Private/Closed Let's Hold Hands (A Team Rocket RP)

((First off, this is NOT an open RP, only those who I wish to notify or invite is able to join without my knowing. If you have not spoken to me about joining, ask me in conversation or my Profile.

You're not that old. One day Team Rocket attacked the Kanto region with large amounts of members invading almost every town. Only a few towns were spared from the attack. They set monuments on fire, and wrecked havoc in your town. The gym leaders tried to help, but ultimately was powerless against the new Pokemon they used, Awakedned Pokemon. These Pokemon have a helmet on their head that not only forces them to fight for Team Rocket, but also give them dangerous powers that may normally be not held by legendaries. These Pokemon are 'awakened' for only a short time before returning to normal and collapsing of exhaustion and pain. They entered your house, stole your belongings, took everything away from you, but luckily you were the only one home. Your family was spared, but at the expense of you. Will you cope with the harsh world of Team Rocket? Or go insane to stop the pain?

Right, so that's it. In a nutshell you are taken by Team Rocket to their base. From there you are evaluated. If you are strong and skilled enough to join their forces, you will be forced to join Team Rocket and their malicious plans. If you are deemed unworthy of joining then you are thrown into their dungeons below the white stained base. (I mean, if you want to play that part then fine, but I personally would think it would be boring. It's all up to you.) you are allowed one Pokemon that was your partner before you were taken. A few requirements need it be in place for age reasons.

-Pokemon must be on its first Evolution
-It must be able to evolve
-must be level 10 (if your Pokemon evolves before or at 10 due to leveling reasons, not friendship or stone reasons I'll make an exception to the first rule)
-you may not have the same Pokemon as another person
-Pikachu will count as a first evolution
-Eevee, well, nobody should care because I have Eevee. But I'll state the rules anyways. Eevee must evolve into Vaporeon, Flareon or Jolteon.
-only Kanto Pokemon! No traveling from another region to have Hoenn Pokemon with you!
-No Megas or legendaries, but people should already know that.
-if I have never seen you RP before, please be prepared to show me an example.
Thanks!

Finally, character rules. (Sorry, I really want to prevent overpowered and unfair characters.)

-Charcters must be 13-15 years old
-If you come from any town with a Gym Leader you are force to be part of Rocket. Any other town you will form a rescue society ti save the captives.
-Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, follow the storyline above. Do not post anything about losing your family when Team a Rocket took you captive. No tragic back stories. (To a point. I mean... Just not when the attack happened.)

Alright! Now... Enter the World of Pokemon!

It was indeed a bright and sunny day. The wind carelessly flew across the lush grass if her hometown. A few bright white clouds spotted the pale dawn sky. Mt. Moon's large peaks were in view and she sighed. For as long as she could remember she wanted to go inside of the mountain and explore its depths, but her mother forbid her do so.

Ashen, the name of the dreamer, sat in the grass just waiting for the sun to rise. Curled up in a ball next to her was the Eevee she obtained from her father before he started to travel the region helping those in need. It was a pure goal, but it still did not aid Ashen's family that was run by her mother now. Her father was a scientist who worked on a way to help humans connect with Pokemon better. Her brother Harry always loved to play with her father before he left, but now that he was gone Harry liked to play with Ashen more; which she didn't mind.

Her small house was built on the outskirts of Cerulean City; right near the end of the beautiful river that the Cerulean Cave resided on. Legend says that an extremely strong Pokemon lived there, but judging by how easily her family and friends guarded the cave and emerged from the job unscathed, Ashen highly doubted the myth. From her homestead, Ashen could see the tiny spots of Cerulean City's houses in the distance.

Ashen swiveled her head around at the sound of her mother opening the door on the clear day. Ashen was peculiar in the way that her hair was a greyish color and shone like ashes from a fire. Before her family started to see the hair grow, they named her Ashen because of the fire that killed her uncle a few days earlier. Despite her name alluding to fire and seemingly connects with fire, Ashen prefers water types.

"Ashen! Harry and I are going to Lavender town to go and give out offerings. I know today is very special to you and you need time alone, so why don't you stay here and relax for a bit sweet?" Her mother closed the door with the unmistakable pats of Harry's shoes against the wooden porch following. Ashen waved goodbye to her family until they were completely out of sight. It was true, today she wanted to ask Misty if she could train to be a water type Specialist under her instruction.

