"Neo Team Rocket?!" Riley questioned. He wondered if he had heard right. Riley had heard of both Team Rocket, the one the legendary trainer Red had stopped and the original Neo Team Rocket in Johto. "You're lying!" Riley told Calvin as his Charizard landed next to him. "I'm going to make you spit out the truth. Charizard, get him!" Riley commanded. Charizard roared and flew straight for Calvin.
" Croyster MR Mime." He said as h is too pokemon fired at Charizard. Mr Mime used a pshybeam while Croyster used a hydro pump. both moves spiraled together to create a purple like beam that headed towards Charizard. "I'm not lying." He said. " The Neo Rocket you were thinking of failed while mine raised from it's ashes." he said. " Now your bones will become it's foundation." He said.
" That's a little too much ham Calvin." Cortez said as he watched the battle unfold from his base in Paleboard city.

Torch spun in the air, avoiding the hydro pump.
"Nice work Torch keep up the movements!" He called up. They obviously underestimated Torch, because it was almost too easy to dodge. Torch let out a Dragon Pulse down on the left side members, and continued to do fly by attacks. Zack was continuing to fight when he realized how to take these guys out faster. He took out a match, and set a ring of fire around him, giving Zack time to put in earphones before the fire died out.
"Music powers me up." Zack said, snapping his fingers to the beat and then continued fighting off the thugs, with stronger punches, kicks, and faster movements.
"Boulder! Earthquake! Keep it in a safe radius though, don't take us down with you!" Zack yelled over, and Boulder agreed and shook the ground making the entire left side gang members to take a long fall down to the second floor. Before Boulder fell, Zack returned him and continued karate-ing all the thugs in the crowd.
"Nion what are you waiting for?! Help out Riley's Charizard already!" Zack yelled over, as Nion was just standing there.

Nion watched his snorlax get punched. Nions eyes widened a lot. " YOU MOTHER FUCKERS" NION SCREAMED. Nion ran over to the Persian. He pulled out his tooth and jumped on it. He stabbed it in the neck with the tooth. " Snorlax psychic on Machamp" Nion screamed. Snorlax ran over to Machamp and grabbed it wrestling it then it used psychic. While then Nion sent out Dodrio and Venusaur to help attack mr mime and Croyster. Dodrio used drill peck on Mr mime while Venusaur used solar beam on Croyster.
The Croyster and mime looked at each other. The mime got infront of the solar beam and reflected it while at the same time Croyster used ice beam on the dodrio. Machamp fell tot he ground Koed. " Return." Calvin said. The persain fell to the ground before it wiggled out of Nion's hold and started to slash at him.
"Retreat." Cortez said " I think I gathered enough intel at the moment."

Charizard took the brunt of the attack and looked a little shaken afterwards. "Damn it! Return Charizard." Riley exclaimed as he watched Nion and Zack go off in the grunts. Calvin's Pokemon were occupied by Nion's so it was now just them. "How did- Fine, if you want to get me dead, then you're going to have to kill me yourself. Riley saw an opening in the roof thanks to the earthquake. Riley came up with a risky idea. "You're not going anywhere!" Riley exclaimed before he ran and tackled Calvin to the floor.
Nion kept getting slash but he punched the persain in the head and jumped on it stabbing it again. "BURN IT HELL CAT" Nion said stabbing it. His snorlax went and used hyper beam on Mr Mime while dodrio got hit by the ice beam and fell down. And Venusaur swooped in behind cloyster and used Solar beam again.
Calvin wrapped his legs around Riled and used his strength to turn them the opposite way. Calvin punched riley in the face before taking out Riley's wallet and took all of his money. He then took out a vile of a name he couldn't say and just called it test subject one and injected what was inside into the boy. " Return." he said to all of his pokemon. before making his grand escape.
The rest of the few grunts that were still standing retreated with their master.
"Ah, what? Had enough?" Zack called out as they ran. Then he looked over near the hole Boulder made, and saw Riley on the ground.
"God dammit Riley you always have to do the stupid shit." Zack said running over and kneeling down to check on Riley. Torch landed next to him, a little beat up from some of the pokemon. He shook Riley, hoping he wasn't dead from whatever they juts injected into him.

