Crimson gave a slight nod, agreeing with that plan. “I can agree with that,” Crimson contemplates, “But it’s best if we both boost at the get go.” Crimson said, scratching behind his neck in the awkward tension. “That way, we have a boost throughout the whole battle.”

Crimson considers the move sets he sees from Flygon and his own Volcarona. “Not to be boastful or anything here,” Crimson starts off slowly. “But Volcarona would be a huge advantage here, especially with Hurricane.” Crimson said mentioning the Flying-Type Move that is super effective against both the Sceptile and Pangoro.

“If we can finish this off quickly,” Crimson claims. “It’ll be great. But if not, we’ll have to slowly knock down their points with some stylish moves.” Crimson looked at Aria if she got all that. He may be overstepping his boundaries, and competitive battling may not be his strongest point, but A for effort in sharing out his idea.

Aria usually didn't trust the judgement of others, but Crimson had a point on both fronts. Her Flygon wasn't outmatched - in fact, she would've confidently said it was the best Pokémon on the field - but Crimson's giant bug did have a type advantage, while Flygon's moves were possibly more suited for support, anyways. "That'll work. Are you ready?"

Butch thought for a moment while also glaring at the woman in front of her. Oh Arceus, this was gonna be so fun! She will have the chance to show Aria who was boss! Apart from her apparent excitement only fueled by the adrenaline in her veins, she listened to Dylan, who wanted a game plan. A game plan? Well, they did kind of need one. She was a little too focused on the battle, so it was likely that Dylan was right with the Pokemon they were using. About the type disadvantages though, this was going to be difficult. Butch thought for a moment before speaking in a low whisper.

"Hmm... Well, Pangoro and Sceptile are not going to do too well, especially with that Volcarona, if you are right. We have to get Volcarona first, then we can focus on Flygon. We should just focus on all of our attention on one of their Pokemon. Our Pokemon are very strong, so if we knock one of them out, they'll have a hard time fighting with one Pokemon against both of ours. Plus, one Pokemon will have a harder time dropping our points if there is no partner to help with."

Dylan nodded, waiting to say his piece and lowering his voice to a whisper. "I think a head-on assault might catch them off guard just long enough for us to take out the Volcarona, and it's smooth sailing from there. Now then," Dylan began before running a hand through his hair. "Time to get this battle underway! Evindal, let's go!" He pulled out Evindal's Pokeball and flung it into the battlefield, ready for battle as the Sceptile roared with power.

Butch started to giggle a little and rushed to the side of the battlefield until she was next to Dylan. She then threw her Poke Ball and unleashed her Pangoro. Goro roared loudly and looked about, seeing that Evindal was next to him. A double battle? He hadn't been in one for a while. Butch stomped the ground with one of her feet, telling him to focus his attention on the side Volcarona will be on. Goro nodded at the subtle hint, and stood his ground, making sure his action of attacking Volcarona was inconspicuous. He looked over to Evindal and gave him a thumbs up, showing that he was ready to battle along beside him.

Aria performed her usual manouver, calling out Flygon in a bout of grace and waiting for Crimson to do the same. "Since I'm the only lady here, how about I go first?" She called out, sneaking in a dig at Butch's demeanor.

“Volcarona! Time to battle,” Crimson called out throwing his Pokeball up to the air. The red flash released the giant moth fluttering about. Turning to Aria, they needed to do this on the get go. “Aria I need a distraction And make it big.” Crimson said, not allowing the others to hear what he’s saying to Aria. “Volcarona! High into the air and use Quiver Dance!” Volcarona flares lively, it’s scales fluttering down as per usual. The Bug/Fire Type got some distance between the non Flying Pokémon and began using Quiver Dance. The orange glitter, soon changing into rainbow glitter from Quiver Dance. The process is still going to take a while though, as there’s multiple stats they needed to boost.

Dylan watched as Volcarona attempted to stack its stats in the air and seized the opportunity. "Now, Butch! Evindal, Up in the air and use Slam!" Both of the Sceptile's forearms started to emit a bright glow as Evindal leaped into the air and brought both arms downward in a path aiming toward Volcarona's head, in an attempt to knock it to the ground and prevent its stats from increasing any further. Dylan hoped that Butch would also take the chance and join in with the frontal attack.