Maybe it was two minutes. Maybe ten or even thirty minutes after they left. A small billow of smoke arouse from Cerulean city and all the sudden the quiet and peaceful morning fell to pieces. The screams of terror could be heard from her standpoint and Ashen instantly stood up. Her white jeans were barely stained from the grass and her light blue sleeveless turtleneck unwrinkled as she stood. She was wearing her normal grey boots that match her hair and grey eyes, so that she would be prepared for any training .

Ashen had to push the loose ends of her ashy-grey hair away from her face as she studied the event going on. Loud crashes and shrieks emanated from the peaceful watery city. "Mist, we need to go inside. Quickly!" Ashen swiftly swooped up her Eevee into her arms and dashed inside. She locked all the doors that could possibles be an entrance and ran to her room, where she sat by a wall where she couldn't be seen by anyone looking in.

Three thumps on the door. Then three louder ones. Ashen couldn't hear the voices from her second floor room, but she could almost imagine them yelling 'let us in!'. Finally a loud thunk pushed the door off its hinges and three pairs of footsteps entered the house. Ashen nervously rubbed her thumb over the Mystic Water that hung from her Eevee's neck as they both sat in complete silence.

"Is there anyone here?" "Nope, none in here." "Roger, anyone check up stairs?" Ashen's eyes widened as she knew what was coming. Silently she ran from her room to Harry's room to hide in the shade of a large Blastoise statue. Her heart pounded as she watched the figures enter her room and rummage around. Then they started to make their way through the connecting bathroom to Harry's room. Ashen panickedly looked around the room for anything valuable, and spotted it. A shard of a Water Stone that meant everything to Harry. Ashen ran up to the desk, grabbed the shard and stuffed it into her pocket. Then she ran once more to try to get down the stairs. "Nope...that won't happen." A voice hissed behind her and her vision went black and she fell.

Ashen awoke to find herself curled up in a bight white room. She remember nothing of what just happened, but whatever they did made her hurt badly. Mist was trembling right beside her and Ashen gently scooped up the Eevee and held her protectively. A scientist with a big red R on his lab coat stepped into the isolated room. "You pass, but barely. Know that you will always be considered weak to us." He said gruffly. Judging by her stunned expression, he suddenly seemed to realize something. "They used the Memory one didn't they... I've got to make sure that's those three stop using that. You don't remember the procedure at all do you?" Ashen shook her head, now realizing that she was wearing a white paper gown that you wear at doctors offices.

The scientist walked out of the room and after him a pile of clothing rolled in after. Ashen, who started to become itchy with the paper gown, stepped up to the pile. On one side were her original clothing and the other side was a uniform from the looks of it. 'This is a test.' She thought to herself. Qickly she slipped the water stone shard out of her old pockets and tied it around a blue thread that she pulled from her shirt. Her brother was not the most careful and had a small hole in one end of the Waterstone shard. Ashen slipped the shard through the string and made a small necklace out of it.

When she put the clothes on, she grimaced at how awful they looked. However she found that a door opened when she completely put the clothes on and she walked out into a large room, but this time with other 13 year olds like herself. There were some people who could have been one or two years older, but that's was it. Everyone had a non-evolved Pokemon with them and chatter was nonexistent. Mist whined in her arms as she carefully stepped into the room like all the others.

((I just edited and re read this and saw I typed Grace 2 times...XD sorry. I'm playing as Ashen))

Mina. Her name was supposed to be related to the word mind. She was from Saffron city. She had been playing in her house when the explosions started. Mina's house was insulated so she didn't hear the screaming. Her mom and dad worked at the pokeball factory in kalos, so they were gone for months at a time. Nina sighed.

Her Pokemon heard the screaming though. It jumped right into her arms. Mina hugged the drowzee. That's when she heard the footsteps. They were heavy and sharp. Before she could go to the door, they walked in. Mina saw the team rocket uniforms then blacked out.

"If it weren't for that drowzee, we'd have kicked you out," said a harsh voice. She remembered everything, and it became clear. Team rocket had taken over saffron city, and she was in there hq. A man walked in, smirked, then dropped down clothes. Team rocket uniform. She put on the uniform, even though it hurt herself, and walked out of the room.

