A new face in Sinnoh

(This is the character Victor, who goes by V)

V stepped off of the boat onto the docks of Canalave City. Wingulls were flying overhead picking at some leftovers that sailors were dumping off of the boat, a bird that reminded V of a Pidgeot could be seen fishing for some blue fish-like pokemon in the bay, and there were small furry pokemon with buck teeth off on the shore line. He had spent the last two weeks on a boat from the Johto region heading here, to Sinnoh. The food was mediocre, the sailors were always looking to pick fights with him, but in the end it wasn't so bad. His Magikarp had enjoyed being able to swim around off the side of the liner for hours at a time, and at nights his Umbreon could take in the clear, night, sky. His lavender hair waved in the winds as the salty wind made its way into his nose. He wasn't exactly fond of the smell, but he did love what it accompanied. It meant he was on the move.

His father had suggested that he come to a new region to make his mark on the pokemon league, but V had other motivations for coming to Sinnoh. He had already been to Kanto several times, and even made a couple trips to Hoenn. But this was a new region to him. New people, new adventure, and most of all new pokemon. V smiled at the thought of all the new pokemon that he would see here, and the possibility of adding a couple to his team even. He stepped off of the boat to make his way to Pokemon center when a sailor had begun to flag him down.

"Wait! Victor! You forgot something!", yelled a rather large sailor running down the side of the boat. He made his way down the catwalk until he finally made it to V holding his knees half-way bent over trying to catch his breath. "You......forgot......this." said Jerry holding out his hand. Gripped in his pudgy hands was what looked like a watch.

"Thanks, Jerry. My mother would be upset if I forgot the one thing they gave me before coming to this region." V said with a thankful tone. He grabbed the Poketch, and started to put it on his wrist. As he was fitting it on he said to Jerry, "Hey, Jerry."

"Yeah Victor?"

"That. Please, call me V. I know we've known each other since our days back in Goldenrod, but its V." V said smiling.

"Oh yeah, sorry about that." Jerry let out a grin that showed he was really a simple man, but still a good friend of V's. They had grown up in Goldenrod City together before his father's incident with Team Rocket. After V's family moved to the country just outside the city, V and Jerry didn't get to see each other too much, but they still made contact and were able to remain good friends. Jerry stared at V for a second before telling him, "V, you be careful out here. You've never been to Sinnoh, but it's not any safer than any of the other places you've been."

"I appreciate that Jerry. I'll be careful, trust me." V said with a wink. He turned and started to make his way off of the boat before he turned around and said, "Which way to the Pokemon Center?"

Jerry laughed and pointed to the other side of the harbor. "Go north from here and over the drawbridge. It should be a few blocks up on your left."

"Thanks again, pal." With that, V made his way up the side of the piers on his way to the pokemon center. As he walked, he was taking in all the sights. People hustling and bustling to pack up cargo freighters were making jokes as they loaded what looked to be a shippment of Pokeballs heading for Cianwood in the Johto region. Several machoke were lifting boxes as well with blank looks on their faces. V wasn't really fond of Pokemon labor, but it made the world go round. He was aware of that fact and tolerated it to an extent. As he walked by he heard the sailors hastling him about something he couldn't understand.

"Hey, kid!" Yelled a rather large man. This man had to be at least seven feet tall, and had a chest as big around as a barrel. "You look lost! You should have your mommy here to hold your hand so nothing happens to you!" The troupe around him started to chuckle at this comment. V made a concerted effort to ignore them as he walked by. "I'm talking to you kid!" yelled the man. V felt a tug on his shoulder as a man slightly larger than V spun him around. V reached for his belt as he turned facing the man. He was less than impressed with this man. He probally a foot taller than V, covered in body hair, and looked like he hadn't bathed in a year.

"You have a problem with these Machoke carryin' our loads for us?" The sailor belowed. He pulled his britches up and gave V an ill-favored look. He made a step towards V as well as the men nearest to him.

With that V pulled a pokeball off his belt and threw it out in front of him. "Magnemite! Use Flash!" The small, metal, ball-shaped pokemon with magnets on its sides flew out of its ball and set off a near blinding light. V made sure to cover his eyes, as he wasn't about to repeat the same mistake he had made twice before.

The sailors grabbed at their eyes and screamed. One fell to his knees, pulling his hands from his eyes as he tried to use his eyes which wouldn't answer his commands of simple sight.

"Come back, Magnemite!" V held out the ball and recalled Magnemite into it as he went running down the docks. He was running as fast as his legs would take him until he finally made it to the drawbridge. He looked around to make sure the men weren't chasing him as he ducked behind a crate.

"So you enjoying our city?" a rather gruff, yet kind sounding voice said behind V. V spun around as fast as he could to take a look at the man who had snuck up on him. The man wasn't that tall, barely a few inches taller than V, and had fuschia colored hair and beard. "You look like you're running from someone, and from the looks of you it would appear you just got off the boat that came in a little while ago. Did you run into Marl down there?"

"Marl?"

"Rather barrel chested sailor. Has a pair of Machokes he uses to do his work while his boss isn't looking." The man said. "He isn't really fond of foreigners, and even less so of people that aren't keen of the way he treats those pokemon." The man held out his hand with a smile, as if encouraging V to take it. "My name is Byron, and I'm the Gym leader for Canalave City."

V looked at him for a second before taking Byron's hand and pulling himself up. "My name's V. I'm from the Johto region. I just got off the boat when those men were about to attack me."

"Typical of them." Byron sneered. "Although it would seem like you're in one piece so i'll take it you can take care of yourself. Is there anything I can do to help you get settled in to the City?"

V looked around a second and sheepishly said, "I wouldn't mind you walking me to the pokemon center. If only to deter anyone to thinking I'm alone." Byron nodded and turned, motioning for V to follow him.

About ten minutes later they made it across the bridge and Byron pointed to the red roof building with a large "P" over the door. Byron looked V dead in the eyes and said, "Now, V, you make sure to enjoy yourself here in Sinnoh. Not everyone is like Marl."

"You mean people actually bathe?" V said cocking his head slightly to the left smiling ever so coy. With that Byron let out a belly, rumbling laugh and turned to head across the bridge. He waved over his shoulder to V as he walked away and put his hands over the back of his head. V turned away from him and walked into the pokemon center. His first steps into his first Sinnoh adventure had begun, and he felt almost ready to take on the world.

(OOC: Hope you don't mind if I pop in?)

"No bites so far," Violet sighed. Her Super Rod hung over the side of the Canalave Pier, waiting in angst to jump up with a Pokémon attached. Violet shook her head, her brown hair, as soft as silk, blowing in the faint breeze. She was clad in black jeans, with a royal blue denim jacket over a plain white T-shirt. A fiery Pokémon stood next to her, a humanoid species with red and yellow colouration in a flame pattern. It seemed to be growing annoyed, blowing fire out of it's mouth and swishing it's inflamed tail.

"Oh, Magmar, have some patience please. I want to catch myself something from this region whilst I'm here," Violet replied. Magmar turned away, he didn't care what she said. It wouldn't change the fact that he's stood there in the cold for an hour, doing nothing.

"Ahh!" Violet exclaimed, she lurched dangerously as she started reeling her Super Rod. Magmar turned around, and became more excited. He sensed that the action was about to start, as long as it wasn't another Magikarp. A browny yellow blur appeared under the water, with a red centre. The star shaped Pokémon splashed out of the water, and turned to face Violet and her Magmar. It was completely silent, it lacked a way of speech, however the flashing core indicated it's anger.