"Not a chance! Flygon, use Quick Attack!" Flygon glowed white and hurled into Sceptile at blazing speed, hoping to buy Volcorona enough time to complete the Quiver Dance. It was risky, but she needed the speed. She needed that Sandstorm up fast, but Sceptile's Speed had caught her off guard. If she could knock Sceptile away, the Sandstorm could go up, and the battle could shift into their favour with Flygon's long list of tricks she was capable of doing with it.

Dylan grunted as he watched Flygon rush at the now airborne Evindal. It would definitely be hard to maneuver to deal with Flygon in the air, but he had to hope the Sceptile would be able to manage. "Evindal, change target!" Evindal roared and twisted in the air to face the now approaching Flygon and swung a glowing forearm at the latter's head, hoping to knock it back down where Butch's Pangoro could take care of it.

Crimson's Volcarona panicked a bit, in the state of still charging up it's Quiver Dance. The Sceptile came dangerously close to Volcarona, considering it's non boosted speed, but luckily Aria's Flygon came to save the giant moth. Crimson gave a sigh of relief as Volcarona was able to pull off it's Quiver Dance. Now with boosted Attack, Special Attack, and Speed, Volcarona was flaring and ready to go. First off, to save the Flygon that saved his Volcarona.

"Volcarona! Intercept with Silver Wind," Crimson called aloud. With it's improved speed, it was no feat that Volcarona suddenly appeared in the middle of Scpetile's pathway to Flygon. Facing the giant green lizard, the Sun Pokemon flapped it's wings, emitting a strong wind, a Silver Wind that is. The Silver Wind, now more powerful with Quiver Dance, glittered with Volcarona's multicolored scaled flowing with it, headed towards Sceptile at an alarming rate. Crimson held his breath, hoping the attack would work out. If Crimson remembered basic battling correctly, Bug should be super effective on a solo grass type like Sceptile.

Evindal grunted in irritation and kept going straight for Flygon, but the glow around his arms dissipated as his speed increased whilst hurtling toward Flygon, avoiding the approaching Silver Wind by the narrowest gap. The Sceptile landed on Flygon's back and pushed off, launching the former into the air behind Volcarona as the bright glow once again encased his forearms. Evindal roared as he swung down with both forearms, attempting to knock Volcarona down once more. What was that Pangoro doing?

Goro was waiting for a chance to move. He would use Stone Edge, but they were so high up, and he would've hit Evindal. Although, it was a large rock, and it wouldn't be too hard to miss. Although, it would be better if he had unleashed it sooner, since now the Volcarona was now faster. Seeing that the Volcarona was now busy with Sceptile closing in with a Slam, Goro thought now it was time.

Goro slammed the ground and an ensuing crack came from his fists. It then rose to form a sharpened stalagmite and it shot towards the Volcarona. Even if Volcarona did miss, this attack could be seen a mile away and seeing how Evindal was quite agile, he would be able to use it as hopping stones. That's when Goro got a better idea. He slammed repeatedly on the ground and created more stones, and created this little arena for both Evindal and himself to fight the Pokemon who will be up in the air. Goro then climbed onto the stones, landed on the very top and flattened his rocky face with a weak version of Bulldoze. Now, he was ready. He shot towards the Flygon with Bullet Punch, trying to distract the Flygon with his prioritized move long enough so Evindal could get a hit in.

Aria cursed under her breath. This sceptile was fast, and in his speed they'd forgotten all about Pangoro. However, she had just enough of an opening right now to start turning things around. "Flygon, Sandstorm!"

On command, the now-very-familiar sands began to blow in, along with a gust of wind. Very quickly, the battlefield began to fill with sand, obscuring visibility for all the trainers. Quickly, Flygon gathered some sand and wind and used her tail to fling it at Pangoro, hoping to get it in his eyes and alter his course. Afterwards, she dove away gracefully to run interference elsewhere.

“They’re going after Volcarona,” Crimson said aloud for Aria to hear. He cringed as Volcarona was slammed by Sceptile onto Pangoro’s Stone Edge. Major damage was obviously done by the super effective move of Stone Edge and the physical move of Slam. Luckily, Volcarona was an extremely persistent pest. It got back up, struggling a bit.

