Bio template (Eques):
Name: Branko Northstar
Nickname: "Wildbeast", loudly nicknamed as such by a gaggle of tipsy men who attempted to shoot down a fat goose from its midnight perch. Instead of a hearty meal, they ended up with a concussion and such a scare that it indefinitely made them stop poisoning their minds. Somnus is fond of this one.
Age: 20
Gender: Non-Binary (They/Them)
Personality: Branko is... difficult to pinpoint. Partially because they mostly aren't around, preferring to keep to themselves or watch from their cover in the trees. Other than that, they are all adjectives you could use to describe a lone wolf stalking through a wald- Wild, ruthless when one need arises and maybe a little more lonely than a wolf should be. A front of proud indifference, with close-held fury simmering just underneath. There are time times when it seems like they wish to form a connection, especially due to their overwhelming empathy, but those are sporadic at best, and since they fell out of the etiquette of proper human-to-human communication... You get the picture.
They are more in touch with the natural world, both due to their contract and their upbringing. There, they seem most at home, and finding rock formations they can climb is one of the times you can catch a glimpse of their rare true smiles. In their lonely moments, most of all, they simply seem exhausted.
Despite it all, they haven't been part of a group in a long time, and that got to them. Manage to sidestep their avoidance and bear the brunt of their less than stellar temper, and they will soon be a better protector than an actual wolf could ever be. For the few who reach out, Branko will do anything just to help, anything at all...
Appearance: You would not be blamed for thinking that Branko is a vengeful spirit instead of a person, or human at all. Their skin is pale and papery, stretched over their burly, stocky body that still somehow manages to seem bony- not in the sence that they would crumble into ashes upon contact, but that their bones could scrape you if you were to touch them. Their eyes are the most lively part of them all, the unnatural scarlet animalistic in its vigilant gaze. Branko's wispy hair is mane-like, its ends settle upon their shoulders and it has the shade of grey that would make Branko seem much older than they are, if they weren't adorned in the warning feeling of being able to spring into deadly movement upon the slightest provocation. This feeling might lessen if someone would take notice of the almost-loose twin lace braids at the sides, gathered together in the back of their head with a glimmering wedding band, but one doesn't stare at their back for long without feeling that Branko can tell.
They wear standard chainmail armor, but that isn't what catches eyes the most. Upon it, they wear an unorthodox cloak- the wooly white skin of a mountain goat, its head as a hood with horns still intact and faint demonic runes over its body. Its lapels are connected by a short black chain with a round ornament, the deep gashes on it almost completely covering the symbol of a two-headed heron. Branko's whip is most usually coiled across their shoulders, while their picks hang by their hips.
Anima Element: Earth
Weapon: Despite what most expect of them, they prefer to avoid unnecessary deaths when a show of power will do just fine. As such, their preferred weapon is a long bullwhip, made partially from leather and blackberry vines.
With even the weakest jolt of earth power, the vines overgrow with fang-like thorns- while a hit from "non-active" whip is in no way pleasant, especially with the force Branko puts in their hits, the thorns are capable of piercing through the skin and several layers beneath, not doing so gently.
For close combat, they switch to a pair of ice-climbing picks. They can be connected by the whip, but Branko is not yet experienced with fighting with this form instead of against it.
Contract: Somnus, an ancient unicorn born when humans started forming the very first kingdoms.
Backstory: Probably working on it as you read! Sad stuff here. Please, let it not become another beast...
Others: Among others of their specialties, they have a pan flute on them at all times.
Spirit bio
Spirit name: "Somnus". Most unicorns refuse a name but he is quite enthusiastic about having one.
Anima Element: Earth
Species: Unicorn following the old lore, when they were known more for slaying rampaging dragons than sleeping in laps of maidens.
Appearance: Somnus is of olden days, and thus it's given he won't follow the notions of unicorns we know today- but the differences are astounding. His body is not litle by any means, possesing the build of a tall markhor than an arabian horse, evoking nature's grandness instead of peaceful purity. His coat is steely gray, and it's constantly leaving behind a trail of smoke. His underside and legs are onyx black as if he swam through a lake of ink, but it still gives off a faint rainbow shimmer as he moves, glistening like a pearl. On his forehead is a white, star-shaped mark, from which protrudes a black and twisted horn, tall as a blade is long.
His flowing mane and the end of his long, lion-like tail are the purest white one could hope to found find, stretching all the way to the ground, knowing that no force natural or otherwise could ever dirty them.
To mask himself to those unaware of his true nature, he can appear as a fluffy, black draft mule- One with a strange, refined gait and more beauty than a mule should ever possess.
Personality: Somnus could be described as a storyteller, but it's more likely he just adores to hear himself talk and have others to listen. It's strange how he appears more human than Branko does, with his curiosity of every little thing and inability to ever stay truly still. He likes to talk about what he lived through and the world of old, but no one can ever truly be sure if the events he's describing are true or just a product of his imagination, least of all him. Despite all he went through which made him feel the opposite, he is still a unicorn- one that knows little of his own beauty and too much of fear and loneliness, but a unicorn still.
Others: He is especially receptive to undead and soulless, who feel unease around him in return, the lesser going as far as to avoid his path completely.