"Magmar, blind him with your SmokeScreen!"

Magmar inhaled deeply, his chest grew slightly in size. Then the Spitfire Pokémon opened it's mouth, and blew a surprisingly vast volume of smoke at the Star Shape Pokémon.

The Staryu replied with one of it's more unique moves, Rapid Spin. The Water type began spinning crazily, blowing some of the smoke away. It then lowered the highest point of it's body, and used another move. Bubbles were frantically spewed out of the Starfish's arm, like bees flying out of their nest.

"Protect!"

Magmar inhaled again, this time releasing a white flame that formed a shield in front of his body. The Bubblebeam was strong, but the bright fire was meant to be resilient, for Magmars' sake. The Bubbles popped as they touched the flames.

"Good, now lets end this with a ThunderPunch. Use your Hidden Power to help!"

Magmars' fist began crackling with electrical power, becoming more yellow than the red beneath. Then, Magmar launched himself at the Staryu, flying several feet above the ground. His fist slammed into the central core of the Star Shape pokémon, and it became dazed. Electrical power crackled from the Starfish. It was paralyzed. Violet took the opportunity. She grabbed an empty Pokéball from her belt, and increased its' size by pushing the middle button with her thumb. She threw the ball at the Staryu, the red light encapsulating the pokémon. The sphere closed, it's middle button glowing red. It landed on the pier, and the red slowly dissipated.

"Yeah! Good job Magmar!" She hugged her fiery friend, and walked over to pick up her new addition to the team. Her 5' 4'' form contrasted with the sunset as she picked her Star Shape pokémon up, her silver earrings reflecting what was left of the sunlight. She attached Staryu's pokéball to her belt, and considered healing him with his Recover and Natural Cure. However, she was going back to the Pokémon Center to heal Magmar and get back to her room, so she decided not to. She unclipped Magmar's Fast Ball, a custom made pokéball made from a white Berry called an Apricorn, and held it out towards her Spitfire Pokémon.

"Return," she said calmly. Magmar's fiery form turned into a red light as he zoomed back to his spherical home, and the ball clipped shut. She reattached it to her belt, and pulled her purple Pokédex out of her back pocket. As she began walking back to the Pokémon Center, she paid no attention to a pair of men with purple hair in front of her. She was much more interested in Staryu's Pokédex page.

As she walked across Canalave's famous wooden bridge, the sun was setting more, her shadow was getting longer, and she was more and more entrenched in her Pokédex. As the red roof of the Pokémon Center reflected what was left of the sun into Violet's eyes, she put the Pokémon encyclopedia back to it's home in her back pocket and walked into the Pokémon Center. The Nurse was standing by the counter, just like any Pokémon Center.

"Good evening, how may I help you?" The Nurse said cheerfully, though her eyes said she was tired.

"Yes, I'd like you to heal my Staryu and Magmar please," Violet replied, handing over the Pokéball and Apricorn-ball.

"Oh, you're from Johto I take it? I recognize that style of Pokéball," Nurse Joy answered, taking the spheres.

"I am, yeah. The guy who makes those does a good favour for all of us."

"He sure does. Ok, I'll get these to you tomorrow morning. Sleep well!"

Violet walked to the escalator, noticing the Lavender haired man standing in the Foyer. She made a mental note about him, then left for her bedroom.

(OOC: First PRP post! :D)

V stepped into the pokemon center and walked to the front desk. He would never get over how similar all the nurses that work at the pokemon centers actually looked like each other. The lady had her hair pulled back into a french braid, and wasn't wearing the normal nurse's hat they were normally known for. She had a Chansey sitting next to her smiling very content at him. As he walked up the Chansey started to bounce up and down at Nurse Joy yelling, "Chan-sey! Chan-sey!!"

Nurse Joy looked at the Chansey and then looked at him forcing a smile. "Welcome to the Canalave Pokemon Center." the nurse said to him with a yawn. "How can I help you today?"

"I need to get settled in for the night, and I need to let my pokemon get some rest." V reached onto his belt and handed over the four small pokeballs.

"Oh my! Are you two together?" Nurse Joy asked.

"Who? You mean Byron? The guy I walked up with?" V asked in a rather confused tone.

"Oh, no. The young woman who just walked in." Nurse joy exclaimed. "She has pokeballs from Johto as well. Her name is...Violet Ferrero."

V cocked his head to the left, and looked up for a second as if trying to process the name before shrugging his shoulders, looking at Nurse Joy saying, "No the name doesn't really ring a bell to me. She might have come in on the same boat that I did, but I was under the impression that I was the only passenger on the freighter." He made a mental note to try and find this, Violet. It was rather uncommon to run across people from Johto while he was out on his travels and always liked talking with them about home. Even though he had only left home two weeks before, Johto seemed a lifetime away.

He grabbed his Moon Ball and opened it to let his Umbreon out. "How ya feeling buddy?" he said to the Umbreon. It just looked at him with a very content looking expression on its face. He knelt down so that Umbreon could jump onto his shoulders. He stood up looking at Nurse Joy saying, "I'm going to go find a room, and retire for the night."

"Well you're in luck, then, Mr. McKnight. Theres a room up the stairs, second door on the right.'' She said to him with a bow.

V nodded back at her and started to walk up the stairs. He made his way down the hall to his room and opened the door. He walked in setting his backpack on the ground next to the bed. Umbreon jumped off of his shoulders onto the bed, taking a defensive stance at V. "Oh you wanna play huh?" Victor said with a smile. Umbreon dropped into a pounce position and jumped into V's chest, knocking the wind out of him. V tried to keep his footing but couldn't help but fall to the ground with a resounding 'thud'. "Oooff!!" V let out. "That's not fair!" V said with a gasp. "You know it isn't fair when you use your quick attack on me." But V couldn't be mad at Umbreon for even a second. Umbreon just licked his face laying down on his chest. V stood up holding Umbreon and set him on the bed.

"You know what? We should go out onto the docks tonight to watch the moon. What do you think about that?" V said looking at his Umbreon with a smile. Umbreon couldn't help but just jump around the room, pouncing on the walls, skipping off of almost any surface it could find. "Easy there buddy, we'll be going out soon enough. Right now let's see what there is to do in this city."

About an hour later V walked out of the pokemon center with his pokeballs on his belt, deciding he was going to stay on this side of the harbor. As he started to walk out of the center he heard a girl's voice behind him, "Hey wait up!" He turned around and saw a girl walking out of the center behind him. The girl was about five or six inches shorter than he was. She had dark brown hair and green eyes. She wore black jeans and a denim jacket. From the looks of it she was probally close to his age if not a little older. She seemed to have a somewhat inquisitive nature about her, kind of like she was wondering if this guy was something she was looking for.

"I hear you're the other person from Johto staying in the center." She said with a smirk. "My name's Violet."

V looked at her for a second and said what seemed a little reluctantly, "Name's V. And you're right. I'm from Goldenrod City."

Violet looked at him saying, "You okay? You seem like you're expecting a Haunter to jump out at you."

"Sorry. I haven't had too great of a stay here just yet. I'm heading around the port if you wanna hear the story." He said with a smile. He figured she didn't seem that bad, and wouldn't mind the company. With that they started walking down the side of the wharf, while he related the story of the sailor, Marl.