Nion ran over to Zack who was screaming for him. Nion checks Rileys heart beat it was beating realy low like 1 beat per min. " Were gonna need to shock him anough his beat to come back". Nion sent out Rhydon. " Thunderbolt on Riley" Nion said. Rhydon used his thunderbolt and Rileys heart beat was normal again. " Omg thank god......what is this serum anyway" Nion said.
Riley leaned up himself and rubbed his left arm, mainly where he was injected. "Yeah, I'm fine." Riley told Zack as he stood up. Everything felt fine which actually weirded Riley out. Why would they inject him with something that hasn't killed him yet. Apparently his heartbeat had been really low, but Nion managed to save him with a thunderbolt. Whatever that thing was, it wasn't meant to kill him. It was probably just to slow his heart rate down or something. Well that's what Riley thought. "Um thanks Nion for saving my life." Riley thanked him.
Riley looked around and realized that Neo Team Rocket had left. Rikey reached for his wallet that was on the floor for some reason and put it back in his pocket. He didn't bother to check it. "Well I'm going back to the stadium guys. We should atleast go tell Layla we're still alive and I want to go see if the matches are up for tomorrow." Riley told Zack and Nion as he sent out his Dragonite. "You should come with us too." Riley said to Will, whom he had noticed earlier. Riley then hopped onto his Dragonite and flew into the rain towards the stadium.
When Riley arrived at the stadium, he went straight to the waiting room to find Layla. He was soaked from top to bottom and he really wanted to go take a shower. Riley was also constantly rubbing the spot where he was injected for some reason. When he arrived at the training room, he found Layla and walked right towards her. He didn't care about the other trainers snickering behind his back. He thought he should maybe wait for Zack and Nion to show but decided he'll atleast tell her they were okay and then explain when the other arrived. "Layla, you won't believe what just happened." Zack flew in on Torch and returned him when they got to the stadium. He followed Riley in right after he entered the training room. He was tired from all the face kicking, and punching, and also wet from the rain. He put his glasses back on and fixed his hair.
"Yeah it was insane," Zack agreed. Super excited to tell the story. He decided he would tell his part and let Riley explain his, so it didn't seem like Zack was trying to focus all on himself.

Nion sent out his Dodrio. He got on and it started running to the tournament area. He got there in 30 seconds. He returned it quickly. And walked inside the tournament building. He saw Zack and Riley. He walked up to them Riley just got done telling Layla his story. " My fellows idk about any of you but that was a crazy fight and I loved it" Nion said falling on the ground purposely on his back. " I Feel so alive" Nion blurted outloud. Nion got up and did a back flip. " I'll tell my story last" Nion said.
"Alright my turn. I came in while Riley was taking on the starting grunts, and helped mow a few down, me and him fought together when Nion showed up, and then when Neo Team Rocket showed, Riley and Nion went over to fight the gang leader while I stayed back and gave a lot of people concussions and broken bones, all the while Torch was flying by damaging from the skies. Then I did some fancy tricks, I guess I like to show off, and sent out Boulder, who destroyed one fourth of the entire roof. We scared off Neo Team Rocket and the gang leader injec- dah" Zack studderd at the last part, thinking Riley might not want the last details told.
"The gang leader ran off after his team." Zack covered up. He rubbed the back of his head with a nervous smile, hoping Layla wouldn't catch on that he just lied. Then he returned Boulder and looked at Riley, giving him a look that said sorry.

"Inject what." Drew said as he looked at them. " Look I know I'm the odd man out but I want to help." He walked closer to them he noticed a strange movement in Riley's eye. He took a step back as all the color in his body drained. " Dude you know your expose to eat cooked meat right not raw."
Nion looked at Riley and started telling his story of the fight. " I Just was sleeping outside like a savadge then it starts raining and I couldent find a building so I found the old hotel and I went inside I heard what I thought was a war or something I went to the top I found Riley and Zack who was just arriving so I beat up tons of them and then the gang people came and snorlax got punched sadly but he koed it with one move and my dodrio and venusaur weakened a cloyster and Mr

Riley rolled his eyes when Zack said the part about injection. 'Of course he said it.' Riley thought to himself. Things got worse when Drew decided to talk about that subject. "What the hell are you talking about?!" Riley asked, obviously confused. "You think I'm some type of barbarian who eats raw Pokemon? Obviously I eat cooked food!" Riley exclaimed, shaking his head.
"Yea Drew that's just absurd throwing out random assumptions like that. He wasn't injected with anything, I just, stuttered thinking about... My doctor's appointment in a few weeks." Zack said. He was surprised by how well he covered it up. Then he quickly tried changing the subject.
"So what do think of all this Layla? We're still alive and kicked some A out there. You proud or mad?" Zack couldn't tell which.

