Jin looked to Shōshitsugetsu, noticing her troubled lol on her face. Jin’s small smile turned into a more serious expression. He signaled to come closer, stepping in to close the distance between them.

“Mei is expanding her authority yet again, discounting everyone the council yet again amidst her blunder. He cares not of the people, but only her image on what the people should be. She wishes to abandon all efforts of outward growth, and bend to the wishes of the leaf.”

He closed his fist, putting it behind his back.it upset him greatly what was going on in the inward affairs of the mist. Made him sick to his stomach. It seemed she had forgotten the very day the swordsman had died. He put himself together, clearing his throat and looking to his fellow clan head.

“If she disregards us, we should do so in kind. I request your assistance in the taking of the port towns of the land of fire, in a discreet way that would not set off any alarms from the leaf...and likewise Mei herself. I know with your clan’s unique way of going about this that it is most certainly within your power.”

Kou has his arms wide out like a plane, balancing along a log, walking alongside Orochimaru. They were in the woods outside of the hidden sound. The snake sannin was leading the young boy toward a rocky cave. It had seemed that the cave itself was pitch black, and that it loomed ahead of them. Kou’s sing sing behavior stopped when he saw the creepy cave before him.

“Ah, we are here.” Orochimaru said, looking down at Kou. “Go on.”

“Wha? You mean....in there?”

“Precisely.”

Kou gulped, sweating at the sight. “But um...it looks scary.”

“Come now, it isn’t so bad. All you need to do is locate a package I lost in there. maybe if you do good enough, i’ll Give you a nice little reward when you come back, hm?”

Kou breathed heavily, looking onward to the cave. His neveres were acting up. His hands were shaking, looking in. He was going in. Alone. Without anyone to help him. He looked up at Orochimaru and back at the cave

“Just...a package...right?”

He took a small step forward, his bare feet shuddering on the rocks. He took another step forward, then another. Before long he had been swallowed up by the cave, darkness covering his position. He was inside

‘Do I wait here or can I just go in? What if they actually kill me? Maybe foreigners aren’t even allowed to go in?’ Kiro had been standing outside the gates to the manor for a good minute, contemplating whether or not he should risk his second chance at life. Stepping on such holy grounds without permission would be an act punishable by death. That wasn’t even considering he was an Uchiha, one of the Hyūga’s greatest rivals. Perhaps he could pass as someone sent to clean up the mansion. Kiro already had towels and a bucket, which meant all he need now was...

No, that was out was the question. Kiro could act like a fool and even get on his knees too beg but never would he subject himself to doing the work of a maid. That would be on another level of disgrace, any residue of self-respect he had for himself would be gone. Kiro shook his head, confused where his mindset was. That little girl had done more damage to his head than Kiro could even comprehend. “What the hell am I thinking?” Kiro softy questioned his mentality, clutching the right side of his forehead.

Maybe he had been going about this the wrong way after all. Removing the hand from his forehead, Kiro glanced left then right before looking forward at the gates. It couldn’t be true. This whole time Kiro had been wandering around, not one person came to stop him. Not only had Kiro sent a little girl screeching while running for her life, but also no ninja had come to apprehend him. Though it was unlikely, perhaps Kiro was free to go wherever he pleased. He could walk through these gates and no one would give a damn. Even better, Kiro could ditch the clan grounds entirely. If there was no one restraining him, then why bother going to the head of the Hyūga when he could freely walk right out. Walk out and then what? Get hunted to death?!

Kiro hadn’t forgotten the recent events and knew the Mist, Uchiha and god knows who else were probably gunning for his head. Before he took such a risk, perhaps seeing what the Hyūga had to offer was in his best interest. Though his dislike for the way the Hyūga portrayed themselves was at an all time low, he had to suck it all up and do what was best for his well-being. ‘Screw it, I’m going in!’ Kiro let out a sigh as he hesitantly began walking forward.

Azumi watched as Michi placed on a mask and once more assumed the demeanor of Reaver once more. Reaver may have been…a bit nuts, but it seemed that he saw the benefit of her plan and seemed willing to aid with it. That was a good start, Azumi figured if nothing else as she looked “Reaver” in the eye and gave a nod.

“We’ll discuss that when we are finished here. Lord Kami, takes priority for now.” Azumi said as she turned to Nagato and gave a bow.

“With your blessing, I will strive to aid Amegakure going forward and do my best to do everyone proud.” Azumi said as she made her pledge to Nagato, as his Rinnegan never left either Reaver or Azumi though the divine leader had remained silent for the longest time before he finally spoke up.

