Amaterasu
As the water spout rose higher, Amaterasu was pushed to the peak. The sheer force of the rising water allowed her to stand on the foam, and she was the first one to reach the roof.
Unfortunately, that also meant she was the first to see Blade's lightning strike. The sun goddess's mouth opened in shock, unsure of how to keep the resulting conduction from harming her allies. She was just about to try her reflector when a red barrier appeared above her, blocking the lightning strike. Amaterasu turned to see a strangely-dressed teen pulling her arm back. She had a strange energy within her, but regardless, Amaterasu was grateful for the assist, and barked out a thanks.
The sound of a Thorn's cry caught Ammy's attention, and she immediately jumped off the waterspout. The wolf dashed towards the fallen kid, barking as she positioned herself between him and any oncoming threats. She remained at attention, desiring to protect the now two human lives in jeopardy.

Terrence Boom
Terrence could feel the pressure of the water forcing him upward- he suspected this would probably hurt an ordinary human- luckily, almost everyone here seemed to be superhuman, at the very least. They all had… interesting qualities, but they were all extremely strong in their own ways. Different ways than he was used to. And he’d fought a serious variety of people in recent times- physical foes. Mental foes. Magical foes. Emotional foes. Foes that wielded giant SOUL-borne weaponry, foes birthed from a world of artificial intelligence, and he’d been this close to stepping forward against a foe worshipped as a god…
And yet, somehow, he wasn’t familiar with any of this. Maybe it just meant he had a lot to learn still, but…
It was like nobody here even used a SOUL.

He surfaced soon after Amaterasu, naturally, emerging from the water and shooting upward a few feet- he hadn’t ended up witnessing the lightning strike itself, but he’d certainly heard it and felt the powerful vibration it caused… but interestingly, he hadn’t actually been harmed in any way. Why? Well, the answer was on the roof.

There were a lot of people, and as he landed, Terrence did a ‘scan,’ as swiftly as he could- it was mostly familiar faces, the same people he’d been fighting alongside in and out of this building. There was Amaterasu, of course, Thorn and his company- though things didn’t seem to be going so smoothly over there. There was that girl- Tracy was her name, the summoner…

But two were unfamiliar- or, at least, Terrence thought so at first.
They were clearly engaged in intense battle, and yet…
That was definitely… undeniably…

No. It wasn’t, right? This wasn’t real. Well, sure, it was real, but like- it wasn’t actually her. This wasn’t his world, nor was it the Frisk that existed in his world, surely. It was just… a version of her… this was definitely like the last time he’d seen her… except that hadn’t been her, technically…
So… this WASN’T the same…
And this… wasn’t The Mountain’s doing either, was it? This wasn’t quite like that time. So this Frisk…

He opened his mouth. He wanted to call out to her, but he couldn’t, the magic of his katana dying like a flame losing oxygen- his focus was completely lost in the moment. He remained frozen in place- confused, shocked, yet he couldn’t deny he was… happy.
At least, he thought he was? Again, it really circled back around to confusion no matter what direction his brain tried to go.

“Is that…”

“tHE HOOMAN!!!!!” Tempura was able to issue her unique greeting before he could get his thought out.

Boboiboy - Blaze & Thorn

That dog and blind dude were out first, naturally. After they had been on the ground for a few, Blaze popped out next, leaping out of the water and landing on the roof with a thud. Not as bad as he expected a reverse waterfall to be, but he'd certainly take it.

Quickly acknowledging his surroundings, he saw battle already going well underway, penguins doing...something. Ice, lightning, and a plant dinosaur all going about. There was a new beanie wearing girl and a masked person. Both unfamiliar but against each other. But the dinosaur seemed to be attacking the techno one, so that one was likely the enemy.

Wait. If the tumbosaur was there...where was Thorn?

After hearing a bark, he caught Amaterasu from the corner of his eye, he saw her next to a fallen Thorn and an hurt Tracy. His eyes widened.

"What the...Tree hugger!"

He exclaimed as he ran over to them. Flipping Thorn face up like a pancake, he grabbed their collar, hoisting them up.

"What happened?! You did something stupid again didn't you?!"

Thorn coughed, weakly giving him a thumbs up, still somewhat smoking from the electricity. Blaze grit his teeth, shaking his head furiously.

"Damn it. DamnitDamnitDamnitDAMNIT!!"

District Wall – VS Blade
Frisk's use of magic was enough to spare the others from Blade's attacks, destroying or knocking away the katana fragments to prevent any lightning strikes from reaching the group, while the bolt that had headed for the incoming geyser was narrowly blocked by a barrier of determination, barely managing to hold. Once again, the masked warrior showed little reaction to the ineffectiveness of the attack, simply drawing her sword again as she held a defensive stance, Frisk and Thorn's Tumbosaur alike rushing toward the Adept.

Thanks to the magic boosting her physical attributes, the human was the first to strike, going for a low slash that Blade did indeed jump over. The Tumbosaur soon followed, trying to bite into Blade just as Frisk made to slash upward, when the Adept's sword flashed around her as she spun in midair, katana shimmering with electricity. In one swift motion, she swung to both slice the Tumbosaur's maw open and deflect the incoming saber slash.

This didn't quite save her from the subsequent pavise tackle, Blade falling to the ground with a grunt, Frisk momentarily pinning her with the construct against it. A surge of lightning came from Sumeragi's enforcer, one that her opponent managed to call and avoid, and when another blast fired out at Frisk... it merely moved through her.

As though by instinct, Blade had nearly turned around halfway by the time the SOUL-user's weapon came down, the erratic nature of the saber enabling it to bypass the swordfighter's defenses. It cut down along her upper back, phasing past the cloak and armor to immediately cut into the flesh underneath, this time earning a brief shout from the woman – before she lashed out with her katana at Frisk with great speed and ferocity, leaving a streak of lightning in her wake. The damage dealt upon her, at least for now, didn't seem to slow her down as much as anticipated.

It was at that moment that more people emerged from the waterspout, all evidently in support of the attack on Sumeragi's district wall.

"So more would try to oppose order..."

Blade grit her teeth as electricity gathered on her weapon, pivoting to follow up on her earlier motion, when she swung low, and her slash unleashed a fast-moving wave of electricity along the rooftop, stretching four feet high and twenty feet wide, aiming to catch all of her opposition in its path.

"Fall!"

Boboiboy - Thorn & Blaze

The slash from their Sumeragi aligned opponent swiftly penetrated through the tumbosaur's head. The plant monster screeching as its head bisected, sticky sap splashing like an open wound from its stump before the creature crashed forward, skidding across the ground before stopping completely. It had been felled.

This isn't good

Blaze looked at the battle proceeding, attacks getting progressively more and more sweeping, the amount of electricity worrying for practically everyone here. There was no direct counter. Thorn and Blaze both being electrocuted to great effect within the past bit, their odds didn't seem great.

"Hey...Blaze...?"

Blaze looked down to the weak Thorn, who raised their fist to him, a smile on his face despite his injury. Exchanging a look, the green elemental nodded his head. Someway, somehow, they both knew what they had to do. Blaze nodded his head in kind. Blaze balled his own fist, connecting with Thorn. In a flash, both fighters disappeared in blinks of green and orange light.

"Elemental Shift!"

They both called out in unison, both of their forms becoming one. They became a bundle of red energy, a new figure emerging. They appeared to be an individual, dressed in various shades of red, black, and white. A lightning bolt was embalmed on his hat, which was worn on tightly facing forwards. They were dressed in a thin fitting black jacket with red highlights alongside equally as slick pants, their eyes flashing open a deep red.

"Thunderstorm."

Blade was building up something. As energy piled on and her weapon gathered power, Thunderstorm thrust his head to the side, a crimson blade forming from what seemed to be thin air.

"Fall!"

Now

Thunderstorm struck the ground with their newly summoned blade, gripping it with both hands. Suddenly, the electric wave that was called forth would be attracted to it like a lightning rod, curving away from his allies. With allies spared from the brunt of the wave, the red broadsword would start absorbing the electricity, not too dissimilar to how Blade herself was moment prior. If this task was difficult, Thunderstorm's face betrayed no sign of it.

Drawing it while bypassing Frisk, Amaterasu, Tracy, and other allies that were nearby the drawing zone, Thunderstorm grasped the broadsword by the handle, manually driving it up from the ground as it hissed in bright red power it stored, radiating.

"Begone."

He quickly thrust the broadsword like Zeus's lightning bolt, the blade becoming a thick red energy spear in flight. The goal? To terminate Blade in one decisive strike, impaling her before detonating in a shocking display of crackling lightning!

Akira
The policewoman followed soon after Blaze, shooting out of the geyser at the top. It was a wild scene, with over a dozen combatants. One versus the rest. It was kind of disheartening to see everyone ganging up on one person. Instead of going on the offensive, Akira moved over to Kiwi and Tracy, guarding the less physically-inclined members of the group. The masked woman started preaching some rhetoric, and then flung a wall of lightning their way. The Legionnaire braced for it, but suddenly, Blaze had changed. Where his fiery self once stood was a... cold individual, who seemed to be different in every way besides visage. He absorbed the attack, and retaliated with a lethal attack. Officer Howard was exasperated.

