  • Hey y'all, long time no see. I've been (and am) in a bad place spiritually, but I'm sorry for disappearing. I hope to get back to RP soon.

But on a lighter note, I've watched some good anime and I'd like to recommend SSSS.Dynazenon. It's a Mecha anime with actually interesting characters and honestly those characters and their relationships are way cooler than the action stuff.

Edit: isn't it odd I can type way more in a reply than an actual post?
If you like good fights, read Hajime no Ippo chapters 1295-1307. You won't be disappointed.
I've noticed that high schools in animes look very similar inside and out. For example, Toradora!, Hyouka, Tsuredure Children, and more.
So I watched A Silent Voice. Very good movie but it is a heart wrencher. Sad but also very touching.

I've watched the movie 'up' without crying so this should be a piece of cake, where did you watch this?

Netflix. But this is sad in a different way, one that resonates with me.

But then again, I barely cried, but that doesn't mean it wasn't sad.
Work is cranking up again. It looks like 50 hour weeks will be the norm for at least 5 months, so I'll be on charms less. Just a heads up.
Being back in the gym, seeing the way my Kru pushes me hard and instinctively understands my nuances. I missed this part of training a lot.
This may sound weird but I haven't punched anything full bore in like a month. Gotta find someone willing to hold Thai pads for me soon.

Wow, really wish I could do all of those, I love combat sports.

I don't do it competitively, just do it for the benefit it gives (i.e. building strength, stretching muscles, having fun, etc.) and not all of them are combative. Ko sho ryu kenpo is really just where we derive our three-phase bow from.

Dang all I do is Muay Thai (since Lethwei gyms are hard to come by), wrestling and Krav Maga. I'm training to fight in the ring, but with covid all I can do is brutalize myself every day so I can be in the best shape so I can be.
But anyhow I think it's great you train MMA. Ever since I started combat sports I've found they teach life lessons better than any therapist or academic exercise ever could.
