I'm working on some more characters, just only had time to reply to roleplays this week. When the weekend hits, I should probably have some time to throw down a few more characters
I'll make some more characters as well, but they take quite a while and I dont have the time this week to do so.
I'll add one character for Hoenn, one for Sinnoh, and one for Alola once I get some time to make those characters, so I'll have a total of 5 characters, including Shade and Angel. I'll throw the character sheets up in a bit.
Name: Sarah Ilia
Age: 28
Gender: Female
Appearance: She has super pale skin and is about 5'06" (167.6 cm) and weighs 120 lbs (54.4 kg). She is quite skinny, but has a bit of tone to her muscles as she occasionally works out with her Pokemon. She has dark green hair and icy blue eyes.
Outfit: Her usual outfit consists of a long sleeved shirt and a short skirt with thigh high socks and dress shoes with a buckle. She also has an icy blue purse that has little crystals dotting the zipper. Her shirt is usually white and her skirt is usually a light forest green, with white socks and light green shoes with a white buckle. She may also wear a teal green scarf and a longer skirt if the weather is cold and then a combination of a teal green scarf, a longer skirt, and an icy blue parka if it's as cold as her hometown. She has a Z-Ring around her right wrist and she has Icium-Z and Grassium-Z on standby.
Personality: She is quite distant from everyone but her Pokemon. This can make her quite difficult to work with people, as she tends to do things her way and expects people to follow her way. She will rarely ever have other people take the lead unless she knows none of her strategies would work. Despite this cold exterior, she's quite warm and sweet on the inside.

Backstory: Being born in Snowpoint City, she was raised to be tough. Her family were quite emotionally distant, causing her to grow up just as distant as they were. When she met a Snover at the age of 10, that's when her heart melted and she decided to go on an adventure. Leaving her home behind, she traveled around the Sinnoh Region, making more friends and getting stronger, and eventually evolving her signature Pokemon, Snover. She received her 8th gym badge in Sunyshore City, which is where she decided she was more suited for Ice- and Grass-Typed Pokemon.
She then went to Alola and found herself basically dying from the heat. She hurried to Lanakila Mountain and found her more staple member of her team, Tails, an Alolan Vulpix then. The little fox Pokemon helped to take care of Sarah as she was getting over from having a heat stroke. Seeing how sweet the little Pokemon was, she decided to keep him and he didn't disappoint in his battle prowess either. Sarah got a few stamps in Alola with her new teammate and Abomasnow before she felt like she wanted something else.
As she made her way to the Johto region, she found Professor Elm, who was ecstatic to see a Tails, as he never seen this variant of a Vulpix before. She left Vulpix in Professor Elm's care and, in turn, he gave her Mega, a Chikorita then as compensation and as a 'thank you' for allowing him to study such an amazing species. She went through 4 gyms before returning back to Professor Elm's lab and retrieving her Vulpix. She then continued on to gather 4 more badges before attempting the Silver Conference Tournament. She only made it to the Top 16 because she had evolved her Chikorita into Meganium and her Vulpix into the Alolan Ninetales throughout her Johto journey and trained quite intensively to get them used to their new bodies. She had her other three Pokemon that competed, but they didn't perform as well as her main three.
After her loss in the Top 16, she went back home to relax before hearing about another type of Tournament that is said to span all 7 regions. Intrigued, she traveled on over to this tournament to test her mettle.

Appearance: Remus has black hair that he styled to resemble a Mightyena. He also has sharp teeth and yellow eyes. He has freckles and tan skin. He is also 5'05" (165 cm) and weighs 140 lbs (64 kg), his muscles being more defined and a little larger than Sarah's. He also has a bit of an underbite.
Outfit: He wears a white tank top and black shorts and sandals. He also may wear a grey jacket or tie it around his waist. He has many nicks and scratches on his arms and legs due to scuffles with other Wild Pokemon and training his own. He also has a dark grey duffel bag that holds survival equipment, and he has a necklace with canine teeth strung through.
Personality: He acts similar to a dog Pokemon, but still is very human. He is very intelligent despite his looks, yet his other actions from his attention being diverted or when he gets playful ends up making him look comical and strange at best. He is bashful about his behavior and his eyes, but he doesn't try to hide them as he is trying to get over his social anxiety.
Hometown: Littleroot Town, Hoenn