"Don't- ...Don't stoop to their level!"

Akira cursed under her breath. She didn't want to discipline her teammates mid-fight, so she hoped her sentiment would stick.

The Bard

The two little kids had ran up to Kiwi, having liked the song. Noting it was inspirationial, and something reminisicent of someone called the 'Muse of Hope', another musician. They sounded nice if that was true! The most response the praise got from the Bard was blubbering of simple phrases like 'Oh, thanks!', among other things.

Of course, everyone else was moving, and for a moment...Well, Kiwi was a little disappointed. Even with those who listened, it seemed Kiwi was going to be left behind.
Perhaps she should've counted that as a blessing, with what occured next.

Suddenly, smoke burst around, getting a small yelp of surprise from Kiwi before a hand suddenly grabbed them. Next thing she knew, the bard was surrounded by strange walls...
Wait - Is this the inside of a cannon? Like on a pirate ship? That's so cool-!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"Giddyup, buttercup! We're taking flight! Destination: The top of that wall!" Was what...someone, said.
Huh?
BOOM!

"AHHHHHHH!!!!!!" Suddenly, the cannon fired. With Kiwi inside. A quick way to go up, that was sure... But also an absolutely terrifying one.

Wait, was it that terrifying? Well, yes. Blood was rushing to their head for a reason... But it was sort of exhilarating, in a way!
Then the missiles came, and-!
Wait? Missiles?
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!" Kiwi's shouts continued in a panicked frenzy, like a flurry of notes. Thankfully, the singing manifested some sort of protective barrier, shielding Kiwi and Miracle from most of the missiles...

If Miracle was able to hold off the remainders, Kiwi would land on the roof, completely dazed for a good moment until after Akira had moved over to both him and Tracy...
"Uhm...what happened...?"

The telltale sounds of lightning occured. Kiwi was too used to it, as much as they wished otherwise... This lady the group was fighting launched a wave of electricity from a blade. The Bard froze up instantly - Not in fear, though the facial expression wouldn't exactly dissuade that line of thinking - But in a moment of clear thinking.
"Audrey...?"

Stunned by this line of thinking, Kiwi could only stand there as 'Thunderstorm', where Blaze and Thorn had once been in a shift of energy, absorbed the lightning... And thrust forward with a broadsword for an attempted kill.
"w-wait...!" Kiwi tried to cry out, but it came out more like a whimper...

FRISK DREEMURR

The teenager grit her teeth when her attack landed - but only barely. Frisk had gone through quite a lot to reach this point of performance. Fast, strong, tough, versatile... but damn, this woman was speedy and skilled. Definitely a step above the usual Messiah lieutenants, though not really on the level of a leader.

At least, not yet.

Thankfully, the calvary had arrived. Frisk was no longer (mostly) alone, but that had two unintended effects that she was quick to realize. 1) more support was making Frisk feel relieved, and it was slowing her down, it made the stakes feel less dire and personal - not their fault, of course, but it was there... and 2) it was making Blade more ferocious, and definitively more focused. She wasn’t the type to get overwhelmed by numbers alone, and her speed meant she was quick on her feet, too. Adaptable. Dangerous.

Frisk’s slash with the imitation Chaos Saber had scored her a hit, but that phasing technique was a drain on her magic. She hadn’t tried it in some time, but it was still more of a hassle than it might have been worth. It didn’t help that Blade was exhausting her AFTER Frisk already had to reach the top of the tower in the first place.

In truth, she really wasn’t used to staying this active for this long. She was winded, her muscles were starting to ache, her exhaustion seeping into her mind... if support hadn’t arrived, she’d also be getting desperate.

She didn’t want to get desperate enough for her Other to rear its head, and that didn’t mean Chara.

Blade’s cry encouraged Frisk to pull back, not letting her weapon cut any deeper, the teen taking a quick pace back at Blade’s retaliation, the woman turning and—

“tHE HOOMAN!!!!!”

Was that a Temmie?? Frisk’s mind was momentarily distracted by the familiar, and she didn’t summon her pavise, or even a barrier, tensing her tired muscles at the sight of Blade’s attack, another wave of electrical energy. Frisk had snapped quickly back to attention, but as it had already been established... Blade was faster.

Frisk brought her arms up instinctively and defensively, but that didn’t help to stop the lash-out slash. The streak of lightning cracking out with a boom and blasting the teenager off of her feet.

Her ears rang again. Her eyes swam. Was that the second time she’d been hit by lightning? Or the third? She could feel It clawing up out of her throat, begging to be let free.

You’re weakened, it tried to convince her. You need me.

Frisk forced herself to regain her sense of both sight and self, finding herself sprawled on the edge of the roof - almost off of it. “Ugh...” she groaned, twisting her aching body away from the ledge, feeling a searing pain on her forearms. This could totally be going better... but then again, it could also be going a lot worse.

This fight had gone on long enough... Frisk was in no position to try and keep up her performance. It’d be just stupid to keep trying to force Blade to focus on her, but maybe that support would be enough to quell her... or maybe they’d all die if Frisk didn’t keep trying.

Gritting her teeth so hard it hurt, Frisk forced herself up, climbing to her feet despite her pain. Blade had just finished charging up a powerful move. Frisk wasn’t sure if she had the power or time to counter it totally, but...

“Fall.”

Blade’s attack came, and Frisk grounded herself, channeling her Determination and her determination, and—

The wave of energy was pulled elsewhere. The lightning, the energy, it was magnetized toward one of the newcomers who looked kind of like that boy whose dinosaur Blade had just killed. The boy’s broadsword had been stabbed into the roof, and it was anchoring the lightning. That was a pretty cool technique... there had to be a way to replicate it.

Frisk felt relief start to come over her, but quickly pushed it away. She couldn’t afford relief, the attack had been quelled, but Blade was still standing. However, after absorbing that energy, the boy with the sword flung his weapon like a javelin at the Falcon, the intent clear.

“Damnit...” Frisk muttered to herself. She didn’t have the time or energy to try reasoning with this kid, and if Blade was open after her big attack, she’d be killed, no doubt about it.

An angled and small barrier of red manifested in the sword-turned-spear’s path, the angle of the shield forcing the launched weapon to glance off of it. The barrier was shattered with ease, but it had done the trick, glancing the spear up and above Blade to miss her completely—before it erupted in a shower of lightning right over Blade’s head. If she didn’t outright absorb that energy, it’d probably hurt, but Frisk doubted it would kill the woman outright.

“Not... killing her...” Frisk panted, still shaking off that last attack. She could really do with some monster food right about now.

Despite wanting to fall back, Frisk kept herself rooted, still trying to channel more of her magic. That kid would just have to understand. If he didn’t... well, hopefully the others could make him.

Tracy Rinehart

The Penguin Ninja and Nopenguin combo hadn't been successful, with Blade having been able to avoid and block the shuriken. In the chaos of battle, Tracy considered running for cover. But she paused as she saw Thorn, laying on the ground wounded. That electric attack had taken a lot more out of him than she had thought! Tracy moved to help him, when there was a sudden burst of noise and movement! A geyser of water exploded from the floor, carrying with it everyone that had been fighting below! Luckily, Frisk had been able to cover for the appearance of their allies in their vulnerable state.

Thorn's lookalike and a... dog? The pair moved to protect Thorn, which meant Tracy could focus on the opponent at hand. Fast. Electric powered. But also, convicted of their own ideals...

Tracy drew a card. In a flash of light, there was another crack of lightning! Somehow, Thorn and his lookalike had... pulled a Polymerization? It was like they had fused together. A Contact Fusion? This new Lightning-Thorn was like an entirely different person, moving and attacking with lethal force.

The Policewoman moved up with her, and Tracy gave the woman a grateful nod. In the same moment, the person dressed as a medival archer landed next to her! Where had he come from? No time to think about that! The battle continued to evolve, Frisk... using her magic to protect Blade from Lightning-Thorn's lethal attack? She was serious about that no-killing.

Blade's lightning wave attack headed towards Tracy, Akira, and Bard. Nopenguin quickly moved to the front of the group, holding up its sign smugly. But instead of blocking the attack, Tracy watched as the attack curved away, into Lightning-Thorn. He had absorbed the attack!

The attack blocked, Tracy broke off from Akira and Bard. She ran in a wide arc around Blade, trying to flank the warrior. Frisk's move had been a risky one, she needed to cover for the girl.
"You call this order?!" Tracy called out to Blade. She placed a card on her duel disk, and a large Spell Card rose from the ground next to her. It depicted an underwater building, one painted and maintained with a water wheel next to it. Various corals and shells dotted the landscape like trees and plants. Around the battlefield that was the roof, similar buildings faded into existance. Corals and shells like trees and plants sprouted from all over the ground.

"Bodies littering the streets, the city in ruins! You claim you're for order, but all I can see is chaos and death!" Tracy yelled to Blade, and gestured to the warrior. "Now, Penguin Ninja!"
With a poof of smoke, the Penguin Ninja appeared and threw two more ice shuriken at Blade. The attack seemed stronger now, the shurikens larger and moving quicker than before. They would hone in on Blade, attempting to disarm the warrior of her weapon.
"And, since I activated a Penguin monster effect, Nopenguin returns from the grave!" Tracy said. In a whirlwind of ice and snow, the smug sign-bearing Penguin reappeared. It waved at Blade as it powered up Penguin Ninja's shuriken.

