Open CoDA - (A Superpower RP) Still Accepting New Arrivals

Aaron hadn't been expecting Diego to dodge his counter in such a reckless, albeit affective way. He had little time to process what had occurred as the rocks were launched at him. Thankfully, the boys instinct had kicked into overdrive, the hurdling shrapnel posing a serious threat. He tucked his right hand in close to his body, falling into a step the opposite direction as he did so to gain momentum, all the while activating his black symbol, a dragging force curving around his body, causing him to quickly begin spinning the opposite direction of his step, avoiding the faster rock by a few centimetres.
However, Aaron's human level durability wouldn't allow him to perform the action more than once without becoming incapacitated by the dizziness, so he was forced to stop, wide open.
"Damn." He cursed, only moments before the rock bulleted into his left shoulder, causing him to hurdle back towards the earth behind the two, his body slamming flat into the ground with a loud crash.
Aaron's eyes widened as the air was sucked from his body, while simultaneously, a terrible pain had begun coursing up and down his left arm.
The boy was quick to react as usual, attempting to stand up right after any big hits, his body swaying slightly as he stumbled to his feet.
A large red gash was now visible on his left shoulder, which was burning with pain from the impact, blood had started running down said limb slowly, coating his forearm in an intricate web-like pattern of blood that dropped from his fingertips.
"Enough now!" He shouted, holding his left palm put while bracing said wrist.
"Come on!" The young man pleaded internally, his eyes clenching shit as he concentrated all his willpower into the white symbol. Diego was moments away from reaching Aaron, when finally, a massive shockwave was released from the boys palm, causing him to blow backwards from the sheer force. The soft earth in front of him was eviscerated, a deep cavern forming where his blast would hit, its diameter almost nothing in comparison to its sheer depth, which had be the almost eighty feet, the bottom was filled with dust, rocks, and hopefully Diego.

Sky rolled his eyes in a surprisingly teenlike manner. "You do know we're underground, right? There's no way I'm leaving your little home, and I couldn't destroy any of your precious metal bits even if I wanted to, yeah? So chill." Sky was beginning to regret giving these two any sort of authority. "I'm not that volatile."

A voice in your head is enough to make anybody jump, and Echo was no exception. Her mouth opened in a silent squeak of surprise, and she let what was just said sink in, her skin turning pale. A tree? Can I even do that? What if I do? Will I die? Can I get rid of this? Her panicked train of thought was promptly cut off by Celia sticking her tongue out and giggling. Echo smiled, administering a gentle slap across the dryad's face. "Don't scare me like that again. I'm still not sure how this power works-" She said without thinking, realizing a second later what had just happened. "Oh my god, I can speak to you! You have no idea how long it's been since I've had a conversation that wasn't on pen and paper, thank you."

Ryker grit his teeth as once again, his attack failed. So now it was time to step things up a notch. If psychical attacks weren't working, he would have to use another type of attack. He slid past her, before turning around to face Erin. "Time to give you something else!" Ryker gave a smile as he focused the energy in his hands. It was small and a pale yellow. But a small orb of energy was forming. "Energy Crashing Wave!" He clapped his hand together, crushing the energy. And it exploded, in a yellow burst all directed towards Erin. Arcs ripped apart the ground as they flew towards Erin with incredible power.

However it didn't do nothing to Ryker. He felt pain from the impact surge through his arms, and his entire reds were turned red by the impact. If he hit any harder, he would have broken his arms and hands.

Erin used a different method to avoid damage. She flew out of the attack's range. She knew full well that an attack like that would deal plenty of damage to her, and perhaps even break some bones if it hit. She became tangible, then used another sonic scream, aimed for Ryker.

