When he was injured at 24 he was discharged and decided to take up Pokémon training since he could no longer serve. He completed the Unova gym challenge and recently made it to the quarter finals of the Vertress Conference. Cassius is a big fan of Unova’s signature triple battles and is widely considered one of the best in the region, and the world, at them.Name: Acacia Song (Uh-Kay-Shuh)
Gender: Male
Age: 19
Appearance: Acacia is about 5’11 in height, he is a bit on the skinnier side but still has well toned muscle. He has dark messy brown hair and matching bushy eyebrows. His is half asian, giving him tanned skin and slightly squinted dark brown eyes.
Outfit: Acacia refuses to dress in his team uniform, preferring the clothes he journeyed in, though they naturally fit the color scheme well. He wears a navy hat with a gray area in the front over his dark messy brown hair. He has a red zip-up hoodie with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows and a gray hood over a long sleeve plain white undershirt. Acacia also wears navy blue jeans, black trainer gloves, and red sneakers.
Personality: Acacia’s trademark trait is his perseverance. Though he is a talented Pokémon trainer, he is never disheartened from a loss or misfortune and turns it into motivation to improve. Growing up in a family that largely valued intelligence formed him into quite a smart person; however, he never really cared for being smart. While his brains may be viewed by the public as his best attribute that made him destined to become a great trainer, the reality is that he wholeheartedly cares for his Pokémon and just wants to be their friend. This quality has motivated his Pokémon to fight their absolute hardest for him, that paired with his proficiency in strategizing, quick thinking, and adaptability has made him an extremely formidable opponent. However, Acacia does suffer from depression, though he hides it well. It was brought on from the large scale success of his older siblings in battling and even though he is accomplished, he feels like he has never been able to live up to expectations.

Acacia was born in Slateport City to two successful engineers. He and his two older siblings all shared a passion for Pokémon training and were competitive with each other from a young age. His sister Willow and brother Cypress easily befriended Pokémon when they were little, but Acacia was young and experienced a lot of difficulty trying to catch one. He feel behind Willow with her Eevee and Cypress with his Cubone in terms of Pokémon training.
Years later, after both older siblings had begun their journeys, a ship docked in Slateport, containing the renowned scientist Blaine from Kanto who had come to Hoenn in order to study volcanic patterns. Acacia’s parents were friends with the man, knowing each other through work and had him over for dinner. Acacia quickly became infatuated with the man, especially his Arcanine, and followed Blaine closely for the entire duration of his trip.
When it was time for Blaine to leave Acacia became extremely saddened and begged him not to go. Blaine suggested the young boy simply come with him and study as an apprentice. After hours of pleading combined with some convincing from Blaine, his parents reluctantly agreed. Acacia was only 10 when he left to go live with Blaine.
After two years of living on Cinnabar Island, Acacia had learned a lot from Blaine, and had established a good relationship with a Growlithe Blaine had specially bred and trained with the Growlithe to practice his battling abilities. For his twelfth birthday Blaine provided Acacia with a boat ticket to Pallet Town, telling him it was the best place to start his journey, along with his own PokéNav Plus so he could keep in touch.
Acacia arrived in Pallet and instantly bonded with the Squirtle in the Professor’s lab, much to Blaine’s dismay that he opted not to take the fire type. Together they traveled, not facing too much difficulty in their gym challenges. Surge was the first real adversity the duo faced, but luckily they prevailed when Squirtle evolved and was able to barley defeat Raichu.
Acacia had his first gym battle loss in Celadon and was very upset about it, calling Blaine to tell him about it. After giving the young trainer some motivational advice he sent Acacia the growlithe he had bonded with, providing him with a favorable matchup against the grass type gym that allowed him to emerge victorious. After that he built up a Pokémon team, including a lonely ghastly from lavender town and a dratini he won from the game corner, and battled his way through the kanto gyms, qualifying for the Indigo Plateau Conference. Acacia battled well in the tournament but lost to his older brother, Cypress, finishing in the top 8, when his Dragonair was defeated by Cypress’s Flygon.