"Penguin Ninja, hide again! Nopenguin, attack!" Tracy commanded. Ninja Penguin ducked down, hiding as a face-down card once more. Nopenguin squawked, raising its sign. A large block of ice in the shape of an X appeared above Blade, attempting to fall and crush the warrior! The duelist stared down Blade with determination.

Come on! Fight me, I'm here!

Terrence Boom
Things were heating up, and fast. Terrence couldn’t afford to be dumbfounded right now, he literally just could not afford it, or someone was going to get killed. That dinosaur creature had already been slain, and the new union between the ‘twins’ as Terrence had come to think of them…
It was seemingly only through intervention by Frisk herself that the fusion’s attack didn’t inflict potentially fatal damage.

His katana flared back to life, and Terrence wedged it into the ground, using it to push himself upward, vaulting over the wall of electricity that that masked girl was firing off. She was powerful, that much was clear- enough so that she was comfortably taking on Frisk, even with backup. But, on the other hand, it did seem that Frisk was making a serious effort not to let this battle progress to the point of death on either side.

The other Sumeragi he’d met up until now… well, this woman kind of put them to shame. If she was this powerful, it wasn’t far fetched to assume she held a high rank, and the higher the rank, the deeper rooted the brainwashing could get. He’d had a small bit of success with conversing with some Sumeragi grunts before, but all he’d managed to do was negotiate a retreat, and that was only when a victory was completely and utterly hopeless on their side.

But he had to try.
For himself, for everyone up here, for Kyota and his friends… and for Frisk.

“Tempura, get down,” he murmured, landing closer to the action, katana in hand, but he held it low. The Temmie ducked down into his bag at the request, as the shell on T’s back only got denser and denser.
He was really starting to feel it.

“Hey, you!”
He was calling out to Blade- feeling like this was simultaneously a dumb decision, while also being the only one he could possibly make right now.
“Listen- I don’t know who you are, but- none of the people you’re fighting against right now are from here! We’re all just… here, for some reason, and I don’t really understand why. I know we’re not the kind of people you’re used to fighting against, right? You’re surrounded by unusual things, and unusual people… and that means you don’t really understand what’s going on either. You’re dangerous to us, but you’re also outnumbered- I’m just… asking… you don’t stand to lose anything if we can just calm down, and have a conversation, right? Maybe we can figure something out- nobody needs to die up here.”

While he agreed entirely with Tracy’s sentiment, his approach was pretty different- while she was taking the giant ice block route, he was moreso hoping he could get through to this masked stranger- if he could find a willingness to just talk instead of fight, then he’d have something to build off of. He had to try and find, and appeal to, any shred of reasonability in there. Maybe Frisk's actions just now would aid in that.

District Wall – VS Blade
The wave of lightning coursed into Thunderstorm's sword, high amounts of lightning building up within it, glowing brightly. After a moment, it launched directly ahead towards Blade, who raised her own sword in response, seemingly prepared to deal with it even head-on.

Suddenly, Frisk's barrier appeared in the weapon's path, and the spear bounced upward, bursting directly over the Adept – unleashing a barrage of crimson lightning that fell atop her. Blade buckled slightly under the force, gritting her teeth, but the electricity raining all over the swordswoman didn't dissipate on impact, instead continuing to crackle around her body, burning some holes into her cloak. Holding similar command over electricity, Thunderstorm's damage onto Blade seemed to have been highly mitigated – though some strain was surely put on her, as she remained rooted to her spot.

In the midst of this, Tracy sprinted away from the rest of the group, calling upon more of her monsters' attacks while challenging the Adept's claims.

"A small price for the flourishing of Adepts!" Blade replied, a little more exclamatory this time, likely from dealing with the lightning around her. Penguin Ninja's shuriken closed in on Blade, the film of lightning enveloping the woman lashing out to intercept them, one of the shuriken shattering apart – though the second one managed to slip past her guard, its empowered state allowing it to remove the katana from her grip once more. A large block of ice then manifested overhead, Blade raising an arm in response, and a blast of lightning shot out from her body to shatter it into pieces, a few smaller chunks striking her on the way down, though she didn't show much care as she continued to channel the electricity.

Terrence came in seeking to reason with his opponent, much like Frisk had tried mere minutes earlier. As he spoke, deconstructing the group's situation, bits of the woman's thought process, and ways to deescalate the battle, the lightning around Blade gradually condensed around her limbs, frequently cracking with a mix of crimson and azure light.

Blade had a little more to say this time.

"I may not understand why or how you or others have appeared in this world, but it's not my responsibility to think about such things. Sumeragi's rule is my only concern. The powerful among you have no doubt been given the opportunity to peacefully join our utopia. Opportunities you have squandered. Regardless of if you surrender here, your actions will not go unpunished."

Her response was similarly unyielding to Frisk's, almost unnaturally so, and she raised each both arms – one pointed directly ahead to the group, and another aimed squarely at the lone Tracy, who for all her dueling prowess, was still considered a Mino by whatever standards Sumeragi held. Reason, albeit a decent choice, seemed to have little success on the likes of Blade.

"It is my unquestionable duty to ensure that, Adept or not, none will threaten our society's order," she added, expression cold as the built up charge in her arms became ready to fire out at her targets. "If you wish to "figure something out", save yourselves pointless pain and death from continuing to rebel!"

With that, she let the charges loose, twin streams of azure and crimson lightning shooting out with great speed and force, clearly intending to blast through anyone in her way, leaving tears along the rooftop as each streak traveled, curving a slight distance toward their respective targets.

Akira!
The masked warrior was now on the defensive, and victory seemed assured. She spoke of the rule of Sumeragi and their societal order. Not really any new information, but to see someone this zealous for genocide was... disturbing. Suddenly, Tracy started to run off!

Akira sputtered, looking back and forth between Bard, Blade and the duelist. It would be much easier for her to be able to keep the less-defensible allies safe if they stayed in the same place! And now, Blade lifted her arm towards Tracy, singling the girl out.

It was a split-second decision. The summoner was in danger right now, and the officer didn't have the privilege to assume Tracy could defend herself in this instance. As far as Akira knew, the monsters on the field right now were all Tracy had left.

As Blade unleashed her bicolored blast, Akira bounded between the Falcon and the duelist, her Legion in front of her. The Type-R held its blades up defensively in an X-shape to block the incoming damage.

It wasn't enough.

The Legion was thrown backwards, smashing into its Legionnaire as the enhanced attack impacted. The indentured chimera took damage past its threshold and was retracted into the Legatus, leaving Akira to take the tail end of the blast herself. She flew past Tracy, trailing smoke, and smashed into a giant conch shell. She stayed there, and it seemed as though she was out of this fight.

FRISK DREEMURR

It was as Frisk had figured, considering what she’d so far seen: that big blast of lightning really wasn’t going to slow Blade down. She’d been absorbing whole lightning bolts this whole fight, not really a big surprise that the ELECTRIC ATTACK didn’t pan out.

Tracy chimed in, giving more to try and talk Blade down, but the woman was stubborn. No, that was disingenuous. She was brainwashed.

Frisk swallowed, keeping her breathing steady as her magic channeled smoother and smoother. The less she had to do for the moment, the more focused she could get. Her mana was slowly filling back up, feeling almost like water being drip-fed into her... heart? SOUL?

...Lungs?

It was an odd sensation, that’s the note-worthy part.

Frisk had almost forgotten about hearing a Temmie’s voice, so focused on what was in front of her, but the next voice she heard floored her. Metaphorically, at least, she’d already been physically floored enough today, in her humble opinion.

“Hey, you!”

Frisk felt her breath practically catch in her throat as she turned her head, and saw exactly who she thought it was she’d just heard.

Terrence motherfuckin Boom.

Her mouth went slack, watching as he stepped forward to also challenge Blade, reflective orange magic forming a shell on his back, where a Temmie was sitting, licking the interior repeatedly. He had a blindfold on, concealing his faded orange eyes. His thick blonde hair had grown out considerably, and he was sporting new stubble too, a dusting of hair on his chin.

He was here, too? If he was, then certainly others were, but the fact that out of anyone that it could have been... it was him...

...There was certainly a lot more muscle there than she remembered.

T’s words didn’t get through to Blade (big surprise), and she spouted off more of the same nonsense. She wasn’t going to listen to reason or negotiation, and the air on the roof was feeling more charged than ever - that thunder kid’s attack had no doubt given Blade a big boost.

The next attack came, with Tracy being a big focus for Blade - but fortunately, some police woman stepped in the way. Frisk could envision Undyne giving her a confident cheer, always supportive of selfless law enforcement like herself. However, Tracy wasn’t the only focus here.

This seemed like Blade’s biggest move yet.

Frisk was ready again, but not THAT ready!

Thinking quickly as it began, Frisk dashed forward, sliding to a stop right beside Terrence as she raised an arm. The all-out blitz attack barreled over them and—

Ding!

