Welcome back to Pokécharms! We've recently launched a new site and upgraded forums, so there may be a few teething issues as everything settles in. Please see our Relaunch FAQs for more information.
I have to question this. Don't get me wrong, this example is certainly better than the "what not to do" example, but the amount of descriptiveness, especially for a fight scene, may impact it negatively.
This is just my personal experience talking, but effective fight scenes, at least in...
Part 2
Perspective: Richter
“What are you doing here?” I say, asking the obvious question.
“Because mom sent me here,” answers my fourteen-year-old niece, “You saw Eevee, right?”
“Do you need to ask?” I say, “It's the first thing I saw when I opened the door.”
Natalie beams, and says...
Part One
Perspective: Richter
The plains stretch out for miles, with a cool breeze sweeping through the summer heat. The sun is shining brightly, and the sky is blue. This place would be tranquil, if it weren't for the hundreds of creatures occupying the area, playing, fighting, and simply...
Well, back in the day, my team consited of Jolteon, Flareon, Nidoking, Fearow, Seadra, and Sandslash, I loved all of them, and they got the job done (at least until one of my friends used a team consisting entirely of Mewtwos and Alakazams).
Likewise. I'm well-aware of how being 26 and into Pokemon would look to some people, so I usually play the games alone in my apartment. For the Pokewalker, I strap on a pair of ankle weights, clip it on to one of them, and cover it with my pants leg.
Back then, like, back in high school...
Thank you. For the most part, this will be the team I'll go with. It's pretty much to compete with just one particular person anyway. Besides, my teams ALWAYS have Jolteon.
Can't say much for the egg moves, as I don't feel I have to go that far...
I may still go with Staraptor for Flareon. I...
Just throwing something out there, mostly out of curiousity, but for assistance as well, given the following choices, which six Pokemon would YOU use to make a team?
Infernape:
Aerial Ace/Shadow Claw
Flare Blitz
Close Combat
Slack Off
Staraptor:
Aerial Ace
Brave Bird
Close Combat
U-Turn...
1) I was once at a party somewhere and I was invited to play MegaMan 2 (this was back in the NES days).
2) As I said, MegaMan 2.
3) MegaMan, because that's the name I'ved used after all this time...
4) As a whole, I enjoy it. However, I really didn't care for anything from the Battle Network...
Alright, I've done some tweaking to my team, and here's what I plan on the final result being:
Staraptor:
Aerial Ace
Brave Bird
Close Combat
U-turn
Lucario:
Aura Sphere
Psychic
Earthquake
Dragon Pulse
Jolteon:
Thunderbolt
Thunder Wave
Shadow Ball
Dig
Espeon:
Psychic
Morning Sun
Shadow Ball...
Misjudged at such a young age like that? I'd hate to find out what would happen if people found out I still enjoy Pokemon (Age 23, male), albeit not as much as I used to. Still, I have trouble associating with people. Period.
One of my friends used to enjoy Pokemon, but now hates it with every...
Now that you mention that, it DOES feel sort of like a trial for something else. PBR basically came off as something with potential it didn't use, so hopefully we can see that potential in the next 3D Pokemon battle game, if those rumors are correct.
My position on PBR is about the same as Linkachu's: I was into it for a couple days before losing interest, but I don't regret buying it.
I'm not much for graphics, but yeah, they are pretty good. Attacks such as Thunderbolt, Surf, and Flamethrower look pretty awesome, and I gotta give the...
Well, my friend was going to college in New Orleans when Hurricane Katrina hit.
As for storms I've personally been in, once I was out tubing along a river with some friends when there was suddenly a hailstorm (where I live, those kinds of storms only happen once every, like, 7 years...)
Those...
I haven't played over Wi-Fi, but I plan to at some point. I really hadn't considered gender in that regard and I considered restarting as the male trainer, but my team was coming along pretty well and I didn't want all that progress to go to waste.
At any rate, Poke'mon is all about just that...