“Your idea is bold, and there could be benefits…but, there is also risk to it.” Nagato said as Azumi remained silent while Nagato continued to outline his own concern over the proposal.

“If things go wrong, it could end up making more enemies for Amegakure rather than gain any allies. Remain ever mindful of that, and be sure to report back to us regularly to rely progress. And if I sense this operation poses more risk than reward to my liking I will shut it down. Do you understand?” Nagato said as Azumi took a moment to think over those words before she gave a nod.

“I-I understand.” Azumi replied with a seemingly genuine tone as Nagato remained silent for another minute. Likely he weighed the pros and cons of allowing the two to set off on their quest. before he finally said the words that Azumi before now could have only ever dreamed to hear.

“Very well, then on this matter you have my blessing on the manner. Be mindful of my warning, and serve Amegakure well.”

Tomiko listened to this "big secret" that Mori wanted to share with her, and given his tone he was quite serious as she paid close attention...before he revealed that he had a knitting hobby.

Tomiko blinked a couple times at this. Knitting? That was far from a common hobby among boys their age...much less ninja. So it was unusual, however Tomiko had yet to giggle about it or make a comment on it. As she thought over what he meant by that before curiously she gave an intense stare and inched closer till their faces were a mere inch or two apart as their noses almost touched.

"You knit? Tell me something...how good are you at it?" Tomiko asked, as Mori's hidden talent very well could be the answer to a problem she had buried to this point but would have to face when she returned to Iwagakure. And Mori may have unintentionally provided a solution to her problem, not that he had been aware of the context of course.

Tayuya had naturally been horrified to see her attire taken from her as a pair of other Hyuga appeared with a wide selection of clothing as they offered the Oto-nin in exchange for what she had lost; with even a "generous" offer to make whatever attire she requested. Tayuya rolled her eyes but knew what she wanted made for her as she faced the maids as she covered herself in their presence and had a blush on her face as reagrdless of the Hyuga Head's "justification" she still considered them perverts. The fact that the maids "insisted" they wouldn't judge if Tayuya for some ungodly reason decided to remain bare.

"Well, first the foremost I demand that you make me an exact replica of the clothing that you've stolen from me." Tayuya said as she clearly had some attachment to the uniform that Orochiamru had given the Sound 4 when the team had been formed. Tayuya then began to browse through the selection of clothing offered to her. Much as Tayuya hated and would never admit, there was a respectable selection though she decided to go for a casual wears.

She picked out a pair of black bra and panties before she slipped over a blue t-shirt along with a pair of dark green shorts. Tayuya slipped on some open-toe black sandals when she took note of some hats or rather a green beanie that matched the color of her shorts. Tayuya grabbed it and put it on her head as she took a moment to inspect herself over.

Now the idea of having your skin stitched back together sounds rather painful, uncomfortable and something out of a horror movie, but if you thought that, then you would be incorrect in this case. As Hama fixed Seiun's ankle as if he were some sort of doll, the rouge shinobi seemed pleasantly surprised.

"Well look at that, I guess what you said about the Yuki medical-nin being good at their craft you weren't kidding. Thank you Ms. Hama, or should I call you Hama-sensei, under the assumption that I will be partaking in Mistress Tsuki's training as a sparring partner or other minor tasks. Either title is fine,"

Really hoping I can be free soon, kinda don't want to hold up this bravado anymore, it's sickening me down to my core.
Taiyo
Upon hearing Sakura's sudden surrender upon both her's and his behalf, he had no idea what to think, sure he's never won all of his fights and he retreated every now and then and again, but all of his battles had a proper conclusion, resulting in a mixture of confusion and anger upon his face.

Excuse me, rule number one of my code is that I never surrender, even if the odds seem bad. I'd see this fight to the end if I didn't think you have something under your sleeve. What I've found out about you in the short time I've really got to know you is that you are a consistent person, like me. Normally you'd see this fight through to the bitter end. This is like a tactical retreat, instead replace retreat with surrender. As such, I'll let it go on.

As this mental revelation was taking place, the Leaf-nin had been lettting out a mess of disgruntled noises, indicating his initial disapproval of this descision by Sakura before a sigh, indicating an allowance if the plan.

You better not screw this up Sakura...

Hama chuckled at seiun’s reaction to her surgery on him. surprising for a murderer turned slave to turn around and giv her such a compliment. He tapped him on the nose, looking down with a sly look.

“I will allow it, if you will play nice with your teammates. So no stabby stabby, okay?” She said in her sing-song voice. “Great, now I have a three man cell. Wow, never thought I’d be leading another one of those.”