The room was filled with other girls that looked like they'd been pulled here too. Only non evolved Pokemon, and they were all, by the looks of it, thirteen to fourteen. A girl with an Eevee walked out, and Mina walked towards her. "So you're stuck here too. Were you from? And, most importantly, how did you survive the tests?"

Another person was thrown into the room as well. Except unlike the others he was uncoiuncious. His Dratini, Azure wrapped his tail anxiously. He had already been a timid Pokemon at first, and after the tests he was just about petrified of anything that moved. When he saw Mina walk over to Ashen he flinched and scurried towards the uncoiuncious boy again. Azure made a series of defensive squeaking noises at Mina, because the boy was in between the two.

"My memory was wiped. I have no idea. I'm from Cerulean." Ashen mumbled, pulling Mist closer to her chest. Another person was thrown into the room, but he wasn't moving. There was a Dratini who seemed dead scared of them. He was squeaking at the girl with her Drowzee who approched her earlier. Ashen gently set down Mist and slowly crouched down onto her knees. "Hello Dratini! I'm Ashen. Is your Trainer ok?" She asked slowly to ensure that she didn't scare the Dragon type. Mist carefully copied her trainers movement and sat down next to Ashen. The Eevee suddenly reached a paw up and whacked her trainer's grey hair that hung down. Ashen glanced at her Eevee and her gaze said everything. Mist sat down and smiled politely instead of messing with her trainer's hair.

Alysen lived in Pewter City. She had dyed her hair light blue, and had dark brown eyes. Her best friend was her Bulbasaur; Felix. She usually wore ripped jeans, a black shirt, and a dark green jacket. She had a younger brother, who was annoying, and of course a mother and a father. They were out visiting another town for a family member's birthday, leaving Alysen at home, because she didn't feel well. She felt better really soon, and Team Rocket had attacked as she texted her friend who had moved to another region. They snuck up behind her, putting a gag over her mouth to muffle her screams as she slowly lost consciousness.

Alysen woke with a start, sitting up. She now wore a paper gown; those horrible ones you wear at the doctor. A woman with a red R on the chest of her outfit came in. Alysen, enraged, got up and ran at her, making the woman squeal in fear. She punched her. Alysen was rather strong, they had determined, as was Felix.

"Why is there only one boy in the room?" She wondered aloud. But she realized why He was shaking so much. The testing. They make you weak, to weak to stand, then it's your pokemons turn. The Pokemon involved are weakened by the strongest Pokemon against them. They pass if you pass out and fight them. If you don't fight, most are thrown into the dungeons. But she failed and made it. And it was because of the moves her drowzee knew.

"I don't know, but don't move too suddenly. Dratini seems scared of us." Ashen mumbled quietly. Mist rolled her eyes at the tone of her trainer but quickly noticed something else. There were many doorways in the large room where they were gathered and behind a certain wall Mist was sure she could hear something, like a small shriek. The tiny Eevee pulled slightly on her trianer's hair and pointed nervously at the wall where the noises were coming from. Ashen looked sympathetic but she refused to move. One was because her muscles ached badly and two she always let Mist learn on her own, so as long as the Eevee doesn't get into trouble Ashen would let her investigate alone.

Someone came in and gave Alysen a Team Rocket uniform. Once she had changed, they ran at her and suddenly cuffed her. Then, they threw her and Felix into a room with other children. She landed harshly on her shoulder, letting out a grunt. Felix landed with a squeal by her. She struggled to get up, finally succeeding. Felix climbed up to her shoulder using his vines as she looked at the others.

Darkness. That was all the boy saw around him when he woke up. Darkness, darkness, darkness. Something heavy lied on his chest. He tried to push it off, but the thing didn't budge. He tried again, to no avail. Everything hurt. His conciousness began to fade again.

"Slooow..."

That voice... He recognized that voice.

"Sloooow..."

His eyes slowly fluttered open. The darkness disappeared, and was replaced by bright light. The heavy thing that lied on his chest was...a huge pink creature with a goofy smile? For a moment, he couldn't remember what it was. Or even remember who he was himself.

Jake Phoenix from Fuchsia City. That was who he was. And on his chest...his long-time friend, Yawn the Slowpoke. Jake smiled weakly at him. That was until he noticed the clothes he was dressed in. Black clothes, with a huge red 'R' splashed over the shirt. "Team Rocket?!" Jake cried out, earning himself another headache.

"Good riddance," someone calmly stated. Jake turned around to see a man in a white lab coat, flanked by two Rocket grunts. "The tests?"