In a brief flash of blue light, the entire attack on the side of Blade Frisk currently stood had immediately reversed, losing none of its speed or power as it instead came for the Falcon.

Did Frisk expect it to do anything? Uh, no, not really, maybe it would even power Blade back up as that energy was given right back to her, but if anything, it had to give an opening to move in on her, and it had spared anyone on this side of the building.

“We just need to knock her out!” Frisk called out for everyone to hear, Blade included (not like that mattered). She didn’t know what pretty much any of these people were capable of, even her ex-boyfriend, so she couldn’t think of any strategic placements for anyone. Hopefully they’d all work well as a team, but she’d need to keep her eye on that lightning kid.

Her arms were shaking still, feeling the lingering effects of the last attack she’d suffered, and while Frisk was putting on a strong front, she was feeling pretty weak at the moment.

If they could just knock Blade out...

“Any ideas?” Frisk asked Terrence as she summoned her spiked pavise, bringing it forward in preparation for Blade’s next move.

Terrence grit his teeth, listening as Blade made her intentions and allegiance abundantly clear- okay, he probably wasn’t going to be able to get through to her, at least not right now. Not with the limited information he had… if he could just pick her brain… if he could just figure out exactly what the Sumeragi were, why they thought in this awful, dangerous way… just what was the core of all this?

The huge electric attack didn’t inspire confidence that this could turn peaceful, either. This fight needed to be over, and soon- had Akira not intercepted the mean beam that had singled out Tracy, that could have ended really badly. Trying to reason with someone one-on-one was one thing, but there was a lot of people around right now.

Ultimately, what Frisk said as the two SOUL users found themselves side-by-side rang true. A non-violent solution was ideal, but if that wasn’t possible, he was fine with settling. Just knocking Blade out and formulating a gameplan from there was the path forward, then…

“Hi,” he greeted his ex-girlfriend, clearing his throat, an orange vein-like pattern appearing beneath his skin. “...is it just me, or is there just this electricity between us right now?”
Corny, but he owned it. He was proud of it.

As Frisk asked for an idea whilst performing her reversal, T knew there was a small window. He needed to hit as fast as he could.
“Plan is… uh, clobber,” he cleared his throat again, kneeling down and turtling up his limbs a little, a large orange hand manifesting beside him and grabbing onto the side of his mighty shell- this was a technique he’d used to great success before, even just a few minutes ago. With a flick of the wrist, the hand hurled him toward Blade like a frisbee in a rapid, rotating sequence- Terrence was hoping he could secure a hit, given Blade’s offensive focus at the moment, hopefully she’d be at least a bit stunned by Frisk… but this was also a much more intelligent and capable foe than the robot he’d hit this way earlier. As such, at the last second, he unfolded from his turtled-up position midair, extending his Bravery-enhanced, glowing arms outward, hoping to catch and grapple in the event of a dodge from the shell.

"Tch."

His attack was intercepted by his own allies. Why is it whenever he went for a quick solution to dispatch his enemy, his allies would try to interfere? Didn't they want to survive? Tracy, Frisk, and Bard were quick to cry and intervene, the red and black elemental now having to deal with the consequences. Despite the intervention, he didn't give them as much as a glance. His objective was clear. This changed little.

Now this barrier was erected on blade, made of electricity. Seems as though energy related attacks wasn't the way to go. Thunderstorm silently placed the sides of both of his fists together, pulling them apart slowly, red energy building up between them like unsheathing a sword. Fully separating his fists and pulling them to his sides, he stood with a pair of curved swords, which solidified into a metallic substance. Defending allies was pointless if the attacker still lived. Nobody put bandages on a victim who is still getting stabbed.

"..."

With a wicked look in his eye, he all but flashed forward with his speed, swords fully extended. Thunderstorm would wordlessly begin carving away, hacking and slashing, dashing from one side of the barrier to the other. Streaks of red from his attacks would linger for a short time, as faded blue after-images of Thunderstorm flashed momentarily from his once locations. Soon enough, a field of crimson slashes would clutter the stage around Blade, Thunderstorm appearing above.

"You talk too much."

And with that, the streaks of red would all burst, shattering each other apart like a glass mirror and Blade would be caught in the center of it all.

Mr. Miracle
Well would you look at that, the big ol' cannon still worked just as he intended! That meant that yes - in that clearing smoke cloud, it, too , had disappeared entirely back to where it came from! But wait, what's this? More machines, assaulting the pair of them with a volley of missiles! Seems like the green-haired fellow was already taking care of some of them by singing up a storm - and by storm.. well, that was more of a barrier than an actual storm, sadly. It still worked nonetheless so it truly was nothing to scoff at!

With a flick of his wrist and a graze of his fingertips in the direction of the incoming rockets, Terry acted fast - thrusting his hand forward while continuing his flight path manually, the miraculous magician attempted to take control of the remaining missiles and, more specifically, their flight path. Guiding his hand like a remote control through the air, Hagen had intended to fling the rest right on back to their casters and back into the barrels these explosives were shot from!

In the meantime though, Miracle had let go of the Bard to let them land first and come to their bearings, while he simply hovered above the rooftop by now, taking his time to assess the current situation and learn what the hell the rest of his group had been doing up here without him. Sure seems like a fight was brewing - but hey, everyone else seemed to have things handled so far! Who's to say the magician couldn't just continue hanging back some more and watch with the only intention of whisking away projectiles from his allies with his magikinetic fingers?

V2

The trek up to the top of the wall was taking... some time. V2 had plenty of time to think about things. They hadn't been able to just sit down and think since... since they arrived at the end of Violence. But now, as the V model thought about the past few hours, they realized... these people were going to hate them once they realized what V2 used as a power source. But... V1 was the same. Worse, even, with higher upkeep. But why was it working for the Sumeragi?

Had they reprogrammed it? No, that would require them to remove it's memory. But that lesser machine... it had taunted them. Flashing the Whiplash and Knuckleblaster, it's stolen trophies- the memory made the newer V model sick. So it remembered V2. So it hadn't been reprogrammed. Were they... feeding it Minos? That... made sense. But how were they getting enough? V1 needed so many humans just to survive, let alone fight at such a high capacity. How could they have possibly...

V2 didn't have time to continue this train of thought as they burst onto the scene. They took a look at their surroundings, and saw many things- Terrence and an unidentified Human woman, no older than 18, were taking glances at each other as if they knew eachother- Blaze was trying, and somehow failing, to cause chaos- V2 didn't even know what Bard was doing- it was a mess.

But the winged robot identified 1 enemy. A human, long blonde hair and blue armor, with a tough cloak and very large sword. blue energy radiated from them. Okay, probably not weak to railcannon shots. The war machine moved for another strategy, Dashing towards Blade as they opened their wings, V2 lunged with their Excalibur arm, the arm whirring as it's motors sprang into action, moving wildly in an attempt to slash Blade apart!

District Wall – VS Blade
Akira stepped in the path of the lightning blast aimed at Tracy, both the Legion and the Legionis taking the blow in full, the officer left unconscious a ways behind Tracy. Blade cast a glance in their direction, not entirely satisfied with that outcome as she prepared to fire an enhanced electric stream again with the remnants of Thunderstorm's electricity.

Before she could do so, however, the reflected attack upon the rest of the group suddenly crashed into the Adept, and she skid backwards from the kinetic energy, boots scraping against the ground. As expected, little lasting damage was actually left on Blade, the lightning once more coalescing around her body, glowing red and blue. It did force her to remain still for a moment, something Terrence was quick to take advantage of as he launched himself at the foe in a frisbee-like manner.

Seeing this, Blade ducked to allow the young man to soar overhead – but he swiftly uncurled to reach out with orange-glowing arms, managing to grab onto the woman. Terrence's momentum threw off her balance, causing Blade to fall onto her back, though not without retaliation, as the accumulated lightning around her body expanded into a field almost immediately, seeking to constantly shock him as long as he remained in close proximity.

Thunderstorm rushed in a moment later, dealing glancing blows unto the field surrounding Blade, sapping away small amounts of the electricity making it up with each strike, all while leaving streaks of crimson in his wake. It took little time for the technique to conclude, the elemental stopping overhead to unleash the power contained in each streak, bursting inward in a flash of lightning to attack Blade from various angles... and subsequently Terrence, should he stick around for too long.

While any sort of damage on the Bravery SOUL-user was yet to be discerned, the electric attacks on Blade continued to rack up small amounts of damage – though they also continued to build up more lightning for the Adept to channel. V2 lunged with Excalibur at the prone woman, who attempted to recall the discarded katana back to her, but was unable to do so. Although confused by the development, Blade was not out of options.

"Haaah!"

Instead of falling onto her, an azure and crimson bolt of lightning shot out vertically from Blade. It lingered enough to pose a threat to V2 should he commit to his attack, while simultaneously aiming to shock and blast away Terrence and Thunderstorm if they were to remain close by, as the outward electric attack also sent a shorter-range wave of electricity along the ground near the Adept.