After suffering a crushing defeat at the hands of his older brother, Acacia vowed to become stronger and set out to the Kalos region to train. He had completed the gym challenge and placed in the top 4 in the Lumiouse Conference, losing to a trainer with a mega Ampharos. Acacia then continued to train and had grown fond of the battle chateau and spent much of his time there training, eventually earning the prestigious rank of duke. One day another duke came in who claimed to be a water type master. It was Siebold, the Kalos elite four member and water type master. He had heard stories of the power of mega evolution, but was only now witnessing it to its power first hand. Acacia watched in awe as Siebold and his mega blastoise defeated challengers in an almost effortless fashion.
After Siebold was finished battling, Acacia ran up to him and begged Siebold to teach him the secrets of mega evolution. Siebold agreed, but said Acacia would only be worthy of mega evolution if he and his blastoise could defeat him without the aid of mega evolution. Acacia accepted the terms and the two sent out their blastoises to engage in battle. It was a long and hard fought battle, but it primarily consisted of Acacia defending Siebold’s attacks, never taking the opportunity to gain the offensive. Eventually Acacia’s blastoise fell and he was greatly saddened. Siebold confronted the young trainer and explained that Blastoise was an extremely well trained Pokémon and the loss was Acacia’s fault rather than a difference in Pokémon strength. The water type master instructed Acacia to strengthen himself as a trainer and return in a year for a rematch.
Motivated to become stronger, Acacia sought out traveled to the Hoenn region where he completed the gym challenge and rounded out his Pokémon team. He then entered in the Ever Grande conference, this time losing to his sister in the semi finals. After their battle, Willow congratulated her brother on a well fought battle and offered him a Shinx egg as well as an invitation to the battle resort. Acacia gratefully accepted both proceeded to train at the battle resort for the remainder of the year. Upon returning to Kalos to battle Siebold, he lost again but this time in a much closer battle. Siebold again told him that he must become a stronger trainer and told him to return in another year.
Acacia traveled to Unova, where he finished forming his final team, but did not participate in the Unova league, instead he opted to compete frequently in the Pokémon World Tournaments held in Driftveil City. Acacia did well in those tournaments, winning a large amount of them and earned the nickname “The Innovator” for his ability to constantly improve on his own strategies to adapt in battle. His accomplishments at such a young age gained the attention of many, including the former champion Alder. Alder sent Acacia a letter, telling him to meet him at Pledge Grove where they would battle. Acacia accepted and battled the trainer but was swiftly defeated. Alder liked the trainers persistent spirit and offered that he stay with him a year and train. Acacia quickly accepted and informed Siebold that he would need to wait another year for a rematch. Alder put Acacia and his Pokémon through grueling training everyday and at the end of each week they would have a full battle. Progress was difficult but by the end of the year the battles were evenly matched, with it not being a surprise for Acacia to win.
Acacia thanked Alder for all he had done and returned to Kalos for his rematch against Siebold. It was an intense battle between the two blastoises that lasted 5 hours, with neither willing to give an inch. Both Pokémon were extremely exhausted and about to pass out when Acacia suddenly returned his blastoise to his pokeball, claiming it had already been through enough and mega evolution was not worth severely damaging his friend. Siebold was impressed that he would forfeit the match and such power out of love for his Pokémon and deemed Acacia worthy of the power of mega evolution, handing him a key stone necklace and giving blastoise a metal bracelet containing a blastoisite. Acacia gratefully accepted and went on his way.
Acacia competed in the Indigo Plateau Conference once more, defeating both of his siblings on the way, and narrowly winning the finals with the power of mega evolution on his side. Since then Acacia has returned to Unova where he frequently trains with Alder and competes in Pokémon World Tournaments.

However, this doesn't mean she's laid-back by any means - she's one of the most perseverant trainers you'll ever meet. Once she's set on something, she will obtain it come hell or high water.
She has a strong protective instinct, and takes responsibility for things that are out of her control. She often feels upset if she makes a crucial mistake, believing that she's let people down.

Backstory:
Talia Verdance Silverstone was born in Lumiose City to Mina and Liam Silverstone. In her early years, she showed two defining passions: Pokemon, and music.
At the age of four, she began studying vocals and piano, along with guitar on the side. She had a natural talent for the art of music, wowing her friends and family.
She enjoyed helping out at her parent's friend's daycare, starting at the age of six - when she was old enough to understand what was needed. Over the course of the years, she befriended the Pokemon, one in particular. That particular Pokemon was an orphaned Togepi, rescued from the dangers of the wild.
