"I'm gonna keep going," Landon stated as he walked over to Mallow and Evon, "Rest up at the Pokemon Center and get better," he told Evon. "Roten, you know where he went?" Landon called up to Roten, who had flown up as ZX escaped, it nodded and flew the the direction ZX went, "I'll be back soon!" Landon called to everyone as he ran off.

Suddenly, two Zs jumped into the air and tackled Roten to the ground. Three more surrounded Landon, each of them with drawn blades.
Now that Evon was safe to move, Mallow had Sceptile pick Evon up. The two ran back to the Pokemon Center at Seafolk Village, Mallow and Evon's Pokemon all following them.

Robby took a deep breath, "Good job guys." Robby said as he recalled all his Pokemon but Lucario. "Be careful guys." Robby said, looking toward Evon and Mallow before running after Landon. "We need to be more careful with this guy, we don't know what else he can do. Especially since Evon was just stabbed. " Robby said.
Lucario sensed the Zs before they even got there, he then punch the first Zs and destroyed it before it even had a chance to move. "Man, these guys are pesky." Robby said as he grit his teeth.

"Okay, I'm sick of seeing you guys, Turt get out here and use Dragon Pulse!" Landon whipped his Pokeball releasing his Turtonator which quickly launched a Dragon Pulse at the Zs that had Roten pinned down, "Roten Spirit Shackle, and Turt use Overheat!" Turt quickly launched a powerful Overheat as Roten fired one of it's arrows both destroying two of the Zs. "Okay you are still a thing!" Landon shouted as a Z grabbed him, "Don't worry you guys, I've got this," Landon told his Pokemon as he tried to free the Z's grip on him, but with no such luck. The Z slowly placed it's blade against Landon's neck, Landon closed his eyes but soon found that he was free from it's grip, he quickly opened his eyes to see Robby and Lucario, "Hey, thanks a ton," Landon thanked him as he got up, "Now, honest moment, me running up here was probably one of the worst plans I ever had," Landon quickly recalled his Pokemon as more Zs began to run down the pathway, "I think we should head back to Seafolk Village and regroup," he told Robby as he slowly began to back up.
"Yeah no problem." Robby said with a smile as he also began to back up once he saw the reinforcements, "Man, where do they get so many?" Robby asked as they turned around and ran back out of Vast Poni Canyon.
After a long run, the two and their Pokemon finally had made it back to the Pokemon Center. Robby had handed his Pokemon to Nurse Joy and took a long gulp of Water. "Ugh, that was stressful to say the least." Robby said as he plopped down on the sofa like a rock.

Mallow was sitting on the bench, twiddling her thumbs. She looked up as soon as she noticed the others were back. "Guys! Did you catch that robot?" Seeing the looks on their faces, she plopped back down. "Guess not. Evon's currently in the medical bay. They're giving him some check-ups and telling him to rest for a day or so. Could risk internal bleeding."
"That's good I'm glad he isn't seriously hurt, hopefully he doesn't have any." Robby said as he looked toward Mallow. "So then, looks like we are staying here for the night." Robby said as he leaned back in his chair.
The classic sound of Pokemon being healed played and Nurse Joy exited the back with Robby's pokeballs. "All good!" Nurse Joy said with a friendly smiled as she handed Robby his pokeballs.
"Thanks Nurse Joy." Robby said before sitting back down, "Man, I'm exhausted." Robby said with a yawn.

