After sitting down for a bit, Zack was considering getting food from a nearby RV, but after just eating, he didn't want to waste his money. He walked inside to find there was quite a few people already there.
"Dammit," Zack muttered as he started shuffling towards the waiting room with his head down. Unfortunately, he still caught a few surprised looks from other trainers. Zack himself was surprised people would be so shocked to see him, even though he lost in the quarter finals in Kanto. He made it the waiting room and quickly shut the door behind him.
"Well well well, if it isn't Zack Hunter," one of the trainers said, walking over to him with grin on his face. He had blonde hair, a black shirt and jeans. Then, he snickered a bit and said,
"Hey, where's your girlfr-" the guy was cut off by fist in his face. He fell over, nose bleeding, with a terrified looking face. Zack was still annoyed all people asked him about either Layla or Hazel. What if he liked someone else? What if he didn't like anyone?
"Why, in every tournament, why is there always that one scum bag, and his friends that follow him. Good thing I got you out of the picture," Zack said, as the guy ran out of the waiting room, followed by his crew.
"Well. Glad I got those dumbasses out of the way now," Zack told himself. He only then noticed a bunch of other trainers were staring at him as well.
"Oh hell no, we aren't starting this again, look, that guy I just punched was probably bullying everyone who tried to come in here, and I was just standing up for you guys by putting him in his place," Zack announced as simply as possible, to the whole room. Something that he didn't expect was all of them to start clapping. Zack gave them a fake laugh, and walked right back outside the waiting room.
"First day, the tournament hasn't even started, and already bad stuff is starting," Zack complained, to himself. He ran down the hall, trying to find an entrance to the ring of seats.
"Hey Riley," Zack managed to say as he ran by. He finally found an entrance and walked in. He found the nearest empty seat, and sat down, hoping to avoid attention.
