Renz was relieved to see that he had backup of a sort. He pulled up in his charge as soon as he saw Sachiko pulled out of the lake by the guy who had rolled up his sleeve earlier, and the girl that the bullies had been picking on standing up to him. Even if she was Faragalian, he still saw her as an ally for the moment. Saichiko’s dragon was free too, so he lowered his shield and glared the bullies. He was still ready to bring it up in defense, but he was no longer on any kind of offensive. That is, no kind of physical offense. Verbal was another matter.