It would be difficult to tell in the middle of such a chaotic battle, but should the more magically-inclined members of the ragtag group focus their senses, they would pick up on something else. A steadily-building energy a few floors below their current position – not fully supernatural, like Blade's own powers seemed to be, but not quite artificial either, as it didn't match any of the robots they'd faced so far, including the Mini MLRS that Miracle had destroyed a little while ago.

This was something different, and given their current position, it probably wouldn't be a good thing for anyone except Blade.

Damage? Inadequate.

Thunderstorm frowned, still airborne. Seems as though this mirror match from hell was going to require a more creative solution than a Rushdown of the same element. If only his allies hadn't stopped him earlier, it would have already been over.

V2 and Terrence were very much in the thick of it. But it seemed that Blade would capitalize on that. Build up of electricity came across Blade, firing a vertical blast of electricity! Shifting their dual blades in front of himself in an 'X' formation, he took the hit, albeit heavily mitigated, being sent back but in the air.

That barrier must be eliminated. Penetration was required.

Halting in the air, red electricity built up around him. Gripping his two swords, he compressed either end, and in a flash of red light - they had recombined to be a new weapon. A polearm. Its arrowhead was where a considerable amount of the alloy was allocated to, focusing on pure penetration. Casting the blade up above him, the sound of a thunder strike bellowed out as the polearm multiplied in a flash, a ring of the weapons appearing all around him in an orbit!

"Thunderstorm - Hailing Spears!"

He cast his hand forward, the polearms raining down at Blade and their barrier. Their speed wasn't dissimilar to that of a bullet, aiming to overwhelm and crack her defenses before she could progress the fight any further.

FRISK DREEMURR and TERRENCE BOOM

(Co-Written w/ Mokko)

Following his semi-successful attack, Terrence allowed himself to hit the ground, landing on his feet, not far from where Blade had fallen. With her grounded, it would be easier to secure a knockout right now, as long as he was able to act quick…

But he couldn’t, for two reasons.

The first being the rain of shattering red energy slashes that came in abundance, courtesy of whatever Thorn and Blaze had turned into. Terrence, being practically next to the target, wasn’t exactly in a favorable position here.

The second reason was the field of electricity that Blade began to output, Terrence feeling the initial shock heavily- before quickly cloaking himself in Orange Magic. Okay, so technically all of his magic was orange, but he’d had yet to take advantage of this specific ability so far- he leapt backward. As long as he just remained in motion, he wouldn’t have to worry about getting fried, or slashed to death. Soon, he found himself back at Frisk’s side, a bit frustrated, beginning to think Blade wasn’t the only one who needed to be knocked out here. The other two attackers were trying to kill that woman- he grit his teeth as the spears started raining down, knowing he’d been seconds from practically being in the middle of that.

“I’m three for three on getting damn-near friendly fired in this city,” he noted to Frisk, catching his breath, taking note of the ominous presence below- wondering if Frisk could feel it too. “I can’t knock her out while people are trying to kill her…”

“Ugh,” Frisk huffed in response, watching as the attacks just kept coming from either side. Someone was going to die, and it would be preferable if nobody did. Frisk didn’t expect anybody else but Terrence beside her to follow a no-kill rule, and while Frisk was ironically less devoted to it than the child of Bravery beside her because her act of killing had REAL consequences... there had to be a standard.

Genocidal maniacs probably deserved death. Frisk got an out because she could undo most of her actions, at one point in time. Did she deserve death back then? Yeah, she did, she believed that. But change was possible, and if Frisk could come back from that horror, and she had seen members of the Messiah do much the same, then the opportunity of repentance and redemption HAD to be available to someone, even if that was the hardest road to walk.

Plus, if they could knock out Blade, then maybe they could contain her and get her to spill every little secret the Sumeragi was hiding.

However, that surging energy below, coming from the device Frisk had knocked down, she guessed, was worrisome. Was this a fight to be won... or a fight to be learned from? This group had gone in completely blind, herself included, against a foe they didn’t understand with full capabilities they didn’t know, and teamwork was obviously a pipe dream at the moment...

“I’m starting to think we’re not supposed to win this one,” Frisk said, watching as Thunder’s latest attack came down upon a ready and willing Blade. Despite the damage done on her earlier, her defenses were getting stauncher and more reliable. She was adapting to them quicker than they were adapting both to her and together. “We need to think about retreating over beating her. We should get the message around so everyone’s on the same page, at least while lightning boy and the robot have her occupied. We’ll save them for last. Sound like a plan?”

“Got it. I think I have a way to get the message across to everyone… but that officer- she’s going to need some help to get out of here, I think.”

“I’ll take care of her, go do your thing,” Frisk replied quickly, looking over at the smoking heap that was Akira.

Terrence nodded, scanning around to try and detect a particular person… and without much trouble, he found them.

Hurrying so as not to let the approaching energy below rise to the top and potentially wipe everyone out, he bolted toward the Bard- the archer-dressed one who seemed to be thoroughly pacifistic, not only opposing killing, but seemingly fighting as well. If anyone would understand and support a full retreat, it’d probably be them.

“Hey- listen, there’s not much time!” he told them, looking back toward the scene of the battle. “There’s… something coming from below, and if it gets here, it’s not gonna be pretty. If we don’t get out of here, we’re all in hot water- but… everyone else might not realize that,” he swallowed. “They might need, uh, some convincing? In curiously-really-persuasive song form? Like a, uh… a retreat concert!”

Tracy was over by the unconscious body of Akira Howard, her form crumpled after that brutal blow. It wasn’t looking good, and as Frisk reached them, she quickly got onto her knees, her hands glowing a bright green as she applied healing magic to the officer. “You okay?” She asked Tracy, but given the situation, she didn’t give her a ton of time to answer that. “Listen, we’re gonna try and get everyone outta here and away from this mess. You have any creatures that could carry this lady? If this doesn’t wake her up, dead weight is tough to lug around - also thanks for that liquid metal guy earlier, it was a huge help.”

Amaterasu
The battle ravaged on. Amaterasu barked out several warnings, hesitant to join the fight while she still had an innocent on her back. With attacks coming from all directions, the sun goddess couldn't trust the solider would be safe anywhere but with her at the moment.
And perhaps not even then. Amaterasu's ears perked as she felt an absurd amount of energy welling up below. Whatever it was, it made Ammy uneasy.
They needed to leave.
It seemed Terrence and his friend felt the same. Amaterasu would run after Frisk, before circling around the group defensively. If Tracy didn't have anything, Ammy was more than ready to carry the officer. Having two people on her back would weigh her down a little, but the sun goddess knew she was strong enough.

Penguin Ninja's ability was finally successful, knocking away Blade's weapon. Nopenguin smirked and held up its sign, and a series of red x's covered the sword. No one would be able to touch or use the sword while it was covered. Blade turned her attention towards Tracy, speaking and readying an attack. Tracy could feel her hair begin to stand on end from the static electricity building. Despite it, Tracy grinned and raised her duel disk. Right as planned.

"I activate-!" Before Tracy could finish, a figure suddenly lunged in front of her. The policewoman! The interruption was enough for Tracy to hesitate, and Blade unleashed the attack. Tracy watched in horror as Akira was sent flying, and landed with a dull thud. Tracy stared at the body of the woman in horror. The battle continued to rage, even more intensely. With the combined attacks from Frisk, the blindfolded teen, V2, and Lightning-Thorn, luckily Blade wasn't able to follow up on her attack against the policewoman.

"Ohno ohno ohno." Tracy whispered, running over to the policewoman. She quickly looked over the woman. Unconscious. Not dead. How could she have let this happen? That moment of hesitation, of surprise... If that woman didn't have that strange creature...
"Oh, why'd you do that? I... I had a plan..." Tracy whispered, half to herself.

"You okay?" Frisk's voice snapped Tracy out of her own thoughts, and Tracy quickly got back to her feet and nodded.
"Y-yeah..."
“Listen, we’re gonna try and get everyone outta here and away from this mess. You have any creatures that could carry this lady? If this doesn’t wake her up, dead weight is tough to lug around - also thanks for that liquid metal guy earlier, it was a huge help.” Frisk said. Tracy took a deep breath and nodded. She watched as Frisk knelt down and... did she have healing magic too?! How many powers did this girl have?!

"You're welcome. I just couldn't let you go in there alone. Even if you, uh, seem like you can handle yourself." Tracy said. "My monsters can help if they need to. How are we going to get down the wall? Or can you fly everyone out?"
As she spoke, Tracy finally noticed the dog. Somehow, there was a dog here. One that was carrying an unconscious Sumeragi soldier. Tracy paused, staring at Amaterasu in confusion. Yet another unusual ally?

Tracy looked at the cards in her hand and on her duel disk.
"I think I can managed getting two people to safety..." She said to Frisk.

As the fight continued, Nopenguin waved its sign once more. Ice spikes appeared above the Penguin monster in the shape of an 'X', and shot towards Blade!

Akira
"Ughh....."

The policewoman stirred inside the crater she had made in the side of the conch. She wasn't quite unconscious yet, but on the verge of falling so. Everything hurt- particularly the back of her unarmored head. However, it wasn't long until some of that pain began to subside. Akira drearily opened her eyes to see Frisk pumping some green energy into the Legionnaire's body, presumably healing her. Akira's eyes then floated over to see the battle that continued to rage on.