Layla stood up when they all first came into the room soaking wet but for the most part unharmed, she was relieved at that much. She nodded as they each described what happened, she did her best to catch it all even though it was a boat load of information. "Great so now you guys pissed off Neo Team Rocket." She was surprised this turned into such an ordeal but was glad they made it back fine. She raised an eyebrow when Zack quickly cut off his sentence. She dismissed it but when he went on to poorly lie about Riley not being injected with something she instantly gave a death glare directed towards Riley. "I'm glad you all didn't die. But... Would you like to elaborate on what you were injected with Riley?" She asked in an accusatory tone.
Riley was going to back up Zack's horrible excuse but stopped when Layla figured it out. "That was such a fail." Riley said aloud as he looked at Layla's stare. "What?!" Riley asked, putting his hands in the air like he was being accused of something. "You already know everything I know." Riley told her as he put his hands. "I don't know what it is, but I doubt it's anything bad. Look, I'm still fine, aren't I?" Riley stated before feeling another surge of pain coming from the spot he was injected. "Fucking Arceus." Riley mumbled under his breath. 'Of course the pain comes back when I say I'm fine.' Riley thought to himself. He tried his best to not look like he was in pain. He crossed his arms so he could grip the part of his arm that was in pain to not make it look obvious. "Yeah, nothing is wrong at all. So, um, have you seen what the next matches are?" Riley asked Layla, trying to change the topic.
"Ah, fuck. Sorry Riley I tried. My lying skills clearly need some work." Zack apologized. He never was good at lying, but at least the truth was out. They didn't even know what he was injected with, so they weren't lying when they said they had no idea. Zack figured the best way to steer away from the conversation was to make something else equally as interesting, and thank god, a miracle happened just before Layla could get suspicious of Riley's sudden curse.
Round 1 has end with a great battle, and now we move to the second round! Starting in 10 minutes, Zack from Fuchsia City, vs Cody from Agassiz town! Trainers be prepared!

Layla's glare focused in on Riley as Zack made his escape. She took a step back for a second and took a breath. "I guess I can understand why you don't know what it is, but you do realize that this is a huge problem? I guess as long as it isn't hur-." Layla's sentence was caught off when she could have sworn he mumbled something when he crossed his arms. She wasn't quite sure what was wrong with him, he seemed.. uncomfortable. From his body language she thought for a second he mumbled something about her and was trying to get away from her. A little offended that she he was so uncomfortable around her she stared up at him again. "Geez Riley if you hate being near me so much then just go away." She ended with pushing him in the left arm.

Just as Zack left the training room, he caught a glimpse of Layla shoving Riley. He didn't know what that was about, but decided to leave it alone and run down the hall to his spot behind the entrance door. Zack put in his earphones and got jumped lightly up and down, taking deep breaths.
"No pressure, just the fate of your career. Let's do this." Zack said to himself.
Now let's get the second round under way!!!! To kick things off, Zack from Fuchsia city vs Cody from Agassiz town!
The door opened and Zack ran out and into his spot on the battlefield. The crowd, for some reason, did the opposite of what Zack expected, and cheered. Cody came out at the same time and smirked at Zack, as if he had a devastating plan.

"Let's crush this guy, Blastoise!" Cody yelled, throwing out the the giant turtle.
"Alright we got this, come on out, Foliage!" Zack called, throwing out his Victreebel.
"We got this in the bag buddy, just focus on dodging those powerful attacks, and get in the damage you need too." Zack said. Then stood there waiting for the first move.
"Well if you're too chicken to go first, Blastoise crush it with waterfall!" Cody said, and the tanky turtle fired a blast of water down onto Foliage. It didn't do to much damage, and Foliage took the hit well.
"Alright let's do this. Leafblade Foliage!" Zack told his pokemon, and his Victreebel quickly cut the distance between it and the blastoise and slashed at it with a sharp blade of leaves. The Blastoise stumbled backwards, almost falling on it's shell.
"Use waterfall Blastoise!" Cody shouted. "Quick, get under Blastoise!" Zack countered, and Foliage slid under the giant beast as it hit itself with it's own move.
"Keep up the punishment! Rapid leaf blades!" Zack commanded, and the pokemon released constant slashes onto the Blastoise. Unfortunately, it hung on, and held it's ground.
"Hit it with a hydro pump!" Cody ordered. Dammit Zack thought, knowing there was no dodging that move. Foliage took the powerful attack, but it sent him all the way back to the other side of the field.
"Time to play defense, dodge is your only move." Zack told his pokemon.
"Hydro pump, rapid fire! Crush it while it isn't doing anything!" Cody cockily responded. Blastoise fired off several blasts of water at Foliage, but with range on his side, Foliage dodged them all swiftly. Cody grinded his teeth in frustration.
"Fine then, Blastoise Hydro pump...On the trainer. Hehehehe," Cody said devilishly with an evil grin. Blastoise fired a rush of water towards Zack, and he got slammed by it into the back wall. The mist cleared, and Zack fell onto the ground, leaving a dent in the wall where we was smashed.

After pushing Riley her attention was drawn to the live monitor showing Zack's match. She watched for a second as his Victreebell easily dodged several hydro pumps and she gasped as Zack got blasted into a wall from a blast. "Holy shit, what is with your guys opponents? They seem to always resort to attacking the other trainer. Is there NOTHING in the rule book about this?" Layla's full attention went to the monitor waiting to see if Zack could even stand. "You guys always find another way to make me worry, you know that?" She said defeated, glancing back at Riley.