The two became nearly inseparable, with Talia even going so far as to sneak into the daycare and spend nights with the small Togepi. When Talia turned ten years old, she decided to set out on her journey. She originally planned on selecting Fennekin, but found that she couldn't bear to leave her friend Togepi. Even after four years, the pair still could not be apart. After some convincing, which may have involved using childish cuteness to her advantage, she was allowed to take Togepi with her as her starter. Later, her younger sister Allie would take a similar path, with Eevee as her starter instead.
While taking on the gyms of Kalos, Talia met a young Swablu. The small Pokemon seemed to display a natural talent for the move Sing, but was ridiculed for it by the other Swablu. Taking pity on the Swablu, she caught it and added it to her team, naming it Melody. The two became incredible friends, almost as strong as Talia and Togepi in their early years. Later on, she also caught her Ralts and Espurr.
After gaining all the Kalos gym badges, she caught her faithful Leafeon and took on the Pokemon League. Even with only five Pokemon, she managed to get into the Top 8 - a respectable ranking. However, she wasn't done yet.
She decided that she wanted to head to Hoenn, in order to learn more about the Pokemon Contests there. She did obtain all the gym badges and achieve Contest fame in the region, but did not take on the League - opting to take some time off and create more music instead. Her fame only grew, as the fourteen-year-old's musical talent became more and more prevalent.
After one year, she headed to Alola, where she obtained her final Pokemon - Popplio. She completed the island challenge, and took on the Alola League - this time successfully winning in the finals in a close match between Harmony the Togekiss and another trainer's Aerodactyl. She was now sixteen years old.
Once she returned home, her father approached her and gifted her something very special - a Key Stone. It had been a family heirloom for generations, being passed down to the newest trainer in the family. Her father had once used it, along with his Camerupt. As the first-born child, she had been selected to receive it over her sister Allie.
Melody the Swablu was now an Altaria, and seemed to be dead set on mastering Mega Evolution. Talia was not sure at first, but her father and Melody convinced her that Mega Evolution was worth the struggle. She was extremely reluctant to leave home once again - but she did regardless. All her Pokemon - with the exception of Melody, for obvious reasons - were left with Talia's family, who would train the Pokemon while their trainer was gone. This was to ensure that Talia could devote all her time to a combination of training Melody and tracking down the prized stone.
However, the Mega Stone would be difficult to track down. She left home once again, in search of the ultimate prize - an Altarianite.
For four years, she searched both her home region of Kalos and the region of Hoenn, together with Melody. Because she had already obtained the Gym Badges of the regions, there was nothing distracting her from her goal. She made sure that Melody was kept in top shape along the way, ensuring that she'd be at the same strength level as the other Pokemon once they returned.
Eventually, in the Hoenn region, they came across a strange cave that the locals had been staying away from. Apparently, the Pokemon there were particularly vicious. Talia took this to mean that they must be guarding something. After days of preparation, Talia and Melody ventured into the Cave.
The locals were not wrong. The Pokemon, mostly Dragon and Flying types, were incredibly protective. They would never let the trainer and her Pokemon past until Melody proved her worth. It was more challenging than any League.
Deep inside the cave, they eventually came to a dead end - with an Altarianite at the back of the large cavern. However, it wouldn't be that easy - as an incredibly powerful Altaria along with two other Dragon-types guarded the coveted crystal. Talia learned that they - along with the many Pokemon in the cavern - had guarded this stone for many years, waiting until a very strong Trainer and an equally strong Altaria got through the gauntlet. They offered to give the pair the Altarianite, but on one condition - that Talia and Altaria could take down all three Pokemon at the same time. Talia accepted this offer, as did Melody.
The battle raged on for several hours. It had come down to Melody vs the lead Altaria, which went on for some time. Finally, Talia ordered Melody to use Return. The sheer bond of the Trainer and Pokemon made this move immensely powerful, and Melody managed to knock the other Altaria out.
After Talia revived the Pokemon, the Altaria allowed Talia to take the Mega Stone. It revealed that it had not only been testing Melody's power or skill, but the bond between the trainer and Pokemon. Even though Talia could not speak Pokemon, she understood nonetheless.
