Welcome back to Pokécharms! We've recently launched a new site and upgraded forums, so there may be a few teething issues as everything settles in. Please see our Relaunch FAQs for more information.
Okay, yeah, as long as we aren't directly interacting with said legendaries then we're golden. Feel free.
Also, really new here. How do I start a poll?
Near "Unwatch Thread" there should be something that says something similar to "edit thread." click on it then click add poll, you should know the rest from there
it was my first game and the one that got me into pokemon but pls any region but kalos. even unova (for some weird reason the last games I play are my favorite)
Well, it's just that some Pokémon want to be in the light for one last time before they're pretty much forgotten by everyone. (Save for a few including me... )
The main issue that would be in my way is balancing out its moves, since the signature move I made might be a bit too powerful here... (Not to mention that it pretty much wrecks the type that's SUPPOSED to be its counter...)
Ahh, well I've finally found the perfect Pokémon for my rival character! (Funny enough he's an official Pokémon and he perfectly fits my rival character that I wanted to make for this RP after doing some extensive research.)
Rival Information: Name: His name is Zephyr. (Known as the fabled spy to some.) Species: Zorua / Tricky Fox Pokémon Age: His age is currently unknown, though he does appear to look rather young. Gender: Male Threat Level: Lvl. 10 ██████████ Appearance: [Not applicable because this is prone to changing in the RP, and he is also a shiny when he is in his normal, fox form.] Personality: [To be revealed in the roleplay or now at the RP craator's request, as this is prone to changing since Zephyr attempts to act out as the Pokémon as best as he can to hopefully get the others to buy it.] Ability: Unseen Shadow (When the Pokémon knocks out an enemy Pokémon in combat, the Pokémon briefly gains a significant amount of speed and evasion. This cannot stack and can only occur every other turn cycle.) Held Item: Smoke Sphere (A modified version of the Smoke Ball, given to Zephyr by his deceased trainer. The smoke sphere has unlimited uses unlike the Smoke Ball, but it has to recharge after use. It allows Zephyr to use it for a multitude of applications, such as having an almost guaranteed from combat, or even using it to surprise enemies while they are blind to his presence.) Primary Moves: Incognito, Subdue, Matador Trounce, Protect. Moves Information:
Type: [type]Dark[/type] Catagory: Status Power: N/A Accuracy: Sure Shot Power Points: 45 Target: Self Range: N/A Description: An elementary move that most illusionist Pokémon have at least mastered the basics on by their preschool years. The user disguises themselves as the Pokémon desired, though they cannot disguise as evolved and legendary Pokémon yet due to them being too complex. The disguise fools all security systems except for Devon and Titan class systems. If the user attacks while in their disguise, the disguise will become broken and they will need to use this move again to reapply their disguise. Effects: Disguises the Pokémon as another Pokémon, and the disguise is lost if the Pokémon attacks.
Type: [type]Dark[/type] Catagory: Physical Power: N/A Accuracy: Sure Shot (If attack hits from behind, otherwise attack fails.) Power Points: 35 Target: Single Enemy Range: Close Quarters Combat Description: The user puts the target in a choke hold until they are unconscious from a brief loss of oxygen. This move will fail if the target breaks free or if it is used at the front. Effects: Damages the target by 200% of their current HP if the attack connects. (Cannot OHKO if the target is protected by sturdy, endure, etc.)
Type: [type]Dark[/type] Catagory: Physical Power: N/A Accuracy: 25% (Increases to 75% if the target falls for this move.) Power Points: 20 Target: Single Enemy Range: Close Quarters Combat Description: An advanced, but often reguarded as a last-ditch move that should only be used if fleeing battle is not even an option, as this move is difficult to master. Most experienced Pokémon will not fall for this move since it is often too predictable. The user makes a feigned movement at the target while relying on the target's naive judgement and overconfidence, as the user goes for a swift, brutal strike on the target's pressure point the second the opportunity presents. Effects: Damages the target by 200% of their current HP if the attack connects. (Cannot OHKO if the target is protected by sturdy, endure, etc.)
Type: [type]Normal[/type] Catagory: Status Power: N/A Accuracy: Sure Shot, halves if used consecutively. Power Points: 10 Target: Self Range: N/A Description: The user strikes up a forcefield of protecting energy around themselves, as they will block all incoming damage. Effects: Nullifies all incoming damage, including status conditions and weather conditions. This attack may fail if used consecutively however.
Past Heists:
Robbing numerous jewelry stores in a mall that rivaled his friend's businesses. (Stealth; alone)
Robbing a multitude of banks to invest in their own, private safe house that is located in an area unknown to most inhabitants in Camtonia. (Stealth/Loud; with Minun and Neourk)
Blowing up a highway in Etepeal and relieving three armored vehicles of their riches and also stealing blueprints to a prototype weapon. (Loud; with Minun and Neourk)
Stealing a diamond in a museum that is worth 3.5 million, while also taking some money from registers and safes. (Stealth; with Minun)
Robbing a warehouse in Kalos to get the parts needed to create the prototype weapon, while also taking additional loot as they pleased. (Stealth; with Neourk)
Wait, so, your character has a rival that makes Giovanni look like chump change.
Not saying anything agains, but, um, seems like he might just straight up murder some of our group. Just saying.
Well, i was hoping for another round of debating between people, but it seems the thread has gone a bit silent. Hopefully it is a temporary state, but if not, glad to see it was interesting for a little while.
So, I assume the RP is going to take place in Kalos since that seems to be the clear winner out of the bunch. (It's probably my favorite region next to Aloha just because of the lavish areas it has; especially Lumiose City.)
Just because I started it doesn't mean I won't listen to the rest of the people here. Personally I'm all for starting it like so many other stories, a group of strangers brought together by chance or circumstances, being drawn into conflict by chance, and then continuing on together because it's harder to go alone, and there's always strength in numbers. Zephyr seems like a shoe in for the drawn into conflict bit.
The end goal however… is a different kettle of fish altogether. Where this'll go, I have no clue.
Sounds as good as anything. More wondering if we should put together bios for all pokemon the trainers have since we've got a psychic on the team as one of the characters.
To be honest, I was going to have another rival that would be more long term or in place of Zephyr, but I'm not sure if I should even have him for this RP since his power is quite questionable for a little Pokémon like him... (Even though he is the shadow Pokémon that's made of all the dark matter accumulated from that specific character from his negative emotions such as hate, envy, etc.)
His moves are uber powerful and can easily wipe out a standard Pokémon team if they're not prepared... and not to mention that he has advanced shadow moves that can severely debilitate the entire team with an array of debuffs...
