Open HALO: A SPARTANS STORY (contains violence)

Caleb gave a friendly nod to Theta, clearly seeing why his attribute was Trust. "Do you think we'll be deployed soon? I'm itchin' to fight those Covies." Omega said, possibly a bit too anxious for the upcoming fight. "While I may not exactly share Omega's enthusiasm for the mission, he has a point. How long will it be before we deploy?" Caleb asked.

"I'm still getting used to having theta around. Sorry bud, but all those calculations your running arnt helping," Meadow admitted and as if the prove her stumbled when her head was flood painfully with said calculations. Theta looked sorry and appeared infront of her face, "it could be nice if you stopped".

"Oh! Sorry! Didn't realize that hurt so much," Theta apologized honestly and stopped all the calculations quickly. He looked back at Caleb and Omega, "I was coming up evens and fun things we can do when we arnt on duty, such as snow boarding and scee ball"!

Lucia sat in the bushes keeping her sights on the enemy base making sure it doesn't slip away while they are preparing teams to help. Lucia was sent alone due to her stealth abilities. She kept her scope one the enemies waiting for the moment to strike. She kept one hand on her combat knife on her left thigh. She peered through the scope once again to see that nothing has changed. "When are they gonna send a team here?" She whispered to herself as she continued to watch.

Zak walked into the room/
"alright Eclipse pack up there is a Spartan near a covenant base and we are going in to back her up. If we fail we lose a member of team Eclipse" Zak said "and this is the real deal this time we wont get back up okay"

"alright This idea was given to me by Delta we are going to get dropped of a kilometer away from the base via Pelican so we sneak up to the base meet with Spartan 838 raid the base and get the hell out of there. As i said before if she survives she will be the newest member of team Eclipse and i have not seen anything from Angel so Meadow your second in command" Zak continued "stealth is of the utmost importance"

"okay lets go" Zak finished and started walking towards the Hanger Bay upon reaching it he climbed into a Pelican

Meadow followed her commanding officer. Theta was still chatting, sitting on his Spartan's shoulder. The colonial woman talked and answered the Ai, agreeing with that they would indeed play skee ball once they got back or find away to snowboard. She got the small Ai to quiet down and he stretched as if he was tired, curling up before disappearing. Meadow smiled under her helmet as she listened to the program's soft made up snoring.

Lucia sat there polishing her knife waiting for them to arrive. "Ughhhh they should've been here!" Lucia whispered to herself as she peers through the scope again "once again! Everything is normal here." She whispered impatiently

Isaac had finally made it to the hangar bay, and quickly jumped into the Pelican with Zak in. "I'm sorry about being so late. I was stood in front of a structure with my launcher the entire time waiting for someone to pop out. Then I had to get my AI installed."

Heta was a small, Orange figure, of a relatively calm and simple looking man. He was also extremely polite. Far too polite for Isaac. Something about him representing Service, and his almost butler-like actions made Isaac extremely angry when having to deal with him. Maybe being able to finally shoot something today would help. His trust in his strategy had resulted in him seeing absolutely no action.

Caleb followed Fireteam Eclipse's CO to their Pelican. "Hey, Omega. Search the UNSC Archives, I want to find some weak-points in the armor of Covenant Forces." Caleb said. "Right. Searching available archive information now." The A.I. said, instantly pulling up different, but useful, bits of information, as well as known Covenant tactics and recommended counters from experienced UNSC Soldiers. While the information hurt his head a bit, Caleb was slowly getting used to all of it.

Dillon sat down inside of the pelican as he put his helmet back on "Davayte idte v ad i vernut'sya" he proclaimed in Russian as he slipped a small data chip into the AI port on the back of his head. He looked at his team "Well comrades you ready for this" he asked with a grin under his helmet "I'm ready, ready to end covenant lives" he started chuckling at the fact that they finally get to kill things and it's not a simulation. In the H.U.D. within his helmet through the chip he had in the AI port he started digging through the files within it and he had help from an AI he had for a while called Sigma "Anything interesting in here Sigma"
"Well I've found traces of covenant technology studies by the UNSC but that's it"
"All right pal go ahead and close it all up" Dillon said to the AI. Sigma nodded as the files closed up.

