Private/Closed FairyTail- The Newest Mages

Jasper grinned." I'm glad you're on board for killing it but it could create massive damages to the mountain, avalanches destroying farms. It's better to seduce it first so it doesn't create damage. I don't want to spend the money I earned on repairs thank you very much." He sighed and jumped onto a hell horse." Oh yeah." He looked down at his still topless body. He grabbed a part of the hell horse and ripped it off. The hole closed by the surrounding fire as Jasper moulded the chunk into a jacket." They don't fell pain, which is lucky I guess." He smiled.

The democracy won, big suprise." I already showed 2 of my secrets to them. Way to go imbecile!" He cursed to himself.

Armatyle hopped onto his hell horse, he walked slowly over to Jasper and said "you know, we can work out great as a duo, dragon slayer and demon slayer and we both control fire, what can go wrong?", his tone cheerful and a bit mischievous, he had a wide grin on his face which made Escor a bit uneasy

"These two become a duo the guild is doomed..." Escor thought to himself as he examined his hell horse, he road onto it and made himself comfortable as he looked at the others to see if they are ready to leave

"Hm? Oh, I'll be fine, Verity. No worries," Cerise said in response to Verity's concern about her magic energy.

Cerise was itching to get going now that it seemed as if everyone was prepared, more or less. She had some water, she had those herbs that Vall had given her, she was still under the effects of his spell... A bit of guilt set in as Cerise thought of just how much these people were helping her. I have to help them back... I will help them back when I can, I'll see to it, she confirmed mentally.

Vall and Jasper were having a mini-discussion about how to deal with the Blizzardvern, the method that Jasper sought after involving... seduction? Cerise scratched her head, not remembering much about that being explained. It might've been, but the thought slipped her mind as she chimed in. "Uh, pardon, what is all this about seducing the thing?" Cerise asked, not stuttering, but still a bit quiet.

She swung both arms behind her back inconspicuously and pinched herself as a punishment of sorts for not speaking up. Idiot! Okay, I'm on a team now, and these people are my teammates. They can talk to each other perfectly fine, so it's my turn to step up and learn how not to be so... quiet. With a mental self high-five, Cerise zoned back into reality, still standing beside Verity as she waited to hear from Jasper.

Everyone was set.

Or so it seemed in Verity's eyes. The four who were riding were mounted onto their horses, and Verity almost fainted in shock as Jasper ripped away part of his horse, but she recovered physically as she saw that no harm came to the animal. With a twinge of surprise and nausea, she changed her gaze to Armatyle, who had sparked up a conversation about fire-based Slayers, followed by Escor getting himself situated.

With a tiny sigh, the Snow Mage supported herself by reaching behind her and gently placing her hands on the crest of the fire horse's hindquarters, and then proceeded and swing her leg over it's neck to return to a normal riding postion. The thought arose that she would need to steer, but from what Jasper said earlier, he seemed to have complete control over the animals. To test, she gently squeezed the horse's sides in a soft gesture to urge it forward, but it didn't move. Frowning slightly at the uncalled for disappointment that came from the fact that the horse wasn't a horse of nature, but rather of fire, so as she suspected, it wouldn't move much like a wild horse would.

Verity wiped off her frown and gazed forward in the direction of Mt. Hakobe. "Jasper, mind telling our horses that we may need to get going?" She asked, thinking of their mission. Cold... It was exhilarating to think about.

Jasper rolled his eyes at Cerise." We have to seduce and calm the Blizzardvern so we can kill it quicker and easier. Obviously." He smirked and turned to Verity." Ok. Mount Hakobe, no stops." He looked at the horses." Dentin koyobinge, on consa."

The fiery horses accelerated at an amazing speed of 100 mph, nearly 60 mph faster than the fastest horse alive." Hold tight!" He yelled in excitement." Hey Armantyle get a load of this!" He flicked his finger up and the horses those 2 were on turned into living fireballs." I can't go hotter than this or Verity... and everyone else will melt!"

Vall insantly started picking up his pace, following everyone else. He doubted he'd catch up, but it was that or riding the hell-horses. He was debating whether or not to drink one of his poltuices, but decided against it. "Slow down abit. We can't all ride demon fire horses!" He shouted. He was fast running out of magic, not having expected the strain it took to keep up with them and keep the spell working for two people. He notified the others. "Couldn't... we use... a travel pace?" He said, out of breath.

