Trust no one, my friend. Trust no one.

Why would you, anyway?

Sinnoh is bounding with glory. Diamond and Pearl- the two saviors of the region- they had won against team Galactic. People across the expansive region rejoiced in this newfound freedom around them: no more soul shattering experiments upon Pokémon, no more terrorized cities, no more heart stopping glances towards a blackened sky- no more. Such foul emotions had disintegrated the very instant that Pokeball had rattled for the third time; containing the legendary beasts of Time, Space, and Disorder, and brought to the hands of the two saviors. It has almost been five whole years since the Peril at Spear Pillar, but the triumphant people of this region have yet to cease their praise and celebrations for Team Galactic's demise; and the removal of Cyrus, forever.

But celebration and the conquest of evil taunts tainted spirits- challenges wrongdoers to do worse... and succeed. My friend, at this very instant we are all in danger. Are you aware of the danger beneath your innocent feet? Of course you're not. No one is.

To you, my friend, a warning. A warning against VOID.

I suspect that it's a branch of Galactic, remaining from its destruction five years ago. Except this time, I fear their power will grow far beyond what Galactic could have ever achieved. They hired ingenious minds, gathered the intellect to build ludicrous machinery, technology undetectable to the human eye, and have hidden themselves away. VOID, just as their name, has wiped entire species of Pokémon from their habitats, stolen children off the streets both in plain daylight and in the inky cover of night, and worst of all... you must have heard of this...

The Champion was found dead, but the public doesn't know enough about this group to know it was the mark of VOID left imprinted upon the emptied Pokeball strewn around the body. I fear the public won't know until it's too late.

We do not know the true purpose of VOID yet, my friend. But that is where I lay my trust in you. My friend, I implore you, find and defeat VOID. We cannot do it ourselves.

We need someone

Signed,
Me

Hello hello Pokecharms! I have a roleplay idea- and it's going to be kinda complex so strap in for a long journey here.

The idea is pretty simple. Your character has been invited to Sunnyshore City for the World Renowned Galaxy Festival- a festival created to celebrate the success of the heroes five years earlier. Whether your character was invited to fight in the tournament, perform in a contest, or just for enjoyment is simply up to you. After characters have been established and such, I have devised a little story revolving around VOID. For the sake of readers and players alike, I'll hold off on spilling too much about that plot until we see how the beginning plays out. Hopefully you all can trust me and be willing to participate even without knowing all that much about that subplot!

I totally understand that we're all busy people, so this will be a long project, as I'm shooting for more detailed, intricate posts for this one. No over the top stuff, but still something a little more than two paragraphs.

I'll hopefully see you all around! ♥

This is my own character- I used the setup provided by the PRP OC Bio thread, so you’re free to use that one too if you’d like.
Name: Valerie (Val) Alva

Gender: Female

Hometown: Oreburgh City

Age: 21

Height: 5"7

Weight: 138lbs

Hair: Dark brown, reaching to just beyond her shoulders

Eyes: Grey blue

Clothing:

A black turtleneck with jeans and a black belt. Normally she's in black hiking boots and wearing a tan trench coat that frills around her waist. She wears a small necklace with the long hand of a grandfather clock as the pendent.

Identifying Marks:

She has a long scar on her back and prothetic leg on her right leg after a mining accident in her youth.

Musculature: Athletic

Personality:

In a word, stoic. Valerie finds herself unfazed by most situations, and she does not harbor fear like most people, as if her fight or flight instincts are apathetic to the world around her. Words spoken without meaning shouldn't be spoken at all, and according to Valerie, silence and action speak louder than any mindless banter. She is kind and caring, yet unsympathetic to hardship or turmoil. To most people, she doesn't even exist, and those who know her simply describe her as quiet, reserved, yet incredibly smart and skilled with communicating with Pokémon. Valerie does not have a temper and is extremely patient.

Skills:

Highly talented with Pokémon, and can control them with ease. Valerie is also very skilled in hiking, and knowledge of medicines and sciences. However, her disadvantage lies in her gullibility, clumsiness, and her tendency to lose her belongings. She is very easy to take advantage of, and use for others profits.