Zak sat down as the Pelican lifted off.
He fidgeted uncontrollably
'If,I don't pull this off and anyone dies it's my fault' he thought to himself.
Zak looked down spotting the drop zone.
Zak shouldered a parachute and gave a thumbs up.
"Alright team lets go!" Zak said looking down
With one last glance he flung himself off
Angling downwards he opened his parachute the sudden movement jolting him.
He dropped and started running looking for Spartan Lucia.
He spotted her and looked to the right the covenant base stood alone guarded.
He tapped Lucia on the shoulder
"Hey I'm Spartan Zak are you Lucia?"

Caleb followed Zak out immediately, right behind him the entire time. As they stopped and Zak started speaking to Lucia, Caleb spoke. "Let me know when we're good to move, boss. I'll keep an eye on our six." He said, watching their rear, as he magnetized his shotgun on his back and grabbed his silenced Magnum. "Omega, help me out here. Turn on thermals, I don't want to miss any hostiles." He said. "Got it. Thermals are up and running now." Omega replied.

"It's about time your here! Alright here's the plan. They say the have some information on a new weapon they are working on. There is an entrance and an exit. The front here is where everyone enters. No one ever exits from this side. I suggest we blow the bridge to pieces so no one else can enter . We can get in through the windows" Lucia suggests as she points at each area

Dillon wasn't supposed to get out of the pelican since he needed to stay behind and cover with his sniper "Alright Zak the sensors are picking up about 4 hostiles 1 grunt 1 jackal and 2 elites one farther away permission to take it out" Dillon stated out through the radio taking out his sniper taking aim. He steadied his rifle as the ship seemed to slow down around him "Sigma, calculate a shot so he can take him down in one shot" as Dillon said this Sigma started to get surrounded with calculations
"Okay I got it shoot there" Sigma said as he pointed to where Dillon take the shot.

"One question, though." Caleb said from behind them, not looking away from their six. "After we blow the bridge, are we going in loud, or quiet?" He asked. "Oh, I so hope we're going in loud. I haven't seen any real action yet, and I'm anxious to get in a fight with these aliens." Omega said. Caleb sighed at his partner's anticipation.

Isaac stepped in. "Once the bridge is down we only have a few seconds before everyone knows about it anyway." He laughed heartily. "Trust me, I would know. I'm all over this demolition part, and I'm pretty sure this baby can stop any incoming air attacks." He pulled the launcher from his shoulder.

"All I need is at least one other person who can get me to the bridge undetected, and then everyone else goes in through the windows and deals with the Covenant as swiftly as possible. Real methodical. Make as much of the short time you are given to get in and get to work."

Zak considered the idea
"Yeah that might work but how about we enter in silently take out the hostiles take the battle plans and destroy the communications tower" Zak said
"That would seem okay but how about this so the base is there if we scale the walls around the base and then take every one out and steal the plans" Delta said pointing at the walls

Meadow and theta stood behind the group, keeping point as well. Her combat rifle ready to shot incase anything got to aggressive. Theta was running calculations but mostly chatted and tried to keep his Spartan alert, "theta, is there any possible computer systems or wireless com active right now. And if so can you translate, I think it would be helpful if we knew where their patrols are".

"I'll check! There is a com system active but I can't translate," Theta replied to Meadow and she hummed in thought. The red and white Spartan looked at her armour subtly and growled, "I think what Meadow is trying to say is that those of us with brighter armour are going to be easier to spot so we have to do this quickly and as quietly as possible".

"Hostile moving in quick an elite" Dillon said through the radio while on the pelican "I suggest you guys start moving I'll take care of the elite" Dillon took aim at the elite and pulled the trigger of his suppressed sniper. The bullet traveled in what seemed to Dillon as slow motion until it hit the elite right through the eye killing it "It's down and out"

"Hey, T." Caleb said, talking to Theta. "Patch me into those comms. I know Sangheili." He tilted his head in the direction of where the now-dead elite was. Dillon was good. Really good. Good thing that the guy was a part of Fireteam Eclipse now. *It will pay to have someone as good as he is on our team.* He'd think to himself.

"Patch coming right up," Theya cheered merrily as he was once again situated on Meadow's shoulder peice. Said Spartan's head turned slightly to acknowledge her Ai as he looked at her, "I just though of another idea! When we get back let's go paint balling. A perfect sport, use of combat skills in a safe environment".

"Maybe Theta. Usually during down time though I try to not worry about combat skills. How about movies, show you some of the classics," The tall woman hummed softly and her Ai agreed happily. Theta then popped up screens around him and and sent a message from the com he hacked to Caleb, "what was that, theta"?