"Passed," one of the grunts shrugged, "That Slowpoke did better than expected." With a shock, Jake realized that they were talking about him.

"Good," the scientist grinned evilly, "Take him to the other recruits."

"Yes, sir!" The two grunts grabbed the dazed Jake and forced him to come with them. Yawn followed closely behind, albeit slowly. Jake lost track of how long they had been walking. Of the amount of doors and corridors they passed.

Finally, one of the grunts opened a door, and they roughly threw Jake inside. They kicked Yawn after him, before closing the door again. Jake slowly got up, and looked around, disoriented. The room was full of other kids his age, both male and female. "What is going on in here...?" he whispered, patting the head of his Slowpoke.

'So many people... And I'm over here.' Ashen pricked at her own thoughts. A few new people have entered. One girl had her hair dyed blue with her hands tied. The other one had a slowpoke with him. The black Team Rocket uniform was on all of them and judging from the confused and frightened looks on some faces Ashen deducted that they weren't volunteer members.

Mist took instant attention to the Slowpoke. The tiny Eevee padded over to the Slowpoke and crouched down cautiously. The scientists either neglected to take off or notice the Mystic water around Mist's neck. The water droplet lay on the floor in front of Mist because she was so low. Ashen gave a mental face palm for her Eevee's curiosity. She's always encouraged that behavior but she's always mentioned to be careful around other Pokemon because they might attack.

"Slow?" Slowpoke lazily looked at the Eevee that ran up to him. The smile on his face was as big as ever.

"What's wrong, Yawn?" Jake asked his Pokémon, before noticing the small Eevee that was crouched down in front of Yawn. "An Eevee?" he wondered aloud, before noticing a girl that looked at the small Normal-type. She didn't have a Pokémon with her, so Jake guessed that the Eevee would be her's. "Yawn, can you stay here for a moment?" he asked.

"Slooow..." the Slowpoke gave a slow nod, earning himself a smile from his trainer.

Jake then walked up to the girl, and noticed that there was another girl with her. There also was an unconcious boy, fiercely guarded by a Dratini. "Uh, is that your Eevee, by any chance?" he asked, gesturing at Yawn and the Eevee.

"Yes it is... I'm so sorry! Mist is a little bit adventurous and I've warned her to not approach other Pokemon. Sorry!" Ashen apologized glancing at Mist before returning her gaze to the person in front of her. "I'm Ashen. Nice to meet you." Ashen introduced holding her hand out.

Mist stood up straighter as she noticed the Slowpoke was smiling. She shook out her fur and let it a small "Vee!" Mist was very cat-like and showed it in the way she approaches Pokemon and interacts with them.

"No problem, no problem!" Jake said. He managed to put up a small grin, despite the situation they were in. "Yawn likes the company of other Pokémon, even though you might not be able to tell by his behavior. By the way, the name's Jacob. Nice to meet you too." He shook her hand.

In the meantime, Yawn kept smiling at the smaller Pokémon. "Slooow..." he let out. He slowly got up, and took a step in the direction of Jake.

Alysen looked at who was in the room. She sighed, looking at Felix. The small Bulbasaur let out a whimper and nudged her cheek with his face. Alysen walked over to the wall and leaned against it. "They forcing us to work for them, then?"

"Ya. I could go into a huge explanation, but all you need to know is that team rocket has taken over kanto, " she explained. Mina looked at Jacob. " My names Mina, and this is my partner drowzee," she introduced, " How'd you survive the tests?"

"I...dunno," Jake said, looking dumbstruck, "I mean, I've heard about tests by some scientist guy, but I don't remember being subjected to one..." He did his best to remember, but he felt like a part of his memory was just erased. "Anyway, nice to meet you too, Mina!" He turned to the other girl. "And why did they cuff you? I don't think anyone else here is cuffed."

"Welcome new Team Rocket Trainees!" A happy female voice chirped over the large speaker in the front of the room. A small peice of the wall moved away to reveal a small section of glass with a brightly dressed middle aged lady standing in front of a very formal looking man with a Perisan at his side. The lady had a different uniform than they did, but it still displayed a large red R on it. The microphone was on the lady's ear.