(OOC: Try not to auto me just as much as you did there, but hey, what's written is written. I'll go along with it :))

"Damn, this Marl guy seems like such a barbarian!" Violet said, a little too loudly perhaps. Victor only nodded, he seemed intimidated by him. "I hope Marl isn't not the nocturnal type, but your Umbreon seems like it could take him on by himself anyway." The pair kept walking, passing Canalaves' drawbridge for the second that time today. The full moon was intense, and Umbreon appeared to be loving it. He was bouncing around, savouring the moonlight. The duo stopped at the harbor wall, the full moon high in the cloudless, black sky. They appeared to be a pair of silhouettes against the moonlight; leaning against the wall and looking over the calm, blue ocean.

"Well, I guess it's time for my story," said a tired Violet, "I came to Sinnoh because I'm looking for new species of Pokémon that aren't native to Johto. My first two Pokémon are from Sinnoh, so I thought I'd take them home."

"That sounds like a great idea!" Victor exclaimed.

"That was what I thought. They were getting bored of going to the Brass Tower Ruins and Mount Mortar every other day," Violet smiled. Victor only laughed, so Violet used the time to look at him properly. She hadn't had much of a chance to, he wanted to chat to her so badly. He had only black clothing, with assorted splashes of purple and silver scattered across himself. Maybe he wanted to compare himself to his Umbreon, but who would know.

"OI! Yeah, you Johto scum! Looks like you've got reinforcements this time!"

The shout came from behind them, and as the pair turned around, a hulking great beast of a man filled their field of vision. His chest was nonexistent, it was just a barrel covered in a mat of hair that stank of fish and sweat. His britches were what kept what was left of his trousers up, but Violet was sure his stomach didn't need the help. His head was bald, and his eyes were tired yet alert, and showed signs of extreme hate.

"I assume you're Marl?" questioned Violet, "Well, if you dislike us this much, care for a battle?"

(OOC: If you want to take him on, feel free. Double battle, I'm for that too, and if so I'll use Staryu and, depending how long it goes on, Goldeen.)

"Chasm, hurry up." The voice was quiet, yet stern. The man's dark green jacket was blowing in the slight breeze of Canalave, almost looking like a Super Hero in flight. His cold blue eyes stared at his Kadabra, who had just finished "playing" with a Bidoof.

The Kadabra turned to look at his master, Donovan. Being at least two feet shorter then his six foot master, he hurried to catch up with him. Donovan's neatly cut blonde hair may have been the only part of him that wasn't being blown by the wind, as it was too short. Probably the exact instant it began to ring, Don grabbed his PokeGear out of his pocket. It was brand new, and onyx in color.

"Yes sir?" The only person Donovan used that term to, his boss, was on the other line.

"You're in Canalave, I presume?" This voice wasn't cold, but it had that authoritive tone.

"Yes sir."

"Good. At the Pokemon Center, I will have a Pokemon transported to you, for training and research. Take it, and care for it. It is important in the business plan."

"Understood."

"And Donovan," The man began,

"Yes sir?"

"This isn't some underground mafia, you're allowed to speak in sentances you know." He laughed a bit at his own joke.

"Sorry sir, won't happen again. I thought it was Silph policy to say as little as possible about the project..." Donovan mumbled a bit at the end.

"It is boy, it is. By the end of this project, we should have the Devin Corporation working for us...." Click. The man had hung up.

"So then why am I in Sinnoh..." Don mumbled, possibly to Chasm, who had been floating next to him to listen. In respone, the telepathic creature shrugged it's mustache, as a human would their shoulder. "Oh well, let's go Chasm." Don continued walking towards the drawbridge in the center of Canalave, as the Pokemon Center was on the other side.

"OI! Yeah, you Johto scum!" That's all that Don heard. His entire family was from Johto, naturally, he wouldn't let this sit. He sped up a little, to find out what was going on. Instead of floating or running, Chasm teleported every few feet. At the harbour wall, a posse of sailors and thugs faced two trainers. One had stunning stunning Lavender hair, the other, gorgeous brown hair.

"Very sorry to interupt," He was of course reffering to the two trainers, "But three 'Johto scum' on 7 sounds a bit more fair then two on seven." Only blocks away from the Pokemon Center, Don ignored a direct buisiness order. Some things, like heritage, where slightly more important then a buisiness trip. Chasm had appeared in front Don, as he picked out who the leader of the sailors were. He was a large man, almost barbarian in appearence. He gave sailors everywhere a bad name, just in the way he carried himself.

(OOC: I really applogize for that. This is my first RP post so I'll try and cut back. Also try and use V instead of Victor as often. Victor introduces himself as V)

V looked past the sailors at a Kadabra that had appeared out of thin air, and right behind the Kadabra what looked to be his trainer appeared almost as instantly. "Very sorry to interrupt, but three 'Johto Scum' on seven sounds a bit more fair than two on seven." V took in the situation and smiled. He had been looking for a battle for over a week since he was on the freighter here. To his side was this girl, Violet. If front of him was this tall, blonde man who was willing to help him based off of just where he was from. But in front of him were seven, SEVEN, trainers! The odds seemed pretty stacked against them. All he could do was hope that they didn't all have pokemon. But considering the situation, they were career sailors. They probally weren't that strong. "Bring it on you oaf! If you're half as good of a trainer, as you are ugly then this will be good!"

Marl's face went completely red, his eyes seemed to be on fire. Who was this kid? All he could do was scream at the top of his lungs, "Go,Machoke! With that he pulled a ball out of his pocket on threw it down in front of him. The ball burst out revealing one of the biggest Machoke V had ever seen. The sailors opposite marl each threw out pokeballs of their own. One held a Machop, and the other had a Tentacool. Violet sent out a Staryu, and the blonde man set his Kadabra on the sailor closest to him.

V was ready for this. He was almost shaking with excitement, as was Umbreon. "Umbreon! Quick Attack!"

(OOC: I'll let the next post handle who they want to)

"Chasm, let's do this." Don said. A Tentacool. So easy, it almost hurt to be battling it. "Psychic, it should be enough."

The Kadabra lept into the air, propelled by Psychic energy. With the water blocked by the harbour wall, the Tentacool choice was somewhat odd. At the peak of his jump, Chasm unleashed a ball of Psy energy, directly for the Tentacool. As the ball traveled, it bent the light around it, creating strange affects, as if it were creating mini rainbows along the way.

The Tentacool was hit by the attack, and stood almost no chance. It was flung into the air from the attack, and landed hard on the ground. As the dust around it began to clear, it was still going, but with almost no energy left. Gathering what was possibly the remainder of it's energy, it launched Toxic at Kadabra.

"Let it hit!" Don called. Chasm braced himself, and was hit by the poison blob. The Sailor gave a little cheer, then realized what had happened. Synchronize. The Tentacool had also been poisoned, so Chasm only had to outlast it a little bit. "Recover." Don said quietly. Chasm began to glow a slight orange shade, and then it faded. It stood upright, cured of it's poison.

"Toy with it," Don said, "Double Team." Chasm created multiple copies of himself, who all began dancing around the Tentacool.

"Tentacool use Poi-" It was too late for the sailors Pokemon, it was knocked out by Poison. As he returned the Jellyfish to it's Pokeball, two more sailors walked forward. They both tossed out nearly identical Pokeballs, and out of each, appeared a Machop.

"I almost feel bad about doing this..." Don mumbled. "Do as you wish, Chasm." The Pokemon looked pleased. It loved the few times it got to do what he wanted to.