Again, all Will could say. He had been too stunned to fight the Neo Team Rockets and kind of just left awkwardly as soon as he arrived. He was watching the battles and preparing for his own, sizing up his potential foes.

Nion smiled as he watches the battle in the arena the victreebells battling style was very impressive but then something tragic happened on purpose Zack got hit by a Hydro pump. A hydro pump could kill anything and anyone but on a human thats just a fatal and being pushed against a wall. Nion got up out of his seat. The last time I did this the entire day was fucked up and that was today but this is for a different reason Nion said in his mind. Nion got up and ran and jumped in the arena. He ran to Zack who seemed to be brutally injured. "Zack are you ok can you hear me"Nion yelled snapping his fingers.
"Wait what was that for?!" Riley asked as he grabbed his left arm in pain. "You know that's where I got... Actually you're right. Wait, no! That's not how it is! I-I just um..." Riley paused to think for a moment. He didn't want her to know about his pain but he also wanted to let her know that it wasn't because he didn't want to be around her.
For some reason, Riley started to feel a headache coming on. 'No no no! This can't be happening to me now. My match is next!' Riley thought to himself, mentally cursing it. Riley looked for a sofa nearby but there were none available. It was late at night and many trainers wanted to get as much rest as possible. Riley saw one trainer just sitting down, talking to someone who was standing. Riley walked up to the person and asked as kindly as he could if he could sit. The trainer seemed to recognize him, but smirked and turned away. His friend seemed to know what was going to happen next and backed a few meters away. Riley's head was in so much pain that he couldn't think straight. He grabbed the guy in the sofa and threw him to the ground and sat in the sofa himself.
Riley closed his eyes and tried to rest as much as possible. He could hear some talking in the background but ignored it. "But I was sitting there, let me go Crow!" The boy yelled. "No! He's your opponent for the next match. He looks like he needs some rest. Give it too him so he will be ready to be crushed by you, Joey." Crow said, as he stopped retraining him. Joey smirked as he looked at Riley's body and then walked away. Riley had fallen asleep.
Meanwhile, the battlefield had become a mess. The crowd was roaring at the battle. They enjoyed scenes like this when the trainers got mixed into the battle. They booed at Drew and Nion when they got onto the field to help Zack. "Get off the field retards! Kill yourself! Fuck off!" Were some some of the stuff heard. Things got more chaotic when security had to come on the field to escort Nion and Drew out. "The boy is alright. Come with us right now." The security members told Drew and Nion.

Nion decided he was was ok and he went with the security gaurds. Starring at Zack hoping he was ok. Nion starred at Drew who came out to help but then nion smiled at him. Nion was starring ahead of him hoping he could know were they were leading him. "I didn't do anything you know that right I was helping my freind"Nion said to the gaurds.
Drew fallowed them. " I was helping a guy who was hit by a fucking torrent of water." He said to the guards. He let out a breath as he looked at the guy.

The two guards behind shoved Drew and Nion down to their seats. One of them sent out a Machamp and it used its arms to restrain both of them. The main guard had an earpiece attached to him and spoke. "Cortez, I have two of them." Was the first thing he said.

"Phychic on the Machamp the hyper beam.Nion screamed. SnOrla wrestled the Machamp and used phychic the hyper beam pushing the Machamp away from Drew and Nion. Nion jumped out of his seat looking at the gaurds. "Let's tango...."Nion said sending out all his pokemon. Rhydon thunder bold on all the gaurds over there and lapras surf over there Dodrio drill peck all the people over there and Chararizard air slash over here with me Venusaur solar beam the teachers pet"Nion said this punching some gaurds after 1 min they were all knocked out nion has been punched like a good 10 times. "What was that serum you injected one of my freinds earlier."Nion asked the one guy.
"Your pal is as good as dead." The guard said as he slowly stood up and walked towards Nion. "I'm not going to tell you anything." The guard said before a Machamp stood up behind both of them. With a quick snack behind the neck, they both were knocked out. The guard pulled out to serums and injected one in each of them. "That should half then forget everything that happened in the last few minutes." The guard said. A few moments later, they were sent back to the waiting room. Everyone just thought the guards sent them back because of their interruption on the battlefield.
Layla was surprised when Riley reacted with such pain at her light push. "Wait that's where you got injected? So it does hurt? Dammit Riley!" She was cut off as Riley looked like he was in immense pain, threw someone off a couch and passed out. Layla panicked a little and quickly ran over and put her hand to his head and felt his high fever. "Dammit I knew something would happen but no, you all just had to rush in." Layla ruffled through her bag and pulled out a water bottle and her old gray scarf folded the scarf and wet it and held the rag to his head.