She wiped her brow, between seiun, Tsuki, and the unknown third member of their cell, she felt as if she were reliving the glory days of her youth. She gave a whiskfull sigh, drifting off in her own thoughts, almost forgetting about the frozen demon brothers.

Reaver carefully listened to their ‘Kami’, but oddly didn’t hear a no in his words. It seemed as if the red headed Kage had just accepted Azumi’s idea. Reaver knew later down the road this would go into the beanie wearing ninja’s head like god was blessing her or some bogus like that. Be assumed though not to ruin the moment for her, staying silent until Nagato was done with the speech, approving the group.

He got up from his previous respectful position, stretching his back and winding his arms as if he were a thirty year old wrestler instead of the frail body he he displayed.

“That settles that then. If your the planner Azumi, go ahead and point in the right direction. My joints are aching for action.”

Despite not only coming from a battle that nearly took his life, and also his Reaver Mk VII suit being torn out of comission, he seemed oddly hyped for battle. It’s like none of those listed variables even phased him. Either arrogance, confidence, pride, or a mix of all three made Reaver Reaver

Kou tip toed in the dark cave. Droplets of water were heard inside hitting against the coarse rock. A cold wind rustled through the cavern, draining a shutter from him. Kou was getting the chills just being in there. He stopped for a second, putting his hands into his unkep hair.

“Keep it together Kou buddy...” He said to himself. “Find the package and get out...that’s all you gotta do...”

His bare feet padded against the ground, approaching what seemed to be a clearing in the cave. A small bit of natural light from bioluminescent moss allowed him to see where he was going, which he marveled at a bit. He touched the spongey moss, giggling a bit at the touch. He had to admit, it calmed him down some.

After following the moss for some time, he came across a small cubical container. Wrapped in a paper bag, it seemed to be the package Orochimaru was looking for. Kou smiled, glad to be at the end of the endeavor. As soon as he picked up the package however...a set of red eyes glared at him from the darkness. He looked alarmed, his eyes growing big around and his face turning pale.

The pair of red eyes began to show its true form. It was a giant rodent, with black and brown fur. It was like a rat that had grown to be ten feet tall! The giant rat reeled up, standing up even taller than before. It’s long rodent like tails waggled around, watching Kou and the package. Kou gave a sheepish grin.

“Um....hi?”

"Well, my mom got into it when she was pregnant and taught me when I was old enough to not stab myself whilst knitting so I am atleast decent at it. I have around 5 years of experience, why do you ask? Do you want me to knit something for you?" Mori asked as Tomiko got a bit too close for his liking, her eyes were too intense for it to be just a regular question. She wanted something from him. "Excuse me, but could you back off a bit? You're a bit too close for my liking, so if you could take a step back, that would be appreciated."

Whilst he was talking, he thought of what Tomiko could possibly want to use his hobby for. Did she need clothes or blankets? He assumed that it had to do with her home situation, but he couldn't say for sure as Tomiko's pride would probably not allow her to ask for help which is a shame since she had a lot of people willing to help her.

Hinagiku

As she'd expected, the sound girl had chosen to take a replica of her former attire. It was a rather common occurrence for people staying in the Hyūga clan, so the maids jotting down Tayuya's order did so with practiced movements. At this moment, yet another maid entered the room, this time, all she carried was a small, slightly hefty envelope. Without waiting for a query, Hinagiku explained.

"In that envelope, you'll find keys and a basic map of clan compounds. Your residency is highlighted, just follow the legend. If you wish to leave clan compounds then you'll need an escort, but apart from that- you're free to go. Ta-ta~"

With her duty completed, and her schedule still rather packed with other matters and village affairs to attend to, Hinagiku hurried Tayuya from the room, only stopping briefly to tag a few extra words onto her explanation.

"Oh, and dinner is served from 6-10 pm at the Clan Mess Hall, and the Bathhouse opens at 8 pm."

"I have a plan in mind, though before we can act upon it we need more members to build up strength. And I know exactly where to start looking." Azumi explained to Reaver, as things seemed to be lining up perfectly for her. She managed to find Reaver's hidden resolve as well as get his willingness to aid her cause. And to top it all up she managed to get blessings from her divine Kage himself.

Azumi would have added on to her explanation, though to what degree with Nagato & Konana in the room unclear, before a subtle rise to Nagato's attention caught her attention and likely Reaver's as well as he faced the two with his Rinnegan and quickly cast a subtle but powerful Genjutsu. Azumi had no way to expect or defend herself from it as the Genjutsu caused her eyes began to flutter and she felt herself grow sleepy & weak.