... ... Well crud.

Cerise cursed under her breath as she took off, following Vall. His energy boosting spell was working wonders, letting her run faster than before, but she still had trouble keeping up. "Geez! What are these things going at, 100 miles per hour?!" She yelled from behind Vall, still running as fast as she could. "Why are they going so fast?!"

Her hand hovered over the water bottle that she had brought, half because she didn't want to drop it, and half because she might soon need it. Vall's magic energy was dwindling, and with that, the spell would go as well. Speaking of the druid, he suggested that we all use a travel pace rather than booming ahead. Cerise agreed, but didn't make any effort to say it. She wanted to conserve her energy for running for the time being.

Armatyle cherished the heat emitting off of what used to be a hell horse and is currently a giant ball of of flames, "if we are to be a team we should stick together" he noted after hearing Vall and Cerise complaining about hos fast they where going and he had to admit they where going quite fast.
Armatyle looked back at Cerise and mouthed "if you get exhausted and need a ride I can always as jasper to lower the heat for you to ride on lovely" followed by a wink

The horses slowed the pace to a measley 40mph." This isn't fun anymore." He sighed, grabbing a bit of the renewable flame." Armantyle if you need food just grab a peice, they don't feel pain and kind of enjoy it. Tastes good too!" The flames began to regrow and each time they did Jasper took a little more, not too much.

The ride was pretty smooth so he sighed." Anyone got something to do? Like a pack of cards or something?" He sighed." Nevermind." He grabbed a small peice from the horses neck and grinned as the ball materialised into a pack of cards." These don't have any heat to them so don't worry." He flicked his finger and a small, floating table appeared next to the horse he sat on." It's great for dragon slayers because these horses aren't transport they are living so you don't get sick. I'm thoughtful aren't I?"

When she said they needed to be going, she was absolutely sure they could make it there with plenty of time going around, maybe, 25 miles and hour max on these horses, and considering they were not actually a physical living things (maybe more like celestial spirits?), Verity had estimated that 25 miles and hour would be reasonable.

When they took off, she should have held on better. She expected it to be swift, but 100 miles a hour?

The wind whipped at her face, and the staggering speeds burned her eyes so she had to avert her gaze and dig her face into the horse's mane, which was very frightening for the moment she thought about it, considering that she disregarded the fact that her horse was literally made of fire and it came back to her as she rushed to hid her face. Only moments later, however, the thrill got to her head, and Verity grinned with silly exhilaration.

Although, as the wind yanked her hair out behind her, Verity thought she heard the ghost of Vall and Cerise's voices complaining of the speed. Subsequently, the horses slowed, but the speed remained far faster than the average horse could manage. The Snow Mage looked back at Vall and Cerise; her gloved hand resting gently on the horse's neck was subconsciously releasing snowflakes, making her somewhat curious about her friends' wellbeing and other about how the snowflakes were moving. Jasper said something that Verity didn't catch, but she caught Armatyle mouthing something. She didn't hear all of it, but she thought she could see him form the words 'exhausted', 'ride', and 'lovely'. When she had first been diagnosed with frostbite on her hands, she had also suffered from a terrible head injury that came from falling afterwards, leaving Verity to have to learn sign language and mouth reading to communicate for a while.

"Armatyle, we've been a team for around an hour and you're already flirting with Cerise?" Verity called to him, smiling goofily to express that she was just teasing.

Cerise caught up sufficiently to the horses and stayed at around their pace. She was stable enough to be able to focus on other things aside from running, and the first thing to focus on was Armatyle. He mouthed something to her, something that involved riding the fire horse and the word "lovely," along with a wink. That wink turned Cerise's cheeks slightly pink, but what really pushed her over the edge was Verity's comment about Armatyle.

"Armatyle, we've been a team for around an hour and you're already flirting with Cerise?"

And with that, Cerise went from 0 to 100, shy and reserved to a bumbling and flustered fool with a face as red as a watermelon. A sudden burst of speed brought her to Verity's side as she jumped up on the horse, holding on to Verity's waist and hiding her face with eyes closed. "I-I'm covered, th-thank you for the offer, b-b-but I must decline!" She replied to Armatyle in a louder tone than she had hoped.