"I've been trying to match speech patterns to races and this is a purely sangheili line," Theta chirped back as he continued to look through the coms. He then reformed himself back into his armour form and nodded at Zak, "I'm combat ready, sir"!

"Alright, let me think for a minute." Caleb said, as he listened to the comms. "Alright, I got it. They're communicating with their patrols through this comm channel, so we know when their next patrol will be here. They don't know about the Elite Dillon took out, so we're good in that regard. We have the best chance to move every twenty minutes or so, and we're about to hit the next twenty minute mark. We should move in three minutes, thirty-six seconds. We're ready to move, boss!"

Dillon got the evacuation vehicle ready for when the team completed the Pelican was to big to get into the area so a Hornet was sent with. Dillon ran diagnostics on the Hornet to make sure it was ready but it was a three man ship so they sent two of them with a random pilot sent with "Alright the Hornets are set begin the raid when your ready" Dillon said over the radio to his team "Support will be given from above" he walked back to the edge to continue giving support.

((Aw hell, sorry some how I wasn't watching this thread anymore....))

"Sorry mates, coming in a little late, some god dang bruiser got a little too excited during that training." She grunts coldly, aware of the soreness of her cracked ribs and a reenforced splint on the inside of her armor on her right leg. She skipped her AI, knowing her team came first, and personally, she didn't want a second voice in her head. At all.

"Would someone care to fill me in while I try to drone out this newbie pilot's inconsistent chattering?" She cast a half glare towards the babbling soldier in the pilot seat, urging the vehicle on as swiftly and silently as he could.

"Good to see your finally joining us," Meadow laughed and tried her best to fill the other Spartan in on their situation. Theta commented a little bit and asked Meadow who She was talking to. The small Ai continued to scan through and try to learn as much of the alien speak as she could. Meadow half listened to what he said, and finished her little tale, "you get all that".

"No one minds me dropping from the sky onto this building? I doubt I'll get there before all hell breaks loose, I'm not risking this pilot setting me down on the ground, even if the ankle-biter is annoying." Angel processed possible outcomes, she was going in blind, no recon or visual of the place until she jumped from the pelican.

Not to mention she was injured Only a little "How many hostiles?" She inquired, might as well gather what she could.

"Unsure of that," Meadow replied once again. She kept her guard up as Theta said something about their should be starting time approaching quickly. She made sure her weapon was in working order and that her hammer was still tightly strapped to her back. The woman made sure and asked Theta to do one more check of her armor to make sure it was in working order.

"I don't want you to go low, soldier." Angel barked at the pilot, she had a arm latched onto a handle bar above the open side of the pelican, "You fly above, then you swing this bird around the minute my feet leave this thing, am I clear?" The pilot nodded nervously. Angel huffed, putting her helmet in place, the pilot relaxed visibly now that her steel colored gaze wasn't on him.

Lucia nodded and prepared her weapons. She took a final scan of the area looking at every target that she could take out. The only trouble was how she was going to do it and where.

"Scanners are picking up about 50 other life forms all hostile" Dillon answered on the radio as he looked through the thermal scope of his rifle "As a matter of fact there is a patrol team on its way of at least 6 elites so uh, either go loud and take 'em down or I'll pick 'em off 1 by 1" he readied the rifle to shoot "decide quickly cause I don't know how much time you have" Dillon started checking the distance between the patrol and the Fire team. As Sigma finished calculations on how far they where he started to show Dillon as he begun more calculations "10 meters... 9 meters... 8 meters 7 me- wait they changed direction strange." Dillon was surprised that the elites were going a different way than they were ordered or maybe they got new orders who knows.

That made Caleb worry. "That can not be good. Dillon, keep an eye on them for me. I don't like the sound of their sudden change of direction." Caleb said. "Omega, divert power from shields to increase range of thermals. I don't want any surprise attacks." "Got it. Diverting power now." Omega replied, doing as he asked. "Keep those comms on, too. I want to hear their plans." He said. He then looked back at Zak. "Yo, boss. You good?" He asked.

"Maybe we should change positions. Find a place with better cover," the large woman suggested and theta listen to the command he was given keeping up his com work. The childlike Ai starting to panic and worry but Meadow quickly assured him that everyone was going to okey. The small red Ai made a back up of himself as Meadow ordered, just incase he accidentally glitches himself, "it's going to be fine, bud nothing to worry about".