Past:

Grew up in Oreburg, working the mines with her twin brother and father, who had immigrated from the Kalos region. Her family's life was fine and well off, until a mining accident resulted in her losing her right leg. Between the initial recovery and rehab, her family struggled to accumulate enough money to live above the poverty line, so she began studying various sciences and medicine in order to be hired at the fossil center. Between her brother's prize money he won from his journey and her meager earnings at the fossil center, Valerie completed her recovery and rehab. As soon as she was done with that, she convinced her parents to let her go on a Pokémon journey, journeying as a traveling apothecary for struggling trainers.

Family: Colette Alva (Grandma), Charles Alva (Father, x), Maria Alva (Mother, x), Varian Alva (Twin), Audrey Alva (Younger sister)

Love Relationships?: Nope

Pokémon:

Species: Pichu

Nickname: Saffron

Gender: Female

Ability: Static

Special Features: Small tufts of fur around her ears, and her body is abnormally small

History/Personality:

Saffron is a joyful, buzzing little Pokémon whose generous heart exceeds the boundaries of her body. She never fails to give people and Pokémon exorbitant amounts of love and gifts, most of those gifts being oddly colored leaves and trinkets she treasures. Her eye is beyond measure, and can spot many things that even a Poochyena couldn't pick out. Due to her size, Saffron was abandoned by her mother when she was just hatched, and taken into a household where the children were too rough with her frail body, and so Valerie took her in to ensure that the Pichu was well cared for.

Species: Chimchar

Nickname: Acai

Gender: Male

Ability: Blaze

Special Features: None to be noted

History/Personality:

Fiery, resilient, and stubborn. Valerie's first Pokémon from her mother; the offspring of her own Infernape. He refuses to listen to Val and much prefers battling over healing, and his destructive behavior causes many problems for the team. He cannot stand Fennel's presence, and will fight with her at any chance he gets. Although he is extremely self willed, he is easily intimidated and manipulated by Valerie, and is the primary reason she has won any badges at all.

Species: Absol

Nickname: Tulsi

Gender: Male

Ability: Pressure

Special Features: He carries a brown bag full of herbs

History/Personality:

Obedient and loyal beyond measure. His chivalrous and protective nature keeps the team together, and he is always making sure Valerie is out of danger. As the disaster Pokémon, he is able to tell where injury has occurred, and guides the team to where they are needed. Tulsi is very strong independently as well, and his connection with Val is so deep that at times they do not even speak to each other. The relationship is much more loving and cooperative than Acai's, and Tulsi wishes to keep it that way.

Name: Ace Ryder

Gender: Male

Hometown: Iron Island

Age: 21

Height: 5"6

Weight: 147 lbs.

Hair: Brown

Eyes: Ace has brown eyes. Ace is nearsighted, so he needs to wear glasses, but he does wear contacts, ones that make his eyes the color red.

Clothing: From bottom to top, Ace wears black boots, blue denim jeans, a blank red t-shirt, with a white hoodie with blue streaks over it, unzipped most of the time. He occasionally wears glasses if he's in a hurry, said glasses have no top rim and the lenses are both supported by the bottom rim.

Personality: Ace tries his best to remain an optimist, but can quickly fall down the pessimistic road. By no means is he a coward, or a downer, but he wants to believe theirs more then one way of handling a problem. At best, Ace can be surprisingly serious when it's his Pokemon, or himself in danger.

Skills: Ace attempts to be a very strategic thinker, taking in type match ups, and status conditions into consideration, but when he's put under stress his thought process becomes fairly distorted and he has trouble focusing. Ace is also pretty great at solitaire, but that's fairly irrelevant. Ace's one weakness would be getting along with newly caught Pokémon, who tend to hate him at first glance.

Past: Ace was born in Canalave City, and at a young age moved with his family to Iron Island. Growing up was relatively simple and normal for Ace, he lived with his parents as farmers for the most part. Iron Island provided a perfect environment for plant life, and they took advantage of it. After an incident involving a Mightyena attacking attacking the Mareep on the farm, Ace had challenged the Mightyena. Ace wasn't even a Pokemon Trainer at the time, but he was able to subdue the Mightyena after hours on end, and many bruises and scrapes. Since then, Ace has requested from his family that he be allowed to become a Pokemon Trainer, and they allowed it rather eagerly. Ace was sent off with the subdued Mightyena who his father would capture for him and a Riolu once belonging to his father.