Sandstorm brewer up, thanks to the fellow help of Aria’s Flygon. It gave them coverage momentarily. “Double Morning Suns,” Crimson called out. An evident, but dim glow was seen in the eye of the Sandstorm. Volcarona quickly healing up. Thanks to the coverage, Volcarona was up and running again. But due to Sandstorm, still got buffering damage. But they can heal later.

Time to make up some combomination moves.

”Volcarona,” Crimson called out again. “Hurricane, 75%!” Last time, Hurricane comepltely destroyed the Sandstorm. Crimson’s idea was to mix the Sandstorm and Hurricane together, without one obliterating the other. Fortunately, the plan went well. A tornado was formed in the middle of the field, sand from the Sandstorm gathering within the Hurricane. It traveled slowly, but it was a big move. The Sand Hurricane obliterated the Stone Edge that Pangoro built upon the field. Though the plan went well, it was harder to see due to the powerful winds of Hurricane and blurry vision of Sandstorm.

"Evindal, get rid of that haze!" Dylan shouted. The Sceptile roared as his right forearm started to glow brightly. He landed on the ground with ease and looked at Goro, trying to meet his gaze. With his eyes, Evindal gestured to his now glowing forearm braced for a Slam and then to Goro's right forearm, trying to get him to use a physical move that would cause the two arms to collide. The idea was to create a gust of wind with the two Pokemons' collision that would disperse the raging sandstorm quickly.

He jumped off of the pillars of Stone Edge, trying to hide behind a pillar to dodge the Sandstorm. When the Sandstorm got obliterated, he looked around the corner to see a huge tornado. Well then. Goro, seeing Evindal wanted to slam physical attacks on one another, gave him a sly smirk. Oh, of course, he shall help. His arm started to glow and he rushed forward with his glowing arm. He was going to use Arm Hammer, and it was aimed right at Evindal. Luckily, he wasn't too quick, and this attack was going to sacrifice his speed.

"Hey Crimson, I have an idea! Can you give me some cover?" Aria shouted. "Flygon, head for the eye of the storm and use Earth Power on the ground!"

On her command, the mystic Pokémon flew into the eye of the storm, and below. The sands did not bug her, and the winds of this dust devil were strong, but not enough to deter her. She touched down and began gathering energy. In order to break the whole field like her trainer planned, she would need a little time to gather her strength.

“I got you,” Crimson said back to Aria. “Volcarona!” Crimson called out once again, the Bug/Fire Type flaring alive at their section of the field. “Fly to where they can’t reach you and use Heat Wave on the storm!”

The ground and flying type combo already going underway, total annihilation on the field, Volcarona added a Fire Type move to the combo. The Bolcarona flew to the max height of the room and blew a steady stream of flames of to the tornado. It added an orange-red accent to the toranodo with a burning effect.

After using Heat Wave, Volcarona stayed afloat in the air. Playing it safe and keeping their distance is important for now. Better make use of the time they have right now. “Use Morning Sun to recharge!”

Evindal growled as he saw in his periphery the moves that Volcarona and Flygon had unleashed. The blistering hot wind blowing around them certainly wasn't helping either, as Evindal was slowly starting to become fatigued by the combination of both Fire and Flying attacks. Thankfully, he saw that Goro had understood his message and was now rushing at him with an Arm Hammer. Despite the scorching heat, the Sceptile smirked and made a deft swing with his glowing arm as well. The two glowing arms collided with such strength that a huge gust of wind erupted from the collision and dispersed the raging storm around the battlefield. The gust of wind that had torn through the storm was also capable of knocking back the Volcarona and Flygon quite a distance.

Without hesitation, Goro gave Evindal a thumbs up and started to unleash more Stone Edges across the battlefield, giving Evindal some pillars to jump and utilize his agility more. Goro's fists glowed with such power as he slammed them down into the earth, and the earth shattered upwards, creating spiky pillars for Evindal to use. Goro also slammed the ground right below him, and he was shot straight upwards with the pillar he made right below his feet. Although, in doing so, it allowed his body access to the fiery tornado, and he got hit by the fiery typhoon. He grunted as he then rushed forward, jumping from one pillar to another and close the distance between the Flygon and Volcarona, making them think that Goro is the threat, when in actuality, he was merely the distraction for Evindal to sneak up on them with his speed and now slight cover with the pillars.