Backstory: He lived in the Hoenn region for quite awhile, taking over his parent's breeding center that also serves as a sort of natural Pokemon Center with home remedies. As he grew older, his spark for adventure fired him up to want to travel. His parents took over their center as Remus traveled about in Kanto, finding other canine, vulpine, and feline Pokemon highly interesting and trying to catch those for his breeding center, as they specialized in those kinds of Pokemon anyway. He went through six regions, not including Alola, with varying amounts of success and gathering a random number of badges from each. He heard about the tournament and ended up heading there before he made his way to Alola.

Despite her size, she is quite strong, her muscles being quite defined. She also has a dragon tattoo on her back from when she was a Dragon-Type Trial Captain on Poni Island.
Outfit: She wears tank tops and shorts with sandals. Her sandals are black, her tank tops range from a deep purple to black, and her shorts are always black. She also has a Z-Ring with the Dragonium-Z inside. She also has a small deep purple backpack.
Personality: She acts tough and can be arrogant, but she is super sweet on the inside. She has a no-nonsense kind of attitude along with being naturally curious and mischievous. She won't let anyone bring her spirits down and she is a generally optimistic person, which can make her seem slightly unrealistic at times.

Backstory: Drayda was born in Alola on Poni Island. After seeing the past Dragon-Type Trial Captain at a young age, she aspired to become one. She trained her body and mind, but wasn't able to completely get in the rhythm of things, causing her stop her training. When she was 10, she was gifted a Pokemon egg that hatched a couple days later, earning her a Noibat as her first Pokemon partner. This allowed her to regain her spark back and trained, now with her partner, to become the next Trial Captain. When she became of age, she went through the Island Trials and completed each one with her new team of Dragon-Types. Once she made it to the Dragon Trial, she fought long and hard against the Totem Kommo-o, who happened to be the "Trial Captain", as the actual Trial Captain had left. She was defeated by the Pokemon and went off to train before coming back.
This time, Drayda succeeded. She became the next Dragon Trial Captain at the age of 17, and completed her Island Challenge... Almost. It took her several tries to beat the Poni Island's Island Kahuna at the time, but she was finally able to prevail and was given the chance to be the Dragon Trial Captain. After more training, she dominated that trial, making her a difficult opponent to fight against. She used her Noivern in an 1v1 battle to prove the challenger's mettle after they go through the gauntlet of Hakamo-o that attack the opponents in droves as they made their way up to Drayda. If they win, they get to go on and fight the Totem Kommo-o. She was very difficult to beat, sending more than a dozen people back to train up again before they eventually beat her to move on, only to be stopped short of receiving their stamp due to the Totem Kommo-o absolutely demolishing them. She only gave out a handful of stamps and Dragonium-Zs to those who beat the last trial.
At some point, when she became too old to continue her Trial Captain ways, she left Poni Wilds and began to train in hiding as the Totem Kommo-o took the position of Trial Captain again. After some more training, she reemerged as she heard about a tournament where all regions come together and fight. Knowing she must join, she traveled over to this area, as she felt the need to fight for her region.

A character that I've been bouncing around and never using, and a character that I never thought I would use! They're not complete yet, but I figured I'd stick them here as well.
Name: Melody Clark
Age: 27
Gender: Female
Appearance: Melody has long black hair that comes down to about halfway down her back and blue eyes. She stands at about 5'9". Her musculature is about average, since she doesn't work out too much but eats healthily. She weights about 160 lbs.
Outfit: While at one time Melody might have dressed more extravagantly for these sorts of tournaments, she decided to keep it relatively buisnesslike, wearing black pants and a black t-shirt. Over he black t-shirt, she wears a light blue and pink jacket that has the Logo for the Sinnoh Dreamers on it's back. Melody also wears an Xtranciever on her wrist.
Personality: While once Melody was quite a friendly, energetic, and easygoing, that was a long time ago. Now when she meets new people, she makes polite conversation but doesn't really try to get to know them. Melody tries to keep a calm, businesslike exterior, but it tends to crack when she hears things about music. She doesn't like adults that do things she doesn't consider 'real jobs', stuff like street performing or living off of only battling. Except for, you know, Gym Leaders and Elite Four Members and Champions and other higher class trainers.

