Trust no one, my friend. Trust no one.
Why would you, anyway?
Sinnoh is bounding with glory. Diamond and Pearl- the two saviors of the region- they had won against team Galactic. People across the expansive region rejoiced in this newfound freedom around them: no more soul shattering experiments upon Pokémon, no more terrorized cities, no more heart stopping glances towards a blackened sky- no more. Such foul emotions had disintegrated the very instant that Pokeball had rattled for the third time; containing the legendary beasts of Time, Space, and Disorder, and brought to the hands of the two saviors. It has almost been five whole years since the Peril at Spear Pillar, but the triumphant people of this region have yet to cease their praise and celebrations for Team Galactic's demise; and the removal of Cyrus, forever.
But celebration and the conquest of evil taunts tainted spirits- challenges wrongdoers to do worse... and succeed. My friend, at this very instant we are all in danger. Are you aware of the danger beneath your innocent feet? Of course you're not. No one is.
To you, my friend, a warning. A warning against VOID.
I suspect that it's a branch of Galactic, remaining from its destruction five years ago. Except this time, I fear their power will grow far beyond what Galactic could have ever achieved. They hired ingenious minds, gathered the intellect to build ludicrous machinery, technology undetectable to the human eye, and have hidden themselves away. VOID, just as their name, has wiped entire species of Pokémon from their habitats, stolen children off the streets both in plain daylight and in the inky cover of night, and worst of all... you must have heard of this...
The Champion was found dead, but the public doesn't know enough about this group to know it was the mark of VOID left imprinted upon the emptied Pokeball strewn around the body. I fear the public won't know until it's too late.
We do not know the true purpose of VOID yet, my friend. But that is where I lay my trust in you. My friend, I implore you, find and defeat VOID. We cannot do it ourselves.
We need someone

Hello hello Pokecharms! I have a roleplay idea- and it's going to be kinda complex so strap in for a long journey here.
The idea is pretty simple. Your character has been invited to Sunnyshore City for the World Renowned Galaxy Festival- a festival created to celebrate the success of the heroes five years earlier. Whether your character was invited to fight in the tournament, perform in a contest, or just for enjoyment is simply up to you. After characters have been established and such, I have devised a little story revolving around VOID. For the sake of readers and players alike, I'll hold off on spilling too much about that plot until we see how the beginning plays out. Hopefully you all can trust me and be willing to participate even without knowing all that much about that subplot!
I totally understand that we're all busy people, so this will be a long project, as I'm shooting for more detailed, intricate posts for this one. No over the top stuff, but still something a little more than two paragraphs.
I'll hopefully see you all around! ♥

This is my own character- I used the setup provided by the PRP OC Bio thread, so you’re free to use that one too if you’d like.
Name: Valerie (Val) Alva
Gender: Female
Hometown: Oreburgh City
Age: 21
Height: 5"7
Weight: 138lbs
Hair: Dark brown, reaching to just beyond her shoulders
Eyes: Grey blue
Clothing:
A black turtleneck with jeans and a black belt. Normally she's in black hiking boots and wearing a tan trench coat that frills around her waist. She wears a small necklace with the long hand of a grandfather clock as the pendent.
Identifying Marks:
She has a long scar on her back and prothetic leg on her right leg after a mining accident in her youth.
Musculature: Athletic
Personality:
In a word, stoic. Valerie finds herself unfazed by most situations, and she does not harbor fear like most people, as if her fight or flight instincts are apathetic to the world around her. Words spoken without meaning shouldn't be spoken at all, and according to Valerie, silence and action speak louder than any mindless banter. She is kind and caring, yet unsympathetic to hardship or turmoil. To most people, she doesn't even exist, and those who know her simply describe her as quiet, reserved, yet incredibly smart and skilled with communicating with Pokémon. Valerie does not have a temper and is extremely patient.
Skills:
Highly talented with Pokémon, and can control them with ease. Valerie is also very skilled in hiking, and knowledge of medicines and sciences. However, her disadvantage lies in her gullibility, clumsiness, and her tendency to lose her belongings. She is very easy to take advantage of, and use for others profits.
Past:
Grew up in Oreburg, working the mines with her twin brother and father, who had immigrated from the Kalos region. Her family's life was fine and well off, until a mining accident resulted in her losing her right leg. Between the initial recovery and rehab, her family struggled to accumulate enough money to live above the poverty line, so she began studying various sciences and medicine in order to be hired at the fossil center. Between her brother's prize money he won from his journey and her meager earnings at the fossil center, Valerie completed her recovery and rehab. As soon as she was done with that, she convinced her parents to let her go on a Pokémon journey, journeying as a traveling apothecary for struggling trainers.
Family: Colette Alva (Grandma), Charles Alva (Father, x), Maria Alva (Mother, x), Varian Alva (Twin), Audrey Alva (Younger sister)
Love Relationships?: Nope
Pokémon:
Species: Pichu
Nickname: Saffron
Gender: Female
Ability: Static
Special Features: Small tufts of fur around her ears, and her body is abnormally small
History/Personality:
Saffron is a joyful, buzzing little Pokémon whose generous heart exceeds the boundaries of her body. She never fails to give people and Pokémon exorbitant amounts of love and gifts, most of those gifts being oddly colored leaves and trinkets she treasures. Her eye is beyond measure, and can spot many things that even a Poochyena couldn't pick out. Due to her size, Saffron was abandoned by her mother when she was just hatched, and taken into a household where the children were too rough with her frail body, and so Valerie took her in to ensure that the Pichu was well cared for.
Species: Chimchar
Nickname: Acai
Gender: Male
Ability: Blaze
Special Features: None to be noted
History/Personality:
Fiery, resilient, and stubborn. Valerie's first Pokémon from her mother; the offspring of her own Infernape. He refuses to listen to Val and much prefers battling over healing, and his destructive behavior causes many problems for the team. He cannot stand Fennel's presence, and will fight with her at any chance he gets. Although he is extremely self willed, he is easily intimidated and manipulated by Valerie, and is the primary reason she has won any badges at all.
Species: Absol
Nickname: Tulsi
Gender: Male
Ability: Pressure
Special Features: He carries a brown bag full of herbs
History/Personality:
Obedient and loyal beyond measure. His chivalrous and protective nature keeps the team together, and he is always making sure Valerie is out of danger. As the disaster Pokémon, he is able to tell where injury has occurred, and guides the team to where they are needed. Tulsi is very strong independently as well, and his connection with Val is so deep that at times they do not even speak to each other. The relationship is much more loving and cooperative than Acai's, and Tulsi wishes to keep it that way.
