Private/Closed Journey in Galar! (Roleplay)

Kia noticed how the comment affected him. She tilted her head and frowned. "If a pokemon evolves too fast and you don't have many gym badges, that will likely be the reason your pokemon is disobeying you." She pointed. "Don't give them a chance to breath. Let's continue with the Mud Slaps!" Sled spun super fast, each time he completed a spin, a Mud Slap would come out. It wouldn't be long before Sled got worn out.

“But I...well...Rocky Road was by far the biggest of those Rolycoly...and he always has been a little rough, but...but...” he mumbled softly. “Rocky Road...I know what to do here...Rapid Spin!” Carkol paused, then rushed in, spinning wildly through the mud...it seemed to be affected much less by the mud when it was flinging it all away. “Alright, great job!”

"Dodge-" She was cut off by Rocky Road ramming into Sled and fainting him. "Never mind. If I have a chance, this pokemon should be able to beat the style of Rocky Road's reckless attacks. It's your turn, Uma!" She pulled out Uma's pokeball and the Ponyta landed in front of Rocky Road. "Before they can attack get some damage with your full throttled Psybeam, and then escape their range with Agility!" Uma reared and psychic waves came out of it's horn. It hopped back with Agility, escaping Rocky Road's range.

(The reason my pokemon know different moves is because when pokemon level up, they learn new moves. Kia has just been aware of this).

“Alright Rocky Road, let’s do this! Smack Down!” Carkol took the Psybeam, and launched a big rock at the Ponyta in retaliation. “Grr...alright...any ideas?” Rocky Road huffed, slowly circling the Ponytal. “...hmm...alright, use-huh?” He glanced down at his leg, seeing Smith watching intently. Carkol seemed to notice this, and winked. “Wait...really? Alright...use Explosion!” The Carkol glowed bright, and suddenly blew up as it speeded towards Uma.

"Agility, to escape!" She threw her right hand out. Uma sprinted forwards and leapt to get out of the way. His front hooves managed to get to the ground safely, but his back hooves got caught in the Explosion and flew away. Of course, his hooves took his body with them. Uma skidded across the ground, but managed to get up, clearly wounded. "Can you still battle?" Uma nodded. "Then stay in." Uma turned and inspected Smith, thinking it would be their turn. However, he didn't get any closer.

Jake blinked and looked over, as Sonny jumped in suprise at Blaze, before he grinned and hopped up, and started to play with the other fire bunny.

"The two of them are, we aren't," Jake said as he motioned to the battlers.

"Although...i don't know why Salasa's Carkol isn't listening to him...when Dad had to deal with aggressive pokemon in the Wild Area, it was usually because they were in pain, like they stepped on a thorn or something...it doesn't look like that, maybe its just a behavior issue," Jake shrugged. "Happens occasionally. Mom occasionally got pokemon that don't listen to their trainers in the Pokemon Center, sometimes it's just their personality."

"Alright...Smith, you wanna have a go?" The Applin rolled forward, hopping around a bit in excitement. "Huh...alright then! Let's start it off with an Astonish, and follow it up with a Sucker Punch!" Smith made a startling sound towards Uma, and then rolled towards him to give a nasty surprise if he wasn't prepared.

"Ah, are you exploring the region with them, then?" She asked Jake, while smiling at the two rabbit Pokemon playing. Blaze ran around with the other Scorbunny around the trainers, full of happiness. Rose started to spectate the battle, cheering on the fellow Pokemon. "It can suck when Pokemon don't listen. That's why care is essential for Pokemon." She said, as the woke up. She looked around, and got frightened at all the new faces, and teleported behind her trainer. "Or it could be the personality of the Carkol like you said." Rose noticed her incredibly timid friend, walked away from the battle, and attempted to cheer Astral up.

"Oh you want a worthy opponent ey? I'll give you one then!" Alistar said confidently. "Oshawott, dodge the Brutal Swing then get behind Yamask!" He said, Oshawott once again avoided the Brutal Swing, this time by ducking instead of jumping, before sliding under Yamask. "Alright now Water Gun again!" Oshawott spat out yet another Water Gun from behind, this time closer than before.