Chasm and the three copies began teleporting around the two Machop's, with each disappearence, a tiny cloud of dust. Each time one appeared, the Machop would take a swing at it. After hitting the two copies, Chasm stood in front of the two. His eyes began glowing a strange red colour, as he used Kinesis. Stron as they might be, the two Machop were easily distracted by the illusions created in their head. They began throwing punches at nothing, looking like morons in the process.

To finish it off, Chasm finally used Psychic, and launched a wall of energy at the two. They could somewhat sence it's approach, and turned just in time to be hit by the light bending wall. The two were flung back, holding onto each other in desperation. Chasm used Psychic once more, this time to slam the two into the hard cobblestone ground. When the dust cleared, the two lay there, knocked out.

Don smiled, as Kadabra teleported back by his side. "Well then." He decided he would stick around to see how the other battle would turn out.

"Staryu! Lets get those brutes!" Violet shouted, throwing Staryu's Pokéball into the nearby estuary to the ocean. "Use Minimize, then Camouflage!"

The starfish was released in a flash of red energy, and it instantly span around, until it shrunk to about an eighth of it's original size.

"Machop, lets hit that weakling with a Focus Punch!" A sailor shouted.

The final standing Machop placed it's hand in front of it's head, the gutsy Pokémon began focusing it's mind. As he did, his other hand glowed brighter and brigher until it illuminated the whole battlefield along with the Staryu's core.

"Hit it now!" The sailer ordered, thinking he would get a quick win. How wrong was he.

Machop hurtled towards Staryu, running across the beach with it's fist at the ready. But his target had melted into the water, the camouflage taking effect. The Machop was utterly confused.

"Staryu! Use Cosmic Power to boost your Swift!"

The Star-Shape Pokémon acknowledged, and the moonlight shone even brighter. Stars became more prominent, and as they did, stars were launched from the water at a rapid rate of knots. They plunged into the Machop's stomach, and he howled in pain.

'Now to take a leaf out of our friend here's book...' thought Violet.

"Ambush him now! Use Psychic!"

Staryu appeared behind him (the Superpower Pokémon was looking in the wrong place all along, it seemed) and it's core began to glow a vivid purple. A sphere of light bending energy formed around the starfish, slowly enveloping the Fighting type. With Cosmic Power still in effect, the sphere looked fantastically pretty. The stars were refracted and distorted through the sphere, along with Machop's mind. The sphere dissipated, leaving behind a bewildered Machop.

"Do your best to recover with Meditate, Machop, or you're just as weak as the rest of those Johto scum!"

The Superpower Pokémon sat down on the floor, cross legged and closed his eyes. As his master told him, he did his best, but-

"Finish it with Rapid Spin whilst you're close!"

The Machop couldn't take any more, and being hit with a spinning starfish didn't help either. He joined his friends, fainted and unable to battle.

"Now, for that Machoke... I wonder if V can handle it?" thought Violet aloud.

V's Umbreon ducked left and right, and then in the blink of an eye, it jumped through Machoke's guard landing a hit square in its chest. The Machoke reeled for a second before catching it's balance. It looked like it wasn't recently evolved, if not on the brink of evolving one more time. Marl's Machoke stood straight up, flexed it's arms, and charged V's Umbreon.

"Use Dynamic Punch!" Marl screamed at his Machoke. V cringed for a second because he knew that this was an all out attack. Everything Machoke had was going to go into this shot. It clenched its fist into a glowing ball, and charged Umbreon.

V thought for a second before yelling at his Umbreon, "Umbreon, use Confuse Ray!" With that, Umbreon's eyes started to glow a violet color, before a pulsing beam floated out towards the Machoke. The Machoke came at Umbreon in a flash, but it was seeing double. It punched at one of the blurry Umbreons as hard as it could, only to crash its fist into the concrete. It let out a roar proclaiming its pain, gripping its right wrist with an agonizing face. V couldn't help but feel sorry for the Machoke, but bad things could happen if he didn't put it down quick.

Marl was in a rage. His prize Machoke had never been bested and he wasn't about to start now. "Machoke, Foresight!" The Machoke colsed it's eyes for a second trying to get its bearings, before finally stopping the swaying, and giving Umbreon a dead stare. This was it! His Machoke couldn't miss now! He was going to clean up this Umbreon!

V hung his head low. He knew what to do, but didn't want to use it. No! If he didn't stop this now, Umbreon or Machoke were going to be hurt even more. Besides, he was too focused on this, and he didn't know how Violet or the blonde man were doing in their matches. Sure they were rather common pokemon, but still the same he didn't have time to make guesses. With that he yelled, "Umbreon! Use Hidden Power!" Umbreon closed its eyes, and little green balls were floating in a circle around it. There seemed to be hundreds of them. With one quick glance from Umbreon, the balls flew at Machoke. When they got to Machoke they started circling around its head, and all of a sudden flashed greens, purples, and oranges. Machoke grabbed its head and fell backwards onto the street. It was breathing deep, but other than that its eyes were closed, and it wasn't moving.

"No, no, no, no, no!!!" Marl was furious. He never lost. This was his dock, and some kid, a KID, beat him! "Machoke, return!" Marl held out the ball, and a red beam swept up Machoke into its pokeball. "Oh you think this is over? Not by a long shot!"

At least the Machoke was safe for now, but this man wasn't looking like he was ready to stop at a mere pokemon battle. V wasn't certain if Marl was going to send out another pokemon, but at a glance it looked like Violet and the blonde haired man had dispatched their opponents rather quickly. "It looks like your buddies can't keep up. You got three more pokemon in that pocket to take us all on?" V said with a smile. He couldn't believe that in an ordeal like this he was smiling at this walking carpet.

"Fine. But you better hope that you're out of town for good before my Machoke is healed again." With that Marl and his posse trudged off in a rather defeated manner.

"Umbreon, use Moonlight. Just in case." Umbreon stood there staring at the moon. The yellow rings on its legs, tail, and head started to glow. The scratches it had sustained in that fight slowly started to fade until it appeared to be in a pristine condition. He was rather glad that Marl had decided to fight during the night. Otherwise he might have had to rely one of his less-trained pokemon. He made a mental note to change that.

"So, thanks for the help. And you are?" V said to the blonde haired man in the green jacket.

Donovan quickly came back to reality when the violet haired man had asked him who he was. "Donovan, however, you may call me Don. I work for Silph, in the Johto branch. I have a brother, but he preffers being a trainer then actualy work. He's about 7 years younger then me." Don the pulled a buisiness card out of the breastpocket on the shirt beneath his jacket, and handed it to the boy.

"This Kadabra is Chasm. And who might the two of you be?" Don asked with a sly smile. He assumed the two were together. (winkwinknudgenudge)

Chasm had begun staring at the moon, and stars above. His powers always seemed more focused during the night, despite being a Psychic type.

"The name is Victor, but I prefer to go buy V. I'm from just south of Goldenrod City, I used to work at the daycare down in that area. I'm a breeder, that's the reason I'm actually here in Sinnoh. I like to learn everything I can about pokemon, and this region is new to me so I thought I'd see what I can learn, and maybe even catch a couple while I'm here." V ran his hands through his dark, lavender, hair letting out a sigh. He pulled a blue pokeball off of his belt and sighed again, afterwhich he replaced it on his belt. His attention had suddenly shifted to his magikarp. He was only half paying attention as Violet was introducing herself to Don. His magikarp was close to evolving, but he rarely was able to find a chance to get it in that last battle he hoped would put it over the edge. Oh well, the time will come. There's no need to rush it...