Family: Blake Ryder (Father), Audrey Ramps (Mother), Chris Ryder (Grandfather).

Species: Riolu

Nickname: Lucky

Gender: Male

Ability: Inner Focus

Hidden Power: Ice

Special Features: N/A

History: Lucky was named Lucky by Ace, not his father. Lucky was previously owned by Ace's father, Burst. His Lucario would've been breed with a ditto, ending with Lucky. The egg hatched around when Ace was 5 years old, giving Ace plenty of time to bond with Lucky, and soon enough his father allowed him to take Lucky with him on his journey.

Personality: Lucky is very energetic compared to Ace, and tends to run ahead, giving Ace a hard time, but nonetheless, Lucky likes Ace and does his best to help him in battles or other occasions.

Species: Mightyena

Nickname: Bruiser

Gender: Male

Ability: Intimidate

Hidden Power: Fighting

Special Features: Bruiser has a scar on his left eye, and Bruiser usually closed his left eye when not in battle.

History: Ace encountered Bruiser when he was attacking his farm's Mareep. Ace and Bruiser then fought for hours on end, unsupervised and Bruiser had bit, scraped, and bruised Ace many times, but Ace was able to put Bruiser down. Since then, Bruiser hasn't attempted to attack the Mareep, but instead herded the sheep upon Ace's request. Bruiser doesn't listen to others, not even Ace's relatives, just Ace, and even Ace has no clue as to why. His father captured Bruiser, and gave him to Ace when he started his journey. It was assumed that his trainer had abandoned it, seeing as Mightyena weren't native to Sinnoh, none the less on an small island on Sinnoh.

Personality: Bruiser, like stated before, only listens to Ace, not his Pokemon, not his relatives, only Ace. Bruiser acts like a trained dog, he follows basic orders, and responds when Ace calls him, but during battle, Bruiser can go Savage and attempt to badly injure other Pokemon, before Ace recalls him. Ace is still trying to get Bruiser to quit his habit.

Species: Luxio

Nickname: Kiara

Gender: Female

Ability: Intimidate

Hidden Power: Ground

Special Features: Kiara is a Shiny

History: After Bruiser attacked a Shinx ferociously, a hoard of more Shinx came along, plotting a unison attack against Bruiser. Bruiser was ultimately taken down, along with many other Shinx. Once Ace had finally gotten to the bottom of it, he spotted a Shiny Shinx among many other Shinx. Ace immediately knew about it's shiny nature and attempted to catch it with Lucky. Lucky was able to take out a few before being taken out himself. But with the help of an premier ball, Ace was able to catch the shiny, but the rest of the Shinx were not happy, and retaliated. Ace was forced to run with his two fainted Pokemon and newly caught Shinx, who he called Kiara.

Personality: Kiara despises Ace deeply, and chooses not to listen to her trainer. She often shocks him with electricity, and often fights with Ace's Pokemon, although she loses to both Lucky and Bruiser multiple times. When she's not with Ace, she's usually a very calm soul, and tends to fix problems fairly easily, she outsmarts both Lucky and Bruiser, making her the smartest member on Ace's team.

I might go ahead and make a bio.

Name: Zack Hastings

Gender: Male

Hometown: Jubilife City.

Age: 22

Hair: Medium scruffy ponytail, Grey (With a few Wine red streaks)

Eyes: Dark Blue

Clothing: Long closed Black jacket with frayed tail that reaches his ankles, Grey baggy pants tucked into Black biker boots and finger less gloves.

Personality: Calm and stoic, yet blunt toward people he doesn't like, but tends to be a 'go with the flow' guy to people he does like, he doesn't like loud noises and loathes losing. He can be very cruel when angry, especially to those who would hurt Pokemon. It may be a bit difficult to try and be his friends, especially after said person beat them in battle, but once he befriends someone, he is nicer and more loyal than he seems.