With a grunt, Akira slowly pushed herself from the conch, shards of calcium carbonate clinking as they were dislodged. Officer Howard landed on her feet, swayed a little, and then pulled out her X-Baton. She couldn't afford to stay down- not when the rest of the team was in danger. Akira attempted to shake off some of the wooziness, with little success, but shuffled forwards all the same- unless she was stopped.

FRISK DREEMURR

Come to find out, the policewoman wasn’t as unconscious had Frisk had assumed. The healing magic managed to snap her back to alertness, and she was quick to get up - but not quick to return to the fight, not without trying. As she moved forward, Frisk pressed an arm to her shoulder to stop her. “New plan, we’re getting people to safety. We could use any help with that we can get.”

Hopefully the cop’s ears were actually picking up what the teenager was saying, but nevertheless she lowered her arm and looked back at Tracy. “Keep that, uh, card ready, we still might need it.”

Okay, this was going... well enough, so far. Blade was still occupied, and so long as the others kept their distance, that lightning kid wouldn’t be catching people in his own attacks. To be honest, Frisk wasn’t thrilled with his performance. If Terrence hadn’t been quick on his feet, she’d have a MUCH more rude opinion on the boy. If he intended to be part of a team, they’d need to have some words.

There were a few other ‘characters’ running around, like that winged robot who came out of nowhere. There was also a guy in a magician’s attire, the Renaissance Fair person Terrence was speaking to, and also a radiant canine carrying an unconscious Sumeragi soldier on her back.

At least, she hoped he was only unconscious.

Tracy Rinehart

And with a bit of healing magic, the policewoman was awake and back on her feet! Even so, it was clear that she was still feeling dazed. As she tried to move towards the fight, Frisk stopped her. Tracy took Akira's other arm, shaking her head.
"Yeah, like Frisk said." Tracy said to the policewoman. "It's okay, the others are doing a good job fighting that lightning lady. Just hold on and rest a moment, you took a real hit. I'm so sorry..."
Lightning-Thorn, the blindfold boy, and V2 all seemed to be very heavy hitters. And as Tracy scanned the battlefield, she could see that Mr. Miracle had made it here as well? Dressed as a magician, he certainly had a knack for disappearing and appearing.

Tracy drew another card, giving it a quick glance. Not helpful for this situation. Frisk had said how they were going to get down from here or retreat, so Tracy would just keep an eye on anything that could help and stay at the read. She watched the fight some more, trying to keep an eye out for weak points and openings in Blade's techniques. As she did, Nobleman of Crossout appeared once more. While Tracy watched the battle, the knight kept an eye on the surroundings, on guard for any reinforcements that should try to assist Blade.

The Bard

“Hey- listen, there’s not much time! There’s… something coming from below, and if it gets here, it’s not gonna be pretty. If we don’t get out of here, we’re all in hot water- but… everyone else might not realize that, they might need, uh, some convincing? In curiously-really-persuasive song form? Like a, uh… a retreat concert!"

The talking snapped the Bard out of the horrified stupor, as Kiwi looked to who spoke. It was the guy from earlier, who'd spoken in agreement with Kiwi right after the song - Looking over, another person who Kiwi didn't recognize from down there was helping Officer Howard. They couldn't help but overhear the person's name as 'Frisk', but figured a proper introduction would be due later.

The weirdness factor could also be handled later, after all!

"Oh, um...Right! That makes sense. Sorry, little terrified of the situation and some bad reminders." Kiwi quickly explained away the slow answer, moving to step around Terrance. "I don't think I could do a full song right now though... I can raise my voice, and hope they listen...!"

It seemed the...celestial wolf was helping. Seeing Ammy froze Kiwi in their tracks for a second, another flash of memories amidst more literal flashes of lightning that forced the minstrel out of it. They raised their head forward, to those still fighting against Blade.

"HEY!!!" It felt strange to even try and yell that loudly. "If we can please stop fighting, we need to retreat, we've done what we came here for, that's all we need~" But to be heard over the fighting, perhaps going louder was needed. It was also, admitidly, somewhat assumptious. A guess that the other person who Kiwi failed to recognize was probably the person they wanted to help. The voice carried with it a small melody, but nowhere near close to full-blown song from before. It was merely to carry the words forward, in a soothing manner.

Akira!
The teen girl grabbed Akira's arm. She turned to face Frisk, and the policewoman blinked as she slowly processed the SOUL-user's words.

"...Right."

Akira nodded, showing that she understood, and then reached into one of her pouches. She took out a pill, which she popped into her mouth. A medicine that would boost her natural healing process as well as produce adrenaline to keep her going. The RAVEN captain rolled her shoulders and let out a quick huff, letting the medicine take effect before taking action. She was still in pain, but it was an improvement. Kiwi blurted out the plan, but it was lacking in authoritativeness. Akira didn't think twice to follow up on the Bard's call. Her training kicked in as she hollered,

"HEY! YOU HEARD HER! FALL BACK! THAT MEANS YOU, BLAZE AND THORN! IT'S AN ORDER!"

The X-Baton in her hand turned into a blaster, which she leveled towards the Adept.

"Go! I'll cover you!"

If their allies agreed, Akira would start firing upon Blade. If they didn't, she would hold her fire out of the fear that she might accidently allow one of the more bloodthirsty ones to land a lethal blow. Either way, she was ready to cover the others in their escape. She might have been a little hurt, but her Legion healed ridiculously fast from physical damage while in its dormant shape. It would be practically good as new when it came out again, and it was ready to do exactly that whenever necessary.

District Wall – VS Blade
While the group gradually agreed on retreating, Blade was kept at bay by a new onslaught of projectiles at the hands of Thunderstorm. Polearms began to rain down on the Adept in quick succession, focusing more on piercing than they did on shocking, which proved more effective than the elemental's previous moves, as the electric field around her rapidly dispersed against the attack, and Blade dashed to the side with a burst of speed.

Unable to recall her katana, she was forced to rely on mobility and her armor for the moment, one polearm after another crashing into the ground beside her – though it wasn't long before one of Thunderstorm's spears finally cut into the back of the woman's left arm at a shallow angle, piercing through the armor to stab into the flesh underneath, Blade wincing slightly. Another polearm fell to intercept her current trajectory, though she was quick to stop in her tracks, sticking her other arm out to instead grab the weapon out of the air, any residual lightning doing little damage to her.

It was at that moment that Nopenguin's ice attack came in, and despite the weapon embedded into her limb, Blade dashed headlong into the ice spikes, thrusting her newly-acquired polearm forward to unleash a burst of lightning, shattering the ice spikes and sending half-melted pieces backward. The lightning she unleashed didn't stop either, continuing to move forward to crash into Nopenguin in an attempt to destroy it. Regardless of that outcome, Blade quickly whirled around to point the polearm in Thunderstorm's direction, firing a focused bolt of lightning at the pragmatic boy to, at the very least, keep him busy.

Both Kiwi and Akira then exclaimed their plans to retreat, one more melodically than the other. Blade twirled the polearm in her right arm, shooting a glare at each the small groups spread around the rooftop, lingering on the Bard for slightly longer than the others with a noticeable scowl. For some reason, she seemed to find their words in particular almost... revolting?

"Ugh... You are not going anywhere!"

Quickly, the Adept jammed the weapon into the ground, and numerous streaks of azure lightning began to surge out wildly from her position, shooting across the battlefield. They mainly remained low to the ground with no clear target – Blade was looking to shock everyone around and complicate an escape that much more, buying time for the surging energy beneath the group to continue its charge, its signature becoming much more apparent now.

It would burst soon, no doubt about that, and it appeared to warrant a lack of reinforcements, as Nobleman of Crossout's search showed that no soldier or machine was coming from the wall's interior to assist the enforcer.

Watching intently as his polearms had fired around Blade, Bard erupted into a nervousy 'song' amidst it all. Thunderstorm couldn't help but cringe, giving a passing glance at them.

Singing. Was that really all he could do? They should not have jumped in if that's all they could contribute.

But eyes up, the fight continues. Lightning was hurled his way. Swiftly positioning his hands horizontally in front of him, a broadsword had formed in a flash of red, the lightning bolt striking the dense weapon, but sending him further away and into the air as a result.

Seems as though Blade was getting desperate, seeking to focus on the grounded targets with her next move. With that, Thunderstorm saw a moment of opportunity. It would have to be fast. They couldn't stay on this roof much longer with whatever was cooking down there.

Focusing on speed, he lunged over, making a beeline towards Blade. His goal? Turning himself into a projectile. He would tackle Blade off of the wall, stabbing into her with a high speed maneuver that would appear as Blade was smote from above by an angered god.

FRISK DREEMURR

Well... not exactly the plan... but still mostly according to it. With a great deal of energy regenerated in her sparing moments of respite, Frisk comfortably materialized her spiked pavise, reinforcing its structure. Getting everyone off the building safely could be tricky, but it didn’t matter for a few of these people. The robot and ‘Blazenthorn’ if she’d heard Akira right could comfortably fly. The energy she could detect within the radiant dog gave Frisk the strange impression that she wouldn’t need to worry about it, either. That could have been Chara’s detective influence on her, too.