Violet stopped talking to Don, and looked at her Pokégear. 2 AM. Not a good time to be up for a tired teenager, but Staryu was loving it.

"Staryu, return." Violet held out Staryu's sphere; The Star-Shape species transformed into a fantastic beam of light which was attracted back into the center of it's Poké Ball, and shut with a snap.

"Well, I'm off now. Nice meeting both of you," Violet said with a yawn.

"Eh, I thought that you two... uh, ah... Never mind. See you around Violet," Don replied with a tone of uncertainty.

As Violet turned back to the Pokémon Centre, and a warm bed, the moon was shining ever brighter. The bridge across Canalave Canal was glowing in the moonlight, like a luminescent Volbeat swarm. It was a pretty sight, and the last thing Violet saw she walked into her abode for the night.

"Good morning, Violet. I heard what happened from passers-by, you got Marl good?" interrogated the Nurse on the night shift.

"Yeah, he'll be back though. Could you heal Staryu for me?"

"Of course, he'll be with you when you wake up. Good night!"

And with that, Violet went upstairs to her room. She opened it with her cardkey, and walked inside. The moon shone in the windows through the semi-transparent curtains, creating a mystical feel. She collapsed onto her bed, and fell into a deep sleep.

A few moments ago, Don had been outside, talking with the two trainers he met. As one had left, however, he noticed the time, and began a mad dash for the Pokemon Center. Since then, a rather worried Don had check in, with an over cheery nightshift nurse, and clambored into the elevator.

Softly, Don pushed the button marked 3, which would take him to the floor he was on. It was on his way up, however, he realized that Chasm was not with him. For a moment, Don paused to think about this, before deciding not to worry about it. With a small bell chime, the elevator doors opened, and Donovan walked out. His room wasn't too far off, so dealing with the ugly carpet and cheap wallpaper would be at a minimal. He walked passed several other doors, before reaching C7. Sliding the card key in the slot, and fumbling to turn on the light, he was suprised to say the least.

The boss had reserved a suite for him.
Beyond the doorway, there was a sitting room, with a couch, two chairs, and a table. Beyond that, Don could see a kitchen, with granite countertops. Walking closer to where the bedroom was, he heard that the T.V. was on. After walking into the bedroom, he first noticed Chasm, sitting on the bed, carelessly kicking his legs. Then, he noticed the bedroom.

The bed was king sized, and the mattress looked as if it were made of plush. The T.V. was HD, and hung on the wall. Sitting at an angle to the balcony window, was an oak desk, and a leather swivel chair. And, out on the balcony, he was given a view of almost all of Canalave. The city was built with mostly small buildings, making the Center one of the biggest, and Don one of the highest up. Chasm quickly teleported himself to the balcony, to continue staring at the moon over the sea.

Walking back into the room, Don saw the package on the nightstand. He quickly unwrapped it, reaveling a Luxury Ball. A Luxury Ball, from the rival corporation of Devon. He sat down on the bed, and he was correct. It was as soft as he thought. A small note was attachted to the exquisite ball. It read,

"Donovan.
This Luxury Ball is a sign, though you probably knew this. Created by Devon, the more known corporation in the world.
And, you of course know we are planning to ultimately buy out said corporation, making Silph the household name.
Inside of this, is the key to making it happen, a Natu. You are to train it, but not let it evolve. If it begins to evolve, startle it to cancel it out.
When you feel you are done, transport it back to us.

~Mr. Silph."

Don smiled, and tucked the ball into the pocket on his jacket, before climbing into bed himself.

Violet and Donovan had made their way into the pokemon center to get some sleep it would seem, but V had been on a boat for weeks and needed to walk around. He decided that he was going to explore the area outside of town a little before finally heading back to the pokemon center.

The woods around the city weren't very sparse. The foliage was very thick and wild. Perfect for a pokemon's habitat. V started crawling through the brush with Umbreon following closely behind him. His face was getting scratched, and his knees were bruising. But this was what V lived for; trudging through the wilds to see pokemon in their natural state. He had just finished knocking a branch out of the way when he found himself looking a pokemon square in the face.

It was a Heracross, and it looked like it was eating, bark? Honey? Moss? V had heard of a pokemon that made honey, and figured the Heracross had found some honey on a tree. At least it was until it had its dinner interrupted. It stared at V for a couple seconds before dropping down into a defensive position. V stood straight up into a branch of thorns, but he figured it was a small price to pay, opposed to being attacked at such close proximity by such a dangerous pokemon.

"Umbreon, return!" V screamed as he held out the Moon Ball at Umbreon. The instant Umbreon became a glowing red color, he use his free hand to reach for a ball on his belt. "Go, Magnemite!" With an underhand toss straight at the Heracross, the ball broke open revealing the tiny pokeman resembling a metal ball with dual horseshoe magnets protruding from its sides.

The Heracross had seen enough, and it lept straight at Magnemite. It barreled into the pokemon shoulder first, putting all of its weight into the Double Edge. Magnemite reeled from the shot, but it only seemed a little phased. "Way to hang in there Magnemite! Now, use Thunder Wave!" Magnemite's magnets began to pulse with electricity before arching out onto Heracross. The Heracross closed it's eyes and threw out its arms in pain. It took a step at Mangemite before its body locked up. "Alright Mangemite, now, use Discharge!" The Magnemite floated above the Heracross and let out all of the electricity it charged up onto the beetle pokemon.

Heracross took the shot and fell to a knee. This was it's territory, it didn't lose! It jumped straight into the air at Magnemite, ignoring all the pain in its body, with its claws glowing a bright white color. Right as it got to Magnemite, it brought its claws onto Magnemite in an X motion. "Aaghh!! Not a Cross Chop!" Right as V said that, his Magnemite fell out of the air onto the ground with a crash. V extended the ball towards the Magnemite. "Come back buddy. You did great." He took one last look at the ball before putting it back on his belt.

This Heracross was strong, and would make a good team member. The bug was still reeling from the electric attacks, so all he needed to do was stall. That's it! He reached for the blue ball on his belt and tossed it nearby the Heracross. "Magikarp! Tackle him!" The orange fish pokemon busted out of the ball and almost seemed to come straight out into a tackle. It hit the bug straight out, and knocked it onto the ground. The Heracross fell to the ground breathing hard. It was out of energy, and was barely able to stay concious. V smiled and pulled a Great Ball out of his bag. As soon as it cleared the bag he threw it straight at the Heracross. The ball bounced off the bug and opened up revealing the inside for a split second. Heracross glowed red for an instant before flashing into the blue ball with red stripes. It shook several times, the red button on the front flashing before it finally calmed down and the light went out.

He did it! He caught the Heracross! But almost as soon as the ball stopped flashing, his Magikarp began to glow completely white. He couldn't believe how close his Magikarp really was to evolving until this moment. The solid white mass began to stretch into a long cylindrical shape, with fins on its back, tail, and cheeks. Its mustache (if you could call it that) grew longer as well. When it had stretched to almost twenty feet long before the glow died down. There hovering over the ground was a long, blue, pokemon. It had evolved into Gyarados! He couldn't believe the luck. Not only did he catch a new pokemon but one of his currents evolved.