Talia and Melody quickly realized upon leaving that though the Altarianite was an incredible prize, something even more valuable had happened on their four-year journey - and that was the strengthening of their bond.
Because Talia still had all the Hoenn badges, she had the rest of her team sent to her - who, true to her family's word, had been sufficiently trained while she was absent - and decided to take on the Hoenn League.
With the power of Mega Evolution, Talia and Melody were incredibly powerful. They managed to win in the final, with the narrowest of battles between Melody the Mega Altaria and a Mega Mawile.
Companion Pokemon: Jolt the Female Pichu
All are great and accepted, though you will have to edit Carl since Hoenn 1v1 is already taken and you already have a 1v1 characterWhooo this took some time, but here's 3 more characters to help round out the roster
Name: Ethan Blackburn
Age: 25
Gender: Male
Appearance: Skinny Build, 5 feet 9 inches, Pale skin, Light brown hair that’s graying at the ends, blue/green eyes, sharp teeth from losing enamel in the centers
Outfit: brown short sleeved button-up shirt, black t-shirt, tan jeans with chains looped at the waist, and black athletic shoes with green laces (currently wearing his team jacket for the competition)
Personality: Extremely experienced in battling, he has learned to keep calm and collected over the years, far different from the aggressive and expressive battling style he started with. He cares for all of his Pokémon, but holds the strongest bond with his Tyranitar. Having known them since childhood, he's always been able to trust in them when he couldn't trust anyone else. Recently learning to put his trust in people, he is often still reserved and quiet, but makes a conscious effort to understand others even if it backfires on him. Despite having accepted he doesn't need to be the strongest in the world, he still wants to be recognized for his own achievements. He will lose his temper when compared to someone else, as he has yet to fully let go of the pressure that was always placed on him in youth. This leaves Ethan to carry himself in a relatively serious manner often, not quite getting when people are joking around all the time. He'll occasionally mistake a joking comment for a serious statement.
Hometown: Pallet Town

Event: 1vs1
Companion Pokémon: Aria’s Mimikyu
Years after a legendary Trainer surfaced, making waves across all sorts of regions, Ethan was born and given the same name as that legendary Trainer. From a young age, he was placed in Trainer School, to learn the ins and outs of Pokemon, Battling, Training, and everything that would prepare him for when he came of age to start his journey. It was at this school, he made friends with another young boy, named Michael. The two were virtually inseparable while they attended school. They would always test their knowledge against each other, and pushed each other to be at the top of their class. It wasn’t a competitive rivalry, more than it was the two of them wanting to work together to outclass everyone else. Their situation worked at first, but soon, they would encounter an unforeseen wrench thrown in their childhood plans. As well as experience how harsh and unforgiving life could really be.
Walking home from school one day, the two 8-year-olds found an injured Pokemon on the path. Quickly acting to save the poor creature, Ethan and Michael rushed it to Professor Oak’s Pokemon Lab. The two boys waited all afternoon, and into the early evening, until the Pokemon had regained some of its energy. Talking with the aides of the lab, it was revealed to them the Pokemon had suffered those injuries from a Trainer, rather than a wild Pokemon. Disgusted, both of them promised to look after the Pokemon, and visit the lab every day to play with and take care of it. This worked for about a year, until the boy’s competitive parents learned of the Pokemon that had been rescued. Urging each of them to take the Pokemon for themselves, the two of them hesitated, but gave in to the pressure. It sparked an argument, with Ethan and Michael getting into a fight. Seeing the boys become violent towards each other, the Pokemon ran away from the lab. As a result, they blamed each other for what happened, and the strong friendship the two had was shattered.
Once they were finally able to start their journeys, the new Trainers still refused to let go of their resentment. Pushing their Pokemon to the limits in battle, the only thought both boys had on their mind was outdoing the other. They were incredibly harsh, pursuing the strongest Pokemon they could find, and aiming to concoct the ultimate team to eventually stomp each other into the ground. When Ethan reached Vermillion City, he faced his first loss against Lt. Surge. His parents hearing of the loss, berated him endlessly over it. In a fit of anger, the young boy said he didn’t need them anymore, and all they were doing was ruining his focus on becoming stronger. From there on, he abandoned his family, and vowed to become stronger than the Trainer they named him after. His rematch with Surge went in his favor, and continued on his journey. He would face more losses along the way, but always managed to find a method to brute force things to win the rematches. After a long and arduous adventure across Kanto, both boys would eventually meet for a penultimate clash at the gates of the Indigo Plateau.