Backstory: Ever since she was a child, there was nothing Melody loved more than music and Pokemon battles. She worked hard in Sinnoh, challenging the gyms and doing relatively well. But her battling career really took off when she was on a plane trip from Sinnoh to Kanto. The plane she was on went down in the middle of the wilderness, and while no one was killed quite a few people were seriously injured. A few days went by with the passengers managing to fend for themselves, when a young backpacker by the name of Robin Deux came across the victims of the crash. Him and Melody went off to get help, and quickly became fast friends. After informing her parents that she was okay and visiting them, she decided to join Robin on his travels. The two went from region to region, battling against powerful wild Pokemon and Gym Leaders and making many new friends.
After a while, she decided to head back to Sinnoh to pursue a 'real' job. Melody gave up making music to focus on her new job, which she really didn't like all that much. The monotony made her kind of bitter, and she ended up channeling that bitterness in the way she battled. She continued battling, getting quite good at it, but stuck with her job. Now, she's done well enough to earn a spot in the tournament.

Appearance: Melody has long black hair that comes down to about halfway down her back and blue eyes. She stands at about 5'9". Her musculature is about average, since she doesn't work out too much but eats healthily. She weights about 160 lbs.
Outfit: While at one time Melody might have dressed more extravagantly for these sorts of tournaments, she decided to keep it relatively buisnesslike, wearing black pants and a black t-shirt. Over he black t-shirt, she wears a light blue and pink jacket that has the Logo for the Sinnoh Dreamers on it's back. Melody also wears an Xtranciever on her wrist.
Personality: While once Melody was quite a friendly, energetic, and easygoing, that was a long time ago. Now when she meets new people, she makes polite conversation but doesn't really try to get to know them. Melody tries to keep a calm, businesslike exterior, but it tends to crack when she hears things about music. She doesn't like adults that do things she doesn't consider 'real jobs', stuff like street performing or living off of only battling. Except for, you know, Gym Leaders and Elite Four Members and Champions and other higher class trainers.

Apologies for taking a long time to get bios done. I'm currently importing and working over my main Pokémon OC to bring in for this. Since they're the one I'm seeing about applying for a Mega Evolution, I'm currently working on two separate instances where in one path, he's able to use Mega Evolution if he's accepted, and another path if he isn't accepted. His backstory is also about twice the length of Jaden's, soooo.....there's that too ^^" The other characters will be easier to add in, just wanted to get my hardest boi out of the way first.