Skills: Despite being a city boy, Zack is an expert at climbing and parkour, able to run for a long time without fatigue of any kind. Despite his seemingly edgy appearance, he is also good at calming down angered Pokemon.

Past: Born in Jubilife City between his neutral parents. Zack was always the type of kid who would wonder off and look for thrills throughout his childhood, much to his parents' annoyance. When he was given his first Pokemon, he always longed for the chance to get stronger with his partner and this caused him to gain a few people which would become a little gang. One of the people in said gang was a girl by the name of Edna who eventually fell in love with Zack and formed a promising relationship. As the years went by, the gang slowly began to drift apart until only Zack and Edna were left, the pair decided to go on a Pokemon journey together for almost a year and in doing so helped them not only become stronger, but even closer toward each other. Unfortunately, Edna's parents had business in Kalos which Edna was forced to join in on. Now Zack continues his journey and constantly keeps in touch with Edna, awaiting her return.

Family: Jake Hastings (Father), Tina Hastings (Mother), Edna Milton? (Girlfriend)

Pokemon:
Species: Hydreigon

Nickname: Hades

Gender: Male

Ability: Levitate

Hidden Power: Psychic

Special Features: Slightly bigger than normal.

History: Zack's first ever Pokemon gifted to him by his father when it was just an egg. Ever since it hatched, Hades grew alongside Zack as both a friend and a loyal Pokemon partner, winning battle after battle throughout their childhood within Jubilife city. When they went out on their journey, Hades never stopped training and only seemed more ambitious about getting stronger after evolving twice. When Edna left, he knew of Zack's troubles, so he did his best to be there for Zack when he needed it.

Personality: Extremely aggressive to anyone outside of Zack's team or whoever insults or harms Zack. He can't stand losing and would do whatever it takes to win. Despite how much Hades trains in order to get stronger, he mainly does it for Zack's sake in the hopes he would see him smile once more.

Species: Snorlax

Nickname: Slumber

Gender: Male

Ability: Thick Fat

Hidden Power: Ground

Special Features: N/A

Personality: Like typical Snorlaxes, he loves to eat and sleep. However he is loyal to Zack and has gotten used to waking up on Zack's command almost as easily as a Poke flute, he also has an intimidating side which mainly kicks in whenever someone steals his food or harms Zack (or Edna)

Species: Arcanine

Nickname: Mala

Gender: Female

Ability: Flash Fire

Hidden Power: Grass

Special Features: N/A

Personality: Fun loving, hyperactive and easily distracted, Mala was 'evolved early' at the result on accidentally stumbling upon a Fire Stone some time before she was anywhere near mature. She behaves much like a normal puppy would but still listens to Zack without question, but tends to take her loyalty a bit too seriously.

Lemmie know if anything needs changing.

hihithisplotseemssupercool

Name: Maisie Greenwald

Gender: Female

Hometown: Eterna City

Age: 19

Hair: Thick and black, going to her waist. It's often tied into two long braids with white hair ties.

Eyes: Hazy and tired, a dim hue of hazel.

Clothing: A houndstooth-printed blazer paired with a maroon turtleneck and high-waisted blue jeans that cuff at the ankles with a black leather belt. For shoes, wears black combat boots with red laces, and for other accessories, a black felt hat and silver hoops.

Personality: Young, precocious, and eclectic. She likes living her life outside of the box, and sometimes finds it hard for people to take her seriously because she phrases a lot of things she says as a joke. Though, despite everything, she has a big heart and has a strong sense of humanity. She can come off as awkward and intense sometimes, and beats herself up a lot.

Skills: She's a good artist, and likes to draw scenes of nature, or her Pokemon, or other peoples' Pokemon. She's also a mediocre poet, and likes to make them about surreal/dark themes. She also considers herself a fair Pokemon trainer and cook.

