I got a Lucky Egg from a Chansey I caught. What does it do? I attached it to my Lugia and I fought my rival in the Fight Area. After I deafeated his Torterra Lugia got around 7,000 exp points! What's the increase in Exp points about?

What's a Lucky Egg?

A Lucky Egg gives the holder double the EXP from battle. Pretty simple really, give it to a Pokemon to help it level up quicker.
It's pretty rare to get your hands on (made even rarer by Chansey's difficulty to catch), so it was a pretty lucky thing to pick one up.
You phail massively, however, for revealing you use Lugia on your team. Uber Ab00ser.

I'm just training him to level 100. Thats all. I'm slowly going to train almost all the pokemon I have to 100. Lugia's just on my team for raising. I have a different team for battles(But I don't even battle on Wi-fi O_o)
Edit: My basic Battling team has NO legendaries and includes a Raichu, a Flygon, a Drapion, a Scizor, a Glalie,and a Wevile. Lugia's with my basic team that doesn't battle on wi-fi.