Mark got flung over to the other side of the battlefield, tumbling to Alistar's feet. He barely lifted himself off the ground, going in for another Astonish. He never really got the chance or needed to use Haze, but it was there for bad situations.

"Don't get any ideas. I'm only giving ya this much time just in case ya show any hidden potential, which has otherwise been proven non-existent. I'll consider continuing to battle ya if ya show evidence of the opposite. 2 moves left."

Oshawott instinctively attempted to dodge the Astonish, but once again took the hit from it sending him from one end of the field to the other, it would only take a couple more hits for him to go down now, even if they were from Astonish. "Oshawott, return." Alistar said, returning his Pokemon to it's Pokeball. "Y'know, if you don't think this battle is worth fighting until it's over, then neither do I." He said as he began to walk away from her.

Mark returned to Gabblimey's back, hanging as the challenger walked away. As he did walk away, Gabblimey grinned and began laughing at him. Extensively.

"Hahahahaha! The little lassie is runnin' away! Looks like I was right, ya really ARE a disgrace to all ya know! I nevah want to see your weak team or you in my path again! Never mess with the greatest trainer the world, Gabblimey! C'mon, team, let's leave this disappointment to go cry to his mum!"

Gabblimey began walking back to Motostoke to heal up her team. It was about time she headed off to Turfield to get started. After the team was all healed up, she went full tilt towards Turfield, with Coil and Mark training up along the way. Cor didn't train as much, simply because there was nothing he could learn. After blazing through the mines, she walked down the path to Turfield. She could've sworn she saw like, 20 ugly sweaters moving around in the grass. As she walked down to the stadium, she noticed a big issue: those chumps from before were there. And there were more of them than last time. She was unfortunately forced to interact with them. She walked to the stadium, and stood judgingly in front of the group.

"Hmph. If it isn't the failure and his friends. Ya seem to be building an entire squad filled to the brim with no potential whatsoever. So, how badly did ya all fail? Eliminated already so you can run home to cry in your mum's lap?"

“Huh? Oh...it’s you! Hello!” He grinned, forgetting the battle for a second to wave at Gabblimey. “Yeah, we made a new friend! His name is Jake, and...huh?” He blinked, finally noticing the new girl. “Um...I don’t recognize her. I think she’s just chatting. But yeah! Um...lemme see...I got an Alcremie and a Carkol since I last saw you! Oh, and Funky evolved into Thwackey...and got a cool pair of shades. How’ve you been?”

"Getting stronger Pokemon doesn't mean anything. It still means you're weak as a trainer. I'll prove it to ya in my match against this chump, Milo. I'm already warmed up from some disgrace in the Wild Area, so he should be nothing, just like you."

Gabblimey got all signed up for a match, and went to change into her uniform. When approached by the many, many Wooloo, she had to take her time with them. Not a huge fan of Wooloo, she was.

Alistar kept going on his way, heading back toward Motostoke and eventually Turffield, training his Pokemon along the way. He got through the mines with ease, and even defeated some other trainers. He got to Turffield with high hopes for his gym battle, and spotted Salasa, the boy from before, in a battle with Kia. He made his way over to the group to spectate the battle, greeting Salasa with a wave when he got close enough.

"I am actually a breeder. I tried the gym battles in Kanto, but I never really got into it. Though that said I do have a few badages under my belt. My brother has taken on the role for the pokemon of mine that like to battle. My name is Seth by the way. Sorry I am not one to talk much, but I do prefer to take care of pokemon more then to see them battle. I am actually here on a bit of a vacation to see what the region has to offer." Seth smiled as he spoke. He watched the battle taking in the pokemon that they used and their battles. He was happy to see that they were learning. Maybe later he could help them train.

"This is my partner Frost by the way." He rubbed the head of Frost who was in his arms. She was looking intently at the battle as she saw how they battled. Looking at the pokemon and their trainers, she knew that not every trainer or battle was bad. Though as the pompous girl from before came around, she did have a bit of sass with it as she did not want to deal with the girl.

