"O-oh, it's fine. Really." Iwao scratched the back of his head as the living room suddenly filled with a lot of children. He never truly realised just how many members of that group there were and how little he really talked to children outside of his own son. "This can only get so awkward, right?" It appeared that Tomiko had the same idea since she initiated a conversation with arguably the most used starter next to the weather. "We've been fine, nothing too interesting happened. Right now our life is one of peace and prosperity, and I hope it can stay that way. How've you all been?" Feeling as awkward as he possibly could be, Iwao felt his shirt clinging to his skin and hoped that the air would lighten soon. It surprised him that no one commented on the utter lack of decorations, but that might be because the kids had manners or were intimidated. Why, he could only guess, but he assumed that his reputation had something to do with it. "You may sit down if you want, knowing Mori, he's gonna take a while before he's ready." As if on cue, a voice was heard from the bathroom.
"Trying to trap me is a mistake. Failing, an expensive one. I think it's time for you to learn how expensive!"
Letting out a sigh, the war veteran turned to Tomiko and Ren. "He's trying to come up with lines he can say against opponents to sound intimidating, but I think we all know that it isn't having the effect he hopes to achieve. Either that or the brush got caught in his hair." A face peeked out of the kitchen and lit up as Kasumi entered the living room. "Iwao, why didn't you tell me that we had such lovely visitors? I'm glad to see everyone's doing fine, would you all like something to drink?" The female jonin offered the group as the awkward tension began to lift, causing Iwao to let out an internal sigh. What would he've done without her?

"She's not here. She won't be here later today either, so don't waste your time coming back here. I do not know where she is, so don't ask me." Daichi stated with an inhospitable expression. He was right, they were her friends. The girl had wolves with her, but he was unsure if they were those ninja summons or not. He didn't really care too much though, they could still bite. Turning around, he slammed the door shut and left the two children with their thoughts. He couldn't handle any more problems involving children today.