"Wow, Gyarados, return!" He held out the lure ball and Gyarados obediantly came back. After that, he walked over and picked up the blue and white ball with red stripes. He streched himself out looking at the moon. At almost that exact moment the ball that held his Umbreon was shaking violently. V grinned and pushed the button to open the ball straight up. Umbreon popped and and instantly began to glow. V had seen Umbreon do this countless times, but as far as he was concerned there wasn't any time of the day that he prefered to nightime with his Umbreon. After about 20 minutes of staring at the stars, V stood up and started walking back to the city. Umbreon hopped up and began to trot along at his side. V looked around as he walked back and noticed other pokemon hanging around at the treelines. It set his mind at ease to know that he would be able to come back any time, and do his studies.

When V finally arrived back at the center he dropped his balls off at the front except for his Umbreon. The nurse was different from the one that had been there earlier and gave him a very peppy look. "I see that you have an extra ball then you are registered for! Been out hunting this late?"

"Yeah, go ahead and add it into my registry; it's a Heracross just so you know. Make sure to take good care of it...it put up a great fight." With that V walked up the stairs to his room, and his Umbreon followed close behind. He walked down the hall to his room and rested his head against the door before pulling out his keys. It had been a long day and night since he had gotten off of the boat and figured he owed himself a little rest before he needed to wake up in just a couple hours.

He pulled his key card out and stuck it into the automated lock. The door flashed green as he turned the handle and opened the door. He set his bag onto the floor and fell straight onto the bed. Umbreon jumped straight up with him and rested itself on his back. Within the next two minutes both were asleep, with dreams of the adventures to come in this new land.

(Hope you don't mind, I'm going to fast forward it to daytime)

The sun soflty slid it's way over Canalave, and into the Pokemon Center, and it's many rooms for rent. Donovan yawned softly as he climbed out of bed. When he looked to the foot of the bed, he saw Chasm, sleeping like he did when he was an Abra. He quickly made his was from the bed into the spacious bathroom. After showering off, Donovan threw on some boxers in the bathroom, and walked back into the bedroom. He slid into a pair of jeans, and a T-shirt. Not everyday had to be treated like a buisiness meeting.

Chasm had since woken up, and helped himself to some berries out of Don's suitcase. He looked onto the nightstand, where all his Pokeballs were. There were three Pokeballs, a Great Ball, and the new Luxury Ball. Don slid all but the Luxury ball into his pocket, and he and Chasm walked down the hall to the elevator.

As they got outside after eating a complimentary breakfast, Don rolled the Luxury ball around in his hands. Something about it, maybe the color, made it feel different. Regardless, he tossed it into the air, releasing the Natu within. Not wanting it to get chipped on the ground, he caught it before it landed. The Natu used Teleport while in the air to land in front of Donovan without getting injured. Chasm didn't feel like being around the Natu, so he Teleported himself back to the room to watch more T.V.

Don pulled out his PokeGear, and used it to run a quick scan on the Natu, revealing the moves it had, it's gender and the like. It had obviously been the result of some expert breeding, it had moves like Faint Attack and Haze.

"Now we just need something to battle huh?" Donovan smiled slightly at the Natu, who replied by pecking his foot. Don was hoping that V or Violet would appear soon, and maybe they could battle.

As the sun came up over the treeline, and into his window, V hopped out of bed and promptly landed on his face. Apparently Umbreon had fallen asleep on his feet, and thus, V's feet had fallen asleep. V let out a small chuckle and rolled over onto his back until the feeling in his feet had come back. He stood up and grabbed for his backpack. The bag was black and purple, a custom job from a tailor in Hoenn. It had a single strap that went across his right shoulder and over his left hip. He reached in and pulled out his toothbrush, and comb. He made his way down the hallway to the restroom so he could freshen up before he left.

After finishing his teeth and hair, V went back to the rest of his equipment and finish packing up for the journey ahead. He double checked to make sure he had everything before heading down to the main counter to get his pokemon. He counted one more time to make sure they were all there. He had his Moon Ball for Umbreon, as well as an Ultra Ball which held his Magnemite, a Lure Ball with his freshly evolved Gyarados, a Nest Ball with his Nuzleaf, and a Great Ball holding the newest member of his team; a Heracross. V recalled Umbreon back into its ball, grabbed a bagel, and made his way outside.

He walked outside, munching on his bagel, when he noticed Don standing outside looking over what looked like a Natu. V walked over to Don and said "Hey that's a nice looking Natu. Have you had it long?"

(Ooc: do you mind having another character?)
Troy gently slid off the Dragonite's back, making sure not to hit the wings. He waved good-bye at it before she took off. Troy inhaled deeply, taking in the salty sea air of Canalave. I'm sure that I'll have a good stay here in Sinnoh, he thought.
He spotted two males chatting over a small Pokemon that stood between them. Ignoring them, he walked off towards the dock, trying to imagine what kinds of Pokemon could live in Sinnoh. Before Troy got too far, he released his Pokemon.
"Renge, Carnage, Viprae. This is going to be our new home." he said to them. The Pokemon in turn looked at him strangely. "Well not here exactly. I'm talking about this whole region, where I'm sure we'll battle some powerful Trainers and Pokemon." "Sneasel!" Viprae said excitedly. Carnage growled something under his breath, most likely due to the fact that he was near water. Renge merely looked around, enjoying the pleasant breeze.
Suddenly, Renge started sniffing the air like crazy; a good Trainer must be near. Troy instantly remembered those two guys talking near the Pokemon Center. Renge ran towards them like lightning, nearly knocking Viprae over, and started barking at them in a challenging manner. Troy ran over there as fast as he could, then said "I'm sorry about my Arcanine, he just gets carried away when he feels like a strong Trainer is nearby."

"Hey, that's a nice looking Natu, have you had it long?" V had suddenyl asked Don.

"Oh uh no, actually, I just got it last night, something to do with my job." He smiled. "Would you mind battling with it?" Don asked V, hopeful to get in Natu's training.

Before V even had time to respond, an Arcanine came running up to the two. It was unusual though, it was an Arcanine, but it didn't remind Don of his brother's.

The man had said something about the Arcanine going crazy when he felt strong trainers nearby. "That's fine, though I don't know who he would be thinking of..." Don sighed. Compared to his younger brother, he wasn't that great of a trainer, he was more of a buisiness man, besides, he was almost thirty.

(OOC: No its fine, go for it =D)

V was taken back a bit from the rather large Arcanine that had found its way to him barking wildly. Shortly behind it was what V assumed was it's trainer.

"Well then. I guess a battle would be fine with me." Don didn't look like he was up for a battle just yet so he decided he should go ahead. "I assume since its out I should send mine out as well." V said with a smile.

V reached onto his belt to his newest pokemon, but took it back thinking that a Bug type versus this trainer's Arcanine wouldn't be a good match. He slid down one more to his lure ball and pulled it off of his belt. "Go, Gyarados!" The ball popped open revealing the large, blue, water serpent. The lure ball came bouncing back to V as he stood there in awe of this Gyarados that was finally his. He had waited four years for the time to finally use his Gyarados and this was it.

V looked at the new trainer and said, "My name's V. I'll give you the honor of the first move."

"My name's V. I'll give you the honor of first move." the other guy said. "I'm Troy. Let's see what we have here. Viprae, battle time!" he yelled at Sneasel. "Viprae, use Double Team!" she stood still, but copies of her flew out in a circle around V's Gyarados. "Now, use Slash!"

So, he wasn't going to go with the Arcanine. That was fine with V. This was really a test battle to see what Gyarados could really do.

Troy's Sneasle had copies of itself in circles around his Gyarados. They seemed to be criss crossing between themselves before Troy yelled, "Use Slash!"

