"We're looking to save up, and get one of the nicer apartments on the non-scummy side o'town," Kitri responded, "The ones the stars stay in, when they're not tourin'. But I'm gonna need to actually be a star, before I can afford one."
The honchkrow lit another cigarette. "Y'know that big vaudeville star I was going on about? The one who was watchin' me tonight?" She continued, "That was Dolly Hart. She's got her name up in lights everywhere. Dan said she might come back next week, and see me again. If she likes my moves, she might get me an audition with a travelling show, and if they like me, I'll shoot straight to the big leagues. No more two-bit speakeasy shows for me."
