the button on each pokeball, a large, heavy salmon with dark grey stones for scales pops out of the right one, while a baby blue unicorn with beautiful water for its mane and tail pops out of the left one. The pokedex says in order of who came out: "Boilfin, the Magma Salmon Pokemon, it use to be overfished, but now that it's become illegal it thrives plentifully in the local waters, it is even the staple Pokemon of the Wayvela Region. Bapticorn, the Floating Unicorn Pokemon, professors from all over work tirelessly to find a new home region for this heavily endangered Pokemon, that cannot thrive in Wayvela due to its heat, like many water Pokemon cannot."

 

[ArmedBlue]

"Whoa..." He said amazed. "They're so awesome! It's gonna be hard to choose!" He said, while looking at the Pokémon and listening to the pokedex's descriptions.

 

[Tinygirl]

"Take your time, dear." she says, standing beside you as the two Pokemon look you over, the Boilfin looked kinda grumpy, probably because all it could do is lay on its side.

 

[ArmedBlue]

"Hmm... I think I've made a choice. I'll be taking... Bapticorn." He said, petting the little unicorn. "Want to join me on my journey?" He asked the small Pokémon.

 

[Tinygirl]

The Bapticorn clapped its hooves on the machine happily, making a clanking noise, it cooed "Baaaapt!" it said, raising one of its front hooves to touch your cheek "May I ask why you chose that one dear?"

 

[ArmedBlue]

"I feel... some kind of connection with it. Like, our personality." He said, while petting Bapticorn and smiling at it.

 

[Tinygirl]

The Bapticorn rubs its head against your hand, then jumps down to stand beside you, wagging its tail.

 

[ArmedBlue]

Manuel smiled at the Bapticorn, and then picked it up and pet it. "It's cute. I like it." He said. "Water-types are like my style." He said.

BIC - Eijun had been lost in thought, thinking about the plane flight and how he somehow got separated from his friends. When hearing about the incident with the Petitty being stolen, a frown appeared on his features - crime was something that disgusted him, like injustice, why would somebody do such a thing!?
He had been pulled away from his state of thinking when Petitty jumped into his arms once again, he glanced down at it and at the woman upon hearing her speak to him.
You should keep that pokemon boy. Pokemon choose people they love, and those they love will be their best trainers? His mind repeated what she said over and over as if being played on repeat. "Are you sure? This is your last one," He asked cautiously, though deep down he wanted Petitty with him as much as it appeared to want him. Which actually shocked the brunet since apparently an annoying moron, funnily enough.

"Yes, I'm sure sweetie, now then, Bapticorn is with Manuel, and Petitty is with Eijun, are there any others looking to choose?"

 

[Ikuze_Lets_Go]

Eijun nodded, "There should be some people at the airport, maybe they got lost?" He thought aloud, holding Petitty close to him - he'd have to protect it well from now on.

"Finally, some shade from the heat..." A bispecticled male walked into the dusty labratory, completely unaware of the fact that it was... Well, a lab. He looked around with fascinated caramel eyes, adjusting his glasses before actually noticing the trio. "Oh, did I disrupt the moment by any chance?" He asked, a playful grin appearing on his features.

 

[Tinygirl]

"Oh no dear, I was just giving these fine young children there first Pokemon." Petitty purred softly, watching the man curiously as it laid relaxed in Eijun's arms.

 

[Ikuze_Lets_Go]

"Ah... I see!" The male placed a hand on his hip and nodded. It was clear to see that he was probably older than Eijun and Manuel, but not by too much. He walked up to and croutched down next to the large salmon-like pokemon. "Interesting, I bet that this little guy wants somewhere to swim, probably so that it doesn't become dehydrated - especially given the temperature around here." He chuckled lightly, the black beanie on his head was loose yet made his somewhat spiky brown hair look slick - despite it being quite bad in fashion choice.

Eijun simply watched with a blank expression, was this older male a genuis or something? He just walked in, looked around and then made a smart assumption based on the Boilfin's expression!

 

[Tinygirl]

"Graaaah." The Boilfin grunted out at the man, flopping a bit closer towards him, the man would find the creatures stone fins were super strong -and- super smooth if he were to touch them, and his body naturally radiated heat, but not much, more like an on oven then something actually on fire.

The dark brown haired male blinked a few times out of shock, not many people or Pokémon ever seemed to like him other than the occasional Haunter or Aipom. No matter how hard he tried or how much he cared - which was probably very little, somehow he was still shocked. Starting off, many saw him as a jerk, it could've been considered true, he was one to enjoy getting into other people's heads and laughing heartily at that. He slowly reached out and lightly placed his palm on the Boilfin's tough yet smooth fins of stone, having researched the creatures of Wayvela before arriving meant that he had a good idea about what to watch out for but he expected the fins to be... To be at least a bit hotter, not that he minded.

A small grin appeared on his features as he glanced over at the three, "Don't mind me, I'm just a researcher who's exploring the region," He stated, light reflecting off the lenses of his glasses and Eijun shivering at the sight. The younger boy could only hope and pray that this new arrival wasn't scaring Petitty or that he wasn't holding too tight.

Petitty was fine, and so was Bapticorn, they squeaked at each other as if having a conversation as Petitty laid calmly in his arms "Well good sir, I have all the information one can find on these Pokemon, perhaps you could explore outside as well, all of you, I was about to hand over some pokeballs to these children so they could discover more." she does so, grabbing twenty pokeballs and handing ten to Manuel and ten to Eijun "There you are, now you two love those Pokemon with all your hearts, ya hear?" she smiled softly
