Master Chief
John found himself impressed, Hareta's clever tactics beginning to shine in tandem as he worked alongside his team. However, this wasn't cause for the boy's celebration, as when he bit into the glove of 117's fingers, the MJOLNIR Gen 3 immediately administered biofoam to the sounds, which would spurt around the boy's teeth and into his mouth.
Biofoam was designed to be a self-sealing, space-filling coagulant, capable of rapid expansion to fill the space of a wound. While not at all toxic to ingest, the foam would fill and painfully seal wounds based upon a few key principles, one of those being an empty space where a potential organ was just blown through, the foam would then fill the space and seal it so tight that not even the vacuum of space would be enough to break the seal. It was the pinnacle of rapid-application medication.
So not only did foam begin to rapidly fill Hareta's mouth and trickle into his throat, all while quickly hardening and sealing to inadvertently prevent oxygen flow (the application of biofoam was intended to be a careful process, and it was always heavily advised to keep it away from orifices, though the foam would naturally dissolve in a few hours' time), its chemical components would no doubt be felt by Hareta as well.
Biofoam had several key components, one being morphophetamine, one being polyethyltriphosphate, and another being nitrous oxide. Together, their job was to numb any and all senses of the affected area, and if applied to the right area, can be effectively used for sedation. Another large side effect of ingesting biofoam was inducing a feeling of intoxication, or feeling high. The biofoam was not only filling Hareta's mouth with the potential of sealing up his throat in a matter of seconds, but it was also at high risk of altering his brain in the moment, if successful would effectively make him loopy.
Chief, meanwhile, got a warning from his suit that more biofoam had been administered than should be for his location of harm, which wasn't exactly a new experience, as he'd before applied biofoam to other soldiers from his own suit through his own wounds before. It was Hareta who was at risk from the biofoam, however. A numbness was applied to the point of the wounds, but the biofoam was ejecting into Hareta's mouth as opposed to filling up any other parts of 117's hand, so the numbness and pain nullification applied wasn't detrimental in the slightest---something by design.
Now the impressive bit was Misdreavus attempting to lock the Spartan's arm into place as Hareta bounded away, summoning a rope as he did so, a loop slipping over John's head, and like a pendulum, the boy meant to swing between the Spartan's legs. His hand unhindered from the bite, Chief was quick to yank something out from behind him, and his arm flashed through the air as Hareta made it between his legs. The rope severed at its loop by a thick combat knife Chief had procured, and Hareta's tug only pulled his severed rope to him. The same moment that Hareta tugged, John's HUD was pinged that his repulsor had recharged, and he was immediate in the response of a second pulse from it. Despite his arm being locked into place for the moment, it was angled almost perfectly at the now closer Misdreavus, the second repulsor blast aimed at breaking her hold of control while also dealing some minor damage in response, the power of such kinetic pushes not exactly being a gentle experience.
As this happened, Psyduck riskily maneuvared around Chief and Hareta's exchange as he continued his duel with the psychic simian, but despite the chaotic nature of the overlapping conflicts, John followed it beat for beat, more accustomed to a lot more happening going on than this, making following both fights not at all a drag on his awareness.
No doubt, if the foam had been given its few seconds to work, Hareta would surely be struggling with either it closing his only source of oxygen in an air-tight seal, or the disillusionate effects of the foam would begin to adle the boy's mind.
... Or both.
Solid Snake
With the shift of feet, Snake whirled about to watch the tail end of Axe come crashing through the roof and into the room. He was still alive, so that was impressive enough for Snake to make a mental note that he'd need just a bit more fire power---which he had. The kid yelled for his weapon back as he moved forward, a scarlet rock in one hand, which seemed to produce a few sparks of embers as the boy moved forward.
That gave Snake an idea. As he used Axe's own shield to skillfully deflect the flames, the soldier also rolled a phosphorous grenade between Axe's legs, and a plume of crimson smoke began to rapidly fill the room. As Snake blocked the attack, he moved backward, so that when the red smoke touched Axe's embers, the soldier would dive backward out of the hut. The connection of Axe's fire meeting the phosphorous smoke would result in an even larger explosion would would even ignite much of the oxygen around the phosphorous, and as its activation required Axe's fire, Axe would no doubt be closer to the source.
The resulting explosion would demolish the house, but as Snake dove backwards, he'd land in the water, slipping tactfully beneath the surface just enough. The resulting concussive force from the explosion would be cushioned to Snake by the water as he slipped further backward, like a fish wriggling the wrong way.
