Your most wanted features for generation 8?

I you were allowed to choose 5 features that Nintendo/Gamefreak would use in generation 8 then what would they be and why? Mine would be:

1- Super training
2- Gym leaders again
3- 2 regions
4- Difficult rival
5- multiple save files

1 - Repeat Gym Challenges
2 - More plot points wrapped up (Lille, True Fate of Giovanni and Cyrus, ect)
3 - Doubles Grass from Black/White, maybe even Horde Grass
4 - HM Moves return, I like Ride Pokemon but I just prefer HMs
5 - Multiple Saves, maybe three or five

And an extra one
MEGA MAGIKARP!
Edit: But seriously, maybe there could be a battle bond feature where certain Pokemon with max happiness could change form, kind of like Mega Evolution but you would have to work for it

1- Absolutely fully customizable trainer clothing. Kinda like how you can make a minecraft skin, but it has to be added from the SD card in your system

2- Visit every region, because every Pokemon game has a spot that really makes you want to be able to leave the region you're currently in

3- Increased level cap, because 100 isn't strong enough to go through 8 whole regions.

4- Nuzlocke/Wedlocke Mode, so there are no Nuzlocke cheaters, where Dupes Clause, Gender Clause, etc can be configured at the very beginning of your adventure.

5- Multiple save files, in case the 3DS system is shared so you dont lose any Pokemon you may have

1. More battle bonds, at least for Kalos starters.
2. Ride pokemon. Made more interesting if they're in your team.
3. Walking with your pokemon outside of their pokeballs.
4. One or two other regions to make pokemon unavailable in the first easier to catch.
5. An alternate playing mode where the battles are harder and your rival has the advantage.

1. Walking with Pokemon (happiness increase and affection in this too)
2. Difficulty settings!
3. More save files.
4. Better trainer customization.. the one in Alola was really lacking and some features you had to complete the game for
5. Rechallenge gym leaders

1: Make the game harder. Make the Exp. Share a post-game obtainable.
2: Not so much hand-holding. Gens 6 and 7 have way too much of it. See item #1.
3: More regional variants. Many Pokes from gens 1 & 2 could use some buffs in the process.
4: People mentioned more save files. I think that would mainly apply to the 3DS line. Remember, the Switch just came out. It would save to the hard drive now. ;) But I do like the idea as well.
5: To simply make a great transition to the Nintendo Switch. A full/proper adventure on your bigscreen would be a system seller and set a good foundation for the future of the franchise.

Yeah. Defintitely a harder mode like in black 2. Rivals are so weak at the moment. I was 10 levels higher than hau at the 3rd battle

Bring back gary and silver!!! lol

Hmm, this one really struck my mind here since there were quite a bit of things that came into my thoughts the moment I looked at this. So well... here are my top five things that I'd really want.

1) Make the battles more different! (I'd say to maybe add like a slight time limit for when you are deciding on what to do for your turn, as not only does that make it more challenging, but it also would create tension and force others to think quicker instead of spending 10 minutes trying to think of what their Pokémon should do.)
2) As some others have said already, I'd say for Generation VIII to seriously cut down on the huge hand-holding... (Pokémon Sun and Moon is a HUGE culprit for this, as it was just so ridiculous seeing the mother giving the Trainer 30,000 dollars right at the START of the game.)
3) Appropriately leveled Rivals. (This goes with partly on the topic of making the game more challenging, as a script could be used to make the rival's Pokémon slightly higher than the Trainer's Pokémon if it's like a post game one for example.)
4) Have an emotional level system for Pokémon Battling. (This goes along with the lines of #1 here, and this would function like a morale system. If the Pokémon's emotional level is higher, then they would be more motivated and do better in battle. However, if the Pokémon's emotional level is very low, then they would be gloomy and do significantly worse in battle.)
5) And finally the best for last, walking with Pokémon out of their Poké Balls! (I cannot stress this enough, the main reason to why I sometimes still play Soulsilver is for the reason of THIS. It is so adorable to be able to walk in your Pokémon in the game, as it brings more excitement and even more friendship between the Trainer and the Pokémon.)

1. More character customisation options, and gender-neutral clothing.
2. Walking Pokémon. I've never actually played HGSS before, so I'd love to experience the walking Pokémon feature for the first time.
Also I wanna have my Virizion follow me, damnit!
3. Ability to travel to other regions. That would be great, and it would mean you'd have more areas to explore and catch new Pokémon.
4. Multiple save files.
5. More lively battles. It'd be awesome if Game Freak made the battles just as action-packed as the anime ones.
6. Ability to re-challenge trainers and Gym Leaders.

I would say a new type
More megas (Cough cough, Luxray and Flygon)
More primals (cough cough, Dialga and Palkia)
More Ash-Greninja (incorparate it into the story maybe?)
and finally, this one is a bit of a stretch but Ash and Serena!!!!!!!!!!

Ash could technically exist in Alola, there is a picture of him in the Mimikyu Trial. If anything, Su/MO's Anime happened long before the games, as the Trial Captains are still in school in the Anime

yeah but the only problem with that is, surely one of the captains would mention him, also I meant as main characters or even playable characters and I don't mean the Serena from the games.

