Welcome back to Pokécharms! We've recently launched a new site and upgraded forums, so there may be a few teething issues as everything settles in. Please see our Relaunch FAQs for more information.
Sulfur stumbled back, coughing up small bits of water. "Stay strong Sulfur!" Totakeke and Sulfur seemed to have become one, Sulfur's fire burst from his fur brighter then ever. It's Blaze ability taking place. "Quickly, use one more Rocksmash! That'll do it!" Totakeke yelled, and Sulfur seemed...
Keoni nodded and followed behind the Liepard. "So where should we battle?" Keoni asked, the Fire stone in his fur. He looked back at the Liepard, a fire in his eyes.
(Mk.) Sulfur was hit with a blast of water, which caused him to move back a few steps. Once the attack had ended, Sulfur looked back up and shook his fur. (My coin landed on tails.) "Use Rocksmash!" Sulfur remembered Rocksmash, he had been taught it only about a day or two ago. He jumped over to...
"Ok, Sulfur, use headbutt!" Totakeke commanded. Sulfur turned and nodded, he charged directly into the Corsola. (Headbutt has a 30% chance of causing the target to flinch, so flip a coin or something. I dunno. :y)
"Yeah, my friend Sulfur here found it." His Quilava stood in front of Totakeke. "... But I accept your battle offer. Let's battle!" Sulfur stood on his hind legs, fire blazing.
Totakeke threw a Great ball at the irregular Starly and caught it. "... That was easy..." He flinched when he heard a voice around. "Who's there?" He looked around, confused.
"Thanks miss!" He looked at the Fire stone before bringing it closer to examine it properly. Tears pricked the corners of Keoni's eyes, but he wiped them away with a swipe of a claw. "It's finally mine..." Keoni shook his head. "Miss, if you don't mind... May I battle you? I want to test my...
Keoni nodded obediently. He sat down, tail still swishing. Keoni looked around, noting all the details. "Looks nice here." Keoni thought. His paws were trembling in excitement, and he couldn't help but grin.
He followed suit, his paws thumping against the ground excitedly. "I can't believe it! The day has finally come!" Keoni smiled to himself, a warm glow seemed to come from him. "I can finally evolve into the legendary Arcanine!"
Kai leaped out from his hiding place, laughing like the joyful pup he is. "Cool! I won." He hopped around, his tail wagging excitedly behind him. "So, what now?" He hopped up and down in front of the Liepard.
"She's right there!" Keoni layed there frozen, not making a sound. Careful to breathe quietly, Keoni felt relaxed remembering that this Pokemon wouldn't hurt him.
"That was close, too close!" Keoni was spooked. He quickly left the leaf pile and slipped between a few large rocks, being sure to roll around in the stale dirt. He curled himself to make himself less noticeable.
Keoni hid underneath a pile of multi-color leaves, his breathing quieted. He crouched under the pile, his soft belly just barely touching the ground. "She'll come by here sooner or later, I can sense it!" Keoni thought. He stayed still and silent.
"Hmm... Sounds good!" He looked up at the Liepard, a toothy grin spread. "If I lose, that's alright. I can look for it on my own." He stood up and looked around for a nice hiding spot. "I suppose over there would be good..." He thought. "I'll go hide while you count." Keoni bounded off, sniffing...
Keoni nodded, a gleam in his eye. "Yeah. It's every Growlithe's quest once they become strong enough." He relaxed, feeling safe. "A game sounds fun though." His tail wagged.
Keoni gave the Liepard a worried look. "Look miss, I didn't mean to bother you, but..." He looked past her. "I'm looking for a Fire stone. Ever seen one around here?" He asked, his green eyes scanning the Liepard.
The Caterpie was enough to fill his stomach. Keoni got up and checked back on the Caterpie nest, noticing the Liepard coming through the nest. "Now be best to leave..." He snuck around the nest, heading toward the opposite direction.
Kai rushed into the cave, his battle instincts flaring to life. His bright blue eyes seemed to have glowed in the darkness of the cave. He searched through it, his clawed paws knocking over large rocks to see if anything were there. Venturing deeper into the cave, he found some metal and rock...
"See ya later." With a wave of his paw, Kai continued to the cave, hopeful to find what all Growlithes come to look for: The Fire stone. He slowly started to run, and then sprint, the dark cave looming into view.
Kai chuckled. "I see." He stood back up, his black stripes now glowing a radiant red from the fires heat. "I'll be exploring one of the nearby caves." He pointed in a westward direction. "If the others ask, just tell them I'll be back later. I'll be sure to look for a charcoal too. It'll raise...