Of course she dodged it. Crap, and he went all out. So he would need to go with another strategy. He increased the output in his legs and jumped above the blast. However there was a minor problem. It shredded his pant legs. However he jumped over the sonic pulse, and focused some more power into his fingers. In mid-air, he focused his aim towards Erin. And he flicked, hurting his own fingers. But it created a small shock-wave that rushed towards Erin. And that was the diversion. As the small shock-wave rumbled towards Erin, Ryker pushed himself forward, and focused more energy into his entire arm. And with a powerful energy build up, he went for a powerful punch. "Power Level - Maximum Overdrive: Mega Punch!" It was a new move he had been working on, with a lot of power behind it. His fist was glowing with lines of red energy. And he threw the fist. But stopped last minute in the air.

But still, the amount of damage to his arm was fierce. To the point, where it broke his arm. But still, there was a massive shock-wave of energy from above.

This time she made no move to dodge. Quite the opposite, actually. In mid air she turned around. As she descended she started to spin. And as she spun she let out a sonic scream.

Damn it! There was a counter set in motion. But as the energy collided, Ryoka gave a signature grin. While she could only spin so fast being human and all, and so there would be gaps between the sonic echoes in one direction. But for an extra boost of power, he did a backhand with his hurt hand, sending another, much smaller attack to push his earlier one forward. The sonic waves pounding against the attack wouldn't hit it rapidly enough to completely bring it apart, allowing it time to regain it's strength in that moment it didn't hit it individually.

However because he swung his broken arm, he felt a surge of pain from that right arm. His entire arm was purple, similar to what happens when you jam your finger, but on a much large scale. His arm was in rough shape. But he was still in this. He focused in his left arm, and threw another punch, at maybe 75% the power of his earlier punch. His left arm lit up with pain, as his nerves sent rapid signals up to his brain. But he would survive.

Erin saw her attack countered. In midair she flipped right-side-up. She floated where she was. Erin became intangible just in time not to get hit. She was not oblivious to to the damage he had suffered. "H-hey, you okay?" Oh wait, that may've been a dumb question.

Seeing the other students spar, Toby had a hard time containing his excitement. "Hey Suzy, what if we spar? I can go easy on you and you can figure out a way to beat me!" Toby asked the only student so far who talked to him.

(@SS-I Never I don't know if you still get notifications for this or not since I lost notifications for this but just in case.)

(As a note, you understand that the attack gave out about 9,000 Newtons originally, so when converted and factoring in the decrease in power due to the interference, it still should have hit at about 700 lbs of force. It takes about 687 lbs to break concrete that's an inch and a half thick. And that's just from the one attack. So I don't think you would have been able to block it with just throwing your arms up. Just a note I have.)

Ryker grit his teeth. "I'm fine. A little damage isn't nothing new." Ryker said with a grin. While working on using his power, he had discovered that the stress that Cyclone had caused, made it harder for him to control how much he used, power wise. And without stabilizing and planning on how much to use, he ended up hurting himself every time due to a larger amount of power than his body was capable of. And then he would break. He had only been using it in small amounts, and this was pushing his body into new grounds. His attacks were getting stronger, but way more harmful to his physical body. He landed, and felt something warm dripping down the side of his head. He reached out and touched his ear and looked at his fingers. They were stained red. The noise had done some damage to Ryker's ears and with his adrenaline and his moving around, he hadn't noticed his ears bleeding.

"I got you NOWWAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"

Diego's cry of satisfaction proved incredibly short lived as just before his fist could deliver a clean strike he had been blasted back by what was unarguably a powerful shockwave that devastated anything that it came into contact with. Serenity stood up and as she gazed into the nearly ninety foot that Aaron generated took notice of the monstrous power Aaron had.

And much to Aaron's delight, at the bottom of the pit stood Diego himself. The fact he was alive and conscious was impressive all on its own but his steel skin had faded as he lacked the ability to maintain it after the sheer train Aaron subjected it to. Not only that but his body had been covered in various bruises from the force that managed to punch through the hardened steel defense and deal noticeable damage as Diego was slow to get up.

