It was indeed a bright and sunny day. The wind carelessly flew across the lush grass if her hometown. A few bright white clouds spotted the pale dawn sky. Mt. Moon's large peaks were in view and she sighed. For as long as she could remember she wanted to go inside of the mountain and explore its depths, but her mother forbid her do so.
Ashen, the name of the dreamer, sat in the grass just waiting for the sun to rise. Curled up in a ball next to her was the Eevee she obtained from her father before he started to travel the region helping those in need. It was a pure goal, but it still did not aid Ashen's family that was run by her mother now. Her father was a scientist who worked on a way to help humans connect with Pokemon better. Her brother Harry always loved to play with her father before he left, but now that he was gone Harry liked to play with Ashen more; which she didn't mind.
Her small house was built on the outskirts of Cerulean City; right near the end of the beautiful river that the Cerulean Cave resided on. Legend says that an extremely strong Pokemon lived there, but judging by how easily her family and friends guarded the cave and emerged from the job unscathed, Ashen highly doubted the myth. From her homestead, Ashen could see the tiny spots of Cerulean City's houses in the distance.
Ashen swiveled her head around at the sound of her mother opening the door on the clear day. Ashen was peculiar in the way that her hair was a greyish color and shone like ashes from a fire. Before her family started to see the hair grow, they named her Ashen because of the fire that killed her uncle a few days earlier. Despite her name alluding to fire and seemingly connects with fire, Ashen prefers water types.
"Ashen! Harry and I are going to Lavender town to go and give out offerings. I know today is very special to you and you need time alone, so why don't you stay here and relax for a bit sweet?" Her mother closed the door with the unmistakable pats of Harry's shoes against the wooden porch following. Ashen waved goodbye to her family until they were completely out of sight. It was true, today she wanted to ask Misty if she could train to be a water type Specialist under her instruction.
Maybe it was two minutes. Maybe ten or even thirty minutes after they left. A small billow of smoke arouse from Cerulean city and all the sudden the quiet and peaceful morning fell to pieces. The screams of terror could be heard from her standpoint and Ashen instantly stood up. Her white jeans were barely stained from the grass and her light blue sleeveless turtleneck unwrinkled as she stood. She was wearing her normal grey boots that match her hair and grey eyes, so that she would be prepared for any training .
Ashen had to push the loose ends of her ashy-grey hair away from her face as she studied the event going on. Loud crashes and shrieks emanated from the peaceful watery city. "Mist, we need to go inside. Quickly!" Ashen swiftly swooped up her Eevee into her arms and dashed inside. She locked all the doors that could possibles be an entrance and ran to her room, where she sat by a wall where she couldn't be seen by anyone looking in.
Three thumps on the door. Then three louder ones. Ashen couldn't hear the voices from her second floor room, but she could almost imagine them yelling 'let us in!'. Finally a loud thunk pushed the door off its hinges and three pairs of footsteps entered the house. Ashen nervously rubbed her thumb over the Mystic Water that hung from her Eevee's neck as they both sat in complete silence.
"Is there anyone here?" "Nope, none in here." "Roger, anyone check up stairs?" Ashen's eyes widened as she knew what was coming. Silently she ran from her room to Harry's room to hide in the shade of a large Blastoise statue. Her heart pounded as she watched the figures enter her room and rummage around. Then they started to make their way through the connecting bathroom to Harry's room. Ashen panickedly looked around the room for anything valuable, and spotted it. A shard of a Water Stone that meant everything to Harry. Ashen ran up to the desk, grabbed the shard and stuffed it into her pocket. Then she ran once more to try to get down the stairs. "Nope...that won't happen." A voice hissed behind her and her vision went black and she fell.
Ashen awoke to find herself curled up in a bight white room. She remember nothing of what just happened, but whatever they did made her hurt badly. Mist was trembling right beside her and Ashen gently scooped up the Eevee and held her protectively. A scientist with a big red R on his lab coat stepped into the isolated room. "You pass, but barely. Know that you will always be considered weak to us." He said gruffly. Judging by her stunned expression, he suddenly seemed to realize something. "They used the Memory one didn't they... I've got to make sure that's those three stop using that. You don't remember the procedure at all do you?" Ashen shook her head, now realizing that she was wearing a white paper gown that you wear at doctors offices.
The scientist walked out of the room and after him a pile of clothing rolled in after. Ashen, who started to become itchy with the paper gown, stepped up to the pile. On one side were her original clothing and the other side was a uniform from the looks of it. 'This is a test.' She thought to herself. Qickly she slipped the water stone shard out of her old pockets and tied it around a blue thread that she pulled from her shirt. Her brother was not the most careful and had a small hole in one end of the Waterstone shard. Ashen slipped the shard through the string and made a small necklace out of it.
When she put the clothes on, she grimaced at how awful they looked. However she found that a door opened when she completely put the clothes on and she walked out into a large room, but this time with other 13 year olds like herself. There were some people who could have been one or two years older, but that's was it. Everyone had a non-evolved Pokemon with them and chatter was nonexistent. Mist whined in her arms as she carefully stepped into the room like all the others.
((I just edited and re read this and saw I typed Grace 2 times...XD sorry. I'm playing as Ashen))
You're not that old. One day Team Rocket attacked the Kanto region with large amounts of members invading almost every town. Only a few towns were spared from the attack. They set monuments on fire, and wrecked havoc in your town. The gym leaders tried to help, but ultimately was powerless against the new Pokemon they used, Awakedned Pokemon. These Pokemon have a helmet on their head that not only forces them to fight for Team Rocket, but also give them dangerous powers that may normally be not held by legendaries. These Pokemon are 'awakened' for only a short time before returning to normal and collapsing of exhaustion and pain. They entered your house, stole your belongings, took everything away from you, but luckily you were the only one home. Your family was spared, but at the expense of you. Will you cope with the harsh world of Team Rocket? Or go insane to stop the pain?
Right, so that's it. In a nutshell you are taken by Team Rocket to their base. From there you are evaluated. If you are strong and skilled enough to join their forces, you will be forced to join Team Rocket and their malicious plans. If you are deemed unworthy of joining then you are thrown into their dungeons below the white stained base. (I mean, if you want to play that part then fine, but I personally would think it would be boring. It's all up to you.) you are allowed one Pokemon that was your partner before you were taken. A few requirements need it be in place for age reasons.
-Pokemon must be on its first Evolution
-It must be able to evolve
-must be level 10 (if your Pokemon evolves before or at 10 due to leveling reasons, not friendship or stone reasons I'll make an exception to the first rule)
-you may not have the same Pokemon as another person
-Pikachu will count as a first evolution
-Eevee, well, nobody should care because I have Eevee. But I'll state the rules anyways. Eevee must evolve into Vaporeon, Flareon or Jolteon.
-only Kanto Pokemon! No traveling from another region to have Hoenn Pokemon with you!
-No Megas or legendaries, but people should already know that.
-if I have never seen you RP before, please be prepared to show me an example.
Thanks!
Finally, character rules. (Sorry, I really want to prevent overpowered and unfair characters.)
-Charcters must be 13-15 years old
-If you come from any town with a Gym Leader you are force to be part of Rocket. Any other town you will form a rescue society ti save the captives.
-Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, follow the storyline above. Do not post anything about losing your family when Team a Rocket took you captive. No tragic back stories. (To a point. I mean... Just not when the attack happened.)
Alright! Now... Enter the World of Pokemon!
