Rix recoiled as the electric shock coursed throughout her body, quickly yanking her paw off of the currently electrified pachirisu. She quickly shook off the pain (only somewhat successfully) taking a few more steps back to stay out of range of the initial discharge. "Alright then…" the persian growled, shifting her position and rearing up for another attack. "I was having second thoughts, but-"
"Let her go!"
She was cut off abruptly as the tiny shout registered, followed the glint of a razor shell appearing out of the corner of her eye. Unfortunately, her reflexes weren't fast enough, barely leaving her enough time to communicate a "Wait!" before receiving a heavy-handed scalchop slash to the face.
Rix was pushed sideways, wincing as her ribcage slammed against a nearby tree. She squeezed her eyes shut in an attempt to disperse the pain that was now throbbing against her temples. "Abel!" She shouted, unaware of where her friend actually was. "Little help!"
Abel stopped before his attack could even commence in the first place, quickly scuttling over to Rix. "Still having second thoughts?"
"Yes, now for multiple reasons: morally and physically!" She opened her eyes, attempting once more to shake off the stabbing pain that ran down her cheek. "Can you help out, maybe?" She said through gritted teeth.
Abel looked shell shocked for a moment, before aiming a boomburst in the relative direction of the opposing oshawott. He stood in front of Rix, giving her a moment to recover and attempt to absorb any potential blows towards the two of them.