But Serenity knew Diego, and he was quite the stubborn one, so him getting up even in his condition was never in doubt. Though the matched appeared to have no doubt itself, and that did not favor Diego as she knew he wouldn't quite even a spar even if the battle was a lost cause. So Serenity waited to see what Aaron would do but make some preparations of her own. Just to be safe.

(Post editted.)

Erin's arms hurt like hell at this point. The stress of her descent had reopened wounds from a previous fight. "No, we both sustained too much damage here. We're both going to the Nurse. I don't care if I have to drag you there."

Aaron's face was still stone cold as he peered down into the hole.
"You wish to keep going." The young man questioned Diego's actions internally, slowly raising his right hand to the boy buried several feet down.
"Diego, this match isn't over until one of us concedes." He muttered, a fierce wave of gravitational energy beamed the now de-transformed student from the hole, and into Aaron's grasp.
"It'll hurt a lot more this time..." He added, revealing his burning white infinity symbol that was now pointed at Diego's lower abdomen. Whiles the boys words were cold, his eyes showed sorrow, Aaron didn't wish to continue, but he refused to disrespect Diego by walking away, he wouldn't start holding back now.

"Alright, let's do it!" Rebecca said with a grin as she decided to start off small for her fight with Kendra. As she produced a trio of fireballs and shot them toward her winged opponent at high speeds.

Rebecca was not delusion enough to assume this would work, though if it did she'd be pleasantly surprised, she simply wanted to test the waters and get a feel for what Kendra could do so she could form a strategy to combat her style & abilities. Kendra had many unique abilities, so Rebecca needed to take this with caution and be prepared for anything she might have in store for her.

Now this was one of the few instances where normally Kendra would use her air manipulation powers to either extinguish the flames or redirect them. But she had promised the Headmaster that she wouldn't use her air manipulation powers. She was on good terms with him and intended to keep it that way. Mimicking a motion she'd seen on a TV show, she created a wall out of earth. This was intended to block the attack.

"Whaa-!!?" Suzy exclaimed as Toby asked if they wanted to spar, a blush of embarrassment appearing on her face. Suzy had been to caught up with everybody else's sparring match, analyzing each student and their battle tactics, she forgot to take into consideration her surroundings.

Though Suzy wanted to spar, she barely had any extra practice since her spar with Diego, who seemed to be a lot more powerful since then. Could Suzy really keep up, even if Toby holds back? Well, if Suzy hoped to pass the exams, she needed all the training she could get.

"Alright, I'll do it," Suzy said, as she got into fighting position. Her powers may have not been useful in any kind of combat, but she knew a thing or two about hand-to-hand combat. Hopefully, Suzy wouldn't have to punch a solid wall like she did with Diego, she could feel that stinging sensation from last time.

"Yay!" Toby jumped into a fighting position as his voice went from bubbly to dead serious. "I will refrain from using my powers and shall stick to hand-to-hand combat, you may use your powers as you see fit." Toby bowed before running at Suzy, pulling back his right fist in an attempt to hit her. There was a single thought going through his head; Don't hurt her too badly, you promised you would hold back after all.

Rebecca grinned a bit, even as her fireballs were blocked by her Earth wall, as she gained instant inspiration as she moved her palms behind her and used a burst of flame from each to propel herself to the wall at high speeds. Rebecca then scaled up the wall and jumped over it as she fired two fireballs down at Kendra.

Rebecca aimed to see if a bit of creativity and attacking from a different angle would lead to a better result for herself.

"Ah see! I knew you had a soft side. Thank you. No idea why Oliver...well, has his opinion of you that he does." Candice said with a smile to Sky as he granted them their little pet project as a concession, something she had expected would be more of a struggle. So this was a pleasant surprise to have said the very least.

"Oh, Oliver? Oh, no, he's a whole other story. The thing flies and, well, he's not underground in a place I can't do anything to him. Along with the fact that he's a holier-than-thou dickhead, that is." Although, admittedly, he probably has a few reasons to dislike me. Sky grinned to himself, a few fond memories (at least, to Sky) coming back to him

Finding inspiration from the same show as before, she used magic to draw water from a few nearby clouds. Using an identical motion to a waterbender's, she extinguished the flames. The girl then used another movement to whip the water towards Rebecca. More precisely, at Rebecca's face.

