Metal Sonic
Metal quickly followed his future opponents to the archway, and they were, once again, covered in darkness.

Knowing what came next (how could he not, at this point), Metal beeped out several times, and the archway seemed to understand, and they were all transported to…

A massive, beautiful island in the sky. It was impossible to see what awaited them under the island, but Metal doubted they could leave due to what he had seen from the Host so far. The island was covered in trees but beyond those trees, near the center of the island, was a massive lake with a sunken ship in it. A ways away from the lake was an entrance to a cavern that lead to a massive mine (Death’s map).

Metal and his opponents had all spawned in close proximity to each other in a triangle shape. Both of his enemies seemed to be powerful deities and polar opposites. Perhaps they would attack each other first.

Not wanting to get caught in the crossfire, Metal quickly dashed high into the air, looking down at the two from above, waiting to see what they would do.

Hareta & Specter

As the shadow ball erupted into a plume of dust and smoke, visibility became scarce. During this confusion, the sound of something techno resounded, followed by a spray of bullets. While heavily inaccurate, one of the bullets managed to pierce the ghost, who flinched and wobbled in response, shocked that it was actually hurt.

"...D-Dree...?" It stammered, before breaking out into a full on retreat. "Dreeeeevus!"

It zig zagged in a panic, darting right into it's trainer, knocking him over on his side.

"Woah! Get a hold of yourself, your okay!"

As bullets blinding landed bit by bit around him, he looked about for some kind of tool he could use to pass safely through. That's when he realized: they were in a canyon. The tools were all around them!

.
..
...

"Hey, robo guy!"

Suddenly, something would come bursting through the energy shield. It was Hareta and Misdreavus, the ghost levitating a sizeable Boulder with Psybeam while Hareta pushed it while it was weightless. The Boulder would be thrown into Chief whilst he least expected it from the dense dust cloud!

"Check this out!"

..........

Specter's advance was not disrupted. He walked calmly toward the duck, raising his cutlass up, a black energy emitting from the blade.

"Didn't have to be like this, little one. But you asked for this. It was nice knowing ya."

Suddenly, he flashed forward, almost like a samurai, attempting to slash clean through Psyduck without needing to interfere in Chief's battle.

As the stage took shape, the reaper threw his arms up, switching into a darker version of his robes. He figured that, in this three-way fight, it was only logical to prepare himself.. and to even the odds a bit. Keeping his hands up and a steady eye in the direction his opponents were, dark blue and black energies gathering in his hands which begun splitting up and slowly creating portals consisting of the swirling energies that gathered into them. Soon, the odds would be evened out.. for him. His own scythe spun on standby around him, orbiting its master as a sort of protective shield in case any attacks were launched at him during his summoning. His passive mini-scythes also already begun spawning at random spots around the stage, flying towards either Amaterasu or Metal Sonic at random.

Master Chief

While Spartans were superior to any common soldier, or even elite soldier, in almost every way, ODST's had something that most Spartans didn't, Spartans like Chief, who never customized his own armor beyond standard issue (the recent upgrades by Kalmiya still being considered standard issue in of itself). VISR was a technology that would have easily been able to locate Hareta and Misdreavus through the smoke, outlining their forms in red to signify their hostile status. However, while almost all ODST's came equipped with VISR in their HUD, Spartans didn't. If Spartans had been used as intended, then they surely would have, but their effectiveness on the front lines made VISR an almost pointless addition to an already insanely expensive armor and individual. Only the more unorthodox Spartans, like Black Team, were given the advantage of VISR.

However, John made do with the tools he was given. While Hareta surely mean to surprise him with his boulder, the red dot moving aggressively forward on his radar, despite the spray of bullets, didn't require a genius to deduce the strategy. John calmly lifted back his MA40, sliding out the clip.

"Hey, robo guy!"

117 slapped a fresh clip into his rifle, eyeing the dark form rapidly approaching through the dust that was beginning to settle down already. The next strategy was simple. An FTL pulse from the Gen 3 MJOLNIR power armor was sent to the shield wall. Considering hard light it was made up its structure, it deactivated at the speed of light, the yellow panels vanishing the exact same moment Hareta was about to slam through it.

Judging from the laws of physics, Hareta and Misdreavus may have assumed to put forth more effort to break through the shield before aiming to land a blow on the Spartan, considering the shield wall wasn't made of paper and could take hits from mortar and tank shells without shutting down (though they didn't have this knowledge, as John did), the Spartan was using the removal of the barrier to potentially disorient them for a moment, and when they intended to land their hit on the Spartan with accumulated momentum, Hareta pushing the boulder before launching it? John's thrusters would pulse, and as he seemed to vanish in thin air (his active camouflage engaging in tandem with his thrusters), the Spartan would be thrust to the side, leaving the boulder to be headed directly for Psyduck, who was still dangerously close to where the Spartan had been a moment ago, only about 2 and a half feet apart---enough coverage for the boulder to potentially strike Psyduck, or even Specter should the ape not be aware enough.