Nagato's aim to knock the pair out with the Genjutsu, as he would make a subtle motion for Konan to take their limp bodies out of the hideout to preserve its secrets. Though he had parting words for the pair as Azumi fell into unconsciousness.

"You two are among Amegakure's future. Do well to let that potential shine, and do not let the village down."

Tomiko had a blush on her face, out of the realization that she made Mori uncomfortable by moving so close on top of Mori asking why she desired as she took a moment to back up a step or two so she wasn't in Mori's face as she tried to think of how to phrase this. In truth, she had not been so used to asking for help prior to her trip in Konoah. Given her pride, which while she was unaware that Mori suspected, though that was only part of the reason for her initial reservation.

"W-well, I um...there is a friend of mine back home. W-who really needs something of value stitched up..." Tomiko started to say, a little bit of a slur to some of her words as she had tried to dance around the specifics. But eventually she let out a sigh as she decided that they were needed in this manner.

"....my friend Naomi's prized companion. A stuffed bear, M-mr....Snugglebottom. B-before you laugh, know we don't have much in the slums of Iwagakure so anything to lift our spirits is cherished; and Naomi loves her little bear and I promised her I would pick up on some knitting or do something to help patch him off after his head was severed by one of our local gang of jerks. I managed to recover the head, but no one in our group can knit well and well...I think you'd be of great help." Tomiko explained, as she felt a shrink to her pride to ask for help but also some shame for Mori as she had to ask a ninja to do knitting for her.

Tomiko could only hold to hope Mori would understand and not think of it as too silly or stupid a request.

"Alright, so for all intents and purposes she has a green card." Rika said as she handed Kenji a medical note she had written in behalf of Aisha who kept on the "cast" which outlined she needed to remain in Kumogakure for the immediate future for regular "checkups" with herself that should be enough to justify her presence within the village. Kenji accepted the notice as he slipped it in his pocket as he gave a nod at his teammate.

"Thank you Rika, I owe you big time." Kenji said as Rika rolled her eyes and folded her arms over her chest; an amused smirk on her face.

"And I'll make sure you remember that, but that's beside the point. Now that she is here, what is your plan? You said you wanted to train with her on top of show her around. If people catch her running around and teaching you on a "bad" leg then they'll know what a sham this all is." Rika pointed out as Aisha smply listened to the conversation between the two while Luna & Sky likewise observed as Kenji had a small grin on his face.

"Well, for that we'll find a nice secluded spot that I showed you not too long ago." Kenji explained as Rika has to think it over before her eyes widened slightly.

"That cave? I feel I should remind you the last time we went there you hurt your leg and we ended up lost for two hours." Rika pointed out, as she seemed to lack the same fondness over the memory as Kenji had. Kenji merely chuckled in response as he rubbed the back of his head sheepishly.

"Y-yeah, but I am a bit smarter now then I was then. And I've checked it out myself before I left for the exams, an obscure place outside the village like that would be perfect to use for training." Kenji added on as he highlighted the real reason for its selection. Which gave Rika a moment to think over though Aisha seemed convinced as she had a toothy grin in response though she decided now was time to interject with a key question she had.

"Like the way you think Kenji. Though there is something we need to do if you wish to learn the ways of your inner animal. I ask this, are there any...wolves, or ninja dogs that can be found here in Kumogakure?"

Madoka scanned through the various puppet designs that the scroll highlighted. In truth, there was any number of directions she could go with it though she had to be mindful of what she already had with Raven. An acrobatic, projectile specialist with flight needed something contrasting to serve as a compliment. Something that could take a blow better, and provide ground support with Madoka as Raven would take to the air.

And that's when she saw it, an armored beetle puppet design that seemed to have a battering ram horn feature along with reinforced layers to act as armor. Should Madoka make a tweak or two of her own, it would fill a very key role as she showed the design to Chiyo and pointed at it.

"There, I need some defense, striking power and overall bulk in my arsenal. I believe this would be the ideal choice." Madoka said as Chiyo overlooked the model and gave a nod as she could understand the reasoning.

"Very well, but remember to stand out as a puppet master one must think of this as a template not a reference. Take it and make it your own, that is how one shines in our craft." Chiyo explained as Madoka understood that quite well before she would take her to a room with various parts and fresh stacks of wood (Among other materials) as the time to begin work had only just began.

Tsunade had an eyebrow raised as she overheard Sakura's "surrender", which quickly shifted to a smirk as she folded her arms over her chest as the cherry blossom petals rained around her.