"Don't waste your time. He won't give up even when defeat is certain. The match is over, you win."

Serenity had decided that she had seen enough as she went to place her hand on Aaron's shoulder. Diego had struggles against Aaron's grip, as he tried to recoat himself in steel as well as prepare a quip in response before Serenity decided to step in since she knew Diego was not one to quit. Diego cast a glare at Serenity who simply gazed into her friend's eyes with a stern expression.

"Curse me today, but you'll thank me tomorrow." Serenity replied as she waited to see Aaron's response to her call to stop this.

Aaron glanced over his shoulder, listening to Serinity's words without releasing his grip on the top of Diego's head.
"Diego....don't think any less of me for this." The injured boy spoke hesitantly, releasing his grip on the metal man whilst taking a step back.
"It was a good fight, we should go at it again once we've both made improvement's. And between us, I can really see some serious enhanced strength underneath that metal skin." He added, holding a fist out towards the boy with half a smile slapped across his face.
"Its a shame, id like to take on Serenity, but I'm no where near 100%, guess it'll have to wait."

Suzy, showing off her great flexibility, was easily able to jump over Toby, completely dodging his punch. Suzy then flipped around, facing Toby once more, and aimed to kick him in his right hip as that was the side he decided to punch with and it would've been more open for an attack. Though, Suzy seemed to have a look of disappointment on her face

"Use your powers, Toby!" Suzy exclaimed, "How am I going to learn to be a great hero if I can't even fight someone at their fullest! Don't hold back on me! I don't care if I lose! This is to see what I'm capable of!"

Suzy felt...humiliated. Sure, she was nervous about fighting someone with a power after what happened to her battle with Diego, but she knew she wasn't going to be able to improve if she didn't push herself. It didn't help that the exams were coming up real soon, and Suzy didn't have any kind of super-combat training most of the other students had. Everyone's power was so useful for combat, yet Suzy had to rely on her normal physical strength in order to fight. She was...envious, but she couldn't let that weakness stay for long! Suzy swore she will become a hero and that she will make her parents proud!

"If you insist." A wall of wind surrounded Toby, blocking the attack and blowing Suzy away. "I will still refrain from hurting you too much." Toby said as he thrusted his palm forward. A single sickle-like projectile flew at Suzy, and anyone could see that it would hurt a lot if someone got hit by it. "Don't be afraid to use your power, Suzy! The mind is both one's greatest strength and weakness!"

"Agh!" Suzy exclaimed as she got blown away by Toby's wind. The guy seemed like a natural as he casually flicked Suzy by just using a single move. Though, Suzy seemed to gain her composure and was able to land on the ground unscathed. Though, when Suzy got up she could see some sort of projectile launched towards her. Suzy then tried to flip away from the attack.

But being barely able to dodge it, Suzy's face got scratched from it, leaving a pretty big scar on her cheek. Suzy then wiped her cheek with her hand, and was able to notice the blood that came out.

Toby then told Suzy to not be afraid to use her powers, that the mind is a strength and weakness, but, even though Toby meant well, Suzy couldn't help but feel frusturated. That's what she had been trying to do! She wants to use her powers, but no matter what she came up with or when she took the risk, she couldn't possibly win.

Suzy then remembered when Toby told her to possess someone and force them to give up. Well, Suzy didn't want to do that. It wouldn't work like that if she fought a villain, so Suzy never wanted to force someone to give up. But that wasn't the only problem, the host that Suzy decides to possess, their spirit basically roams in the spiritual realm as the spirit has to go somewhere. So, the host's spirit could easily possess Suzy's body as well, causing a little body swap and cause all kinds of havoc.