DUCK!
Psyduck was a bit more unnerved as Specter went in for the melee. Even more so when the blade was covered in a black energy, but he swallowed his unease and put up his dukes. Then, he ran towards the ape, aiming to slug his foe in the face, when Specter clapped forward with an attack of his own before The Duck could react. Contrary to Psyduck's plan, this sent him under the boulder's path, and left Specter in the way of the big rock.
The Duck Pokémon was having a tough time as he smacked into a rock, he couldn't find his breath as he desperately sought to draw one in, and a line of feathers slick with blood was Psyduck's souvenir from the attack. Terror was in his eyes- was he gonna die? After making it that far, he was done in that quick?
After Psyduck's overdramatic thoughts came in, he was finally able to breathe again, which he did so heavily. Shakily yet surely he returned to his feet, the fear in his eyes struggling to be masked again. He assumed a wide stance and prepared for another engagement-

And then he turned around and vomited behind a rock.

After that was done, The Duck composed himself and readied on the defensive.

"Huaaah!"

The Boulder went forward much faster than they had figured, expecting much more of a resistance from the shield. The Boulder crashed down inside of it's former position, slinging into where Chief once was. Silence followed as they caught their breathes, looking down at the smash sight.

"..."

"..."

"Should we like...check if we squished him?" The boy scratched his cheek, unaware of the Spartan's capabilities.

Specter

The bipedal emperor stepped every closer to Psyduck, and as the boulder came, he grunted and leaped into the air, psychic energy propelling him, before he landed down to earth near the ill felt duck.

"Why are you fleeing? You wanted this. Now come and receive it."

He raised his blade to the side, wanting this to be over with. That's when he swiped with his blade, slashing quickly across the rock and presumingly Psyduck. After a delayed few seconds, a massive gash appeared in the rock, as it was shown it was cleaved right through the middle. The top of the rock slid before falling over to the ground. Now, would the same fate befall Psyduck?

Da Duck
Specter approached again, raised his sword for a moment, and in that moment, Psyduck swung his own arm. The swing was a fling, flinging sand in fact, which he picked up during his intimacy with the ground just seconds prior. The Duck's distraction had been inspired by Sand Attack, a move that he'd been on the receiving end all too often when he was back home.
With that, he hopped backwards, out of the swords range as Specter was (hopefully) caught off guard by the fistful of sand. His eyes then flashed white to Disable the use of his sword, and, to pile on the hurt, a stream of pressurized water jetted from his bill.

Before Hareta was able to conclude his verbal thought, a shimmer of light was what signified the Chief's hand grasping the back of the boy's head. In the same movement, 117 was slamming down, attempting to drive the kid's skull into the ground with extreme force, the active camouflage dissipating from the Spartan, who prepped a device on his opposite wrist in preparation for countermeasures against his hostilities.

Within seconds, Hareta's face met ground, the boy flattening with the momentum as they were layed out. Misdreavus eeped out in surprise, turning to face Cheif. She then angrily pursed her lips before the red necklace she wore began to glow.

"Dreeee!"

A flurry of shining projectiles flew out, glittering as they began to pelt all about Chief, trails of white energy following behind them. This was power gem, a rapid firing attack that was good at suppressing foes.

Meanwhile, Hareta groaned, his vision beginning to recover from the blackness. He came to looking at the ground, blood dripping from his head. Did I crack something? That Chief guy did pack a heck of a wallop...oomph..

Specter

Raising a mere finger and freezing the bits of sand in midair, he cast it aside with a flick of his fingers, shaking his head.

"And now you toil in the dirt...is this really how you want your last moments-"

Bzzzzwwwoo...

"Hm...?"

His obsidian tinted cutlass suddenly deactivated against his wishes, the overlord eyeing it, not expecting that at all. While he was busy analyzing what went wrong, Psyduck fire off a water stream. Specter raised up an arm to defend himself with psychic energy when the water hit, rocking him with a strong concussive force, enough to send the blade flying out of his hand and imbedding itself in the ground behind him.

"Tch..."

Wet and irritated, Specter raised in the air a few inches. Then he flicked his hand across his hair, and in a blink of an eye, all the water had been forced off his soaked clothes, turning into but dewdrops floating in the air. After a second, all the droplets fell to the ground as a now dry Specter eyed his foe.

"Not bad...Not bad. Crafty. But it won't be enough!"

Specter then was enveloped in psychic energy, charging up before blasting off right toward Psyduck. He would aim to crash directly on him, a psychic explosion following that would leave a crater where it once stood.

The crafty Pokemon followed the icicles soon after, catching the sight of Rebellio and his mega-gun quickly.