As they clashed, a tournament official who had been watching, stepped in mid-fight. Ending the conflict, the judge revoked both boy’s entry to the conference. This only served to make the bad blood run even deeper between them. After all that work, they were now forced to end their adventures early. Not sitting around for long though, the boys learned of the neighboring Johto Region. Refusing to let themselves be stopped from proving themselves, they travelled to the new region, starting over from scratch. Once again, both children would continue with their brutal methods, pushing each of their Pokemon to their physical and mental limits. Faced with more losses from time to time, Ethan couldn’t understand why he still lost even when he was already strong. It wasn’t until reaching Mahogany Town, that he began to understand what that tournament official, and many other Trainers had been saying all along. He was finally beginning to see that in his blind pursuit of strength to outdo Michael, and to carve out his own identity, that he had become like the Trainer he cursed before starting his own journey.
Earning his final Gym Badge, as he travelled through Victory Road, the teen had begun to wonder what he was supposed to do. After spending so much time thinking narrow-mindedly, Ethan felt everything he knew had been tilted on its head. He had learned he was in the wrong, but could he actually change himself? Fate wouldn’t wait for him to come up with an answer, as once again, he met with Michael at the gates of the League. Much like last time, the two had an intense battle, with the agreement that the loser would give up becoming a Trainer. Not wanting to lose, but seeing the condition his, as well as Michael’s Pokemon were in at the end of the fight, Ethan forfeit the battle. He didn’t care anymore about doing anything to prove he was stronger. Michael’s final Pokemon after the result was declared, dropped to its knees, more exhausted than either of the two realized it had been. Upon closer inspection, the poor creature had already been in a weakened state, having fought the whole time while being sick. For a brief moment, the two put aside their rivalry to ensure they got the Pokemon to a Center to be cared for. Now it was Michael’s turn to understand his mistakes. Once his Pokemon was healed, he decided to do some soul searching. Telling Ethan to win, and that he would eventually challenge him once he was ready, Michael left his rival to finish things.
After the battle was over, Ethan was then greeted by an old friend, the Pokemon that him and Michael had helped nurse back to health. What had once been a weak and small Larvitar, had become a strong and intimidating Tyranitar. Having watched the boy’s adventures so far, it offered the teen the opportunity to capture it, but only if he could win the Silver Conference by abandoning his old ways of battling. Accepting the challenge, Ethan finally could feel some of his old self return. He had remembered now why he wanted to become a Trainer in the first place. With this motivation, it took everything he had, but managed to succeed at winning the Silver Conference. Once it was all over, he reunited with Tyranitar, and the pair took on the next challenge. The Elite Four. In his first battle, Ethan failed miserably against Will’s Psychic Pokemon, despite having Tyranitar at his disposal. The man was able to read his mind, and figure out every move the young teen would make. Needing to regroup, Ethan spent several months in personal training, before tackling the Elite Four once again.
Upon rematching Will, he had developed a technique that allowed him to direct his Pokemon off instinct, preventing the Elite Four member from reading his moves. With this new trick up his sleeve, he was finally able to turn the tides in a close match, but a victory nonetheless. Managing to defeat Bruno and Koga as well from the results of his training, he eventually was stopped in his tracks by Karen. She overpowered him with her Dark Types, especially when she brought out her Mega Houndoom. Asking her what that strange power was, she told Ethan about the Mega Evolution process and where he could learn more. Still getting comparisons of himself to the Legendary Trainer, the teen thought that maybe this power would set him apart. There was no record of them ever using Mega Evolution, so if he could learn and master it, he believed people would finally recognize him as his own person. Hurrying off to Kalos, he would abandon his challenging the Elite Four and Champion, deciding to try again once he had a grasp on this ability.