Past: She originally grew up in Veilstone City, but moved to Eterna City in her youth because her father wanted to get away from the growing crime with the rise of Team Galactic. She hopes to move back someday, or to somewhere like Hearthome. She was a lonely child, and had trouble making friends, and had little company especially with having no siblings, so she sought to make friends through her Pokemon. Eventually, she grew out of it and she started to masquerade the insecurity with jokes and fashion and anything else she could think of, which is how she came to be now.

Family: Heidi Greenwald (Mother), Alexander Greenwald (Father)

Species: Leafeon
Nickname: Olive
Gender: Female
Ability: Leaf Guard
Special Features: She wears a red bandanna around her neck. She also has a missing fang.
History: Olive was captured for Maisie to give her company as a child after the move, when she was still an Eevee. Naturally, Maisie spent a lot of time with her, and often went in the woods to play with her and draw on the trees, which is where she evolved. They have an honest bond built on unconditional friendship. Maisie likes to draw pictures of her a lot.

Species: Buneary
Nickname: Clementine, or Clem for short
Gender: Female
Ability: Run Away
Special Features: Her fur is less blonde, and slightly more orange, hence her name. It's apparently dyed.
History: Clem is a newer friend of Maisie's. One of her local friends had one, and so she decided to go out and catch one herself because she thought they were cute. It's been nearly a year since she's caught her, but Clem's still rather skittish and finds herself getting into a lot of accidental trouble around her house.

Species: Mismagius
Nickname: Eris
Gender: Female
Ability: Levitate
Special Features: None that should be noted. Sometimes she steals Maisie's necklaces and wears them.
History: Maisie went "ghost-hunting" one day in her early teens and came across Eris, who decided to mess around with her a little. Maisie, being the weird child she was, came to the solution to catch it because she wanted a personal ghost to keep around. She spent the entire night trying to catch it and avoid the teasing. They're very good friends now, but sometimes Eris acts a bit cheeky. Eris also likes to play pranks on Maisie often.

@lady of the sewers Looks lovely! I'm intrigued by both your character and the accompanying Pokémon- looking forward to this!

Five people seems to be a reasonable number to start for me, how does that sound? So, unless we have any protest, I'll begin drafting a first post!

As a PSA to anyone else interested: from here on out, DM me if you're interested in joining! I'll be happy to find you a spot but having too many people would make this hard to manage. Thank you!

Hey guys! The thread is up!

Kinda used a cheesy interaction starter, but y'all I was running out of ideas and realizing that I could literally write a book if I kept going. XD I love worldbuilding
Also I apologize for the lack of detail in some parts, I'm just getting back into the swing of RPs.

I hope you all are as excited as I am!
https://pokecharms.com/threads/a-starless-sky.20260/

OH and I did make a change- the festival is in Hearthome. Sunnyshore wouldn't make as much sense, as it's further from Mount Coronet and then layout of the town is fairly odd.

@Red Gallade take your time, we're in no rush. And it will definitely get much shorter than this, I just have a feeling I accidentally set a very unrealistic standard for length in the first post. So write as little or as much as you'd like- It'll get easier from the first one

Alright, back from work, time to think of a post. Also Espeon, I saw your post and was wondering if I have Zack try to catch the thief or just do something else.

No worries, and I only figured it would make the start a little bit more interesting and have a better way on how our chars meet.

Edit: My post has been edited. (I don't usually edit this much.)

I thought about having Bruiser catch the theif under Ace's command, but I didn't want Ace to sound like the most GENERIC character ever, I don't think he should take the call to action whenever it's needed really. *Shrug*

