I don't know any good art programs do you guys have any suggestions? (Free if possible)

Here's a good list on tumblr! Along with some tutorials I think. If you have a windows computer, Paint comes with it and is free to use and fairly simple to work with.

I also know of Krita, I haven't used it myself but I remember hearing some good things about it?

Use the help button with microsoft paint. There's a lot of colors on there you can use. Okay. Bye.

If you're on a mobile device or a tablet, I use ibisPaint X! It's got a built in scanner in case you have traditional art, and it's quite handy.