"You think I am that stupid. The petals, this odd surrender. I know my appearance doesn't show my experience well, but I was far from born from yesterday. It will take far more than this cheap Genjutsu to distract me." Tsunade replied, as she showed her justified confidence which only caused "Sakura" to smirk in response.

"Yeah, guess you got us there. After all, unlike you, we don't give up when things get tough and you could never put out our competitive fire." Sakura said, as she made a subtle emphasis on fire. Something "Sakura" hoped that Taiyo would pick up on as the illusion vanished and the real Sakura fired several kunai and shiruken at Tsunade from behind within her leaf & smoke cover.

Clang!

Which had done nothing, as Tsunade turned and simply caught a kunai with her finger and spun it around on her finger as she blocked the other projectiles. As she had not even left her spot, a show of her dominance to this point...and her arrogance, which Sakura counted on as Tsunade's focus shifted to her which left Taiyo with an opening. And not just any opening, if Taiyo could look at the flower petals that had dropped he would note that they had hidden miniature paper bombs attached to each one which meant a simple spark of fire would be enough to set them off and create a chain reaction of explosions all around Tsunade which should provide an explosive surprise to the Sannin.

It all hinged on Taiyo being able to spot it, which Sakura could only hope he could as this was their best chance to strike a blow against the Medical Legend.

----------
Tayuya had an eyebrow raised as she accepted the map and had been informed of how things would work here. Seems she had freedom to walk around the place, and could leave the compound so long as she had an escort. Both of which caused the Oto-prisoner to raise an eyebrow.

"That seems like a crappy way to keep me prisoner. I'd expect a much harsher stance on a clan known to murder people at the drop of a hat to protect clan secrets. There's something more to this, some kind of Genjutsu fuckery I bet." Tayuya said, as she assumed an ulterior motive to allowing such freedom to a prisoner and former enemy of the Leaf as just the idea of being given such a lenient treatment seemed unrealistic to her.

And she's be destined to not get answers, as she was "ushered" out by the Hyuga as the door slammed shut. Tayuya let out an annoyed sigh as she glanced at the map. These Hyuga were fucking with her, and she was getting ever annoyed by it.

---------
"Tsunade huh? Been a long time since she's made an appearance within the Leaf.

"Too long for my taste. I don't see how the majority can support bringing in someone who for all intents and purposes has been an outsider to the Leaf for years to run the Leaf? Even for a temporary period."

"The only silver lining is that it is doubtful she'll accept the position."

"One cannot run on the assumption that she'll turn down the offer. As evident by this invasion, we have been too unprepared to factor things like that into the equation."

A private meeting had been arranged by the secret Root leader, Danzo, along with two senior members of the Village Council. Homura Mitokado and Koharu Utatane, as it appeared that while the council as a whole voted in agreement with the Clan Heads on the matter from the Clan meeting it had not been an unanimous decision. And some of the most powerful voices seemed to share Danzo's view that the decision to recruit Tsunade and name her temporary Hokage. Though what was to be done about it now remained for debate, as Koharu was quick to bounce off Danzo's command that they needed to not rule out the idea that she'll accept the position.

"If that is the case, what can be done? She'll have the backing of the council majority and the Clan Heads." Koharu as she stated the obvious road block that would keep them from having any way to place Tsunade "in check" to which Danzo simply relied with a nod.

"For now, yes. Which is why we simply must go with the motions and offer our support. However, I promise you both the time will come when her support turns on her. I assure you of that much..." Danzo said, which caused both council members to raise some eyebrows as it appeared Danzo had an idea or two in his head.

What that idea was? Only time would tell...

"Oh, so you want to be treated like a prisoner?" Shura still was leaning against the wall across the hall and heard what Tayuya asked over the door before she came out. "Wow that took awhile, I was getting bored of waiting." He thought before standing upright and looked towards Tayuya. "No Genjustsu involved here, I'm not sure if every one of us think like this but I personally don't believe that treating our prisoners like trach will change anything, so why torture them unnecessarily." He explained. "Miss Hinagiku probably thinks similarly. She also likes messing with people." He added. Shura stretched his back and sighed. "And about the killing to keep our clan secrets safe, we don't really do that anymore." Shura responded. Taking another look at Tayuya, Shura looked at her clothes. "Nice wardrobe." He commented casually.