Everyone had gotten up here somehow, so surely they had means of getting down.

Blade, however, wasn’t thrilled at the development of the others, declaring they weren’t going anywhere and unleashing an omni-directional attack. Frisk recognized it, not because she had seen this exact kind before, but because she had seen a fair number of foes resort to this when at the end of their rope, desperate, or both. It could also simply be that Blade couldn’t focus on every single person at once.

Frisk saw an opportunity in that anyway, one where she and the others actually could bring the Falcon down - but that would leave other people in harm’s way, those who couldn’t take as much as Frisk could. One bolt had nearly taken out Akira, whereas Frisk had taken a few. Tracy had those cards that summoned penguins and metal shapeshifters, but if she had to guess, Tracy couldn’t take that much, either. The singing bard Terrence had gone to probably couldn’t take a lot of direct hits either.

There were too many variables here, too much possibility to consider risking their lives in favor of taking down a single enemy.

No, that wasn’t the answer here.

Moving quickly, Frisk slammed the blade of her pavise into the roof before her, lodging it there as it soaked in one of the wild attacks, while she then summoned a series of thin barriers as strategically as she could, trying to keep up with Blade’s wild attack. Most of it was quelled, each barrier breaking to the blasts but managing to force them to sputter out, sparing almost everyone from the attack.

Almost. The robot and thunder kid didn’t get such a luxury, mostly because Frisk doubted they needed the support, but also because they were low priority to the teenager, and she hadn’t gotten to the attacks coming their way in time.

“We’re running out of time...” Frisk told Akira through grit teeth. “We need to go, now.”

Mistered, not Miracled
So far, it seems everyone was holding up well without his intervention. All the more reason for the magician to just hang back and spare himself the continued mental exhaustion that came from having been teleported into another dimension after having just done his daily rounds. Unlucky for him however, it appeared Hagen begun to pick up on something rather peculiar, stirring deep below and approaching ever closer. Before he could do so, his green-hatted friend already sang up their concerns and the policewoman soon followed the advice of the vocalist.

"Oh no, you don't!"

Hagen suddenly shouted out from the backline as he flew overhead of his allies. From his gloved fingertips, out shot several bolts of prismatic magical energy that clashed against the azure electricity (or at least the strays and stragglers that remained), both equally cancelling each other out. It was time for the Mister to live up to his name of Miracle - and he had done so by initating the first step of his plan: Taking his top hat off and turning it upside down, before thrusting it into the air. From the opening within, several smoke bombs flew out with the aim of carpet-bombing the general area in a veil of smoke - just large enough for his intent of teleporting all of his allies as far away from the current incoming danger as his Vanishing Act could take them, including himself.. assuming nothing would intercept the smoke bombs in the first place, that is.

The duelist stayed close to Akira and Frisk, carefully watching the fight. Blade unleashed another powerful attack, and in a combination, Frisk and Mr. Miracle used her powers to protect everyone. Frisk's powers were something Tracy had quickly come to expect, and she watched as the teen created energy shields to block the attacks. Mr. Miracle was more of a surprise! He was flying now, shooting bolts of energy from his hands! These weren't just magic tricks, this was real magic!

No reinforcements for Blade yet. Mr. Miracle unleashed a barrage of smoke bombs, and Tracy quickly lost sight of her allies. Coughing, she stepped forwards as the smoke cleared- And nearly fell into one of the many holes on the wall! She hadn't been close to this at all, how-?

Another thing Tracy just had to roll with. More concerning was this strange sensation she was feeling coming from below them. Like the build up of static electricity, it was causing Tracy's hairs to stand on end. This wasn't Blade causing it, it was something else. That strange machine that had been suspended mid-air? Frisk's sudden desire to retreat made more sense suddenly.

Tracy looked down the hole as she drew a card. She could see the machine a few floors down, still floating. A build-up of this much energy couldn't be good. The others were keeping Blade occupied, so Tracy would help out here. She had drawn just the card she needed for this situation.
"Nobleman of Extermination." Tracy said, placing a card on her duel disk. Next to her, another ghostly knight appeared. This one was much larger than the Nobleman of Crossout, brutish in appearance and carrying a giant sword. The second knight looked down to Tracy and gave her a nod, letting out a small grunt. He looked down at the floating machine.

With a sudden burst of speed, the giant knight flew towards the device! It's massive sword swung through the air in a silver blur right toward the machine. Just when it seemed like it would strike the device, a strange energy barrier appeared around it. But this would not stop the Nobleman of Extermination. The spirit's massive sword smashed into the barrier, shattering it into a thousand pieces while leaving the machine itself intact. The Nobleman frowned, but with his attack finished, he slowly faded away.

The spell hadn't destroyed the machine, but instead removed a yet-unseen energy barrier. It wasn't what Tracy had wanted, but she intended to take advantage of this opening to the fullest!
"With a face-down monster... Special Summon Penguin Squire..." Tracy muttered to herself, placing another card on her duel disk. One floor down, another Penguin Monster appeared. It had light blue feathers, with yellow feathers like hair on its head. It wore silver armor and a white cape, and was armed with a sword! Tracy pointed to the machine, and the Squire nodded. It flew down and slashed at the machine with its sword!

"And finally, Penguin Ninja!" Tracy said to herself, flipping up the monster's card on her duel disk. Penguin Ninja appeared in a cloud of smoke next to Terrance. Giving the teen the Penguin equivalent of a cocky grin, it conjured a pair of ice shuriken and threw one after the other. The first one flew towards Blade, curving in mid air to strike the polearm she held. If it struck, it would knock the weapon out of Blade's hands. The second shuriken curved through the air and flew down the hole Tracy stood next to. It flew straight towards the mysterious machine, and if it struck it would explode in an icy blast that would send the machine flying!

With all the chaos, the Metal Reflect Slime reappeared. It took form near Tracy, staying in its normal, spiked slime form as it waited for an attack to head towards her.

Terrence Boom
Terrence watched as the Bard spoke their verse, hoping it would be enough to get the message through to everyone that they needed to get out of there- it was louder than the previous tune, and hopefully its reach would be sufficient even in the midst of all the chaos. Fighting against a high-ranking Sumeragi was important and noble and all, but something terrible was going to happen to whoever stayed behind, he could feel it, the dread rising as that energy kept rising, threatening to overwhelm his senses…

And work it did- between the Bard and Frisk, the officer was quickly on-board with the plan to retreat, and another voice to call out to the very intense combination that Thorn and Blaze had created certainly wouldn’t hurt.

“Great! That was great,” he offered to the Bard, taking a moment to catch his breath. He’d pretty much been using magic constantly all the way from his arrival up until right now, and while he was far from totally drained, he was also far from a hundred percent- not to mention, he was coming off of a seriously rough couple of days, the scars on his body stinging at him a bit to remind him of their existence.
But, well, he’d been intending to fight the Emperor today, so it wasn’t like he could complain too much.

Much less fortunate than the effectiveness of the Bard’s song, was the fact that Blade made her lack of intention to allow such a retreat very clear, continuing to evade and eat attacks, while also firing one of her own off against the entire rooftop, though Frisk’s intervention put a halt to the majority of it... once again, T had to assume Blade was really close to the top of the pecking order when it came to the Sumeragi, because not a single opponent he’d taken down on the way up was capable of like, even one percent of this.
The sheer value of being able to defeat, and potentially question a foe like this could not be understated. Retreating was ideal, but it also left a lot of opportunity on the table- opportunity that wasn’t worth someone getting killed, but opportunity nonetheless.

He wanted to make the rounds, and be sure that everyone else had a way out of here- he was even willing to offer turtleback rides, if it came down to it- but then, there was the smoke. It didn’t matter that much to Terrence, he couldn’t technically see his surroundings to begin with… but something was… off. This obscurement hadn’t come from Blade…

Penguin!?
Penguin throwing projectiles!?

Terrence was only aware of it for a moment, and then it was gone- or, more accurately, HE was gone. The spot he was standing on now was… different from the spot he’d been standing on before. How was that possible? Some kind of magic trick? He was standing at the other side of the rooftop now, not only that, but right on the edge of it! One more step, and he was going to completely fall, two hundred feet down… yikes…

…Although, that might not be such a bad thing, come to think of it. It wasn’t like it’d kill him, especially if he used the wall to his advantage… and it was probably the quickest way off of this rooftop. He was reminded of the magic-shielded piggyback ride he’d given to Kyota before, and he had an idea.
“Anyone who wants to go down- grab on, and do not let go!” he offered to any ally who was looking to take a ride, his shell glistening deeply with great magical density. He knelt down, taking a deep breath, ready to throw himself over the edge- along with anyone who took him up on his offer.

“hOoooLD on TIGHT!!!” Tempura chimed in from his backpack.

Akira.
“We’re running out of time... We need to go, now.”

"So go! I'm right behind you all!"

Akira hissed at the teen in a tone a smidge harsher than she intended, as distress was starting to set in. A combination of magic had quelled the attack, which the policewoman was thankful for, as she wouldn't have been able to stop it herself. However, there was little time to feel thankful, as the Thunderstorm had gone in for the kill.

