The sun was just beginning to reach its highest point in the sky by the time the grey pickup truck rumbled up Anistar City's main busiest street from the south, rumbling to a stop in front of the doors of the city's Pokemon Center. About a mile or so in the distance, the shining Anistar Sundial reflected the sun's rays so brilliantly that the young man exiting from the truck's passenger side was forced to shield his green eyes for a moment after foolishly gazing at the beautiful structure, practically stumbling onto the cobblestone paved ground. "Thank you again for the ride, Mr. Tanaka! I'll let my mom know I got here safe, thank you!" He bid farewell to the gentleman who was so kind enough to give him a ride all the way from the Couriway Town train station (which getting to in the first place as a trip that took several days) and slung his heavy pack over his shoulders, waving as the truck puttered off into traffic.
Though the day was clear and sunny, perfect to show of the amazing architecture of the area, a brisk wind already seemed to be a nearly constant presence here, no doubt due to the city being so far up in the mountains. With a small shiver, though he couldn't tell whether from the chill or excitement, the teen plucked a Pokeball from his belt and released its inhabitant in a brief flash of light - a large Charmeleon yawned and stretched his arms, claws lazily shown off, uncommonly green-ish eyes narrowed as he took in his surroundings. The boy beamed, scratching his Pokemon on the head before leading him down the sidewalk. "Hey, Drogon. Finally made it, dude. Isn't it so nice? Like something out of a picture," he tried to keep from gushing more of his excitement to his Pokemon, since by the look on the lizard's face he knew he was far too hungry to care. "Yeah, you're right, food first, sights later... okay, so the Pokedex says there should be a pretty nice cafe near the Sundial, let's go."
And so, Damian Rayne and Drogon arrived in Anistar City, one of the first stops in their travels, thoughts of the possibilities of adventure (and lunch) on their minds - at least until Damian nearly walked right between what looked to be a newly started battle, had it not been for Drogon catching his shirt and pulling him safely around. 'Sorry!' the teen mouthed to the battlers, who thankfully weren't yet started... and thus caught Damian's interest. Patting his Charmeleon on the head, the boy led him towards a nearby table of trainers who appeared to be watching the two boys battle. "Uh, hi, all. Sorry to bother, but do you guys happen to know those battlers over there? Looks like it's gonna be intense."