However...
With every cover Weavile hid behind, two Weavile left, with the extras all hiding in their own places soon after. Soon enough, many Weavile littered the arena, though few were visible behind their cover

Amaterasu
The sun goddess looked around her, taking in her surroundings. The blue one kept a distance, seemingly to let them duke it own alone.
Hmph.
Death however, was already active, spawning waves of small scythes around the arena. There were many, deflecting them all would be a waste of ink. So, Amaterasu drew three small lines.
Wind began to pick up around her, turning into a powerful tornado that picked up the scythes, spinning them around and up before leaving the vortex, raining down on Metal and Death below.

Master Chief

It fell into play almost exactly as the Spartan had been anticipating. The only difference was the choice of attack led by Misdreavus, as Chief had been expecting another shadow ball, or something of the likes. Instead, these were beams of what seemed to be condensed light particles. 117 raised his left forearm, activating his repulsor, as planned.

The first couple of power gems landed, knocking into the Spartan's shields, which absorbed the blows as their integrity decreased, but the repulsor let loose a burst of energy. A boom resounded as the air seemed to ripple and shimmer from the kinetic blast (not unlike a force push with more punch), and a plethora of the power gems were launched back, if not counteracting new ones being fired, were sent hurtling back at Misdreavus.

At the same time John did this, he'd conjured his Sidekick, aiming down at the dazed boy, and firing off three shots aimed for the head, intent on concluding this match rapidly now.

Weavile was being sneaky as always, making new clones each time she dove into cover, a bunch of Pokémon soon hiding behind the rubble. It was clear the Gatling wouldn't be effective here given all the cover and the number of foes he'd likely have to shoot down. He'd have to get rid of it quickly first.

The Gat disassembled back into numerous crimson strings, one end of them attached to Rebellio's hand. The threads all shot out in unison, striking every bit of debris Weavile attempted to hide behind, when the Falcon yanked with surprising power--- and all of the debris was lifted into the air.

Then, just as quickly as they'd risen, the chunks of stone and ice were smashed back down into the ground, sending sharp bits of them flying everywhere, clearly aiming to wipe out all of the copies at once, as well as trying to deal damage to the real Weavile. The thread returned to Rebellio once the debris broke apart, the Falcon soon reconstructing his Gatling gun and going right back to shooting Weaviles down--- if there were any copies left, of course.

Reinvigorated by a swell of confidence, Psyduck saw it fit to challenge Specter's next attack. His own cranium was enveloped in psychic energy, and The Duck leapt at Specter as the monkey dove down...

The ensuing explosion sent Psyduck flying. His psychic helmet took the initial brunt. Though it still hurt, sending him skidding through the sandy dirt.
The fowl got up yet another time, looking pretty rough. Specter wanted to pull out an explode-y psychic move? Well The Duck had to show him how it's done. So he picked up a small rock, and smacked it against his head.
He did so several times, an attempt to get his head pain to peak, which he knew by now to be the cause of his ultimate attack. The pain now unbearable, he tossed down the rock and fell over. Psyduck screamed, and his psychic sparks started up once again.

And then they sputtered out. There went that plan. However, the little yellow football of determination wasn't ready to give up. Not now, not ever. Not against a weird green square monster, not against a squad of monkeys, not against a human with a bunch of boom sticks, not against a Machamp, and certainly not this psychic space monkey. So The Duck grit his bill and got up, maybe for the final time. He made a beeline towards the side of Master Chief and Hareta, the same side from which Misdreavus was attacking.
Then, he whirled around and gave his psychic foe a good ol' Hydro Pump.

Zen Headbutt softened his damage he dealt, but the move in itself wasn't enough to stop Specter's attack, as Psyduck was sent flying. Specter, with residual energy crackling around him, stood up and approached the called duck.

"As much as I've underestimate that initial power you boast, it ends here, yellow one."

Crack!

That's when Psyduck began to hit himself in the head with a rock...repeatedly. Specter wasn't sure what it was trying to do. But in any case, he put up his hands defensively, psychic energy emitting from his palms as he stood prepared for anything.

...Then nothing came. Nothing but a dud. Specter shook his head at this, Unsure of what was to be accomplished. In any case, he knew Psyduck would attempt to run under Chief's skirt one more, so he wouldn't allow that.

"How's this then?"

He thrust his arms out, a sphere of energy surrounding him like a shield. Now protected, he brought his hands together, conjuring a thin cyan cutting beam. While thin, it was fast and extremely deadly. So as the water crashed against his barrier, he shot off the laser in between Chief and Psyduck before quickly flicking it in Psyduck's direction to bisect the creature in one swoop.

Hareta

"...Dree??"

The ghost was suddenly blown back to their master when several power gem strikes had hit the less than sturdy ghost. Wincing as it was on the ground with Hareta, she knew she had to do something, or else Master Chief might finish them both off.