"Hope he's okay," Landon replied, he was about to sit down when he could feel something vibrating in his pocket, Landon pulled out his Pokegear to see that he was getting a phone call, "I'll be right back," Landon got up, taking the call. "Hey Landon," Lyra greeted, "I'm at the Mareanie Hotel and the people there said that you had some stuff in your room that you never claimed." Landon had a puzzled look on his face as he thought back to when he first arrived in Alola, he remembered after he had reunited with Robby he never left to grab his stuff from the Hotel, he remembered buying a new backpack and clothes not to long after dealing with Team Skull for the first time, "Oh, man," he sighed as he grabbed his head. "Don't worry I'll get it to you," Lyra replied with a laugh. Landon soon ended the call and walked back to everyone, "Well, turns out I left all the stuff I originally brought with me to Alola in a Hotel back on Melemele Island," he chuckled.
"Oh, who was that? Lyra?" Robby teased as he gently elbowed Landon in the side. "Anyway, when are you going to get that stuff?" Robby asked as he sat back down again and yawned and stretched in his seat. "She'll probably just give that stuff to you before or during the league. I bet she came to watch." Robby said.
"Hopefully," Landon replied as he sat down, "The Alola League should be done construction soon, which means we'll be able to compete," Landon laid back on a couch and began thinking about what kind of Pokemon he would use. 'Being one of the first trainers from Sinnoh sure does put a ton of pressure on me, I'm representing an entire region' he thought to himself as he continued to think, 'I know that any of my Pokemon would be a great choice, Roten and everyone did bring me hear, so it's only natural that I at least one of them in all of my rounds' Landon smiled as he drifted to sleep while waiting on Evon's recovery.
After a while, most of the people in the Pokemon Center were asleep, but Robby was talking to someone on the phone.
"Things are going great here in Alola, we are actually on our last island trial and we'll move on to the league." Robby said before he paused again and waited for the person on the phone to finish their sentence, "Yeah the media is right.. There is some evil activity going on here. Don't worry though, it's nothing like the Team Flare incident." Robby said, he was lying of course, but he didn't want to make whoever he was talking to worry about him.
Robby gently smiled as he adjusted the phone, the faint light of the moon illuminated the room. "I'll be alright. Oh, and tell the Professor I'm doing fine." "Chatting with your girlfriend, Robby?" a voice said. Mallow had been lightly sleeping, so had heard the whole call. But this wasn't her voice. She sat up, looking to the door of the Pokemon center.
There, leaning against the door frame, was a man wearing a large dark blue cloak that covered his entire body and a large dark blue hat.
"I hear you're going after Faba. I can help you get to him."

Robby opened one eye and stared at Mallow, "No... I..I wasn't." Robby said as his face turned slightly red, but he noticed something that was off...

Don't mind me asking this, but... Who are you?" Robby asked as he rubbed his eyes, "You look quiet suspicious standing there... But, we would definitely appreciate the help with Faba." Robby added with a yawn

Landon slowly rolled off of the couch in his sleep and onto the floor, "Ow," he said in a muffled voice, "Hey, who is this guy?" Landon asked as he got up, still half asleep, Landon examined the man for a second, "So are you some kind of old sage or something?" he asked.
"Not quite." the man said in response to Landon's quirk. "I'm an old friend of Evon, and have been following the Zs for quite a long time. Years, in fact."
"What's that supposed to mean?" Mallow asked.
"It means that I can tell you exactly where your enemy is. I know all I can possibly learn about the Zs, and that includes their foes. Namely you three and Evon."

"How I know about you all is not important, nor how I know about the Zs. What matters is what I know that is relevant to you." the man said, standing up. "If you want to find Guzma, the ZX and Faba, you should listen to me. I know their location."

"Yeah, I'm all ears," Landon stated, still half asleep he had been listening to the whole conversation that had happened ever since he had fallen onto the floor, "So, what are you able to tell us exactly about the Zs," Landon looked past the man and out the window to see that the sun had risen.
"I can tell you that they're not Faba's creations." the man said. "Faba's smart, but he's not the genius needed to create ZX. In return for something from Faba, whoever created the Zs is giving him his troops and resources. I suspect Faba went along with it to boost his own power and fame. Probably planning to stage a 'heroic revolt' at the end or something."
"Sounds like it's just some simple corruption within a company.. I wonder if any of the other higher ups at Aether know." Robby said as he ran his hand through his hair.
"So, let's get to the chase, do you know where Faba and the others are located?" Robby asked in a more serious tone. "We know they're probably somewhere in Vast Poni Canyon and I remember Evon picking up a file for a secret base of sorts back at the Foundation." Robby said, think about the previous morning.