The Type-R Legion roared to life and rushed forth, towards Blade. It wouldn't reach her in time. However, Akira, with her enhanced blaster, aimed ahead of Thunderstorm. The weapon charged up for a split-second before firing an empowered shot at the elemental, which would erupt into concussive energy upon contact. Words would only go so far, and she had to put her foot down.

Before the Sword Legion could come within striking distance of the Adept, a strange smoke enveloped her, and whisked the RAVEN captain away. She was now further from the Falcon than before, and her allies were scattered. Each new development in this fight opened up a new can of worms. Bard was nearby, and the others were preparing an escape... but Tracy was even closer to the machine than before, and trying to attack it!

Blade was now between the duelist and the officer, but as the smoke was still clearing, she couldn't see where the others had ended up...

V2

The machine had been teleported. Not far, but still moved. It ground to a halt and listened. When it got it's bearings, it rushed to where it heard voices and sounds of battle- and found various people near a hole in the wall, escaping. V2 turned to Blade, dashed in, fired a shotgun blast, and dashed out, before calling to their allies.

"I'm last out!" V2 declared, preparing to fight Blade 1 on 1 long enough for others to escape. "Everyone else, go! Go! Go!" And V2 swapped to the Nailgun, firing a blast of nails at Blade while sliding unpredictably, hoping to damage the armor over time with constant pressure.

FRISK DREEMURR

While the plan was slowly coming together, more disproportionately than Frisk would have preferred, Miracle proceeded to perform a magic trick that mostly complicated matters, as smoke spread over the roof, and those caught within were suddenly transported around at apparent random.

Frisk suddenly found herself at the edge of the roof, and rooted herself to the spot to regain her bearings, a little confused. What had been the point of that, they were still present! She turned and looked around, catching a glimpse at Terrence slipping over the side of the building.

Had he been hurt? Would he be okay? Her ex shouted something, but she didn’t quite hear it over all the chaos.

Frisk took off immediately, only catching what was going on around her in her peripheral. More and more of the same, everybody seemingly wanting to be the last man out. Not out of some form of selfishness or need to prove oneself (jury was out on thunder boy), but simply because that was just the people that had risen to Frisk’s aid in this instance.

The energy below them began to spike, and as Tracy poked the bear, the air seemed to ionize. The hairs on Frisk’s arms began to stand on end, her own long and flowing hair appearing to almost start lowing with how much energy had filled the area around the machine.

It was going off at any second.

The robot’s call for everyone to go spared Frisk from having to make the call herself. The radiant dog leapt for Tracy. The policewoman went for the bard. They’d be right behind, Frisk was sure of it. Miracle was doing his own thing, and the robot was occupying Blade alongside thunder boy, who would hopefully get the memo sooner than later.

Confident that the stitched plan was in motion, Frisk leapt over the side of the building after Terrence, seeing that he was heading straight down for the ground. Tempura waved at Frisk excitedly as the teenager fell after him, peering through the back of the semi-transparent shell on T’s back.

Tucking in her arms and straightening herself, Frisk shot down toward Terrence, catching up quickly thanks to the fact that they hadn’t been falling for long at all. The building’s own gravity on the weightless Child of Bravery was pulling Terrence closer to the skyscraper with each second, not to mention the ground was fast approaching.

The ride down was a lot faster than the trip up.

Frisk had to hope the others had methods of safety down, and that Blade wouldn’t pursue them. They were vulnerable like this.

Reaching Terrence, Frisk grabbed onto his shell, fingers tucking under the lip tightly. “hOOMaN! hOLd oN tiGhT!!1!” the Temmie exclaimed.

“That’s the plan,” Frisk replied as jets of light suddenly jettisoned from her shoulder blades. The red magic spewed out like flames, spreading out to form massive wing-like structures. The forming of wings wasn’t as simple as general magical constructs, as wings served a more physics-based purpose. They had to be manipulated by the world, by things like gale-force, gravity, and velocity. It was a more complex magic, and Frisk had far from refined it. The wings were far from being on Katherine’s level, she couldn’t properly fly still, as it was limited, but at the speed they were going, and with her practice in gliding, this would be no trouble.

As the wings solidified into a shimmering force, extended out a good twelve or so feet on either side of Frisk and glowing a bright and brilliant crimson, Frisk pulled Terrence closer as she angled her wings, allowing the both of them to curve away from the building and swoop into an upward curve with a wide arc.

After the initial pull upwards, Frisk would level them out into a fairly leisurely glide over the tops of surrounding towers as she glanced back to make sure other people were making it away safely. If not, she and T would just have to turn around. There was no sense in leaving people to a poor fate.

“You okay?” Frisk called down to Terrence.

Amaterasu
Amaterasu watched as Blade attacked with several electric projectiles, which her allies swiftly began dealing with. Soon enough though, smoke would obscure her vision, catching the goddess by surprise. While her sight was compromised, Amaterasu's nose told her that everyone had suddenly changed locations, as if their positions had been warped. It was strange, but the energy rising from below was more pressing.
The sun goddess could smell that Tracy was closest, and the girl was busy using magic summons to attack. With the others already moving out, Amaterasu hurried towards the duelist. Without any warning, Amaterasu would charge through Tracy's legs, knocking her over so she could land on the wolf's back. Assuming both the duelist and solider were secured, Amaterasu would then rush over the rooftop's edge, right behind Terrence!

District Wall – VS Blade
Tracy's Nobleman of Extermination managed to shatter the translucent energy barrier surrounding the machine underneath, bursting with a bright blue flash of light. Her following attacks from Penguin Squire and Penguin Ninja rushed toward the device, which by now was crackling wildly with purplish energy, and as the slash and shuriken neared, part of the built-up energy jumped out at the two, blasting the projectile apart and likely doing much the same to the newly-summoned monster. It was glowing ever so slightly less, but its charge was no doubt almost complete, an orb of light converging at the top of the machine, charging the air itself in droves.

Meanwhile, after dealing with Blade's large-scale attack (and some sudden repositioning at the hands of Miracle), the group began to make their escape. Removing the polearm from the ground, the Adept pointed the weapon at Terrence as he called for the others to join him, charging up lightning to blast at the young man, when Thunderstorm suddenly charged into her – sort of.

Akira's blaster shot had intercepted the elemental, knocking him off course to instead graze Blade's side. He still carried tremendous speed with him, enough to send their opponent skidding all the way to the edge of the wall, though she managed to stop herself by driving the polearm into the structure. Thunderstorm wasn't as fortunate, however, and he sailed right off the edge and toward the slums below, out of the picture.

Blade's focus returned to the retreating Terrence, but when she pointed the weapon in his direction, he had already jumped off. She aimed at Frisk instead as she moved after him, but the masked warrior's weapon was narrowly jerked aside by an ice shuriken, leaving the blast of lightning to fire elsewhere, and a shotgun blast followed right as she turned to face the source, forcing Blade to block by twirling the spear in front of her, electricity coating the polearm as a majority of the bullets bounced off, a handful denting the weapon and bits of her armor.

V2 swapped weapons, calling for the others to leave, and a lightning bolt fell onto Blade as the Nailgun's shots closed in. The lightning remained tethered, enveloping the Adept completely, causing each nail to bounce off, though the goal of keeping her busy was still accomplished, as Blade stayed rooted to her spot. There was a twinge of frustration in her mostly-obscured expression. That and... unease? Given the situation, it was likely due to the overflowing energy underneath. Even Blade knew that time was up.

"It's a shame I could not extinguish your entire rebellion myself here and now, but it does not matter. Whether by this cannon or otherwise, you will soon be punished for your crimes. That is for certain..."

Cracks began to form along the rumbling rooftoop, all glowing brightly with a magenta light.

"...for it is the order of Lord Demerzel. Let this be the end of you!"

The lightning bolt burst in a flash of light, sending azure electricity outward ten feet, and once the light dissipated, it revealed that Blade had completely vanished.

At the same time, the wall's rumbling worsened, cracks growing wider and glowing brighter. After a few tense moments...

BOOOOOM!

An enormous pillar of dark magenta energy burst from below, piercing through nearly the entire width of the structure to stretch into the skies above, parting the clouds in its way. The beam expelled great amounts of heat and light, even causing some of the debris around it to hover in the air briefly, held in the hair electromagnetically. It persisted for several seconds, a loud distorted cry echoing throughout its duration, before finally... it ceased.

Undoubtedly, anything that had been in the beam's way had been reduced to ashes.

Tracy's eyes widened as the machine began to spark and shake. The energy was so violent that it destroyed the Penguins before they had the chance to follow through with their attacks. Yet another mistake she had made. Tracy looked towards Blade, wide-eyed with fear. The machine was far too unstable. Tracy looked at her duel disk, trying to figure out a way to-

"Whaaugh!" Once more, a creature moved beneath Tracy and threw her onto its back. But instead of the Tumbosaur, this one was a large dog. The same one she had seen moving all about in the battle. The dog turned and rushed towards the edge of the roof, and Tracy was left with no other option than to trust this creature, or whatever plan Frisk had! With a whimper of fear, Tracy clung tightly to Amaterasu and buried her face in the dog's fur.