"DreeeeeeeeEEEEEeeeee...!"

It's hair like extension waved in the air as it's body and eyes rippled like waves. And suddenly...

click

The gun had ran out of ammo. This was Spite, a move meant to remove the capacity to use attacks! Hareta grinned, his eyes hidden as blood trickled down his face.

"Ya like those toys of yours..."

That's when Hareta rushed forward, stopping inches before the golden visor his foe wore.

"Don't mind if I use one or two, right?"

Hareta reached on Chief's person, attempting to grab is MA40. If he successfully snatched it, he would point it at the visor, popping Chief right in between the eyes, or at least that's what he figured.

With that little manuever, he made it to Chief's side, between he and Specter and consequently partially between he and Misdreavus. Then, he let loose a barrage of Hydro Pumps towards Specter, satisfied with just battering the psychic shield until he thought of something better to do.

Clicks resounded. According to the Spartan's HUD, the remainder of his clip had quite suddenly expired.

"That's one of Misdreavus' moves, Chief. I'm not... entirely certain how it works, but it can evidently remove some ammo from your inventory." Kalmiya stated as the Spartan tucked it back to his thigh as Hareta marched up with a remark on toys, getting into the Spartan's visor, his arms clearly reaching for the MA40 on 117's back---but when Hareta tugged, nothing happened.

The rifle was snuggly fashioned by a powerful magnet to the Spartan's back, only capable of being released upon a signal from his suit when he would reach back to retrieve it. Not only did such precautions keep a handy weapon on standby, it also prevented enemy combatants from capitalizing on what appeared to be an exposed weapon, such as this exact scenario right now.

"It's not for playing," Chief answered Hareta simply, his energy shields overloading, releasing a shocking voltage against Hareta to stun him during his movement. In the time it took Hareta to perform this attempt, John had already set the Sidekick against his thigh (it too attaching magnetically), and as Hareta made his first unsuccessful tug, 117's head snapped forward like a bullet of its own, intending on pounding directly into the kid's face while he was momentarily confused as to why he couldn't retrieve the weapon with ease. Following this, the Spartan would immediately thrust a fist outward, intending on planting it directly into a potentially stunned boy, possibly cracking his sternum, while at the same time leaving a gift: a plasma grenade that would hermetically seal itself to Hareta.

The type-1 plasma grenade would attach to most surfaces, but especially to organics, and when it did attach, it was next to impossible to remove.

The ape was not going to end his assault there. He flew through the air, the psychic barrier he was in taking a hydro pump, buckling slightly as he swerved past another. That's when he flicked his hand for the right, raising it as he curled his fingers.

Suddenly, lots of coal from the conveyor belt floated high up into the air, rotating so their sharpest ends faces Psyduck.

"This is the end of the line for you. Ciao~"

That's when a bombardment of coal pelted the zone, firing down fierce sharp projectiles. Psyduck would soon be stoned to death by hundreds of sharp rocks.

Chief's fist was caught inside Hareta's mouth. His hand not able to open to plan his grenade due to the sudden biting force imparted on the ligament.

"Mfffm maa!" (Got Ya) The boy muffled with a mouth full of Spartan.

At the same time, Misdreavus projected a Psybeam on Chief's second arm, trying to freeze it in place while Hareta devised his plan. He tossed something from behind him: An Escape Rope, wrapping it around Chief's neck. In a swift motion, he's plummet, spitting out Chief's hand while swinging on the rope. If successful, he'd slide right between the Spartan's legs and force the bigger target onto the ground. Then he'd just have to hold his grip on the rope, hold pressure and keep it that way.

Specter psychically lifted some nearby chunks of coal, obviously for no less than nefarious intentions. Psyduck prepared a Hydro Pump in the back of his bill, and when the coal came, he went. Spewing water at the ground, the recoil sent him into a backflip over the Master Chief, and he landed as Hareta's Escape Rope saw sunlight. Then, a Surf erupted beneath him, and he made a wide arc in front of Chief, headed for Specter. The Duck strained heighten and speed up the wave as much as he could manage, and hopped off, Zen Headbutt charged-
He was a little short, and sailed beneath the psionic shield. His fall was cushioned by the remnants of Surf.

Suddenly, from a small and short flash of light behind Snake, Axe dropped to the ground with a grunt, landing on his back with a thud as he began to get up, shaking his head with his flashy red hair following his shaking, bringing himself to his feet.
"Urgh...I should've guessed that was a trap...not bad." He let out a small scowl towards Snake, though with a somewhat childlike tone to him with the compliment. "Now give that back!" No Weavile in sight. This thing was real slippery...

The rumbling of stone behind Rebellio alerted him of an incoming attack, the Falcon's halo extending down in the blink of an eye, transforming his body into thread, making him vanish. The weapon he held burst into a bunch of harmless crimson thread--- or so it seemed, as it would converge on Weavile's position the moment she burst from the wall, the deceptively durable string aiming to capture her.