Flygon was pushed by the wind, but not out of it yet. Quickly, she unleashed an incredibly strong Earth Power over the battlefield, cracking the ground wide open and destroying the pillars. Afterwards, she flew into the sky to prepare for the next assault.

Hopefully, Aria thought, that would do enough damage to the ground to make jumping off of it harder. This was tricky, as that Sceptile was extremely fast and strong.

Volcarona knocked back, but wasn’t as affect. The moth glided through the dispersed air currents. Right now, Volcarona was still the fastest Pokémon on the field.

(OC: Yes I did research. Volcarona is slower than Sceptile but due to Quiver Dance, Volcarona is faster)

With Earth Power destroying the Stone Edges once again, Volcarona moved in to attack. “Hurricane,” Crimson called out. “Stack it!” Volcarona rapidly beat its wings, to formed multiple tornados. One giant tornado was in the middle of the field. 4 mini tornados in each corner, altering the air current, should be making it hard for non flying Pokémon to maneuver through.

Right now, they need to prioritize maintaining the height advantage and stat boosters. “Aria,” Crimson said. “Hurricane should hold for a bit. Quickly boost with Dragon Dance, we should out speed them at least.”

Seeing the whirlwinds materialize, Evindal pushed himself harder as he jumped across the pillars that were still intact, trying to get close but not accompanied by Goro, who was following suit as a distraction. Of course, moving forward was proving to be quite a pain, as blades of wind created by the Volcarona's Hurricane slammed into Evindal's torso multiple times, hindering his movement. Having darted to the side before beginning his approach, the Sceptile was able to get close to Volcarona, who was busy with the creation of the tornadoes. Before the pillar he was currently standing on was shattered, Evindal used Agility, raising his Speed twofold to counter the Volcarona's Quiver Dance. The Sceptile's tail started to glow brightly, a shining light even amidst the storm before he jumped in the air, did a forward somersault, and slammed it down onto the top of his pillar. Not only did the rock formation shatter, a sonic boom erupted from the point of collision as Evindal was launched upward into the air and behind Volcarona in an instant, his tail glowing once more. While airborne, Evindal spun quickly around, aiming another Slam at the back of the Sun Pokemon's head in order to knock it to the ground, mainly the path in which Goro was currently running.

“Volcarona,” Crimson cried out to as the Sun Pokemon got knocked down airborne and into the ground. A harsh boom could be heard as dust and scales flew everywhere. As the dust cleared up Volcarona was already down and out, it’s wings limped against it’s body.

With a giant sigh, Crimson returned the Fire/Bug Type back into ya respective Pokeball. “You put on a great show out there,” Crimson whispered to Bolcarona’s Pokeball. Again, Crimson needs to work on more strategic battle strategies. Super effectiveness won’t always work out as they plan. Crimson watched as it was now a 2v1 between Sceptile and Pangoro against Flygon.

Aria cursed. This was getting harder and harder. She'd still broken the ground, which was hopefully making it difficult for Pangoro to move, and despite all of Sceptile's jumping prowess he would have to touch down eventually. Luckily, Flygon hadn't been hit yet but flying through the Hurricane had tired her out. It was a matter of holding on now. "Flygon, get high in the air and use Dragon Breath!"

Flygon rose to the skies, before opening her mouth and shooting down a purple haze across the battlefield. Outside of coating the ground temporarily and making it harder for onlookers to see her adversaries, she hoped. Plus, Dragon Breath, while weak, had the possible chance to paralyze her opponents. If she could Paralyze that Sceptile...