Malgai

Previously Snappy
It's the light type, and i'm thinking possibly pokemon that evolve through a sun stone or shiny stone. It depends what gen your going up to.

And the moves, flash, or any move that relates to light should be changed to light type moves.

1. Challenge Mode avaliable from the beginning: One of my favorite features from B2/W2 was Challenge Mode which added pokemon for Gym Leaders, better AI, and an slight level raise for trainers etc. The only problem was you got it from beating the game...in White 2. The key system was inconsistent and restricted a few players from getting a harder experience. Next gen should have it as just another difficulty setting.

2. Lay off the tutorial: On average, it takes about 40-60 minutes to REALLY start playing Sun and Moon. What ever happened to the game just saying "All right...good luck figuring out how this game works."
Even in Crystal, the guy who asks you if you know how to catch pokemon was optional; you didn't have to wait for a minute for him to do it and have him explain exactly what just happened. I'm against the game showing you how things work unless it's a brand new feature that has never been seen before in the history of everything. I've known how to catch Pokémon before I could catch the flu.

3. Put Drilbur in the Region Dex: Please. It hasn't been avaliable in games since B2/W2. I love Drilbur. Please. Also Darumaka. Excadrill and Darmanitan for life.

This is going to be long. These are mainly things I'd like to see in any future game & I wouldn't expect this all to be able to fit in 1 game lol.
1. Male fairy type specialists (cough cough - Ilima & Mina being switched last minute - cough cough)
2. Fairy type elite-four
3. Gyms that are conceptual with their specialty pokemon, not just based off of their type. Like weather, environment, their abilities or design being the gym concept etc... or specializing in 2 types
4. Normal type specialist that has all pokemon with a different secondary type would be cool
5. Pokemon contests (or something like it) being brought back with more detail & immersiveness. Or the ability to not HAVE to be a pokemon trainer to go through the game, being able to pick your own path a little more. There are a lot of pokemon-paths in the universe other than just battling (although battling still being necessary in game, just not gaining gym badges & elite four if you chose to be a coordinator or something etc..)
6. A less linear & concrete story. More options & choices to how you wanna play the game.
7. A LIITTTLE bit more mature of a tone would be nice. Not with violence or anything, but the simplicity of the games is even a little too simple for even a lot of preteens & older kids. Especially since a GIANT part of pokemon revenue comes from adult/teen fans. It makes the characters feel less like people, with character development being kinda bland & overly childish. It's like your being babied the whole time. (also not playing a 10 year old would be nice. I think the age should be like 16 or so)
8. Ability to BE a gym leader, after the game ends, would be cool. Play with others online at their gyms etc... kinda like secret bases.
9. More unique type combos. Grass/Fire, Dark/Fairy etc... or more pokemon of type combos that are very rare
10. More pokemon based off of animals we've never seen in pokemon, Dolphins, Peacocks, etc...
11. Evolutions (or something new) for some pokemon that are almost useless is battle. Corsola, Delcatty, Dunsparce. (unless they bring something to pokemon where battling isn't the ONLY thing you can do in pokemon. Having your favorite pokemon being mediocre/terrible in battle suuucks)
12. Rideable pokemon that are in your team
13. More customizing options + character customization that isn't gender-locked. Boy clothes & hairstyles are really boring & limited, IMO. I see nothing in my style for boys, ever >__> Let me havvee knee high socks or cute bags pleeeassee
14. Picking a pokemon that can walk with you in 3D. I want to feel more like my pokemon aren't just battle pawns, ya know.
15. Feeling your fame rise throughout the game. More people start knowing who you are etc.. as the game goes on, and the reactions you get are tailored to what you actually have done in the game / your choices.
16. NPC dialogue that isn't limited to like 1 phrase per person. It would be nice to be able to have more personality in random people. Also maybe making it so different people actually look different.
17. The ability to have your own house or area in the game you customize a bit (if not a gym).
18. A region based off of California, or the west coast of the US. Or a region based off of a huge load of mixed things. Different cities in game based off of different places IRL entirely. A region that has different cultures based on different cities/ areas.

I feel like they should bring back features from the Johto games back. Like going to an older region and be able to walk with one of your Pokémon. Multiple saves and difficulty spike is a good idea too. Because honestly I think Gen 4 were the only difficult games in the main series. Lastly if gyms come back, there better be a dark type one (I couldn't really think of a fifth so that's the best I could think of).

I have changed my list.

1. Better development within characters. I'd love someone like Wally or Lillie in Gen 8.
2. Maybe a less controlled story that varies depending on your goal. For example, you travel with people who have the goals you don't have. I think that there could be three options here as for goals that the Professor asks you about in the part where you make your character. 1. Champion 2. Coordinator 3. Complete the Dex.
3. SuMo had more thought-out responses, but I'd love longer and fuller responses that you can decide on that develops your character and gives them a reputation, overall changing the game and how it operates.
4. Obviously, more save files. Either you lose your team forever or spend another 40 bucks to get a new team and play again. They should've done it earlier since the graphics and detail could get a downgrade if this were to happen.
5. NPC's starting to recognize you throughout the progression of the story, or they have a random dialog every 12 hours.
