Now Marcus seemed deflated, he wasn't lying, but he felt that he had his heart punched out and stomped on right in front of me. What is wrong with me, first Tessa, then Jane, now James, is there any of my friends that don't hate me? He sat on a bench and his grin soon became a frown.
"See you around then," Gina told James as she turned to Jane and Lilith, "Is he angry about something?" She overheard the conversation with Marcus and James, it seemed to be turning for the worse.

"Thanks, but that doesn't change the fact that James basically hates me now, you should go talk to him, I can't, I made everyone mad," Marcus told Jane in a somewhat happy tone though he still felt guilty, The sight of you acting like that sickens me, the words echoed in his head and he decided to leave. Gina sat down and decided to mind her own business, besides Gamma, she also had an Eevee and a Geodude, which she was training to evolve into a Graveler.

Lilith shook her hand nervously. Hand holding always made her uncomfortable anyways. "Well, I'm gonna go get a bite to eat. Anyone wanna join?" She lent out her invitation. It felt a bit awkward between her and Jane now. She was plunged into a daydream of sweets and pizza momentarily while she waited for everyone's response.

James went inside the library, spelled ‘libary’ and grabbed some mythology books. He read about sinnoh and Hoenn. Stuff about how Arceus created the universe, the Rayquaza people, and the Regis. He enjoyed skimming through the pages and looking at the pictures, and eventually calmed down. “It was just a joke anyways. Nothing to be worried about,” he thought happily. He went outside with his hoodie on, and found his umbrella. He began using it again and started walking around town. James even got a fishing rod from a retired fisherman. “Maybe I’ll find that Gina girl,” he thought.

"Well, okay! Guess it'll be only us and our Pokemon." Lilith whistled and Brad came running, tackling the brunette down. Lilith laughed and pet the Poochyena happily. The wolf began to glow, and suddenly a Mighteyena was licking Lilith's face.

"Good job on evolving." She patted it's head. "Where should we go to get out of this storm? Probably isn't safe to stand out here any longer."

"Okay..." Lilith said. She was a little hesitant, as the restaurant was not a hop, skip, and a jump away. Lilith was kinda thinking about going to the cafe just down the street, but she figured the faster they went the better.

"Well, let's go!" Lilith began an energetic sprint towards the diner.

James decided to give it another go, but this time not to get depressed about it, he promised himself. He took out his phone and called Jane.
“Do you wanna go on a date? If Lilith is there I’ll date her, too,” he joked. He was walking across the bridge, hoping he could find them in the other side. “Wait what if she says yes. Wait why did I get mad when she said no before, but I don’t want her to say yes. Wow I’m really dumb it’s actually funny,” he thought while smiling.

James blinked and slowly put his phone back into his pocket. “Welp guess she said no,” he said as he continued walking down the bridge with his umbrella. He reached the other side of town and saw it was a bit more busy. He went inside of a pizza place and ordered two slices of cheese, to which he ate. By himself. Alone. Sitting in a one seat table. After James finished he got up and threw away his styrofoam plate and left. He sat down on a table outside with an umbrella covering him. He was mostly looking at a website on his phone where he could role play, but occasionally glanced at his surroundings,

Dan had broken off on his own from the others, mostly because he had become annoyed with the implication James had made. But decided it was wasted effort to get mad over it, as he recalled his Riolu and Swinub before he and Snivy headed towards Zormy Town. Dan got his team healed up at the Pokemon Center, and naturally decided to have the nurse look after the egg just to be sure nothing had damaged it when James drug Dan across the cave.

While Dan waited, he had wondered what James was doing. Or anyone, for that matter. In spite of his desires, it seemed circumstance caused him to separate from that group more often than he would have liked. Perhaps Dan needed to work on his approach, or he'd be traveling this region alone which while not intolerable he preferred the idea of moving with friends.

Marcus was walking in a storm, he didn't mind, on fact he stared up at the rain until water got stuck in eye and he decided to stop.
"I don't get it, how so I screw up so badly that I make two of my good friends hate me?" Marcus asked himself as he noticed that Eric was gone. Meanwhile, Eric was secretly following Jane to Zormy Diner, he was visiting Kono, he just had to figure out how to ask. Eric went outside and got a price of wood, he used his claws to make an image of a Snorunt, he then tapped Jane's leg and showed her the image, hoping she would get the message.
Gina also went to Zormy Diner, it seemed that everyone was meeting there and besides, she was hungry, she noticed a Sneasel with a carving but she ignored it.

"I dunno. Can we just get inside, please? I know James is conflicted because he feels like he needs a romantic partner, maybe because of Tessa and Marcus. I wouldn't get into a relationship though, I'd rather hang around my Pokemon and just chill, ya know?" Lilith said, casually leaning against the framework of the rustic building. The rain had dampened her clothing, but nothing could dampen her spirits.