Evindal landed on the ground with difficulty, as having to maneuver through the still raging whirlwinds and Sandstorm was proving a great pain. Dylan saw the Flygon soar into the air and unleash a DragonBreath and gritted his teeth. That haze could do some damage, and worst-case scenario, it could stunt Evindal's movement. Damn, best thing I could do is press the offensive. "Evindal, use SolarBeam!" Evindal was greatly fatigued at this point. Bracing himself by stomping on the ground, the Sceptile roared as a small but dense sphere of bright sunlight materialized inside his gaping mouth, gradually increasing in size. Once the tightly packed sphere of bright emerald energy had grown to considerable size, Evindal roared loudly and unleashed the very last of his strength, creating a crater with small fissures under his feet from the force of the beam. The SolarBeam tore through the indigo haze and began to spasm, morphing into a roaring dragon as it hurtled with astounding speed at Flygon.

Goro was having problems maneuvering through the battlefield. The broken up pillars had fallen to the ground and were just rubble. The few pillars that were standing were so broken, that Goro's weight would break them if he had jumped on them, not like he was able to jump too high to help Evindal fight. Butch decided to take action now, since it was needed. She told him to use Ice Punch on the Solar Beam. Goro was confused, but did as he was told. His fist became covered in ice and he put his frozen fist in the beam of pure energy. The beam became cold to the touch, and the Solar Beam released a cold mist. It became an Ice-Type attack, or at least partly ice. This should help counteract against the Dragon-Type Dragon Breath. The dragon in the beam became frozen solid as a result. Butch and Goro both smirked in unison. This was either going to work, or it would at least slow the Pokemon down.

Flygon tried, but she was too tired to get out of the way. The massive combination attack hit her head-on before she could think, and she was knocked out instantaneously. Aria had her Poké ball out and recalled her before she could hit the ground. Turning on one heel, she stormed off into the crowd without saying a thing.

A lot of people who were already done with their double battles had heard Butch whoop in victory. She jumped in the air and her Goro came back to her, swooping her up in a large hug. Butch hugged her panda Pokemon, and then turned to Dylan, offering him a fist bump. Goro turned to Evindal and patted the reptile on the back and have him a fist to bump. Butch even turned toward Aria and Crimson, and yelled "Suck it!" Her Pokemon just rolled his eyes at her sudden and poor sportsmanship outburst.

Dylan returned the fist bump and chuckled. He grinned sheepishly and placed a hand on Butch's shoulder as she broke into her quite rude outburst. "Okay, calm down." He walked over to the defeated pair and offered them a friendly handshake, Evindal behind him. "Great match guys. Sorry for the knockout." Dylan rubbed his Sceptile's neck and beamed him back to his Pokeball to later take to the medical bay.

Butch decided to calm down, as she saw the coach stare at her for the outburst. She simmered down quite a bit, not wanting to get into trouble by the coach, but then again it was worth it. She finally said "great battle" to Crimson, but she knew that Aria wouldn't hear. She returned Goro into his Poke Ball, and released Trixie, her Manectric. Trixie followed at Butch's heel while Butch walked off somewhere. She returned to the coach, who whistled for everyone to come over.

The coach then announced to everyone in the room: "I will not dock points for losing, and I will not give out points to winning. I just wanted to see, as well as yourself, to see where you are at. Now! The bell will ring any minute. Grab your stuff, and head to your next class. Have a nice day everyone!"

Butch ran toward the back of the class to grab her stuff, then ran back to the healing machine to heal her Pangoro, then ran out of the classroom. She really wanted to get to her next class before Aria did.

Crimson watched as Aria stampeded off the battlefield. He tilted his head on why she is so heated on losing. One has to win some and lose some every now and then. Sure Crimson is disappointed at his performance during this period, but he’ll do better sooner or later.

Crimson gave out a “good battle” and “you too” to Dylan and Butch respectively as he shook Dylan’s hand. Crimson rushed off to heal his Volcarona before catching up with his usual group of friends. He didn’t know if it was fourth period or break yet. And he wondered what had happened to Miel and Jean, but he decided to worry about that later.

Catching up to Dylan, Crimson jogged over to the guy. “Do you know what is after this period?”

“Actually I can answer that!” said a figure closing in from behind. Coming close enough, revealed a young man with light blue hair and a dark blue sweater. “Oh sorry, My name is Stephen, I got here a bit late, but It’s nice to meet you!” Stephen said. “About your question, we should have history class with Ms. Holt, if our schedules are the same of course”. Stephen took out a neatly folded piece of paper out of his backpack and read it over, making sure he was correct.