Should the Adept's plan succeed, Rebellio would reappear just above the Pokémon, scythe materializing in his hand to perform a quick yet powerful slash. If it failed, the Falcon would reappear a ways from Weavile, crafting a pistol before trying to get a few pot shots in.

The Falcon's pistol disassembled into string as the debris approached, Rebellio launching it upward similarly to a grappling hook, the crimson thread striking a large, falling rock in the middle of the deadly rain. Rebellio was immediately pulled towards it, a scythe manifesting in his free hand as he proceeded to slash through any debris in his way, cleanly slicing a couple rocks and ice shards in half.

Once he reached his destination, Rebellio was quick to leap off of it, sending the Adept higher into the air, his scythe spinning violently as to slice through more incoming debris, soon making it high enough to clear the rain of stone and ice. At that moment, the Falcon threw his weapon at Weavile (or where he'd last spotted her, at least), scythe spinning at great speeds--- when it morphed into a spiked mace midair, likely to the Pokémon's surprise. Thread burst from the Falcon's body, momentarily attaching him to the ceiling, patiently awaiting Weavile's next move. Master Chief

John found himself impressed, Hareta's clever tactics beginning to shine in tandem as he worked alongside his team. However, this wasn't cause for the boy's celebration, as when he bit into the glove of 117's fingers, the MJOLNIR Gen 3 immediately administered biofoam to the sounds, which would spurt around the boy's teeth and into his mouth.

Biofoam was designed to be a self-sealing, space-filling coagulant, capable of rapid expansion to fill the space of a wound. While not at all toxic to ingest, the foam would fill and painfully seal wounds based upon a few key principles, one of those being an empty space where a potential organ was just blown through, the foam would then fill the space and seal it so tight that not even the vacuum of space would be enough to break the seal. It was the pinnacle of rapid-application medication.

So not only did foam begin to rapidly fill Hareta's mouth and trickle into his throat, all while quickly hardening and sealing to inadvertently prevent oxygen flow (the application of biofoam was intended to be a careful process, and it was always heavily advised to keep it away from orifices, though the foam would naturally dissolve in a few hours' time), its chemical components would no doubt be felt by Hareta as well.

Biofoam had several key components, one being morphophetamine, one being polyethyltriphosphate, and another being nitrous oxide. Together, their job was to numb any and all senses of the affected area, and if applied to the right area, can be effectively used for sedation. Another large side effect of ingesting biofoam was inducing a feeling of intoxication, or feeling high. The biofoam was not only filling Hareta's mouth with the potential of sealing up his throat in a matter of seconds, but it was also at high risk of altering his brain in the moment, if successful would effectively make him loopy.

Chief, meanwhile, got a warning from his suit that more biofoam had been administered than should be for his location of harm, which wasn't exactly a new experience, as he'd before applied biofoam to other soldiers from his own suit through his own wounds before. It was Hareta who was at risk from the biofoam, however. A numbness was applied to the point of the wounds, but the biofoam was ejecting into Hareta's mouth as opposed to filling up any other parts of 117's hand, so the numbness and pain nullification applied wasn't detrimental in the slightest---something by design.

Now the impressive bit was Misdreavus attempting to lock the Spartan's arm into place as Hareta bounded away, summoning a rope as he did so, a loop slipping over John's head, and like a pendulum, the boy meant to swing between the Spartan's legs. His hand unhindered from the bite, Chief was quick to yank something out from behind him, and his arm flashed through the air as Hareta made it between his legs. The rope severed at its loop by a thick combat knife Chief had procured, and Hareta's tug only pulled his severed rope to him. The same moment that Hareta tugged, John's HUD was pinged that his repulsor had recharged, and he was immediate in the response of a second pulse from it. Despite his arm being locked into place for the moment, it was angled almost perfectly at the now closer Misdreavus, the second repulsor blast aimed at breaking her hold of control while also dealing some minor damage in response, the power of such kinetic pushes not exactly being a gentle experience.

As this happened, Psyduck riskily maneuvared around Chief and Hareta's exchange as he continued his duel with the psychic simian, but despite the chaotic nature of the overlapping conflicts, John followed it beat for beat, more accustomed to a lot more happening going on than this, making following both fights not at all a drag on his awareness.

No doubt, if the foam had been given its few seconds to work, Hareta would surely be struggling with either it closing his only source of oxygen in an air-tight seal, or the disillusionate effects of the foam would begin to adle the boy's mind.

... Or both.

Solid Snake

With the shift of feet, Snake whirled about to watch the tail end of Axe come crashing through the roof and into the room. He was still alive, so that was impressive enough for Snake to make a mental note that he'd need just a bit more fire power---which he had. The kid yelled for his weapon back as he moved forward, a scarlet rock in one hand, which seemed to produce a few sparks of embers as the boy moved forward.