Cerise's brain was all over the place. First, there was the whole flirty Armatyle fiasco going on. Then there was the tsunami of confusion sweeping over her, particularly related to Verity and the horse that she was now riding. The horse wasn't making her motion sick, as Jasper had said not to shortly before she hopped onto it, which was nice and confusing simultaneously. Also, it wasn't hot. In fact, she felt no major increase in temperature when she hopped onto it. The temperature difference lied in Verity, however. She was cold, as to be expected from a Snow Mage. A shiver ran up Cerise's spine as she held on, but aside from that momentary discomfort, she didn't really feel bad physically.

I'll just get used to the cold. That's all. Hey, being with Verity on the horse will help adjust to Mt. Hakobe, too! Win win, I guess.

Thinking about Verity, Cerise remembered that she didn't give any warning or indication of her jumping onto the horse. "O-oh, uh, sorry for the sudden arrival, Verity," she mumbled into her back, eyes still held shut.

Whoops.

"I-I'm covered, th-thank you for the offer, b-b-but I must decline!"

It sort of seemed that making that remark made Cerise even more embarassed than she already was from some gesture that Armatyle had made. In a quick flash of speed, the Water Dragon Slayer jumped on to the same fire horse that she was riding and held onto Verity's waist. It was surprising at first, but the shock was momentary, and the surprise melted into sympathy, and then molded into introspection.

Verity herself had never had any romantic feelings towards any other human with the exception of the Ice Mage Gray a long time ago, nor had any other Mage expressed any romantic feelings towards her, so in conclusion, Verity knew that, while she may be the older of the two females of the team, she had no romantic experience to help Cerise. The Snow Mage had been oblivious to the previous encounters with Armatyle in particular, so in her eyes, that was the first time it had happened. She shook her head. Why was she even brooding over this? 'Gosh Verity,' she thought to herself, 'what happened to not thinking things through around people?'

Then the introspection. Was that comment acceptable? Perhaps it wasn't, but what mattered was what happened in result. Cerise was riding with her now, but that really didn't bother Verity at all. "Hey, sorry for that. I can get a bit too comfortable sometimes." She mumbled, half to herself, but mostly to Cerise. The Snow Mage prayed that the Water Dragon Slayer could hear her over the rushing of the horse.

"O-oh, uh, sorry for the sudden arrival, Verity,"

"Totally don't mind. To be honest, it was getting a little bit lonely up here with such a distance to travel." Verity said in response, this time a little louder. She narrowed her eyes yo judge how far they were from the mountain. Judging by their speed, they were covering remarkable grounds in such a short amount of time.

Armatyle chuckled at the reaction, a bit annoyed about the instant turndown but not much, he took note of what Jasper said about being able to eat little pieces of the horses if he wanted, "well that is.... somewhat convenient" he thought as to ripped of a piece of the horse and inhaled it, the heat rushing through his body

Escor was holding onto his horse tight with one hand and his bag with the other, his scorpion stinger ponytail flailing in the wind, he looked at the girls and said in a voice loud enough to be heard "I've been on a few low class missions with the purgatory dragon slayer before and it turns out he is quite flirty, I have one thing to tell you two........... Brace yourselves" before looking back at his bag to make sure it's still with him

Cerise got decently comfortable in her current position physically, and after hearing Verity's apology, she sat up a bit more and gave her a forgiving close-eyed smile that was accompanied by a quick "It's okay!" Mentally speaking, however, she was still quite all over the place. Dr. Escor had just warned herself and Verity about Armatyle's tendency to be, quote, "quite flirty," end quote, and now Cerise was left to formulate a plan of... well, for lack of better terms, avoidance. She always had a hard time with interactions, let alone romantic ones.

Oh. Lovely. Armatyle's gonna be super flirty all the time, thanks for the warning, Escor... HOW AM I GONNA DEAL WITH THIS?!

Despite her attempts to strategize, Cerise failed to come up with an efficient strategy, and squeaked in defeat - quite loudly, much to her embarrassment.

Even better! Now, not only do I look like a flustered idiot, I sound like a mouse! Where's the nearest window, I need to throw myself out of i-... oh my...