Eric smiled as he was glad that Jane could understand him, and as such he waved to Kono before searching for something, notably flowers. Marcus wanted to apologize to Tessa, he had hurt her, but he had no idea what to do, but it was tearing him up inside. Why do I care so much, I mean she is my friend, but I think I care for her in more ways than one, I think I have some sort of crush on her. As the azure haired boy realized his feelings, Gina was thinking how to introduce herself and also see this James, whoever he was, so she could tell him to calm his hormones down because she did overhear Jane and Lilith's conversation.

James stood up and put his phone away. He saw Marcus near another diner and decided to walk up to him. "Hey Mark. Sorry about earlier, forget what I said before man. You're a great guy," he apologized with a smile. "Man, why did something like this even happen in the first place? Was I always this angry? Did I just bottle it all in?" he thought. James sighed and went inside the diner for some protection from the rain. He gestured Marcus to come inside as well.

Marcus only nodded, his apology was good enough, but he still had something on his mind.
"Hey James," Marcus asked with an uncertain tone on his voice, "Can I tell you something?" He didn't really trust Jane enough to tell her, Tessa was out obviously, and he didn't really know Sid-Roggoth, Ike, Derek or Lilith to tell them, so that just left James.

James sat down and looked and Marcus. “What? You like Tessa or something?” He asked with a smile. He released his Pokemon, though they didn’t cause any problems to the diner. James just thought maybe they are hungry, after all they just fought through a tunnel full of wild Pokemon.

"Wait how'd you know, and I don't think I know myself," Marcus replied flustered, he knew his friend wasn't some kind of psychic type, so how did he know.
"I know I hurt her somehow, I asked if I could call her Tess, she didn't seem too happy with that so know I need to know how to fix it," The azure haired boy explained to his friend as Marcus let out the remainder of his Pokemon, which consisted of Xeta:an Ivysaur, Venus:an Azumarill, Solar:a Larvesta, Zoro: a Zubat, and Sandile, who hasn't gotten a nickname yet.

"Oh, like a childhood friend." Lilith walked into the restaurant with Jane.

She studied the menu for a few seconds before deciding. Lilith had a major sweet tooth, so she decided to get dessert first. "I think I'll get a Vanilluxe Split Ice Cream." She decided.

Budew jumped onto James' lap, while Rosetta walked over to Sandile and Burn waved at Xeta. James pretended to fall down with his chair, which scared Budew, but he quickly got back to normal and gave a small laugh. Then he turned to Marcus. "Listen man, you and Tes are like the most obvious ship. You've been hanging out with just her for a while now, and pretty much everyone noticed when you acted like a couple and blushed and stuff. Just say sorry to Tessa, I'm sure she'll forgive you," he answered.

"I guess, I just hope she accepts my apology," Marcus told James exhaling heavily, he was glad he got that off his chest, now he just had to apologize to Tessa, maybe even ask her out, No that's too direct, I mean if I did that I might as well kiss her on the lips, which also something I want to do, Marcus thought as he watched his Pokemon. Xeta smirked when he saw Burn, he waved back and acknowledged the Monferno as a friendly rival. Sandile cried out a greeting while smiling.

Lilith shrugged. "Okay then." She sat down at a booth, across from Jane. Brad laid down for a nap, Caliborn snuggling up to Brad tentatively, enjoying Brad's new, comfier figure. Diana sat on the seat next to Lilith and Mari sat on Lilith's lap.
Lilith rested her feet on the seat in front of her, humming along to one of her favorite songs.

Jane's question brought her attention back.
"Oh, you can't start up a conversation like that. You have to ease into the topic. You can't just be like 'wanna talk about cheese?'. Unless you're talking about, like asking random questions." Lilith paused.
"Actually, that's a good idea. Uh, this one's stupid, but what's your favorite colour?"

"Well, order yourself some food. And try to relax, or something," James said as he raised his hand. A waitress came over to him. "Welcome to the Zormy Diner, may I take your order?" she asked. "Yeah, I'd like some uh... banana flavored and some regular Poképuffs?" James asked thinking of what food Rosetta and Chlorist might eat. The waitress nodded and left. "You should get some food for your Pokémon, too," he suggested Marcus.

The Roggenrola jumped around as she greeted Sandile. Burn sat down next to Xeta and smiled. "Mon, monferno-no!" he said. (Man, I'm super hungry. I hope this food comes soon!)

Geck went flying at the Acrobatics attack, it being super effective. "Geck, I need you to use Pound!" Geck got up and ran with an arm glowing white. It aimed at the Gligar's wing, and Geck struck with all his might.