That gave Snake an idea. As he used Axe's own shield to skillfully deflect the flames, the soldier also rolled a phosphorous grenade between Axe's legs, and a plume of crimson smoke began to rapidly fill the room. As Snake blocked the attack, he moved backward, so that when the red smoke touched Axe's embers, the soldier would dive backward out of the hut. The connection of Axe's fire meeting the phosphorous smoke would result in an even larger explosion would would even ignite much of the oxygen around the phosphorous, and as its activation required Axe's fire, Axe would no doubt be closer to the source.

The resulting explosion would demolish the house, but as Snake dove backwards, he'd land in the water, slipping tactfully beneath the surface just enough. The resulting concussive force from the explosion would be cushioned to Snake by the water as he slipped further backward, like a fish wriggling the wrong way.

A fume of foam shot into his mouth, the boy gurgling on the sudden fluids forcefully injected into his orfice by the Spartan.

"BLAARGH!"

He spat out a glob of the stuff, splashing out toward Chief's visor as he begun his swing. A thick glaze rest over his tongue and coated the inner walls of his mouth and throat. Tasted like medicine. Awful medicine. Just what was that?

As the rope was cut, Hareta slid across the ground instead of flipping up on Chief as he had previously hoped. Skidding on his butt and full of a bitter taste, Hareta had a screwed up expression on his face of both.

Misdreavus looked over at him in surprise before she was sizzled by a thruster and knocked back, forcing her to cringe and shut her eyes. This disabled the psybeam she had maintained, as she spiraled out of the way.

"Hey! It's gonna take more than that...! Youuu...!" Hareta exclaimed, his voice becoming more and more slurred and dragged into as his spoke. "Say...you...isn't this whole place kinda...warpy-worpy...?"

He staggered to his feet, his stance swaying unpredictability in random directions. What was in that medicine?? Hareta attempted to punch Chief square in the chest, however, his body decided not to cooperate, and instead flang himself like a limp noodle atop of him, all the while a surf raced overhead.

Specter

"Ineffective."

Judging from Psyduck's trajectory going headlong, he realized there was no way for him to turn in air. He used water attacks to turn, and with his head used up for Hydro pump...he had him right where he wanted. This was over.

He manifest a psychic ring right in front of him and Psyduck's way. The psychic ring's inner layer began to fill in, the hole becoming smaller and smaller. If his math was correct, Psyduck's stubby head would be caught and his fat belly would be left behind before...he would sever the head. With the headlong charge, there was no way Psyduck could have expected such a move. And even if he did, there was little he could do about it.

Rebellio

Another fake. Surely there was a limit to how many she could conjure in a single fight, right?

Rebellio could barely hear Weavile's claws clicking against the stone as she leapt up at him, the Falcon turning around midair, his thread sturdy yet flexible enough to allow such a maneuver. While he didn't quite have enough time to craft another weapon, Rebellio managed to bring an arm up to block the attack, numerous poisonous jabs striking his armor, which thankfully held strong despite the numerous marks and slashes present all along it.

Several strings suddenly burst from the ceiling like bullets, the very same ones that had attached Rebellio to it moments prior. They all headed straight for Weavile, aiming to stab through her, taking advantage of their speed, close proximity to the Pokémon, and the element of surprise all at the same time. A scythe was already taking form in the Falcon's other hand, ready to strike at a moment's notice following Weavile's next move.

Master Chief

The gunk that had been spat into Chief's visor would have been very problematic, had 117 not been wearing his Mjolnir Powered Assault Armor. Not only was the visor designed to wipe away gunk that covered its surface, its polygon structure was built with a powerful type of glass that prevented most things from sticking against it. Things like blood, gunk, mud, and to an extent, even biofoam (though plasma grenades actively countered such resistances). So while much of the gunk slid off, flying off with the swivel of Chief's head, any remaining residue went ignored as several of the Spartan's outer cameras activated to counteract any potential hindering to his sight, overlapping the imagery.

As Misdreavus was knocked aside, and Hareta began to succumb to the mental side effects of the biofoam, the Spartan acted quickly, capitalizing on the momentary lapse in focus from Misdreavus by swinging his arm, and letting the combat knife spin, directly aimed for Hareta's chest, headed for the heart as the boy clumsily moved forward, but considering his lurch forward, the blade was more liable to plunge into the kid's skull all the same, unless stopped/redirected or if Hareta was moved.

Weavile
She couldn't land a direct hit, but her jabs coated his armor in poison and surely weakened it considerably.
However, Weavile cancelled her assault and instead grabbed onto Rebellio's arm, her eyes slit in preparation, ears perked as she heard earth being displaced, and not by her this time.
As if on cue, the strings burst from the ceiling. Weavile swung below the Adept and sucker punched his side, using the force to disengage and fall back to the floor, all at an impressive speed. Weavile faced Rebellio as she fell, waiting for his next action.