It was at this moment that Cerise decided to for once open her eyes and look at how close they were to Mt. Hakobe, their destination. Being so close to Verity made her adjust a bit more to the cold, but Mt. Hakobe looked scarily, intimidatingly frigid. She wondered how her water would hold up against the below freezing temperatures at the base of the mountain, let alone closer to the top. Thankfully for her, those thoughts of Mt. Hakobe and the mission drowned out those of flirting and of Armatyle. What she wasn't aware of was her tightening grip around Verity's waist, involuntarily trying to gain as much warmth as she could (ironic, considering Verity was inherently cold) before arriving at Mt. Hakobe's base. Nevertheless, she stared off in the distance, thinking about how she would be able to use magic while in the cold.

Escor watched as they got closer to Mt. Hakobe at high speeds, a feeling of uneasiness washed over him but he pushed it out with thoughts of the mission, after all if they wanted to succeed on their first mission they had to be prepared

Ok we will be seducing a blizzardvern, but of what gender? Assuming that it wasn't mentioned then either Jasper has forgot to tell us or the Misson hasn't mentioned it at all

"Hey Jasper! Do you know about the gender of the Blizzardvern? If not we need to know which of the girls are gonna seduce it if it's male and which of the boys if it's female" Escor called out to the devil slayer as he pointed out the fact that they don't know the beast's gender so they will have to be ready for either scenario

"I've been on a few low class missions with the purgatory dragon slayer before and it turns out he is quite flirty, I have one thing to tell you two........... Brace yourselves"

Flirty? Good Lord.

Verity smiled to herself, mocking her thoughts. It wasn't a big deal that Armatyle was flirty, after all, it might just save them sometime. With a sigh of what was to come, she shifted around for a moment, trying to get a better view of the mountain. It was definitely nearing. The thought excited her tremendously- Snow! Natural Snow! But one thing kept her from shaking in joy; her new team. Sure, they had two fire mage's and a freaking Snow Mage, those two and herself would be fine, but then we had a Celestial Spirit Mage, a Sea King Dragon Slayer, and a Nature Mage of some sort- Verity couldn't quite recall the specifics of Vall's Magic.

She heard Cerise squeak or make some noise of the sort, and Verity identified it as the result of a thought process similar to the one she originally thought of; with the topic of Armatyle most likely. Verity couldn't help but hold back her giggles. "Oh come on Cerise, surely you could wash out the Purgetory Dragon with your magic." She joked, "I'm the one with more of a threat- snow and fire don't mix very well." Verity continued to giggle in good humor, but then she slowly settled down to continue her ride.

It was a few moments later that Verity began to feel Cerise's arms constrict a bit tighter around her waist. It puzzled her. 'What is she doing? Surely she's not trying to get any warmth out of me.' Verity thought. Although, a thought arose from that thought process. 'Were drawing to the mountain soon, so would it be kinder to adjust them to the cold now?' She asked herself.

As Escor asked Jasper something, Verity polished up her plan. "Illusion Magic, Memory Deception, Gentle Snow." She breathed, barely audible over the sound of the horse's hooves. Snow Mage's generally have the power to change the air's temperature in order to sustain their snow magic, so slowly Verity willed the area around herself (including the areas her comrades were in) to drop a degree or two, and to gradually continue decreasing. It was coldest by Verity, and she almost felt bad for Cerise, but then steeled herself and told herself that it would help them in the long run. Finally, the illusion began. Due to its lack of physicality, it didn't feel like real snow, actually, it didn't feel like anything at all. So, Verity made the snowflakes disappear around the horses, playing it off as the heat of the horses melting them. It may be easy to see through, but Verity hoped that she could help in some way.

Vall could feel Nut jumping around trying to catch the snow. "I wonder if he realizes it isn't real?" He thought. Still, life could've been worse. For one thing, he could finally breath. Even with magic, keeping up with the fire demon horses was hard. He glanced at Armatyle. He had seen Armatyle flirting with Cerise, but being from a community where that sort of thing didn't exist, he had no idea what to do in a situation like that, so he kept silent. "Again, destroying it would be a more tasteful and quicker solution. Seducing it will waste time, and if we lure it away, it won't destroy anything." Vall said, moving to stand with Escor and Jasper.

The first thing Jasper thought of when they had Aries was of how big the mountain was. It had been a couple of years since he had been here and he was quite disappointed. Snow had melted away and the mountain now stood lower than before.

" Alright everyone we need to head halfway up the mountain. To the farmers." He pointed and dismounted." Let's go!" He didn't look behind and ran, swirling paths spiralling to the top." He he so fun."