After she finally wrangled all of the Wooloo, Gabblimey stepped onto the field. The smell of the grass, the cheers from a crowd... it only made her want to win more. She thought for a moment, who to send out when. Didn't matter too much to her though, it was clear that she was going to win. She met with Milo at the center of the field, looked at him real quick, then sized him up. "Is this some kind of joke?" she thought to herself before dropping Cor to the field from her shoulder. As Milo's Gossifleur landed on the field, Cor started the match with Defense Curl, as per usual. He began using Rollout, zooming towards Gossifleur while being hit around with Round a few times. After about three hits or so, Gossifleur went down, and Cor spun out in front of Gabblimey, pretty damaged. Next was the Eldegoss, a part Gabblimey was not too enthused about. Fighting Dynamaxed, and Gigantimaxed Pokemon, for that matter, was going to be a tough road without a Dynamax Band of her own. She witnessed the Pokemon grow to a massive size, and Cor hid in his apple in fear of being loomed over by this giant cotton plant. He couldn't move, he was absolutely terrified. When the Max Strike came down and the dust lifted, Cor was just... gone. He had been launched to the other side of the field, and most definitely fainted. The best thing she could do at the moment was stall until the Dynamax wore off. Mark hooked off her back, seeing the giant Pokemon and instinctively out of fear, used Protect. As the giant seeds from Max Overgrowth plopped down onto Mark, he had one thing on his mind: he was screwed. As the dust cleared again, he literally couldn't move, but hadn't fainted yet. Gabblimey rushed in and picked Mark up, petting him before having Coil rev up a Flame Wheel from a distance. The last move to deal with was another Max Strike, and Coil took it, then took off to smash into the Eldegoss. They began to shrink, slowly but surely, and once at normal size, Coil rammed into them, dragging them along the ground until they got slammed into the wall. When all was said and done, both came out of the cloud of dust, both collapsing onto the ground: a double K.O, a tricky situation. Gabblimey, on the inside, was terrified, what if she had already lost? What would she do to help her family? On the outside, she simply kept a straight face, calm and collected. Then she remembered: in the event of a draw, the challenger is deemed the loser. She was about to go ballistic, when she remembered that Mark barely hung on after that attack. She lightly nudged him, then saw as he slowly rose off the ground. She had done it. She snatched victory from the jaws of defeat. She went to Milo, shook his hand, and earned her Grass Badge.

"... Y'know, ya really had me on the seat of me trousers. I thought was finished for a second, so do me a favor: battle me again later. I can respect a hardworking trainer. Pip pip!"

She walked back to the lobby, carrying her fainted and injured Pokemon. She glared at all the people she was better than, then scoffed.

"See? I cleared that fight like it was nothing. The loser couldn't even stand after that battle from how badly I bested him. You all should just go home, I'll take care of all of them."

Alistar stood himself up. “It’s probably about time I had my Gym Battle, so I’ll be off.” He said while walking away from the group. He entered the stadium lobby for the first time and took a deep breath before he walked towards the changing room, to change into his uniform.

A rather plump woman with a sweet smile approached Gabblimey, an Appletun following right behind her. “What an excellent battle, dear! Not even Dynamaxing...how incredible! Like Piers...or Marnie, she was an excellent trainer to watch...” she smiled, taking out some Revives and Super Potions to give to her. “Here you go, dear. My name is Shelby...May I get yours? First my own dear Salasa, then his friend...and now you! Why, I have high hopes for the gym challengers this time around.”

"Oh," Jake realized as he looked over at Seth and Alex and stood.

"Guess now is a better time then never to introduce the rest of my team. You already know Sonny..." he pulled two pokeballs off of his belt and tossed them into the air.

Out popped a Rookidee and Yamper.