Beginning his Kalos adventure, the growing boy tried to glean whatever information he could on Mega Evolution users from the region. His efforts turned up that Siebold, of the Kalos Elite Four, was one such person. Learning that it required two components to Mega Evolve, the Key Stone and Mega Stone, Ethan set out to tackle the Kalos League in order to meet Siebold. Viola and Grant proved to be fairly easy, but when he faced Korrina, things proved to be extremely difficult. Just barely managing to win against her Mega Lucario, the teen hadn’t realized Gym Leaders here were capable of Mega Evolving as well. Steeling himself for even stronger competition, he worked even harder, training and further learning to bond with his Pokemon. During this time, he became even closer to Tyranitar, having gained back the Pokemon’s trust from when he was a kid. As their relationship continued to grow through rigorous battles, Ethan now understood fully the lessons people on his adventures before had tried to tell him. Pokemon and humans were meant to work together. That was how he would truly gain the strength he desired. Defeating the rest of the Gym Leaders, the teen had started to age into young adulthood. The seasoned fighter made his way to the Top 4 of the Kalos League, before he was brought down by a Mega Sceptile. Only furthering his resolve to increase his bond with his Pokemon, and obtain a Key Stone and Mega Stone of his own, Ethan prepared to return home and rest for a while.
Having missed his initial opportunity, the young man spent some time relaxing in Johto with his Pokemon. He continued to do more research, this time, into myths and legends. Through the research process, he eventually came across the Sinnoh Champion Cythia’s name in texts. With articles rumoring of her power, he thought maybe she would be the perfect candidate to learn from. About to gear up for Sinnoh, he decided to visit Karen before he left. Seeing his resolve and determination, the Elite Four member offered him private instruction on Mega Evolution. After several months of this training, all that remained was to obtain the Key Stone and a Mega Stone. Giving him a tip that the Hoenn Champion knew how to Mega Evolve, Ethan changed course, deciding to pay a visit to Steven Stone.
On his adventure through Hoenn, things began to take a turn for the worse. Unexplainable pains began to ail him. He felt at times like his heart was going to explode when battling. The once light brown hair on his head, was beginning to thin and gray at the ends. When he went to see a doctor to determine his condition, he learned that ever since he was a kid, he had a disease that caused his body to overwork itself. The current problems he was facing, were from the combined stress of his earlier adventures, as well as the rigorous training and exploits he had been working towards recently. They sadly informed him that time was limited. If he wanted to have longer to live, he would have to end his adventures. Otherwise, if he continued, he would only have several years left at best. The young man could feel his spirit breaking. He had worked so hard, was coming so close to achieving his goal. Only to be told this. Thinking over things for a long time, he turned to his Pokemon to ask what they wanted. While not wanting to see their Trainer die, his team knew that both parties wouldn’t be satisfied if things ended here. Giving him the determination to see things through to the end, Ethan finished his adventure, placing 4th in the Hoenn Conference despite his weakened state.
Once again, Ethan had been left back at square one. His attempts to find a Key Stone and Mega Stone hadn’t worked. Feeling himself getting weaker day by day, the young man was no longer sure if he had the stamina to continue trying to get stronger. Needing to clear his thoughts, he decided to head to the islands in Alola for a change of pace. Taking up the island challenge, it felt relaxing to go at a slower pace than his previous adventures. Here, he met a girl named Aria on his Island Trials. The two became fast friends, and it was the first time the young man had actually opened up to another person. Which resulted in them travelling together throughout Alola. Spending this time here showed him the joys of simply living life, and he had found someone who appreciated him for who he was. Towards the end of his Island Trials, she asked him what he planned to do afterwards. Having no real desire to enter the tournament even if he qualified, after completing the final Island Trial, Ethan decided to settle down in Alola. Now that he had someone who he felt close to, he wanted to spend the time he had left with Aria and his Pokémon.

Personality: If one were to describe Aria in a nutshell, she would be the definition of a ball of energy given human form. Not one to sit idle for long, she enjoys exploring new places, trying new things, and meeting new people. Some might call her naive and childish, but even in the face of being hurt and lied to, she always gives people the benefit of the doubt. She would rather be wrong than to falsely judge someone. Extremely protective, if a friend is in danger, you can bet she’ll be by their side to back them up, one way or another. This leads to her having strong perseverance in battle, and deep trust in her Pokemon to get things done.