Besides, Suzy already used her possession against Diego, and it wasn't even able to work. She still lost the fight, even though she gave it her all. And then there's Toby, Suzy didn't want to assume to much, but currently Toby had an amazing power. He had so much versatility with his wind. He could use it for long range, short range, and even defensive attacks. What could Suzy really do with her ability possess people and talk to ghosts?

Suzy just kept silent, however, and charged Toby. She then aimed to do a jump kick at the wind manipulator.

"Gale Wall, rise!" The wall of wind left Toby and surrounded Suzy, blocking her attack in the progress. "I must say, your determination is amazing." Toby intentionally let his guard down in an attempt to let Suzy use her full power. "Do you see why I originally refrained from using my power?"

"No, I don't!" Suzy exclaimed, "This is exactly what I wanted!" Suzy then tapped her foot unto the wall, amd started flipping on it as she rose to the top of the wall of wind. She then dropped down from the wall, and aimed for a drop kick on top of the wind manipulators head.

Toby whistled. "Not bad, but how about this?" Toby pushed his palms forward and four sickle projectiles homed in Suzy, he seemed confident enough to not create a wall. "Such determination, it is admirable." Toby muttered to himself as he watched his attack go towards Suzy.

Ryker gave a grin. "This is fine. I can take worse." He said, as he stretched his arms. If it wasn't for the smile on his face, you would have been wondering how he was still conscious. "This should somewhat quickly. But if you wanna surrender, I'm okay with taking a win." It was weird. Normally Ryker wouldn't act like this. He wouldn't go this far in a training match. But everything was cloudy in his head. All he knew was that he had to keep fighting. "Now, don't blink!" He said, letting his arms fly once more, sending more shock-waves towards Erin. There was a smile on Ryker that just seemed eerie. The bones in his arms screamed with agony as he made his attack. But he kept going. "Soon, they're won't be anything left." he said, with a wide smile, showing his teeth.

"Something ins't right," June said aloud as she watched her brother. "Sure, he loves to fight but this is too aggressive." She noticed as she watched from afar. Most of the matches were intense, but weren't as self-destructive. What was her brother playing at?

Erin once again became intangible. The attacks went right through her. "Has he gone mad?" Erin whispered to herself. She decided to attempt to end the fight. She landed on the ground and leaped over Ryker. She snatched his hair as she went over him. She became intangible, causing her to go through the ground. Ryker, on the other hand, wouldn't be so lucky. There was nothing to stop him from hitting the ground.

Rebecca landed on her feet but frowned as she saw the incoming water whip. Thinking quickly, Rebecca held her left arm in front of her as she generated a some flames as they appeared to take the form of a shield as she used it to block the whip.

"Not bad, but let's see how you handle this~!" Rebecca called out as she formed what appeared to be a flame sword as she then charged ahead. The intent to get close enough to slash Kendra and use the shield to block possible attacks she might throw at her to try and halt her charge.

----------
"Something's wrong." Aura said with a tone of concern as Kevin nodded in agreement as Ryker's entire attitude seemed to flip on a dime and his newfound aggression and demeanor startled his friends as they wondered what was going on and if they should intervene.

Though a certain other voice in Kevin's head seemed to like what it was seeing. And made that much clear.

Ah, so your friend decided to grow a bit of a backbone and really take it to this brat. I might have to reconsider my opinion on him.

Shut up your commentary is not needed!

---------
"Oliver is like that with most people, but I'm sure as you get to know it better you two could possibly work enough to at least tolerate each other's company. Who knows maybe you'll be friends." Candice said, ever the optimist as there had been little doubt if Oliver had not been on Kevin's shoulder and overheard that comment it would have figuratively & literally blown a gasket.

Kendra soon saw what was in store for her. Using her powers, she first changed from her current casual wear to the armor from her era. She then used her powers again, this time summoning her sword. Kendra was confident that her magic blade could easily take on Rebecca's fiery one.