Crimson turned to the source of the new voice, seeing one of the later classmates. Seeing the stranger, Crimson gave a small wave towards the stranger as soon as he introduced himself. “Pleasure to meet you,” Crimson said. “Name’s Crimson!” Crimson greeted back the trainer.

Crimson quickly pulled out his schedule, revealing that, indeed, History was next. Crimson was still questioning why majority of the students practically had the same schedule as each other. But he didn’t let that bother his train of thought.

His thoughts though were disrupted by a certain Electric Type, rubbing itself along Crimson’s legs. “Luxray,” Crimson called out. “Almost forgot about you.” Crimson was still in the heat of battle, thus forgetting about his partner along the way. Crimson crouched down and scratched the Gleam Eye’s Head and petted his mane along the way. “Missed you,” Crimson said affectionately, despite them not even being a solid 20-30 minutes apart yet.

Stephen felt the radiant electric aura from the Luxray. "Wow, you have a strong bond with your Luxray! I can tell that you two have grown over experiences, and have complete trust in each other!" Stephen said with his eyes closed. Just then, a Dewott came out of a Pokeball and appeared. "If you really want to..." Stephen said as though he could understand Dewott. "This is my Dewott, my uncle gave it to me when I was only 4. We've gone through a LOT! See it's Scalchops, those are made from pure everstone." Dewott held out it's scalchop to show it's silvery glow. "This Dewott has a phobia of evolving, heck, it almost died of fear when it FIRST evolved, but that's a story for another day..." Stephen looking down and remembering a terrible experience. Both kept their smiles on their faces.

Alex glanced around the hall. He had a class starting soon, what was said to be history, and he just needed to find the room. He didn't have the best memory, but his senses told him he was close. Something a little farther caught his eye. It looked like a.. Dewott?

Clef let out an ugly squack, her head tilting to the side. The Chatot blinked in curiosity, raising her wings. Alex had forgotten about the bird perched on his shoulder, and stumbled as the bird started moving. "Hush, girl." He said, putting a finger on Clef's beak.

Alex began to make his was over to the Dewott, noticing two other people and a large pokemon. Alex could feel it's power, causing him to shiver. "Hello?" He said awkwardly as he approached, a curious chirp coming from Clef.

Stephen gasped as the figure came from behind. Stephen noticed the Musical Bird perched on the figure's shoulder. "Why hello who are you, or, more specifically, who are you two?" Stephen said as he gestured towards the Chatot. "I can just FEEL the aura coming off you two... not in a weird way of course!" Stephen said with an enthusiastic attitude. Dewott seemed to nod in agreement. "Let me guess, You are a new student looking for their next class?" Stephen said in an almost sassy tone.

“Okay Mom, you didn’t have to call me three times in the time it took me to get the Luvendale,” Melody said to her Mother over the phone,”Alright, I will. Bye Mom.” She put her phone in her bag and sighed, she had absolutely no idea where she was supposed to go. Her attention was drawn to a group of three people. One of them had said something about looking for class. She decided to stand from distance and eavesdrop, instead of directly asking someone.

That didn’t last long. One of her Pokémon, Sylveon to be specific, release herself from her ball and landed, shouting “Sylveeeeee!”

“Wait Sylveon! No!” Melody said as she jumped on her Pokémon. Sylveon was so eager to meet another Pokémon that Melody had to restrain her, which caused more attention to be drawn to Melody.

Alex seemed to brighten up, a sudden excitement zapping through him. "I'm Alex, and this is my partner Clef. She's a nosy one, but she'll be nice. Right?" He asked, rubbing his left index finger into Chatot's head feathers, causing her head to tilt.

"But, yeah, you pretty much got it right. I don't have the perfect memory, but I thought I'd remember it this time. I.. Was wrong!" Alex laughed a little. During his small laughter, he heard a loud scream.

King, Alex's Talonflame, instinctively broke himself out of his pokeball. He stood in front of his trainer and towards the restrained Sylveon, an uneasy noise rumbling from his throat.