"We are so happy to have you!" The lady kept her tone optimistic and put emphasis on so. "You have been deemed worthy to become a JR. Team Rocket members. That means that before we put you in work we need to know what jobs are best for you. We will conduct extenisve testing to see how you react to certain situations and your physical abilities." Ashen winced as she remembered the scientist earlier scoffing at her and calling her weak.

Mist broke away from the Slowpoke and pawed at Ashen to be held. The grey hi lighted haired girl picked up the Eevee and held her close. "First we will test your ability in Pokmeon Types. Like so..." The lady scanned her hand on a device within the room. A few Pokemon came out of a small hatch underneath the glass window. There was a Squirtle, Charmander, Geodude, Zubat and another Dratini, but it had a red R on its forehead. "Now each of you will battle one of these Pokemon depending on the ones you have right now. Choose wisely! Go!" The Pokemon lurched forwards at the group of trainees, ready to see who will battle them.

Jake locked eyes with the Squirtle. "I don't know about you all, but the Squirtle's for Yawn and me!" he said confidently. It almost looked like he had forgotten the situation he was in. "Yawn, let's go!"

"Sloooow?" Yawn lazily said, before slowly walking over to Jake, "Slow." He locked eyes with the Squirtle. His smile didn't even disappear.

Alysen smiled, looking at Felix. They nodded. She turned, and Felox leapt off her shoulder, leaping at the Zubat. "Go! Felix! Use Vine Whip!" She shouted. The tiny Bulbasaur bright out his vines and aimed to whip the Zubat.

Jake was about to give Yawn his first order, but before he could do so, he was surprised by the cuffed girl. She apparently ordered her Bulbasaur to attack...Zubat?

For a split second, he looked at her. "Yawn, hold on for a moment, will you?"

"Sloooow..." The Water/Psychic-type wouldn't be going anywhere on his own anytime soon.

Jake quickly ran over to the girl, who luckily wasn't too far away from him. "Yo, what are you doing?" he asked her, "That's a major disadvantage you're putting your Bulbasaur in!"

Meanwhile, the Squirtle sneakily crept closer to Yawn, unbeknowst by him and his trainer.

"Mist! Use Iron Tail!"

Ashen's command reached the Eevee as she launched herself at the Squirtle. Ashen didn't have enough time to register if the attack hit or not before she was attacked by the Geodude. "Hey! I'm not a Pokemon!" She exclaimed.

"Did I mention that these Pokemon are trained to attack humans as well?" The woman chirped happily over the intercom and smiled as she oversaw the matches.

"No! No you didn't Woman." Ashen fumed as she gently tried to pull the Geodude off of her.

Dratini squeaked violently, issuing a rallying cry, before using rage on the geodude. The Dratini took a little recoil and fell to the floor. He wasn't the strongest Pokemon. But he made up for it with speed. He prepared to use another Rage if nessacary

Alysen turned to the boy who ran up to her, eyes blazing with anger. "Dont tell me how to fight my battles!" She snapped. "Felix is a strong Bulbasaur. He took down a few Zubats at once just to protect me." The Zubat, shocked, failed to dodge in time and was whipped several times by Felix. The Bulbasaur landed on the floor, looking happily at Alysen. Alysen smiled and looked back at the Zubat. "Bullet seed!"

Jake took a step back in disbelief and shock. Was this girl for real? He shook his head, and turned around...only to see Mist fending Squirtle away from Yawn. He hadn't even noticed that the Squirtle had crept closer to Yawn. "Yawn, use the Confusion and throw Squirtle back!" Jake quickly yelled.

"Slooow..." Yawn's eyes turned blue-ish. At the same time, Squirtle was enveloped in a blue aura, and was hurled away from Mist and Yawn.

"That'll do it for now," Jake said. He turned around to thank Ashen, but saw that she was under attack by a Geodude. The Dratini from the unconcious boy was helping her, but Jake wasn't sure whether Rage would do enough damage to hit the Geodude hard. "Water Gun on Geodude, Yawn!"

"Slooooow..." A jet of water was shot from the Slowpoke's mouth, aiming straight for the Geodude.

[no, Alysen meant nothing by it, she's just firey and protective]

Alysen continued the onslaught of attacks on Zubat, Felix being incredibly fast, until the wounded Zubat used Sonic [something, forgot the word]. Alysen wanted to cover her ears as the creature let out the horrible screech, but couldn't. "Felix!" She shouted. "Use Vine Whip on the cuffs!"