“Brainwashed you say? Heh... well there’s too many situations to really answer that question shortly. But the thing I could say on normal conditions is that we would bring you back to the mist to ensure you are actually brainwashed and then we can trust what you say. The conditions for you two were worse than on normal situations but we couldn’t help both of you. We were sent to retrieve a clan member and that’s what we would do. Kiro, brainwashed or not infuriated our head to the point of his punishment and couldn’t have been brought back into the Mist for getting rid of any brainwashing inflicted on him if there was any. I’m sure if that was you we wouldn’t let that happen, no matter what. You’re a Yuki, while Kiro is a mist ninja he’s also an Uchiha, and like Lord Jin says, you can’t always trust them. I’m sorry that we couldn’t retrieve your friend, it’s because we were on foreign soil. If we were near the mist we couldn’t brought him back and had a proper investigation to him being brainwashed. At least we succeeded in our mission.”

Raiku
“Fire Style: Fire Ball Jutsu!”

“Wind Style: Great Breakthrough!”

A giant flame started flowing through the air as a large gust flowed into it, fueling it and making it larger. The creators of the great fireball seemingly training, a bird and a ninja.

“That’s the biggest one yet... our teamwork is getting better,” Raiku said.

“Of course! After all, you have me, and I’m basically the best help you can get,” Ramer replied.

Raiku grinned beneath his mask and decided to stop and rest for a while.

“Hey Ramer, how come you can do jutsu without using hand seals?” he asked.

“Well... it’s pretty complicated for someone like you to understand. But we summons can do jutsu just as good as you guys!”

“So can you teach me?”

“W-what? N-no... my way of doing it like I said is too complicated for you to learn. Besides, you Uchiha are better off training with fire style, other elements are usually difficult for you guys to learn.”

“Hmm... well some Anbu can do three elements... and I wanna be a member of the Police Force as strong as an Anbu... so I need to learn at least one more type!”

“You’re gonna have to find a human sensei to teach you them. Also my time’s running out, peace!”

Raiku didn’t even notice he was running out of chakra, but when he checked he saw it was true. In a moment Ramer poofed away and Raiku was left alone. He decided to go back home and eat lunch.

Suddenly he heard a noise and someone entered the room.

Took him long enough.

“Well? Aren’t you going to greet your father?”

Raiku gave him a small smile without his mask for once and rolled his eyes.

“Welcome back after the mission, dad.”

“Hmph, you should be training instead of eating. You’re not an Akimichi.”

“I’ve been training all day improving bit by bit.”

“Good. Say did anything happen with the clan after the invasion?”

“Well... no but this one foreign Uchiha was acting insane and is now a prisoner of the Hyuga.”

What? That... doesn’t make any sense. The Uchiha from the Exams maybe? I’ll need to ask the others about that... Senshu thought.

“You said you’ve been training all day, correct? Why don’t you play with your friends, isn’t that what kids your age do?”

Play with my friends??? Is this the same guy that was trying to scold me for eating a minute ago??? He hasn’t told me that since the Academy!

“Sure dad, whatever you say.”

Raiku gave a shrug and finished eating before putting back on his mask and leaving his house.

Where even are my friends? Taiyo’s on a mission and... huh... I actually don’t really have any friends. I just mostly trained in the Academy... wow. I’m a bit of a loner. Hmm... maybe Shiho? I wonder what the weird perv girl’s doing....

Raiku decided to begin to walk towards the Hyuga compound in hopes of finding his former team mate. Even if it was only temporary, she seemed like a nice enough person and the only one that comes to kind.

Mori listened to Tomiko explain her problem and refrained from laughing or really showing any sort of emotion. He just stood there, stoic until a small smile crept onto his face. "That must have been pretty hard for you to say. I will help you, this Naomi deserves every bit of happiness she can get. I will give Mr. Snugglebottom his head back, don't worry. I would have to have a heart of stone not to help her."

He patted Tomiko's shoulder and walked towards Iwagakure. "Well, we don't want Naomi to spend another day without Mr. Snugglebottom, do we?" He turned to Tomiko and flashed a grin that might rival Might Guy's one day with some more training. "If there are more things that I need to knit, don't hesitate to ask me. I'd be happy to help."

Now as many of you may know, our favorite firey genin isn't the sharpest crayon in the tool drawer. However, he did have common sense and between the obvious emphasis in competitive fire and his attention now being drawn to the flower petals, he knew what he had to do.

"I'm on it," Taiyo turned on FBS as he wanted a boost for this fireball, "Fire Release: Fireball Jutsu!" In that moment a firey ball of chakra exploded from his hands after performing the hand seals. He made sure not to miss, and to make the fireball a reasonable size.