Rebellio

Weavile had moved out of the way of the strings, something Rebellio completely expected to happen. The way her eyes slit and ears perked up clearly meant she'd been ready to move at a moment's notice.

So right as the Pokémon attempted to sucker punch the Falcon's side, his newly crafted scythe was swung her way, the two attacks clashing, possibly even dealing some damage to Weavile. As the creature fell, she would no doubt notice something stuck on her claw--- a minuscule thread, the other end of it attached to Rebellio, having been left behind when the Adept swung his scythe. Making use of this anchor point, Rebellio quickly propelled himself toward the Pokémon, aiming to score a quick slash while Weavile was still airborne.

Duckfall
A thousand negative thoughts raced through Psyduck's large melon as he missed. How could he miss?
The white ape had formed a counterattack, taking advantage of Psyduck's whiff, where he would attempt to decapitate the fowl. His timing was perfect... but The Duck's long bill had other ideas. It hit the edge of the ring first, slowing his momentum enough for the ring to close on his head instead, which was still protected by the psychic energy of Zen Headbutt!
This shot the small waterfowl back towards the other fight, skidding within a foot of Hareta. Psyduck dodged a sudden lurching step from the boy, then scrambled away and onto his feet. Noticing a black scorch mark where the ring hit his bill, he spit onto his hand and rubbed it squeaky clean; he had to look good while fighting. Then, he continued to blast Hydro Pumps at Specter, Chief and Hareta behind him still.

Hareta

Misdreavus, still dazed from the previous attack, shook her head, attempting to get her senses about her. When she came to, she saw Master Chief raise his knife over a discombobulated Hareta.

"Dreee!" The ghost shrieked out in shock.

The ghost rushed in to create a psybeam at the arm, but by the time she preformed the attack-

Slash!

...It was done. Hareta was quickly removed from the picture at the hand of a UNSC blade. The drugged up boy slumped over as the ghost looked on in a quivering stunned silence. Almost as if tied to his life energy, Misdreavus vanished into this air, supposedly returned to it's pokeball forcefully.

Winner...Master Chief!

Specter

A slippery little one. As Psyduck fell to the ground, the ring fully closed, becoming a violet disk of energy. So as Psyduck shot his water at him, all he need do was swerve the psychic plate in front of him, deflecting the water completely.

"Tell me, yellow one, what do you know of papercraft?"

That's when the disc folded in on itself, creases and facets forming like a psychic energy crystal before it became the shape of a thick violet spear. With a flick of his index finger, the spear was thrust at alarming speeds down right at Psyduck, to impale him with an over killing strike.

Master Chief

The plunge of steel into flesh was undeniable, and the boy went limp, slumping for the ground. Before he could fall, the Chief's other arm slipped under the kid, catching him. A fanfare began to play throughout the arena, although a bit subtle as opposed to prior matches. The strike was fatal and instantaneous---the knife had struck the heart. If Hareta had felt any pain from the wound, it had been as brief as possible.

"... Looks like... that's that..." Kalmiya spoke. 117 said nothing in response as he lowered Hareta to the ground, lifting his hand from the knife to drift his fingers over Hareta's eyes, closing his half-shut lids. "Chief, are you okay?"

Still, the Spartan didn't reply as he rose to his feet, staring down, ignoring the fight behind him. While this was far from something he'd wanted to do, ultimately, this outcome was better. Not just for Hareta being eliminated from the tournament, but also from preventing the possibility of his victory. He was a good kid, no doubt, but his obsession with fighting and his moral positivity would have more than likely been detrimental when dealing with the reward for ultimate victory. That sort of responsibility would be too great, and good a heart as the kid had, it would mean he could never make the tough calls that sometimes needed to be made.

While John didn't expect himself to be 100% up to the task, he believed the safest hands were still his own, especially now that he'd grown much from Cortana's betrayal. Then there was the fact of preventing Specter from achieving this victory, and despite the slippery duck surviving this long, Chief was aware that the ape hadn't been pushed to his limit, yet. Favor was still for him.

A gateway opened before John, and as he stepped through it, Hareta's body vanished.

However, rather than appear back in the lobby immediately, the Chief found himself standing in a field, houses doting the hills around him. Despite it appearing to be day, the sky was an inky black, and the world seemed shaded. It was akin to a solar eclipse. The Spartan could see an individual standing opposite him within the field---Hareta, his wounds now absent as he held his hands to his chest. Sticking out of the top of his clasped hands was the tip of a now familiar item: a key.

Chief had already assumed Hareta had achieved a key, but now this confirmed as much. The boy seemed to wake from a trance as Chief stared across at him.