Suzy was able to dodge all of the wind sickles unscathed, but it was a really close call for the sophomore. But, Suzy could tell Toby was holding back on creating his walls of wind. Though Suzy hated the fact that he was holding back, his over-confidence might be able to let her win.

Suzy, instead of aiming for the drop kick, landed on the floor and charged at Toby as fast as she could. She aimed to grab the wind manipulators shirt and slam him unto the floor while she flipped.

"Sudden change of attack, change of plan." Toby thrusted his palms to the ground and flew into the sky. "When this fight is over, may I give some advice to improve your tactics? Because it could use some work." He aimed his palms at Suzy. "Forgive me, but you told me to not hold back." Toby's voice seemed to have some remorse in it as dozens of sickles appeared and flew at Suzy.

He soon landed, and as the sickles got closer to Suzy he cancelled the attack. "No, I promised them to not kill someone." Toby said to himself as he used his wind to propel himself forward to engage into close combat.

Clang!

Kendra's guess would be correct, as her magic blade not only blocked the flame sword Rebecca generated but caused the flames that made it up to flicker and weaken. A full on sword fight against this blade would be far from advisable, so Rebecca aimed to try and throw Kendra off as she would try to bash her with her flame shield in the face. If this blow managed to connect, Rebecca would try to disarm Kendra with a sword strike to her wrist to try and get her to drop the magic blade which would in theory give Rebecca the advantage.

Diego panted a bit as he was released, taking a moment to slap his own thigh in frustration over getting beaten in this fashion, but as he glanced up he saw Aaron's fist as he decided to be the good sport and deliver the fist bump to him.

"Yeah, good stuff. You are scary strong." Diego admitted as Serenity clearly saw that Aaron needed time to recover from his spar with Diego and was not one to challenge someone who had gone through a grueling effort.

"We will have our go at it when you are well rested and ready." Serenity said to Aaron as she showed her patience even if she wanted to see how she'd compare to Diego when dealing with Aaron.

Kendra was thrown back. In an attempt to counter the shield, she attempted to use a creation magic she'd learned from a friend. A swarm of magic ladybugs trailed by a light red light started to created a shield. Before they were halfway through, however, the ladybugs sparked, then faded away. As a result, the shield they were creating disappeared. "No, no, no! Not now!" Kendra said in a panicked voice. Just seconds later the flame shield of Rebecca hit her face, which sent her flying back. Kendra recovered in time for the strike to her wrist to connect. She winced in pain and dropped her sword, much to her dismay, giving Rebecca a slight advantage.

Suzy was about to get herself ready for the attack that Toby unleashed, but was confused as soon as the attack seemingly seemed to have disappeared out of nowhere. Suzy then faced Toby, but before she unleashed another attack, she instead put her stance down and looked at the wind manipulator.

"Why...why did you stop your attack?" Suzy asked, but instead of asking in fury, like last time, she seemed to have asked it more sympatheticly.

"Because the last time I used it, it wounded someone so badly that they had to kept in coma to survive. I promised my parents and my uncle to never let that happen again." Toby stopped his attack and his serious voice started to crack up, sadness flowing through the cracks. "That is why I stopped the attack, no one deserves to be hit by that unless there is no other choice."

He shook his head and made eye contact. "But right now we are sparring, explanations can come after the fight." Toby said with newfound seriousness as he threw a punch, the air around it moving uncharacteristicly. This will still cut her, but it won't put her in danger.

Even though the fight was important to Suzy, as it would help her get stronger for the exams, she had to set her priorities straight and see what was more important, Toby's conflict.

"I'm sorry, Toby, but I can't do that," Suzy said, before her eyes glowed a radiant purple and she fell on the floor unconscious, dodging the punch that came her way by just a single second.

Suzy was now in her ghost form, and she knew what she had to do. She entered the conscious of Toby, not completely possessing him but she was still in his body.

"I will not continue this fight if it means that you're conflicted with every move you make," Suzy said inside Toby's head, "Either you tell me what's going on, or I'll just stay in your head until you decide to tell me."