V didn't really know if Gyarados could use it just yet but it couldn't hurt to try. "Gyarados! Use Dragon Dance!"

Without missing a beat, Gyarados started spinning in a circle with blue-ish purple flames coming off of him as it started to rotate faster and faster. Right as the Sneasle came in for the slash, V yelled "Let it hit you, but listen for my command!" Gyarados sat there as the copies of Sneasle came in for the hit, and as soon as the strike landed, V's Gyarados roared out in defiance, while V yelled at it, "Use Wrap so it can't get away from you!" Gyarados was moving rather quickly now and almost as soon as V yelled it, Gyarados had floated around the party of Sneasles until only one was left in its grip.

V made a mental note to remember that he was going to try and get around something like that mean double team in the future.

"Use Wrap so that it can't get away from you!" V had commanded easily. Gyarados had Viprae in its clutches. "Viprae, use Bite!" she sank her fangs into Gyarados, but with no effect.

Troy sighed. He had no idea, until it hit him. "Viprae, Bite the tail!" She looked around for the soft fin, and found the target, clamping down as hard as she could, Gyarados' grip slackening. Th tiny Pokemon barely slid down, landing clumsily. Troy knew there was one move he could use, but he doubted if it would work. Viprae didn't seem to have gotten the hang of it during their practice sessions back home.

Desperate times call for desperate measures, Troy thought. "Use Aerial Ace!" Even as she sped toward the opponent, Troy couldn't help but look away.

The Sneasle had broken his Gyarados' grip and jumped straight into the air. On the descent back to terra firma, it's arms began to glow with a white light and sped straight into Gyarados. Gyarados took the hit and fell to the concrete with the Sneasle firmly on top of him.

V looked on it amazment. The Sneasle had seemed a little off on the jump, but had finished the second part magnificently. The Sneasle was standing on top of Gyarados when a thought came to him. This was going to either end the fight, or end up bad for Gyarados.

"Gyarados, Thrash!"

Gyarados started whipping its tail around, launching the Sneasle into the air. Whilst airborne, Gyarados brought its head up and slammed Sneasle back onto the ground with a resounding 'thud!'

Gyarados' Thrash hit, and it hit hard. Viprae joined the ground like a Trapinch using Dig. "Sneas...?" she gasped in pain. Troy couldn't stand to see it hurt that much. "Viprae...return." he said. A crimson light engulfed her and shot back into the PokeBall.

"I concede defeat. I'd use my other Pokemon, but they can't battle on an empty stomach!" Troy chuckled.

"Gyarados, come on back." V said trying his hardest to hold back a smile of pride. He held his arm out extending Gyarados' Lure Ball out towards it. The thin, red beam shot out to Gyarados, and it returned to its pokeball. His Gyarados had performed even better than he ever could have hoped! He belted the ball and walked over to Troy.

"I hope your Sneasle isn't hurt too bad. Gyarados just recently evolved and still may need to learn how to move around in its rather large form." V put his hand on Troy's shoulder and smiled. "I need to head out pretty soon, but I still have one more battle to participate before that can happen."

With that V turned to Donovan, pulling out a green Nest Ball. "You ready for that battle with Natu Donovan?" V threw the ball out in front of him as it popped open. "Come on Nuzleaf. I know you've waited for this!" As the red sillhouette took form, there stood a Nuzleaf, about two feet tall with a rather excited look on it's face. His Nuzleaf was kind of a loose cannon, always looking for a good battle, and it hadn't had a chance to these last couple weeks.

"If you're up for it Don, I'll let you have the first move." V said with a rather friendly grin on his face.

"Uuuuuuuaaaaaahhh...," Violet yawned, startling her Magnemite who had been let out of it's ball earlier that morning.

"Mag, bzzt, MITE!"

"Good morning Magnemite," Violet said, stretching wildly.

Suddenly, a roar that sounded as loud as the Goldenrod/Saffron train was blasted across Canalave. Violet and Magnemite peeped their heads around the curtains to see a Gyarados just outside.

"Jeez, they sure know where to pick their battle areas..." Violet grumbled. She walked across her room and donned her outfit for the day, the same as she always wore. She unclipped a Fast Ball from the tray sent up from the Nurse, and threw it on the floor. Her Magmar appeared in a flash, and looked as fit as a fiddle. She released the other ball, and Staryu came into view, also looking well.

"Right, complaining time," she grumbled again, as she returned Magmar and Staryu to their respective homes. Magnemite and it's owner left their room, and went downstairs. As they left the Pokémon Center, they were smothered in a massive shadow of the Gyarados. The snakelike Pokémon disappeared back to it's Lure Ball as she stormed out to meet it's trainer. She carefully stepped around a Nuzleaf, and came face to face with said trainer. Victor.

"V!! Seriously, why battle with such a loud pokémon so early in the morning? Think of the people who want their sleep, me included." Violet looked at her Pokégear. 11AM. "Ok, maybe it isn't so early, but still." She turned around to see a male who she didn't know, and nodded at him (OOC: What does Troy look like? :-\).

"Sorry to disturb your battle Don, but I don't like to be roared out of my skin just after I wake up. Carry on." Violet said as she and her Magnemite went to perch on the side of the road, eagerly cheering Donovan and his newly captured Natu in her mind.

(OOC: LOL!!! :D)

Donovan hadn't made any moves yet so he didn't think it would hurt to at least give Violet a proper greeting, especially after he'd apparently woken her up with his battle.

"Good morning, Violet. I hope you slept well." V said with a slight grin and a wink.

She was right though. He had considered asking Troy to move the battle to just outside of town, but was too anxious to give his new Gyarados a chance to get used to its new form.

His Nuzleaf had walked over to the duo and started tugging on his hoodie. V looked down at his Nuzleaf with a smile, which the grass pokemon returned to him in stride. "This is my Nuzleaf, Violet. He's a rather rambunxious sort, and he hasn't had a chance to stretch his limbs in quite a while."

With that V looked at Donovan, "Do you mind moving this battle to just outside of town? It would be safer, if not a little more quiet." He let his gaze lead to Violet at the end of his sentence, and slipped her another wink. "If you're up for it we'll hang out there for a little while before I make my way to Jublife City."

V gave Don and Troy a half bow, turned on his heels and made his way to the edge of town, waiting for Donovan to meet him there, and hopefully Troy and Violet would be there also.

(Ooc: have you played PBR? if so, cool boy a basically. if not, i'll update the bio)
Troy watched as a beautiful girl walked up to V and started chewing him out about waking her up. He wondered whether or not she was a Trainer, but decided yes.

"Hey, I'm Troy Sarutobi. I'm from Johto. I just battled V here and kinda lost, but I mean, it is kinda hard to battle on an empty stomach. Would you know any place around here to get some food?" he asked. Renge and Carnage looked at her hopefully, but trying not to beg. Troy couldn't help but chuckle a little at this.

After waiting for a response, but with none apparantly coming, Troy decided to just walk off, ready to roam in search of food.

"I guess Canalave must be the hotspot for trainers from Johto..." Don mumbled trying to make a joke. The trainer who had just battled, and lost to V explained he was from Johto as well. Violet had aslo seen fit to make he way outside, and complain about all the noise from the battle, even hough it seemed she might've been the last one sleeping in the city.

"Natu, would you be okay battling just outside the city? It'd have trees, I know you like climbing them." Don said, sounding a bit like a parent trying to convince a child to eat something.