Event: 2vs2

Aria started her Pokemon adventure a little later than most of her friends on the island. When she was young, she had asthma, which led to many breathing problems and an inability to be as active as she wanted. Never giving up, she had hope that one day, she’d be able to join her friends with stories of her own challenge. Just before she turned 13, her asthma began to clear up, and eventually went away completely. Finally able to run, swim, and explore, the young girl dove immediately into her Island Challenge. While she was happy to finally be on one, there had been many places on MeleMele Island she hadn’t been able to check. Leaving no stone unturned, she made sure to see every last sight she could think of, before moving on to Akala Island and the rest.
After finishing her final trial, she thought about taking on the Alolan Pokemon League. When she contemplated it, she didn’t feel as compelled to enter and battle the other Trainers who had completed their trials. It had been enough for Aria to have the opportunity to explore the islands of Alola. However, her itch for adventure hadn’t been quelled. Learning about Pokemon Contests that were held in the far off Hoenn and Sinnoh Regions, she decided to give them a try. While she never became good enough to enter any Grand Festivals, she managed to win a couple ribbons in each region. Seeing her Pokemon beginning to lose some of their battling edge however, she worried that the contests had spoiled them a bit. Returning to participating in Gym Battles, her next stop was the Kanto Region that had been talked about heavily back home.
Obtaining all 8 badges, she decided this time, that she would give the Indigo Plateau Conference a try. Giving her all, she managed to place in the Top 8, reaching a respectable finish. Her final round had seen her lose to a Mega Venasaur. When asking her opponent afterward how they found the Mega Stone and Key Stone, they mentioned the remote region of Orre. Telling her of the vast desert they travelled and eventually came across the items, Aria concluded on heading there to see if anyone in the region would be able to teach her about the strange process.
Upon reaching the Orre Region, those plans quickly changed. The island girl had to learn to adapt to the thugs that overran the towns. Despite it being an experience forced upon her, she loved the excitement of Double Battles that most of the Trainers participated in. She would participate in a few of the Colosseum Challenges, and even gave Mt. Battle a shot. When she eventually returned to Alola, she brought the Double Battle spirit with her, popularizing and getting more people interested in it. Eventually taking a break yet again from battling, when Ethan arrived in Alola, she happened to be working as a tour guide. Seeing something in his eyes she couldn’t ignore, Aria approached him and the two began talking.
Learning a little about him, she realized what it was she had seen in his eyes. It was a similar feeling she had when she was little. Despite always staying positive, she had occasionally thought her asthma would never go away, and she wouldn’t be able to experience everything she had. Offering to be his personal tour guide for the Island Trials, she stuck with the young man, as he began to open up to her more and more gradually. It had become a mission of sorts for her to help give him hope against his debilitating sickness. Becoming closer day by day, when Ethan eventually completed his final trial, she felt a bit sad that things were over. Assuming he would challenge the League and then leave, she prepared to say goodbye to her new friend. Leaving her shocked however, the young man had decided to stay. Since then, the two became even closer, and she took a different job, tutoring new trial goers alongside him.

Born and raised atop the waters of Pacifidlog Town, Cal from a young age was introduced to coexisting with Water Pokemon. Many of the residents, including himself, would frequently go on dives and fish daily. When he was 7 though, an accident happened, where the diving group he was with managed to anger a school of Huntail. Racing against the Pokemon, Cal wasn’t able to swim fast enough to avoid being caught by one of them. Biting down on his leg, the Huntail dragged him back, and the boy was unable to hold his breath through the pain. People in the group were quick to come to his rescue, but the experience had left several scars. After that, he was too afraid to set foot in water again. Being near the ocean and Water Pokemon, would send him into bouts of PTSD, reliving the moment he nearly drowned. Unable to live without constantly being in fear, his immediate family sent him to stay with his grandmother in Lavaridge Town.
Feeling much more at ease away from the ocean, it took a while to get used to the hot springs and heat of the town, but Cal enjoyed the change of pace. He would no longer have nightmares, and being away from the vast ocean managed to contain his PTSD. He would often spend time sneaking moments as well, where he could watch Flannery take on Gym Challengers with her Fire Pokemon. On his 10th birthday, his grandmother asked Cal if he would be going to Littleroot Town to receive a Pokemon and take on the Hoenn League Challenge. At first, he wanted nothing to do with it. Venturing across Hoenn meant he would one day have to deal with the ocean again. Not wanting to disappoint his grandmother though, he mustered up the courage to attempt the challenge, after putting it off for several weeks.