This better work, otherwise I'm done. If this fails no more plans, just guns blazing and hoping she changes her mind.

It pleased Tsuki that her servant would be getting some training with her, he was much more experienced than her and having a potential sparring partner always helpedtraining when it counted, however there was a certain word that came out of Hama's mouth that piqued Tsuki's interest.

"Hama-sensei, who is this third member of our cell that you speak of?"
Seiun
The rouge shinobi's face turned a bright pink of embarrassment from being tapped on the nose like that. Moving past that, Seiun quickly regained his facade and attempted to sound normal.

"Of course Hama-sensei, no more stabby stabby!" After that, Seiun went behind a tree to clear up the blush from his face, but to his best efforts this isn't working.

I don't think this was a good idea...

Hama looked over to Tsuki, who seemed rather grateful to have seiun in the training regiment. She gave a arched brow at tsuki’s comment, putting a hand over her mouth.

“Oh? Curious aren’t you? I wouldn’t have expected anything less from my water lily~”

She patted her on the head, laughing softly to herself. One of the demon brothers began a muffled plea for help as she nonchalantly silenced him, freezing his gas mask. She took her hand from tsuki’s Head to put it on her hip.

“The third memeber is someone your quite a aquainted to. Before I met you, I was the personal tutor of a rather peculiar boy named Kai.”

........

“I’m half tempted to say that it’s that tailed Xeno inside of you saying those words...” Kai grumbled, looking off into the ocean of Kiri. “That leaf village...the mongrol greeners will pay dearly. When I’m the head of the clan I will spell doom upon their village. One way or another it will happen. And then I will rescue Kiro from their clutches.”

Kai got up from his sitting spot, looking onwards toward the distant treeline to a nearby island. It was no doubt where SHE was. He brushed off some imaginary dust and peered over there.

“Until then, I need to train as much as possible with my sensei. I need to hone them as much as possible to ensure my vision to come to reality.”

Reaver staggered, for reasons he couldn’t explain he was feeling woozy. His knees buckled, the trance of Nagato’s rinnegan flashing in his brain. He couldn’t process what was happening. He fell
To the ground, clanging against the tiles, his eyes fluttering down, Nagato’s words ringing in his head.

"You two are among Amegakure's future. Do well to let that potential shine, and do not let the village down."

The giant rat screeched out at Kou, enraged at his very precense in the cave. The rodents twin pink tails thrashed about in a fit of anger as the red eyed rodent loomed itself. In a quick movement, Kou snatched the bag right as the giant rodent broke into a gallop toward him! Nope nope nope nope nope nopeee!

The rat was catching up quick to the small kid, it’s legs catching more distance than his. He realized this too. He racked his brain for a good plan of attack here. Then, an idea popped into his mind. He rushed around a corner, the rat fiercely in tow. When it turned around, it didn’t seem Kou at all, just the dense rocks of it’s cave.

Taking cover in a dense pile of boulders and rubble, Kou tried to calm his breath from the rodent’s precense. It was a huge beast, a huge beast that was blocking his exit path. This wasn’t good...

Tomiko was relieved that Mori had not found her request to fix a stuffed animal to be too silly to do and smiled as she gave a nod to Mori mentioned he could knit anything else which was an incredibly generous offer.

"Thank you Mori, you are too kind. Naomi will appreciate it. We all will." Tomiko replied with a smile as they approached the main gates of Iwagakure and saw a pair of guards outside of them as they faced the pair.

"Identification please." One of the guards said as Tomiko displayed her Iwagakure headband as well as her ninja card which, upon a nod from the guards she had been granted access inside. The other guard turned to Mori and waited for him to make the same gesture as Tomiko to get inside the village.

Tsunade's eyes widened a bit as she overheard the fireball jutsu as she ignored Sakura's attacks which appeared obvious enough as she gathered chakra to her finger and prepared to fire a powerful snap to try and snuff out the fireball.

Woosh!
Tsunade cursed as she heard the sounds of weapons Sakura had tossed at her, which momentarily distracted the Sannin as she changed gears and moved to jump to avoid both attacks. Though this allowed the fireball to make contact with the cherry blossom petals and the paper bombs within as she attempted this...

BOOM!!!!
A series of explosions soon created a sizable smoke cloud within the area Tsunade had stood as the paper bombs had been triggered and exploded in rapid succession; much like a very destructive set of fireworks. A shockwave passed by Sakura as she guarded against it and focused on the smoke while she kept her guard up. Searching for signs of activity. Which seemed....oddly not present, least in the immediate aftermath.

D-did...did we really get her?