At the age of four, she began studying vocals and piano, along with guitar on the side. She had a natural talent for the art of music, wowing her friends and family.
She enjoyed helping out at her parent's friend's daycare, starting at the age of six - when she was old enough to understand what was needed. Over the course of the years, she befriended the Pokemon, one in particular. That particular Pokemon was an orphaned Togepi, rescued from the dangers of the wild.
The two became nearly inseparable, with Talia even going so far as to sneak into the daycare and spend nights with the small Togepi. When Talia turned ten years old, she decided to set out on her journey. She originally planned on selecting Fennekin, but found that she couldn't bear to leave her friend Togepi. Even after four years, the pair still could not be apart. After some convincing, which may have involved using childish cuteness to her advantage, she was allowed to take Togepi with her as her starter. Later, her younger sister Allie would take a similar path, with Eevee as her starter instead.
While taking on the gyms of Kalos, Talia met a young Swablu. The small Pokemon seemed to display a natural talent for the move Sing, but was ridiculed for it by the other Swablu. Taking pity on the Swablu, she caught it and added it to her team, naming it Melody. The two became incredible friends, almost as strong as Talia and Togepi in their early years. Later on, she also caught her Ralts and Espurr.
After gaining all the Kalos gym badges, she caught her faithful Leafeon and took on the Pokemon League. Even with only five Pokemon, she managed to get into the Top 8 - a respectable ranking. However, she wasn't done yet.
She decided that she wanted to head to Hoenn, in order to learn more about the Pokemon Contests there. She did obtain all the gym badges and achieve Contest fame in the region, but did not take on the League - opting to take some time off and create more music instead. Her fame only grew, as the fourteen-year-old's musical talent became more and more prevalent.
After one year, she headed to Alola, where she obtained her final Pokemon - Popplio. She completed the island challenge, and took on the Alola League - this time successfully winning in the finals in a close match between Harmony the Togekiss and another trainer's Aerodactyl. She was now sixteen years old.
Once she returned home, her father approached her and gifted her something very special - a Key Stone. It had been a family heirloom for generations, being passed down to the newest trainer in the family. Her father had once used it, along with his Camerupt. As the first-born child, she had been selected to receive it over her sister Allie.
Melody the Swablu was now an Altaria, and seemed to be dead set on mastering Mega Evolution. Talia was not sure at first, but her father and Melody convinced her that Mega Evolution was worth the struggle. She was extremely reluctant to leave home once again - but she did regardless. All her Pokemon - with the exception of Melody, for obvious reasons - were left with Talia's family, who would train the Pokemon while their trainer was gone. This was to ensure that Talia could devote all her time to a combination of training Melody and tracking down the prized stone.
However, the Mega Stone would be difficult to track down. She left home once again, in search of the ultimate prize - an Altarianite.
For four years, she searched both her home region of Kalos and the region of Hoenn, together with Melody. Because she had already obtained the Gym Badges of the regions, there was nothing distracting her from her goal. She made sure that Melody was kept in top shape along the way, ensuring that she'd be at the same strength level as the other Pokemon once they returned.
Eventually, in the Hoenn region, they came across a strange cave that the locals had been staying away from. Apparently, the Pokemon there were particularly vicious. Talia took this to mean that they must be guarding something. After days of preparation, Talia and Melody ventured into the Cave.
The locals were not wrong. The Pokemon, mostly Dragon and Flying types, were incredibly protective. They would never let the trainer and her Pokemon past until Melody proved her worth. It was more challenging than any League.
Deep inside the cave, they eventually came to a dead end - with an Altarianite at the back of the large cavern. However, it wouldn't be that easy - as an incredibly powerful Altaria along with two other Dragon-types guarded the coveted crystal. Talia learned that they - along with the many Pokemon in the cavern - had guarded this stone for many years, waiting until a very strong Trainer and an equally strong Altaria got through the gauntlet. They offered to give the pair the Altarianite, but on one condition - that Talia and Altaria could take down all three Pokemon at the same time. Talia accepted this offer, as did Melody.
The battle raged on for several hours. It had come down to Melody vs the lead Altaria, which went on for some time. Finally, Talia ordered Melody to use Return. The sheer bond of the Trainer and Pokemon made this move immensely powerful, and Melody managed to knock the other Altaria out.
After Talia revived the Pokemon, the Altaria allowed Talia to take the Mega Stone. It revealed that it had not only been testing Melody's power or skill, but the bond between the trainer and Pokemon. Even though Talia could not speak Pokemon, she understood nonetheless.
Talia and Melody quickly realized upon leaving that though the Altarianite was an incredible prize, something even more valuable had happened on their four-year journey - and that was the strengthening of their bond.
Because Talia still had all the Hoenn badges, she had the rest of her team sent to her - who, true to her family's word, had been sufficiently trained while she was absent - and decided to take on the Hoenn League.
With the power of Mega Evolution, Talia and Melody were incredibly powerful. They managed to win in the final, with the narrowest of battles between Melody the Mega Altaria and a Mega Mawile.

Accepted! I really like the new mega backstory
Yeah, Mega Evolution will definitely give an edge to whoever is using it, but it's not end all be all. It'll definitely give Talia a power boost though, and Mega Altaria is nothing to take lightly. But from what I've seen of the roleplayers here, I don't think there'll be an issue with godmodding, and making the Megas unbeatable forces.
Before I have any of my battles, I'm usually going to converse with the person my character is fighting. I try to work things out, so that the main thing we get out of it, is a well done fight. It also helps that I don't typically care who wins or loses the fight. It feels good to win, but I've dealt with enough Pokémon battles where logically, the match should have gone in my favor, or ended in a draw. So my main focus is just about putting on a good show, and making sure both combatants are on equal footing. Besides, I think if something goes too overpowered, someone here will step in and say something. I've already seen people voice concerns when something seems to OP that are in this roleplay. Nothing's 100%, but I hope this helps alleviate some of your concerns