"I'll take five lemon PokePuffs, six like PokePuffs, two strawberry ones, and a Swirlix Smoothie," Marcus told the waitress as Xeta nodded to his friend.
"Ivy, ivysaur, saur!" The grass type told Burn which translated too, "We just got a crap ton of food, I'm eating good tonight!"
"Hey Sandile, your name is now....Kipling," Marcus decided as Kipling nodded, she was happy that she was getting some special treatment.

“Favourite colour is cyan. Or turquoise.” said Jane, silently listening to Marcus and James’ conversation. She had to wait for the right point, and then intervene. Meanwhile, the chef came back to the counter that was present in the diner, and a male waiter came, picked their meals up and brought them to their table and said “Your Vanilluxe Split Ice Cream and Pikachu Parfait. That’ll be 1800 Pokédollars.”, handing said meals composed of Ice Cream to both of them. Jane payed the bill, and continued while meanwhile her mind was a mess, considering her being conflicted by eating something due to her eating disorder, James and Marcus, and Jane’s crush on Lilith.
“S-So, what’s your favourite thing in general, really?” asked Jane to Lilith.

The waitress brought the food for the Pokémon, to which they happily ate. Then James stood up and smiled. "Well, I'll be leaving. Maybe train a bit in Route 5. You know, to get ready for when we go to Infernius Isle tomorrow with the ferry. But uh, I expect to be there for a while. It'd be a nice vacation from all this training and stuff," he said. Burn waved goodbye at Xeta and Rosetta went back to her trainer.

James returned his Pokémon and started leaving the diner. Then he saw Jane and Lilith sitting in a table and went towards them. "Well, well, well, ladies. Didn't notice ya. Hope you didn't stalk me," he joked with a grin. "Don't worry though, I'll be taking my leave," he told them briefly before proceeding to actually exit the diner.

Back at the Pokemon Center, the nurse was still standing across from Dan, examining his egg, when she stopped and looked distractedly at something behind Dan. A hand reached around from behind him, revealing a shiny red apple. Sid-Roggoth stood offering the fruit, smiling his too-wide smile, paying no heed to the staring nurse.

"Take. Eat." Sid-Roggoth shook the apple insistently at Dan. "This is a token of my favor; a reward for teaching me an invaluable lesson about pokemon training, however unintentionally."

Marcus sighed, "Hey buddy, stop flirting with girls, that's why Jane got angry at you," Xeta, Venus, Solar, Zoro, and Kipling started gobbling the PokePuffs until they have finished. Eric found some flowers and gave then to Kono.
"Sneasel," Eric told the Snorunt which translated to, "For you," Eric seemed to like her but he was just being nice.

"Oh, cyan is cool. My favorite colour is kelly green." She looked at her dish. The Vanilluxe Split Ice Cream was medium sized and quite delicious looking. There were four bananas lining the perimeter of the plate and ice cream was piled high on top. The whole dish was covered in whipped cream and chocolate syrup for good measure and a spoon sat on top. "Perfect," Lilith thought. She continued humming and drumming her hands on the table to the imaginary beat playing out in her head.

"My favorite thing? That's an easy question, definitely music. I love singing and having the perfect song for everything...Music just compliments life so well." Lilith smiled. She took a bite of ice cream, the flavor exploding in her mouth like a firework. She put some of her ice cream in three separate bowls; one for Brad, Diana, and Mari.

Gligar crashed into the ground, shaking from Geck's attack. He flapped his wings to no avail, then collapsed. His heavy eyelids slid over his irises.

"Return Gligar," Derek instructed, "Go Phantump! I need you buddy! Use Feint Attack!"

The tiny ghost-sprout nodded, and wisps of black smoke curled up from her head. Phantump began the attack by trying to lure Geck close with the appearance of being lazy. Phantump lollygagged, doing slow backflips through the air. But secretly, she kept a steely eye out for Geck, ready to strike the moment he got close enough.

James smiled at Marcus' comment, and then started heading through Zormy Towne to reach it's eastern exit. Though it is usually rainy, at night the town seemed way drier than before. James didn't even need his umbrella as he passed through the night version of the town. It was quite peaceful, to be honest, and it seemed prettier at night, as well, to James.

Once he reached Route 5, he noticed some trainers were still in the wild, but most were returning to the town. James released his Pokémon and grinned. "Time to do some training!" he exclaimed excitedly.

Upon receiving her Pikachu Parfait, Jane took a moment to examine the thing. It was in one of those transparent plastic cups. At the bottom, it had a layer of blueberries, followed by a layer of granola, and then a layer of chocolate and had the top layer consisting of ice cream with art looking like a pikachu’s face. Or something like that. Jane was hesitant to eat it, but when she did, it tasted good and stuff. “I like music. Mostly of the post-hardcore and EDM genres. So, favourite Pokémon?” continued Jane. In the meantime, she hummed a song from Homestuck, while telling herself in her head not to vomit everywhere, because that’d be gross.

