[OOC- It seems as if we've traded places: Now I'm horribly sick (although not with the flu) ]
BIC-
As Grey hurried off towards the Pokémon center, Mike remained idle for a few second before remembering his own over stocked belt. Hmmm, there's Charmeleon, Bulbasaur, Squirtle, Pidgeotto, Caterpie and Ekans... counted Mike to himself, Well, I'm not over my limit, but I should free up some space on my belt. He tapped Brock on the shoulder.
"Hey, I'm actually gonna do the same as Grey." he said to the Gym leader, "You two can keep going though. We'll catch up to you!"
He then turned and rushed back to the Pokémon center, trying to catch up to Grey, as well as get done at the Pokémon center before Brock and Taylor had managed to get too far away. After all, Mike didn't really know his way around these parts and he was still missing the map he had lost in the Viridian forest.
As he hurried down the street with Charmeleon at his heels, the large building that was the Pokémon center soon arched up in front of Mike. He still hadn't spotted Grey though, and deducted that the younger trainer was already inside. Man, Grey is quick. I thought for sure I would have caught up to him by now Mike thought as he approached the sliding doors.
He was about 50 yards away when suddenly, Grey stepped out of the center, clearly carrying less Pokéballs with him than before. He wasn't heading back towards Mike though. Mike was just about to wave and call out to Grey in order to catch his attention, but something stopped him: There was a kid following Grey.
Mike quickly forgot about going to store some of his Pokémon and instead started tailing the strange kid. He looked to be about Mike's age and seemed pretty arrogant, at least from what Mike could see from his viewpoint behind the kid. He carried himself in a way that Mike really didn't like; It looked like he thought he was better than everyone else.
The tailing continued for a number of minutes until finally, Grey stopped and looked around, as if searching for something. Aevin froze in place and Mike casually took a few more steps, trying to close in on him. Suddenly, Reiu turned to face Aevin and spewed out a slight bit of fire as a warning. It also spotted Mike, much to Mike's surprise considering the distance between them, and nodded very discreetly. Mike returned the nod and kept approaching.
Aevin went into somewhat of a panic. Being spotted was the last thing he wanted, thus leading him into a frenzy to find a hiding spot. From any observer's viewpoint though, it looked like Aevin was being chased by Beedrill; his movements being sporadic and zigzagging. This of course drew more attention to him. Realizing this, Aevin simply stopped, turned around and walked away, hoping that Grey hadn't seen him. Instead, he found his eyes locked with Mike's. Mike smirked slightly at the panicked dance which Aevin had made and then quickly approached him not bothering to be discreet, seeing as he too now was spotted.
Dang, there's the other one! thought Aevin, trying to remain calm. He shoved his hand into his pockets and silently observed the approaching trainer, acutely aware of Reiu's growling from behind and approaching footsteps.
[OOC- Didn't remember if Mike and Grey are aware of who Aevin is, so if they do know him, please let me know and I'll fix it. And sorry for the shortish post, but I'm feelin kinda crummy (Not that that's an excuse considering the huge post you put out while being flu:d)]