Psyduck has never heard of papercraft
Psyduck heard the finish of the fight behind him, and glanced back to see that the child was dead. He quickly pumped his fist and celebrated silently, and then looked back to his fight. Specter's extremely choreographed attack gave Psyduck enough time to summon a wave of water to begin quickly strafing around his foe. But this wasn't enough, and the spear hit him dead on due to the psychic's leading of the shot. The energy singed The Duck's feathers and knocked him off his Surf and into the dirt. His eyes were spirals, and he was unable to continue.

Axe

"What the- Woah!" Before Axe could act with his fists, the gas, which began to make the boy cough, began to expand as the ember's touched before the gas suddenly exploded in flame.

Of course, a thought is even faster, especially one for someone like Axe, and his thoughts activated the green stone again, though not fast enough to escape small burns on his back as a flash of light dropped Axe away and out from the explosion, now on one of the bridges separating the platforms as he got to his feet, dazed.
"Urgh...Shoot, he's good. I need another plan, wherever he's gone..." Axe soon decided to himself, holding off the urge to hurl from that...weird, smoky stuff! Of course, Snake was nowhere to be seen, so Axe, once again, was on the hunt. "C'mon, come out..." He murmured, trying to listen out for any noises, small or big now.

Solid Snake

Axe might have thought he was the hunter, but it had been Snake doing the hunting since the match began. Hit and runs to weaken the kid's defenses, which Snake now knew was the accurate strategy---but the same tricks couldn't keep being used. So now the soldier slid along the bottom of the bridge, beneath Axe, placing explosives as he moved, planning on eliminating one escape route. While he didn't expect Axe to be the type to flee, David wasn't interested in letting it be an option nonetheless.

Once satisfied with his placements, the soldier swung off the bridge, summoning Cypher, who lifted him up and beyond the side of the infrastructure, rising up into the air, intent on giving Axe the impression of a stand, a proper fight, a 1v1, however you wanted to name it.

Hareta

.
..
...

"Huh?"

As Hareta came to, he was in surroundings that didn't seem familiar in the slightest. In his grip, a key found itself at home. Where was he? Had he been booted from the tournament? After finding Chief standing there, he figured this wasn't the case as he had a smile on his face, a small one, but one nonetheless.

"Heh...that was a good fight, no hard feelings, right?" He chuckled lightly. "How'd the tourney end? Did you end up beatin' 'em all? What was the prize?"

Seemed Hareta didn't know how long he was out of it. He figured the tournament was over.

Specter

"Hmph."

Specter floated down to the ground, deactivating his psychic barrier as his boots touched the rocky platform below. Taking a single look at Psyduck's body, he flapped his cape around and exited through the gateway that appeared before him.

.
..
...

"...How...interesting."

Specter found himself in a void. Purples and grays swirled as he stood on nothing. Looking up, he met with the eyes of Psyduck, whom appeared to be clutching a yellow glowing key. Specter instantly recognized it. His helmet began to ping in his mind. This was the signature he was tracking!

"You, duck. Hand me that."

Metal
As the grim reaper set up rather dramatically, Metal analyzed his abilities. He could already tell he would heavily rely on the large scythe orbiting him, but the damage from the mini scythes would be problematic. Metal rearranged his positioning slightly as each scythe came towards him. This wasn’t too difficult.

However, it quickly got more complicated. The wolf created a large cyclone that sucked up all the mini-scythes, before causing them to rain down on the entire battlefield. Quickly analyzing the situation, Metal got an idea.

He dashed upwards, heading towards the scythes. He rapidly moved to the side or did a flip whenever some neared to avoid getting hit, but he also began to grab some. Rather elegantly, Metal got into a pattern of dodging and grabbing. Every time he dodged, he rolled and caught one of the scythes by the staff, then quickly turned to the side and threw the scythe at Amaterasu. This cycle repeated several times before all the scythes were below him.

Metal was now even further above the battlefield. His arms were crossed and he almost looked...smug? He seemed to be perfectly prepared for his opponents to make another move.

Psyduck
The Duck had blacked out to find himself in some weird void world that didn't really make sense to him. Oh, and Specter was there too.

"You, duck. Hand me that."

Psyduck glanced down to see a glowy key in his hand. He looked up at the white ape. As if he was gonna listen to this arrogant jerk!
The waterfowl's response was simple... he shoved the key into his mouth, though it didn't taste too good. Then, he cracked his knuckles, assuming that this was a shot at round 2, and began aggressively tromping toward the monkey.

The monkey chuckled, crossing his arms as he raised a musing brow at the approaching Pokémon.

"Hehehe~ Do forgive me, but are you under the impression that this is optional?"

Specter's helmet would glow yellow as he psychically locked into the key buried within Psyduck's gullet. He would attempt to force it out, choking the duck in the process if he attempted to resist.