Arriving at the lab, his delay had resulted in most of the Pokemon already being picked. Cal didn’t mind though, as the remaining Pokemon no one had taken was Torchic. Content with his Fire Pokemon, the pair began their travels together. Developing a fast bond, the boy made sure to keep his Torchic away from water as often as possible. It made it difficult to take on Roxanne, but by finding a Seedot along the way, he was able to get past the first Gym without having to face his fears. As they continued on though, Dewford Town would force him to have to cope. Once Brawley had been taken down, Cal had to cross the ocean to get to Slateport City. Freaking out the whole ride over, he managed to get on the boat, but hopped onto land the first moment he got a chance. This trend would continue across the rest of his adventure, coming to an even bigger head when he had to get to Mossdeep City.
Only capable of taking boats so much, the Trainer was eventually forced to catch a Water Pokemon to use in order to continue the rest of his journey. Unable to do it alone, he had made friends with another boy named Lee. The two set to catch Pokemon off the coast of Lilycove. In their attempt, Lee was swept up by a strong current, forcing Cal to act. Fighting against the memories, he managed to momentarily overcome his fears to save his new friend from drowning. It was the first instance that he would battle against his PTSD. The second came when battling Wallace at the Sootopolis Gym. Failing his first attempt, Cal steeled his will, and challenged them again. Winning the second time around, his fear of water was slowly dissipating. Facing it one more time, he managed to reach Ever Grande City. Having battled his fears, as well as the Gym Leaders, he felt ready to take on anything.
Making it to the Top 8, Cal eventually was knocked out of the Hoenn League Conference. Though he hadn’t won, he was satisfied with having overcome his fears. From there, he decided to travel to Kanto and Johto, in order to experience their waters as well. In his adventures, he earned more Gym Badges, and entered both conferences, placing in the Top 16 at Kanto, and another Top 8 in Johto. After his adventures, he chose to settle down for a short time, returning home to Pacifidlog Town. There, he came up with the idea for a special system to use the surrounding ocean, in order to provide power. Posing his idea to the Devon Corporation, they agreed to provide funding his project, and now the young man has become recognized around Hoenn for revolutionizing hydro power for the whole region.

Definitely, though you could always challenge someone for a team captain position. You are a very skilled rper so I feel you could potentially earn one (not specifically Kalos)@Mango137 could I have Ophiuchus claim the Kalos 1v1
Yep still open positions! Just check under the teams tab on the first pageI was wondering if this is still accepting or not?
Just read through them, they’re great! Both are accepted. I’ve been waiting for everyone to claim desired roles but now I’ll make my 2nd-5th characters!Alright, my two new character's bios are done!

Yeah I was just thinking that... I suppose it’s alright if people wanna make a whole doubles team though I thought the fun would come from working with another rper. This is what we have so far.
We still need a 3v3 and 2 trainers for the Partner Double Team for the Kanto Birds. In total, three more characters for this team.
We need 2 trainers for the Partner Double Team for the Johto Towers. In total, two more characters for this team.
We need a 2v2, a 3v3, and 2 trainers for the Partner Double Team for the Hoenn Eons. In total, four more characters for this team.
We need a 1v1 and a 2v2 for the Sinnoh Dreamers. In total, two more characters for this team.
We need a 1v1, 2v2, and 2 trainers for the Partner Double Team for the Unova Swords. In total, four more trainers for this team.
Kalos is completely filled!
We need a 1v1 and 2 trainers for the Partner Double Team for the Alola Ultras. In total, three more trainers for this team.
I would suggest working with others when making characters, so nobody accidentally takes one someone is filling out already.
If we risk losing anyone due to outside circumstances away from Pokecharms (like school, which I know is starting for some of you youngsters), I would suggest having them let someone else auto their character if they are unable to make the fight or we make a quick NPC and just say your character decided not to show up for whatever reason.
Hopefully, I'm not overstepping any boundaries @Mango137. If you agree, then good. If not, you have permission to slap me and disregard what I say. XD
Also, I don't have a good idea as to how the other spots will be filled if nobody else after would like to join, and everybody needs to have people that aren't in the same team or event if someone has multiple characters. Would we need NPCs to fill the rest and just add in more characters later if other people want to join, and should we allow people to have the same events due to there being a lot of Partner Double characters that need to be made?