"Sure V, I'll meet you out there. Natu, let's teleport there." Don glanced at his right shoulder, and saw Natu focusing his psychic energies. Don felt a quick tug, and then they appeared, just outside the gate to Canalave City. Chasm had felt the rift too, and he appeared a few seconds afterwords. Around them, there were a few trees, a large field, a couple rocks, one big boulder, and some particuraly high grass. Don began planning ways in his head to use each of these to his advantage.

Violet walked all the way to the side of the road, anticipating an intense battle. All she saw was V walking away and Don with a Natu disappear from sight. Magnemite seemed disappointed, his cyclopean eye looking down at the floor.

"C'mon Magnemite, lets follow them. You want to watch just as much as I do right?" she said with a smile.

"Bzzzt... Magne!"

Violet slowly trudged her way out of Canalave into the surrounding forest. Magnemite was floating behind her examining the plants as they went deeper into the undergrowth.

Soon the duo came into a clearing, with a few trees and rocks. A large boulder stood out, along with some particularly tall grass.

Violet waved hi to Don and Victor, who were already there. She perched herself on a rock by the edge of the clearing and watched intently. She was unaware of the rustle behind her.

After eating a rather large breakfast, Troy decided to find those two trainers. Troy headed to the docks, with no one there. The Pokemon Center was next, no one there either. Troy remembered oneof them saying that they would be battling outside of town... in the forest? He decided it would be a great chance to watch them battle and to explore a little bit.

During his small trek, Troy realized how much he hated the forest, and how much it tried to kill him: sending branches flying at his face out of nowhere, causing numerous scratches. Troy peeked between some brush, and noticed that pretty girl, who happened to be watching some spot with great interest. She's also very good looking from the back, he mused.

And then, THUD! Troy had fallen from his hiding spot. CRAP!, he thought, she probably noticed me!

(OOC: Stop being such a perv Shocari, lol :p)

"BZZZT!!" Magnemite zapped, it sounded startled. The pair turned around to see an awkward looking guy on the floor. Twigs and leaves were stuck in his hair, and he did seem to resemble a Tangela. He moaned and grunted, and slowly looked up at her. Violet recognised her as the guy from outside the Pokémon Center who asked her for directions, then ran away. Strange. The name came back to her, Troy.

"...the hell?" Violet questioned, her eyebrow raised. "You know, you can just use the path like a normal human being, but hey, each to their own," she said, shrugging her shoulders as she helped him up.

"V and Don are gonna have a battle, he's trying out his Natu that his boss sent him." Violet said, keeping Troy up to date in as he sat on the grass next to them. Magnemite floated between the two, as carefree and observant as ever. His single eye darting around the landscape, and then focusing back to the ensuing battle. The audience was growing, they hoped the battle's drama would grow in tandem.

V and Don stood opposite each other. The site that Don had selected was actually a rather good site. There was a rather large boulder, probally about 7 foot in diameter, some tall grass, and a couple trees.

V looked at his Nuzleaf and said with a smile, "Go on. I know you're overdue for this one."

The Nuzleaf looked hardly able to hold its excitement. It rushed out into the clearing and jumped on one of the smaller rocks, ready to battle. It jumped up and down looking at the rather small bird ready to battle.

"All right Nuzleaf, dive into the high grass and get ready for it!" V yelled with a grin.

(OOC: @ DON, there's a fake out comin' ;D)

(Name's Cody.....but alas...)

"Natu, Teleport!" Don commanded. V's Nuzleaf leaped up with a Fake-Out right where Natu had been. "Now then, appear behind him and use Peck!"

Natu appeared on the boulder, then vanished once more. In his trace, the shadowy outline of where he once was stood for a moment. He reappered behind Nuzleaf, and his beak was glowing. He reared his head back, and aimed for Nuzleaf.

(OOC; sorry bud :-\)

The Natu had dissapeared and reappeared behind Nuzleaf. It landed on the boulder behind him, beak glowing, and barrelled into Nuzleaf with it. Nuzleaf fell forward into the grass reeling from that shot. It hustled back onto it's feet stumbling as is got up. That peck had done more that V had thought it would, regardless that his Nuzleaf was a grass type.

"Alright Nuzleaf! Faint Attack!"

"Natu, counter with your own Faint Attack!" (He can learn it from breeding) Don commanded.

Both Pokemon had dissapeared, leaving the field empty of battle. Moments later, they collided into each other, hitting each other with Faint Attack. Natu was sent flying back into the trees, where Don told him to stay. "Teleport around him a few times, then use Drill Peck!" He commanded.

V's Nuzleaf fell back from the collision, and lay there on the grass breathing somewhat difficult. There wasn't anything he could do. Nuzleaf didn't know anything to counter the Natu's incoming move.

Natu came out of it's teleport above the Nuzleaf. "Look out above you!" V yelled out, but it was too late. Nuzleaf looked straight up to try and see it, but the Natu came down with the sun at its back. It began spiralling straight down and hit Nuzleaf totally square. Nuzleaf was prone when the Drill Peck hit it, and it crumpled into a ball as Natu came barreling into its chest. Natu went airborne after the hit waiting for Don's command.

V on the other hand had to think fast. This was going to go south fast if he didn't react. "Nuzleaf, Synthesis!" Nuzleaf struggled to its feet. It stood there and the leaves on its head spread out as it took in the sunlight. It began glowing faintly as the bruises started to fade. As it stopped, some bruises were still there, but it was at least able to stand of its own power.

"I concede defeat." V said in a reluctant tone. "Nuzleaf, return." He held out the pokeball and the thin red beam comsumed Nuzleaf as it returned to its pokeball. Anything his Nuzleaf tried to do would be futile against this remakarkable bird. The Natu looked hurt, but not anywhere near close to defeated. V looked at Don and let out a friendly smirk and said "So, you want me to use another one, or you wanna call it here?"

"Woooo! Go Don and Natu!" Violet screamed in happiness, she was so glad that Victor was beaten. He did, after all, wake her up and then some.

She got up off the rock, and ran across the grass covered clearing to the pair, totally forgetting about Troy sat next to her.

"Nuzleaf, return," Victor said, his eyes showing a little sadness as he returned his minute, Gnome-like Pokémon (OOC: They're totally Gnomes, right? :D). The Natu was flying around Don, with a couple of bruises. He perched himself on Don's shoulder whilst the pair decided what they were going to do.

"So, you want me to use another one, or you wanna call it here?" Victor asked, throwing out the possibility of a round two.

"If you don't want to take V on again, Don, I can have a go at taking your Natu on. Magnemite has been raring to go all morning. Haven't you buddy?" Violet said smiling, giving Donovan an alternative.

"BZZT!" Magnemite exclaimed, discharging some of his electrical power into the sky.

The pair of challengers waited in suspense whilst Donovan made his decision.

V belted the pokeball he had in his hands and walked over to the rock where Violet had just gotten up from. "You know what? Go ahead, Violet. I've already had two battles today, and I don't want to over do it." V gave her that playful grin he's been known to give people by know and plopped down on it.

V reached onto his belt and let his Umbreon out of its ball. They weren't in the city anymore so it shouldn't be a big deal anymore. The Umbreon popped out and jumped on V with a playful tackle. V let out a laugh and rolled onto the grass with Umbreon. "Hold on buddy! We're gonna watch a battle! Get settled in!" With that Umbreon crawled up into V's crossed legs and layed down, waiting for the impending battle.