"No, Faba's the only one with the Aether Foundation involved with this. I've been chasing the ringleader all around the world for a long time now. In truth, this is a global chain of threats. This is just the most recent link." the man said. He then pulled out some files. "Your friend left these on your boats. And I know the exact location of their base. It's a factory they're using to create Shadow Pokemon and Zs."
"Well, what are we waiting for?!" Mallow said. "We have to go there now!"
"Remember, they have a literal ARMY of killing machines." the man said. "I'd be able to handle myself, but I'm not so sure about you kids."
"EXCUSE ME?!" Mallow replied. "I'm a Trial Captain, thank you very much! I might not be the best battler, but I can still take down a bunch of soulless machines!"
"Well, what are we waiting for?!" Mallow said. "We have to go there now!"

"I vote that we get going now," Landon stated as he got up, "Even if they are killing machines, we could be risking much more than we may think just sitting here, because for all we know they are getting twenty times the amount that we have been fighting, so taking them done as fast as possible is probably a better plan." Landon walked over to the man, "I'm going back to Vast Poni Canyon, no matter what, and you won't stop me," he stated as he stared the man in the eyes.
"Yeah, me too. I have confidence in our abilities as trainers and in our Pokemon." Robby replied as he also stood up. "They hurt my friends and I'm not going to let that slide. I'll make them pay." Robby said as he walked closer to the door.
"We might as well just go now, there's no way we'll let you go without us."

"Heh. He did say you kids had spirit." the man said, chuckling. "I like the cut of your jib. You definitely seem like the type of people that I can trust to have my back with this. Alright, let's go."

"I need a minute!" Landon exclaimed as he ran back into the Pokemon Center. Landon came back out with a Pokeball in his hand, "Tauros! let's go!" he called as he threw the Pokeball, releasing his Tauros that he had caught in Kanto, "Tauros, I need you to get me to Vast Poni Canyon as fast as possible," Tauros gave a confused look back to Landon, "Never mind, I'll point it out when we get close," Landon jumped onto Tauros' back as it began charging towards Vast Poni Canyon.
Robby ran after Landon and jumped on the back of his Tauros as well, "Sorry, but I also need a ride." Robby said with an awkward chuckle.
"Hopefully this guy is actually trustworthy." Robby said in a bit more of a serious tone as Tauros charged along the path. "I just want this whole thing to be over.

"You can see it, can't you?" Thunder said, as the large grey rectangle ahead of them stuck out like a sore thumb. "Alright, let's-"
"LET'S GO!" Mallow said, running towards the base.
"Mallow, wait!" Thunder said, dashing after her. "We don't know if Faba has set up any-"
All of a sudden, steel fencing came out of the rock flooring from four directions, trapping the two of them in a large box. The top closed, and trap doors at the sides of the box opened up.
"...traps. Damn it." the man said, flowing back his cloak. He and Mallow got back-to-back, releasing two of their Pokemon each. Mallow sent out her Sceptile and Talonflame, and Wandering Thunder sent out his Electrivire and Raichu. A storm of Zs climbed out of the trap doors.

"Let's go Robby," Landon said as he quickly got off of Tauros, "Tauros, return," Landon recalled the Pokemon and immediately took off towards Faba's lab. "So, you decided to come after all!" Guzma stated as he walked over in front of Landon holding two Pokeballs, "Now I'll take you out once and for all! Golisopod and Scizor get out here!" Guzma threw the Pokeballs releasing Golisopod and Scizor. "No way, because Pod's coming home with me, Roten and Turt get going!" Landon shouted as threw two Pokeballs releasing his Decidueye and Turtonator, "Use Spirit Shackle and Flamethrower!" Roten quickly fired an arrow at Golisopod as Turt shot searing hot flames at Scizor, "Robby you get to the lab and stop Faba we'll take care of Guzma!"
"Right!" Robby exclaimed as he ran past Guzman and ran into the laboratory.
"Woah... This place is weird." Robby said as he looked around to see many screens that were seemingly connected to security cameras. Robby abruptly stopped and drew a Pokeball as he sensed a familiar, but chilling presence..

