Mega Stones are a new type of item for X and Y, and so far appear to be a type of Evolutionary Stone. There are many variants of Mega Stone, each corresponding to a certain species of Pokemon. While some can be found in and around the Kalos region, others are event only items. See our page on Mega Evolution for more details on how these stones work. Once you have beaten the game and upgraded your Mega Ring, some stones can be found between the hours of 8pm and 9pm in certain cities or on certain routes.