This took me too long to write. Sorry to keep you waiting!
Name: Peony Dirtshire
Gender: Female
Hometown: Paniola Town, Alola
Age: 19
Hair: Her hair is a dark brown, straight. At shoulder's length.
Eyes: Her eyes are a light shade of green, but are more brown towards the center. They could be described as "greenish-yellow".
Clothing: Peony wears a burgundy jacket with a white undershirt. It's got a floral pattern near the bottom. Her pants are a pair of dark brown cargo pants, and slung over her shoulder is a satchel for holding her Pokemon and supplies.
Personality: Peony is very much a step-forward smiler. And that's not to far off- she's not cynical, but not necessarily optimistic. She just tries to be nice to those she meets, though she does have her limits. And at times she comes off as a bit awkward. Even back in Alola she was a bit of an introvert. She was very interested in...uh..."personal projects", through these she usually got seen as a strange delinquent. She's not so much a delinquent as she is just interested in things she really shouldn't be messing with.
But in Sinnoh? She's a tourist, disconnected from her odd interests and far more into more- appropriate habits. Like collecting gym badges, and the occasional cute Pokemon.
Skills: Aside from average battling skill, Peony has uncanny skills at detecting certain explosive materials- sulfur, aerosol, gunpowder, all that stuff. It's, uh, because of her interests...
Past: Born in a well to do family, one would think that Peony would be on a bit of a tighter leash- it's telling that she was one of a few repeat offenders in her town. Not for anything serious- "Public disruption" mostly. You see, Peony seems like a normal person with normal interests- until it comes to fire. Peony's got a bit of a penchant for it. Not setting them mind you. More like setting off fireworks and attempting to make them for "recreational" use. She means no ill will, but it's an honest problem for not only herself but her family.
These delinquent instances, alongside the combined rise of a gang known as Skull, lead to her parents heavily encouraging her to go on a journey outside of Alola. She bit. She wasn't particularly interested in the Island Trials, not to mention that the League was hardly into it's infancy construction. She never planned on joining with Skull anyways. Just her weird, and dangerous, hobby put a stereotype on her.
She went off to Sinnoh to attempt the gym challenge, alongside two Pokemon she brought from home. Her parents liked this choice, noting it was such a quiet place ever since those incidents five years ago. Of course, maybe staying home would've been a better choice...
Family: Lucas Dirtshire (Father), Rose Dirtshire (Mother)

Species: Salandit
Nickname: Sulfa
Gender: Female
Ability: Corrosion
Hidden Power: Dark (not that it matters- just embellishment on them as characters)
Special Features: There's a small yellow bracelet on one of her front legs. The right "arm" if you will.
History/Personality: The most recent hatch of Lucas' (Peony's father) own Salazzle, it became Peony's after it took a liking to her. A little thief in of herself, Sulfa has a bunch of devious plots and is far more clever than one would think. Not to mention her penchant for shiny things. She's gotten Peony into some trouble before...

Species: Mawile
Nickname: Tolu
Gender: Male
Ability: Sheer Force
Hidden Power: Poison
Special Features: One of his "tassles" on the front of his head has a blue bow tied to it.
History/Personality: A little Pokemon left to fend on their own as a hatchling, it soon found itself rescued by the Aether Foundation, and rehabilitated by Lucas, it took a liking to Peony. But unlike Sulfa, who seemingly just attached herself to Peony, one could say she got more attached to Tolu than he did her. Fancying him as cute, the young Tolu soon was spoiled sweet by Peony, to the point where he got a little bratty about it. He's not one for being out of the spotlight. This, combined with being stronger than he appeared, leads to Tolu being a bit on the rowdy side as well. Thankfully Peony knows how and when to reel him in...most of the time.

Species: Drifloon
Nickname: Nitrit
Gender: Male
Ability: Aftermath
Hidden Power: Water
Special Features: N/A
History/Personality: Nitrit is a new addition to Peony's team, and the only Pokemon she actually caught. Unlike the devious Sulfa or the attention seeking Tolu, Nitrit seems to be a very quiet Pokemon. Too quiet. He doesn't cause trouble, but he's certainly a suspicious fellow, not to mention all the rumors surrounding Drifloon. Peony's not sure if he's hiding a terrible secret or not, but she caught it- because, most importantly, he was pretty cute.

I also DM'd Espeon and got the all clear, if it's alright with everyone here!