Once his Pokemon were finished gorging on their confectionaries, Marcus recalled all of his Pokemon and began looking for Eric. Eric gave the flowers to Kono before turning and seeing his trainer, he smirked before waving goodbye to his fellow ice type. Once the azure haired boy recalled his Pokemon, he began to whistle a certain tune.

As everyone else spent their time eating at the same Cafe, Tessa seemed to be taking her time after eating herself to wander around the large city until ending up before the Casino. Most said Casinos were bad and to avoid them, but those people were unlucky. Tessa thought to herself as she walked in.

"And another win for Tessa!" Called out the gamemaster as Tessa seemed to take another set of coins for her coin case. People around started to think she was cheating, but all it was was good old fassion luck. Some muttered beginers luck, and that might be what it was, as the girl soon took control of the casino's coin supply.

Tessa sat down on a stool before the coin exchange table, counting her coins she won. It was a good 2700 coins for the Bagon, who seemed very unhappy when the nice attendant let her see it. The girl counted up her coins, slowly but surely, getting closer and closer to the lucky number for the Bagon. To her and the attendee's surprise, Tessa had enough. Without a second thought, Tessa traded in the coins for Bagon's pokeball before walking back out to the city's streets.

Marcus noticed Tessa walking out from the casino, on one hand, he wanted to apologize to Tessa and now was a good time but, he was worried that she might be mad or trying to avoid him.
"H-hey Tessa," Marcus cried out from the other side of the street even though he realized that he kinda looked stupid, but we all look stupid at times am I right?
"I just w-wanted to talk," He was nervous and Marcus stuttered when he was nervous.

Out on Route 5, shadows blended into night as the sun disappeared below the horizon. James's training was interrupted when Sid-Roggoth's outline suddenly appeared in the dark during a flash of pokeball light. Only his teeth really shone in the dark, but the smile was friendly. Just as he had with Dan, Sid-Roggoth extended his hand out, which contained a shiny red apple.

"Eat, debtor," he said through his smiling teeth. "I would not have your gift of knowledge go unrequited."

*(Sid-Roggoth has withdrawn his favor from Dan, and is now offering it to James. Will James accept, or reject? Either way, this is Sid's last action for the day.)

"HOLD IT RIGHT THERE!"

On route 5, Dan had ran after Sig-Roggoth. This...strange individual had offered him an apple for seemingly no reason. Dan had been too stunned to respond properly and before he had a chance Sid-Roggoth vanished. Dan, who had grown more confused about this guy, decided to look for him with his Snivy in toe.

Eventually, the two had found Sig-Roggoth as he appeared to have offered James the same apple he had been offered. Naturally, Dan had decided to interject as he faced Sig-Roggoth.

"L-look, I'm sorry for spacing out on you there. D-did you want me to have that apple?" Dan asked, Snivy just gave Sig-Roggoth a curious stare all the while.

James blinked and then took the apple and dropped it into Dan’s hand. “There you go. Ima leave now... bye,” he said quickly before proceeding to train his Pokemon with the trainers. He used Rosetta and Chlorist most of the time, yet neither evolve. Rosetta James could understand, but he didn’t know why his Budew didn’t evolve. He felt he had surely formed a strong enough bond now. Then something clicked. He remembered he had to train in day to evolve Budew. So he returned his Pokemon and started heading back to the town, satisfied with his accomplishments for the day. He went in the center and asked Nurse Joy to heal his Pokemon. Then he went upstairs to a room and got ready to sleep.

Tessa was still wandering, happy about her new addition when she heard a familiar voice from across the way. It was Marcus, and he wanted to talk about something. "Yea, what's up?" She asked her friend from across the street. Tessa wasn't mad now, and nor did she want to be, so she doesn't want anything bad to happen.

"Eh, I don't really have one. I like them all, really." She replied. Feeling exceptionally hungry, Lilith scarfed down her ice cream. She'd been pretty hungry, and the restaurant was about to close anyways. "I gotta go, see ya!" She gave a dazzling smile to Jane before leaving. Lilith gathered up Brad, Mari, and Diana. The rain was reduced to a subtle drizzle and was actually quite peaceful. Lilith checked into the Pokecenter hotel and healed her Pokemon. The room was small and furnished decently, with a medium-sized bed, a nightstand, a closet, an armchair, and a bathroom. Feeling exhausted, she stripped down and changed into her usual clothing, falling asleep easily.

"I just wanted to say I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you," Marcus told Tessa, hoping she would understand, if she didn't then that's fine, but he just wanted things to go back to normal.