Personality: Extremely experienced in battling, he has learned to keep calm and collected over the years, far different from the aggressive and expressive battling style he started with. He cares for all of his Pokémon, but holds the strongest bond with his Tyranitar. Having known them since childhood, he's always been able to trust in them when he couldn't trust anyone else. Recently learning to put his trust in people, he is often still reserved and quiet, but makes a conscious effort to understand others even if it backfires on him. Aria started her Pokemon adventure a little later than most of her friends on the island. When she was young, she had asthma, which led to many breathing problems and an inability to be as active as she wanted. Never giving up, she had hope that one day, she’d be able to join her friends with stories of her own challenge. Just before she turned 13, her asthma began to clear up, and eventually went away completely. Finally able to run, swim, and explore, the young girl dove immediately into her Island Challenge. While she was happy to finally be on one, there had been many places on MeleMele Island she hadn’t been able to check. Leaving no stone unturned, she made sure to see every last sight she could think of, before moving on to Akala Island and the rest.

It had been enough for Aria to have the opportunity to explore the islands of Alola. However, her itch for adventure hadn’t been quelled. Learning about Pokemon Contests that were held in the far off Hoenn and Sinnoh Regions, she decided to give them a try. While she never became good enough to enter any Grand Festivals, she managed to win a couple ribbons in each region. Seeing her Pokemon beginning to lose some of their battling edge however, she worried that the contests had spoiled them a bit. Returning to participating in Gym Battles, her next stop was the Kanto Region that had been talked about heavily back home.
Obtaining all 8 badges, she decided this time, that she would give the Indigo Plateau Conference a try. Giving her all, she managed to place in the Top 8, reaching a respectable finish. Her final round had seen her lose to a Mega Venasaur. When asking her opponent afterward how they found the Mega Stone and Key Stone, they mentioned the remote region of Orre. Telling her of the vast desert they travelled and eventually came across the items, Aria concluded on heading there to see if anyone in the region would be able to teach her about the strange process.
Upon reaching the Orre Region, those plans quickly changed. The island girl had to learn to adapt to the thugs that overran the towns. Despite it being an experience forced upon her, she loved the excitement of Double Battles that most of the Trainers participated in. She would participate in a few of the Colosseum Challenges, and even gave Mt. Battle a shot. When she eventually returned to Alola, she brought the Double Battle spirit with her, popularizing and getting more people interested in it. Eventually taking a break yet again from battling, when Ethan arrived in Alola, she happened to be working as a tour guide. Seeing something in his eyes she couldn’t ignore, Aria approached him and the two began talking.
Learning a little about him, she realized what it was she had seen in his eyes. It was a similar feeling she had when she was little. Born and raised atop the waters of Pacifidlog Town, Cal from a young age was introduced to coexisting with Water Pokemon. Many of the residents, including himself, would frequently go on dives and fish daily. When he was 7 though, an accident happened, where the diving group he was with managed to anger a school of Huntail. Racing against the Pokemon, Cal wasn’t able to swim fast enough to avoid being caught by one of them. Biting down on his leg, the Huntail dragged him back, and the boy was unable to hold his breath through the pain. People in the group were quick to come to his rescue, but the experience had left several scars. After that, he was too afraid to set foot in water again. Being near the ocean and Water Pokemon, would send him into bouts of PTSD, reliving the moment he nearly drowned. Unable to live without constantly being in fear, his immediate family sent him to stay with his grandmother in Lavaridge Town.
Feeling much more at ease away from the ocean, it took a while to get used to the hot springs and heat of the town, but Cal enjoyed the change of pace. He would no longer have nightmares, and being away from the vast ocean managed to contain his PTSD. He would often spend time sneaking moments as well, where he could watch Flannery take on Gym Challengers with her Fire Pokemon. On his 10th birthday, his grandmother asked Cal if he would be going to Littleroot Town to receive a Pokemon and take on the Hoenn League Challenge. At first, he wanted nothing to do with it. Venturing across Hoenn meant he would one day have to deal with the ocean again. Not wanting to disappoint his grandmother though, he mustered up the courage to attempt the challenge, after putting it off for several weeks.
Arriving at the lab, his delay had resulted in most of the Pokemon already being picked. Cal didn’t mind though, as the remaining Pokemon no one had taken was Torchic. Content with his Fire Pokemon, the pair began their travels together. Developing a fast bond, the boy made sure to keep his Torchic away from water as often as possible. It made it difficult to take on Roxanne, but by finding a Seedot along the way, he was able to get past the first Gym without having to face his fears. As they continued on though, Dewford Town would force him to have to cope. Once Brawley had been taken down, Cal had to cross the ocean to get to Slateport City. Freaking out the whole ride over, he managed to get on the boat, but hopped onto land the first moment he got a chance. This trend would continue across the rest of his adventure, coming to an even bigger head when he had to get to Mossdeep City.
Only capable of taking boats so much, the Trainer was eventually forced to catch a Water Pokemon to use in order to continue the rest of his journey. Unable to do it alone, he had made friends with another boy named Lee. The two set to catch Pokemon off the coast of Lilycove. In their attempt, Lee was swept up by a strong current, forcing Cal to act. Fighting against the memories, he managed to momentarily overcome his fears to save his new friend from drowning. It was the first instance that he would battle against his PTSD. The second came when battling Wallace at the Sootopolis Gym. Failing his first attempt, Cal steeled his will, and challenged them again. Winning the second time around, his fear of water was slowly dissipating. Facing it one more time, he managed to reach Ever Grande City. Having battled his fears, as well as the Gym Leaders, he felt ready to take on anything.
Making it to the Top 8, Cal eventually was knocked out of the Hoenn League Conference. Though he hadn’t won, he was satisfied with having overcome his fears. From there, he decided to travel to Kanto and Johto, in order to experience their waters as well. I would suggest working with others when making characters, so nobody accidentally takes one someone is filling out already.
If we risk losing anyone due to outside circumstances away from Pokecharms (like school, which I know is starting for some of you youngsters), I would suggest having them let someone else auto their character if they are unable to make the fight or we make a quick NPC and just say your character decided not to show up for whatever reason.