Name: Arienne Kyle
Gender: Female
Hometown: Hearthome
Age: 22
Hair: Wavy, dark brown hair that flows down to about her mid-back. She usually wears it up in a high ponytail, but wears it down when competing.
Eyes: Amber
Clothing: She usually wears a pair of worn jeans and a deep violet-colored hoodie, but when competing she wears a slim, ankle-length dress of the same violet color.
Personality: She's not particularly charismatic, having a bold temperament with little care for formalities, and tends to act impulsively. She is enormously competitive and holds herself to high standards, causing her to be unnecessarily hard on herself when she falls short of a goal. She's honest and has a hard time sitting still, so if one can get past her abrasiveness, her energy can be quite contagious.
Skills: While she's not a particularly strong competitive battler, she does have a bit of experience in the area, and she is a passionate Coordinator, able to artfully choreograph performances and use her Pokémon to manipulate their environment. She has a strong bond with her own Pokémon, but others may find her a bit too harsh.
Past: Her mother died when Ari was a child, so she was raised by her father, who found that he was unprepared to raise a daughter by himself. It didn't help that Ari was a troublemaker, but he managed to keep her alive. After hatching her first Pokémon as an egg at fifteen, Arienne decided to try her hand at becoming a normal Pokémon Trainer, but quickly found that she and her Sneasel weren't terribly cut out for fighting. After one of these failed attempts, they met a Coordinator in a Pokémon Center who was, likewise, a chronic failure as a Contest Coordinator and seeking to give away a wilted Budew. After taking the Pokémon off his hands, she decided to give Contests a try, and even though she didn't even place in her first one, she became hooked. She soon enrolled in classes to improve her skills, and found herself competing professionally.
Family: Jeremy Kyle (Alive, Hearthome City), Tricia Kyle (Deceased)

Species: Weavile
Nickname: Trick
Gender: Male
Ability: Pickpocket
Special Features: A small, silver bell tied around his neck with a black ribbon.
History/Personality: Trick was originally owned by a traveling salesman who sold what he called 'mystery eggs.' Arienne, considering a career as a traditional Pokémon Trainer, bought one of them. The Sneasel that hatched turned out to be a quite the mischief-maker; fitting, considering that his Trainer is no angel herself. Those in his vicinity should be warned to watch their wallet; he loves shiny objects.

Species: Roselia
Nickname: Freya
Gender: Female
Ability: Poison Point
Special Features: None
History/Personality: As a Budew, Freya belonged to a Coordinator who tended to sorely lose at every Contest, before blaming it on his Pokémon. The Budew, after weeks of resentment from the trainer, began to wilt, only exacerbating its next Contest loss, and the trainer sought to give it away. They met Ari at the Hearthome Pokémon Center as she was healing up her Sneasel from a failed battle. The two humans talked awhile, and Ari became interested in Contests. She chose to take the Budew off of the trainer's hands, and enrolled in Coordination classes before she became hooked.

Species: Altaria
Nickname: Melody
Gender: Female
Ability: Natural Cure
Special Features: None
History/Personality: Melody is a peacekeeper, especially considering that Trick and Freya don't get along. She's no slouch herself, though; she probably wouldn't be able to stand training under Arienne if she didn't have a strong drive for success. She's a little sensitive, however, and tends to be easily discouraged by failure.

Name: Winston Frazer
Gender: Male
Hometown: Snowpoint City
Age: 21
Appearance: Winston's coal-coloured hair is flat and nearly solid up until the top, where it becomes curly, yet neat at the same time. His eyebrows, arched and his eyes, slightly wider than the average person, with his pupils hazel. His skin tone is a bright peach colour, and he has a pimple located just above his left eyebrow. In terms of height, he's 6'2", and in terms of weight, he's about 191 lbs. He also has a good musculature.
Clothing: Usually, he would wear something that includes a long-sleeved t-shirt, usually with a logo on it, as long as it looks modern, and dark grey trousers. His shoes are either black boots, or peach-coloured converses. Occasionally, he wears a white-with-a-black-stripe beanie.
Personality: Winston definitely has a playful personality, the soul of a child. He likes to run ahead, and burn off energy a lot, so he can be a bit hard to catch up with. As of that, he's usually loud and can easily grab a passerby's attention, when he's with someone. When he's alone, though, he's much different, as he becomes nearly silent. Lastly, he can have a serious side if he's upset.
Skills: He's good to Pokemon, and his energy helps him with them, and he can also look after himself decently, to much surprise. He's nothing special in battle, nor contest.