"This is my Rookidee, Baltimore, and my Yamper, Scamp...who I've had for literally like five minutes, that's why i went into the bush. He'd been following me and Sonny around Turffield for a bit, one of the employees at the coffee place told me that he'd been ditched by his old trainer and had been hanging around town," he said as he bent down to scratch behind Scamp's ears, as the electric type yipped happily and licked his trainer's face, as Baltimore ruffled his feathers and inspected his new teammate, and the humans around him

"I'm from Alola, my family moved to Galar a while ago." Alex responded to Jake. She then continued to spectate the battle, as Rose gave a friendly pose to the fellow Pokemon, and attempted to bring Astral with her to greet them, but the Ralts, scared, gave a small wave."Rose is my Steenee and the Ralts is Astral. And that Raboot's name is Blaze." Alex said, as Blaze ran in many circles.

As Smith approached Kia realised that by now, Uma could out-speed even the fastest of attacks. She didn't trust it though, so she decided against dodging. "Take the hit, then another Fairy Wind!" Uma got blasted with the Sucker Punch, taking a lot of damage. However, he dug his hooves into the ground in order to not be pushed back. Uma used Fairy Wind, from right in front of Smith.

Smith rolled back, and fainted from the Fairy Wind. “Oh...gosh. Alright...” he returned Smith, and gripped his Pokeball. “Alright...go, Funky!” He threw the ball, sending out the Thwackey. “Go for a Razor Leaf! Spread it out!” Funky summoned leaves from behind him, sending them out in various directions in hopes to catch an attempted dodge.

Alistar stepped onto the field after wrangling the Wooloo, and took a look around him. It was certainly breathtaking, he'd always watched from the sidelines but now he was the one battling! His hopes were a little low for this battle, as two out of his three Pokemon were weak to grass types, so he'd just have to hope for the best. Milo stepped onto the field and greeted him before starting the battle off with his Gossifleur. Alistar sent out Sandile first, "You can have the first move," Milo told him.

"Alright Sandile, lets start this off with Rock Tomb!"
Sandile opened up various portals in the sky above Gossifleur, and out of each one came a boulder sized rock. Gossifleur used Rapid Spin to counter, launching the rocks back at Sandile who dodged them with ease. "Gossifleur, Magical Leaf!" Milo's Gossifleur summoned a wave of leaves varying in color from dark green to purple, catching Sandile off guard and hitting him directly. Barely clinging on after the super effective hit, Sandile turned back to his trainer to signify he was OK. "Sandile, get behind Gossifleur and use Bite!" Sandile ran at Gossifleur, at the last second jumping over it and biting it square in the back sending it towards Alistar. "Alright, now Rock Tomb again!" Sandile once again used Rock Tomb as Gossifleur struggled to stand after the powerful blow it had just endured. Now buried in rocks from Rock Tomb, the flower Pokemon was struggling to do anything. "Now lets finish this off with Assurance!" Sandile dove into the rocks in which Gossifleur was buried to deliver his final blow, striking it directly and knocking it out. Cheering came from the spectators as it was revealed Gossifleur had fainted. "Great work Sandile! Now, return." Alistar said cheerfully while returning Sandile to it's Pokeball. If he could pull that off with Sandile, he had no doubt he could win this.

Next up was Milo's Eldegoss, his final Pokemon. Alistar knew what was coming, so he sent out Pawniard to deal with him. Alistar was yet to recieve a Dynamax Band, so this was the fight he was most nervous about. Milo returned Eldegoss and supercharged it's pokeball into the unmistakable Dynamax Ball, and threw it behind him to reveal his souped up Eldegoss. This would be a tough fight for sure, but he knew Pawniard would be able to do it. "Pawniard, Screech and then go in for Metal Claw!" Pawniard pulled off the Screech, harshly lowering Eldegoss' defense before going for the Metal Claw, before she could even get close however, she was hit with a powerful Max Strike by Milo's Pokemon, sending her flying back into wall behind Alistar and knocking her out immediately.