Also, I don't have a good idea as to how the other spots will be filled if nobody else after would like to join, and everybody needs to have people that aren't in the same team or event if someone has multiple characters. Would we need NPCs to fill the rest and just add in more characters later if other people want to join, and should we allow people to have the same events due to there being a lot of Partner Double characters that need to be made?

We still have two characters that are from different RPers. My only concern is that the particular battle with those two characters played by different RPers is going to take a longer time because we have to use twice as many posts to get our side of the battle going.
Although, the idea of having a Partner Double Team is amazing, there is quite a bit going on right now with having a bunch of characters and nobody would be able to realistically fill those up. Which is sad. I get where you were trying to get to and I like the idea, but with the rules set in place for that would be difficult for any of those spots to get filled.

Just a heads up, if this RP is still active: Dubkip_Playz attempted to create a sockpuppet for some inexplicable reason, and so their accounts were merged and set read only - which means they aren't relevant to this RP anymore.
If that is the case, then Kalos might have to be filled again if one of those characters was Dubkipz's.

I mean, NPCs are usually extremely quick characters to make. There is usually less depth to them. NPCs could be given to the opponents to control so they can get their battle out in one large post or some semi-large ones to finish it off. Wouldn't be fair for others though, so I guess it would be better to have someone else control them, but that is up to Mango to do, which is a lot of characters. If we reduce the events, would we reduce the Partner Double Team so those 4 characters that are in that event right now can fill the other spots? but that would also mean a repeat in events we'll be playing.
I have a character in Partner Doubles right now in Sinnoh Dreamers, and I have already have a 3v3 and a 1v1 character, as well. There would have to be cuts to some characters or there would have to be some change. Cardboard has a 1v1 character already and that's Ophiuchus, so Melody could be a 3v3 person if he doesn't already have one (but I couldn't find any, so that's good). That would leave me with a copy.