Name: Nathanael Stan
Nickname: Sting
Service code (max three numbers): 733
Description: Average height for a male Spartan, green eyes and black short hair. Calm and sarcastic sometimes.
Armor: White and orange STINGER-class Mjolnir
Ability: Neural interface controller for a AV-49 Wasp VTOL aircraft
Type of soldier: Close/Mid range Fire Expert and air supporter.
Weapons: Dual Pistols, DMR and a combat knife.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Hi everybody, sorry for the timing, Nathanael Stan, my friends call me Sting, i am the new member of the Eclipse Fireteam" Sting said through the communicator "I'm controlling a AV-49 Wasp right now, i still undetected. I could use this machine and provide aerial support, the thing is, i doubt i'll stay undetected if i approach more in this ship, so i have two options, wait for you guys to start the fight or approach by foot. Meadow, right? I think it's your call since the captain is busy and you're the second in command. I will hold position until i receive new orders.

"I was gone for 5 minutes and already I've been replaced?!" Angel quips, after all she is the ex-second in command. It didn't bother her all that much, really.

She loaded her shotgun, "Send me some coordinates, I'm getting too close for my liking, I might even just jump out in the next few minutes without a target."

"Alright Caleb the patrol seem to be stopping at a" he his sentence off seeing the covenant Anti-aircraft weapon "The hell they stopped at an AA gun oh no" Dillon started to panic as the massive weapon took aim at the Pelicans. As the gun fired Dillon ran to a hornet as fast as he could and as soon as he got in the Pelican was hit. He started piloting it out of the ship and when he got the Hornet out the Pelican hit the ground with a huge explosion If they even think I'm dead I'm gonna kill 'em he stealthily piloted the quiet ship towards the AA gun hoping to bring it down so a back up can arrive.

"Dillon" Sting said trying to communicate with his teammate "I can't hold position for much longer, and i'm not far from your position. We're both pilloting VTOL's so taking that AA down will be a dangerous move...But i think we can do it" Sting said, trying to came up with a plan "If you like i could draw the AA attention for a while, you could use that time to shoot him down. Do you think you can do it?"

"Do what you can, if we can het their attention into one area the rest can sneak around and flank them." Angel comments. Her calm demenor ended as she uttered a strand of curses that would shame a sailor.

The AA gun had landed a hit on the right engine, sending the vehicle spiraling down. Without hesitating, Angel thrust a parachute onto the poor pilot and chucked him out of range.

Realizing a spilt second decision that would determinr her fate, Angel sighed. Might as well.

"Yolo, ammiright?" and suddenly a Spartan without a parachute was diving for the ground near the blasted AA gun.

Zak sprinted for cover sighting an elite who was running away to report to the enemy.
Zak sprinted up from behind taking out his knife he jumped up and grabbed the elite by the neck.
He threw the elite to the ground. Zak then jumped on top of them buried his knife in the elites shoulder.
Blue blood splashed and the Elite screamed.
"welcome to the team Sting" Zak said through the com and finished the elite off.
"alright team scale the damn walls!" Zak shouted into the com and started climbing
he looked back and saw Angel falling Zak sighed "ohh crap" (btw that isnt a curse)
Zak froze "Delta is the Armour strong enough to stop that fall"
She looked up and saw the fall "Yeah if she land right with her legs bent"
comforted Zak continued scaling the wall and hopped inside the base.
"alright team im in" Zak said snapping a grunts neck and hiding

Caleb followed behind Zak the entire time, scaling the walls. He came in right behind him, stabbing an Elite's throat with his combat knife, and then tossing it up, grabbing the blade part, and throwing it at another Elite, hitting it right between the eyes. "So, we still trying to go in quiet boss?" He asked, half jokingly, half serious, as he ripped his knife from the Elite's face. He then followed Zak to his hiding spot.

"Angel, this is Caleb. You think you can take out that AA gun?" He asked. He had yet to meet Angel, and he hadn't planned on her dying before he even got to meet her.

"Meh... Let's just improvise" Zak said "I'm a terrible leader " he said out loud
He unslung his battle rifle shot an elite and turned when he heard a a massive bang
He looked to the right and cursed "HUNTER!" He yelled and fired three shots at it.
The hunter kept walking towards him "Caleb get behind him and kill him the backs there's a weak spot" Zak commanded

Meadow followed after her team leader and theta disappeared into her armor. The colonial woman fired at some jackels that came out to try and interception them. When she heard about the Hunter, she moved to find cover. Her red and white armor was splashed with blue when she switched to her hammer, bringing the weapon down on an elites head, "hey, it could be going worse"!