"I'm surprised you decided to come." ZX said, dropping down behind Robby. "...or that's what I would say if you weren't so pathetically predictable. Don't worry, I'm not going to outright stab you like I did your friend. You'd prefer a battle, wouldn't you?" ZX had a Pokeball in his hand, and five more on a belt he was holding.
Evon's Jolteon was waiting outside, staring at the door. Suddenly, it opened, and a stumbling Evon came out. Evon's Pokemon all rushed to him.
"No, yeah, I'll be fine." Evon said, even though his chest still hurt. "Where did the others go?"
Jolteon nodded towards Vast Poni Canyon.
"So they left already? Heh. Alright, then. Let's go." Evon said, walking out of the Pokemon center.
Evon's Jolteon was waiting outside, staring at the door. Suddenly, it opened, and a stumbling Evon came out. Evon's Pokemon all rushed to him.
"No, yeah, I'll be fine." Evon said, even though his chest still hurt. "Where did the others go?"

"So they left already? Heh. Alright, then. Let's go." Evon said, walking out of the Pokemon center.
Robby turned around and glared at ZX, "That is correct, but tell me something first. Why? What are your true motives? And why did the sight of that Tyranitar make Evon freak out so much?" Robby questioned as he held the Pokeball in front of himself and threw it, his Lycanroc jumped out of the Pokeball and snarled at ZX.
"My motives are to follow the orders of my boss." the ZX said. "And that Tyranitar? A present from my boss - a love letter from his childhood, where said Tyranitar broke his arm and almost killed him and his Eevee - well, now a Glaceon. He would be gone by now if your friend in the blue cloak hadn't shown up to save him." ZX dropped the Pokeball, and out came a Porygon-Z. "Now... shall we begin?"
"I see.." Robby said as the information processed through his mind, he clenched his fists, "Lycanroc, start with Swords Dance, then use Brick Break!" Robby yelled as he extended his palm. Lycanroc howled as swords danced around it as it's attack rose sharply. Lycanroc then shot at Porygon-Z with incredible speed, jumped above it, did a spin then shot down at it with a Brick Break.
"Use First Impression!" Guzma called to his Golisopod, Golisopod nodded as it shot at Roten causing lots of damage to it. "Roten!" Landon yelled, Roten got up slowly as it nodded at Landon, "Great, then Turt use Dragon Pulse on Golisopod, Roten use Peck on Scizor!" Roten and Turt both launched their attacks. "Use Protect!" Guzma yelled, Golisopod and Scizor both quickly spawned shields to protect them from Roten and Turt's attacks, "Now Golisopod use Razor Shell and Scizor use X-Scissor!" Golisopod's claws glowed bright blue as it shot at Turt, Scizor quickly slashed Roten using X-Scissor. "Turt use Shell Trap!" Landon yelled, Turt quickly spun around slamming it's shell into Golisopod causing a huge explosion sending Golisopod flying back, however Roten had been hit hard by Scizor's X-Scissor and knocked to the ground, "Roten are you okay!" Roten got up giving another nod as a green aura surrounded it.
Porygon-Z used Protect, blocking the shot. It then flew backwards and used Tri Attack, firing three blasts towards Lycanroc.
No longer gripping his chest, the pain now barely noticeable but still there, Evon reached the top of the mountain. Looking out, he saw the base, as well as a large electrified cage. He ran over, and saw Mallow and Wandering Thunder inside, fighting off a legion of Zs. "MALLOW?! UNCLE?!"
"EVON?! What are you doing here?!" Mallow said, dodging a Z's strike.
"Taking down Faba, I hope." Thunder said, slashing through one of the Zs. "You can't help us right now, kid! Go on to Faba's factory! Stop this at the source! We can handle ourselves!"

"It's Overgrow!" Landon exclaimed happily. "Over-what?" Guzma asked as he shook his head, "Whatever, you're done for, Golisopod use First Impression and Scizor use Flash Cannon!" Golisopod shot at Roten as Scizor backed it up by using Flash Cannon. "Roten use Solar Beam, Turt use Shell Trap again!" Roten and Turt both nodded at each other, Roten quickly began storing light as Turt stepped in front of Roten using Shell Trap, causing lots of damage to Golisopod but also taking damage from both attacks as well. "Now Roten!" Landon yelled, Roten jumped above Turt and quickly fired the Solar Beam at Golisopod, dealing lots of damage.
The rocks all hit, dealing critical damage to Porygon-Z. It used Psychic to float itself out of the rocks, and charged up another Tri-Cannon. It fired the three blasts in positions where is Lycanroc dodged it would still be hit.