Alistar was awestruck at what just happened, returning Pawniard and sending out Oshawott. "Alright Oshawott, I believe in you buddy." He said to him, "Now, use Water Gun multiple times and try not to get too close!" Oshawott spat multiple spurts of water at Eldegoss, hitting them with ease thanks to it's large size. "Eldegoss, you know what to do!" Said Milo, Eldegoss began to use Max Overgrowth which would knock out Oshawott for sure if Alistar didn't think of something fast. Something clicked in his head at the last second, and he relayed his idea to Oshawott. "Use Razor Shell and swing wildly at the ground beneath you!" He said, Oshawott did just that, protecting himself from Eldegoss' attack by not even letting it grow. Alistar's heart was pounding now, surely it couldn't be much longer until Eldegoss was worn out. "Oshawott, use Aerial Ace!" Oshawott charged at Eldegoss, while simultaneously drawing power to his scalchop. Once again, Eldegoss went in for a Max Strike. "Quick, block it Oshawott!" Alistar said in desperation, this would definitely knock Oshawott out like it had Pawniard. Oshawott ceased it's attack and held it's scalchop up to it's face, the attack struck his shell but he was having trouble holding it. It looked for a second that he was about to break, until a blue light surrounded him and he began growing. Alistar looked on in awe, he was evolving! He finished his transformation, revealing the figure of a Dewott. He slashed Eldegoss' attack away with Aerial Ace before leaping onto it and began wailing on him with his fists. "You even learned Revenge!" Alistar said in excitement, and as soon as Dewott finished his attack, Eldegoss began to shrink, and revealed the form of a fainted Pokemon.

Cheers erupted from the people in the stadium and Alistar ran up to Dewott hugging him tightly. "We did it! Even with the type disadvantage, we worked around it!" He thanked Milo for the great battle after recieving his badge and ran out of the stadium and back into the lobby.

"It's definitely nice! There's a lot of beaches, forests and ruins." Alex said. "I'd recommend going if you have the chance." Astral immediately teleported into her trainer's hands, quite terrified of the sudden noise. Rose gave a small chuckle before smiling at Scamp at doing a pirouette, as leaves spiraled up around the Steenee. Blaze stopped running and sat down with Sonny, slightly tired as well. He gave a chuckle before laying on the grass, looking into the sky. Sonny reminded him a little bit of himself when he first met Alex.

Gabblimey stared at all the medicine that Shelby was offering, then to Shelby herself. Her eyes filled with anger again, then she grabbed Shelby's wrists, and pulled on them to make her drop her offering.

"Don't you EVER pull this again! I'm not doing this to take pity from people like you, and you don't get the right to know why! Now do your son and yourself a favor and keep him home before I make it so he doesn't even want to battle anymore! Be happy ya announced your presence: I would've mistaken ya for your Pokemon."

She and her Pokemon stomped out of the building, heading to the center. After the team was healed up, she started heading to Hulbury. She didn't want to see or be seen by those failures.

“Alright...Rain Dance again, I see. Alright...use Razor Leaf again!” Funky beat the ground for a second, before using Razor Leaf. It got hit square on by the water gun.

Shelby twitched a little at the nasty words, her smile faltering. She gained a nasty glare as her Appletun picked up the dropped items. As Gabblimey left, she hissed a bit at her as she left. “Well, then if that’s the way you want it...you’re lucky your Pokémon care for such an ungrateful brat...” she growled, going back to go to the pitch to watch more matches. “I hope my son never has a run-in with her.”

Funky was getting pummeled, like their previous battle when he was still a Grookey. However, Salasa was a bit wiser this time. “Alright, let’s jump in! Razor Leaf!” Funky rammed through the attacks, sending another bunch of leaves to Mudd. It was seriously weakened by the attacks...but that Razor Leaf seemed to be even stronger and faster than the last.

"Bide, quick!" Mudd crossed its arms and got battered by the leaves, but didn't budge. Kia pulled out her notepad and flicked through the pages to a page titled Moves She flicked the page and went through all of the move descriptions to Razor Leaf. It stated that Razor Leaf inflicts damage on all opponents, and has a higher chance of landing a critical hit. A critical hit could be fatal, but it would make Bide stronger too. Maybe if Mudd holds long enough, she might take Funky down with her...