Tayuya rolled her eyes at Shura's comment which regarded her clothing as she focused in on everything else he had said. About how the he and he presumed the Hyuga Head named Hinagiku seemed to believe that torture was not how to go about treating prisoners. How they had moved past the clan infamous for slaughtering people to preserve their secrets. Something the Oto-nin all found skeptical.

Suuurrreee....and I am queen of the world.

"Yeah, how "generous" of you guys. I bet you all deserve pats on the back for being that much better than the rest of your village. I'll hold the belief all this is to screw with me. There's no such thing as genuine intentions when it comes to this process." Tayuya said as she displayed more of her bitterness and skepticism towards Shura.

"I suppose since I have this "freedom" it is fair of me to ask what the place is like? I am told of a bathhouse and not much more. As well as where that back stabbing bitch is? Is he out throwing somebody else under the bus...seems to be what he is good at." Tayuya said, as she asked for a tour without directly asking and had also made an "indirect" reference to Kiro.

Konan

The neutral expression decorating her delicate features was a thick mask concealing the complex swirl of emotion that pooled with her pupils. She gave a sidelong glance towards Nagato while her skin began to peel, strips of paper falling from her body until she'd transformed into a white swarm of floating stationary. In surging waves, the paper encased the two children, carrying their limp bodies skywards in accordance to the will of Amegakue's angel.

As she departed the room, Azumi and Reaver in tow, she seemed to sigh, her voice filled with uncertainty- yet still confident, "Amegakure's...future..?"

With a doting gaze, she watched over the duo as she returned them to the field of their spar, laying them where she'd found them. She lingered for a while, her body recondensing as strips of paper piled on atop the other, synergizing into the form of the blue-haired angel. Watching the prone duo she muttered to herself as if answering her own question, "Perhaps..."

Shōshitsugetsu

"Oh..?"

Her voice thoughtful, Shōshitsugetsu mulled over Jin's words. Not the former words- she couldn't care less about Mei's expanding authority- but rather his request to take over the port towns across the land of fire. The former was of little concern to her, the Hōzuki clan were rarely seen, even with the Mist village itself, their clan so secluded it appeared to be extinct. The political dealings of the Mist village were something the Hōzuki clan preferred not to interfere with, a forever neutral party if you would. Few times had the clan ever dabbled into the political air of the village, and they had refrained from doing so ever since the death of the second Mizukage, Gengetsu Hōzuki. Nowadays they revealed in their underwater kingdom, heeding only the most direct of calls aimed at their clans.

They had no interest in expanding their land, the ocean depths they controlled already allowing them more space than the entire Mist village ever could, and they had all the power they needed, being akin to their own kingdom. But, as with most clans in the mist, they did seem to have a bad habit of bloodlust that was ingrained into their very bloodline, driving them to combat for the mere novelty of the art. Perhaps they weren't as crazed as the
Karatachi, or even the Hoshigaki, but their lust for battle was ever present, and when combined with their adept skills in genjutsu and reclusive nature they'd become excellent assassins.

Sending a hand careening through her hair, a vivid shade of aquamarine, she spoke calmly, "You've been scheming...but I'll indulge you. We can help you discreetly take control of a few port cities, but it's a dangerous job, your motives...and our rewards had better be worthwhile."

“Rewards? Does all of the water space from here to the land of fire constitute as a fitting reward?”

With the harbor towns gone or under their control, that gave the reclusive hozuki clan an excellent bridging point, not needing to worry shot getting caught by the civilians in the towns, allowing them to whatever they wanted in broad daylight, something of which was very rare for them. Not to mention in the privacy of the open ocean away from the mist village proper if they wanted.

“Good to hear I can depend on you for this matter. This speaks volumes to our entire clan. Perhaps we can cooperate with one another in the utilizing of this land, if one were to create let’s say...a vantage point of sorts. An outpost.”

Back on the surface, the Yuki district was kicking into overdrive. Several building that were under construction had been noticeably quickened in pace. These buildings were built thick and were built in a way as if they were going to become very tall. One of these buildings, the prototype seemed very close to being finished.

The prototype building seemed to be like a citadel tower of sorts, covered in steel with several decks on it. They had ports on several parts of the decks, spherical outlines to mark them. They were dense and sturdy, powerful looking buildings with searchlights attaches to their tops as well. It was a precursor to what was yet to come

........

Kou’s breathing was slowing as he tried to calm it so the giant rodent hunting him couldn’t catch wind of his location. It’s ears flexed and fluttered, seemingly narrowing down his location. He couldn’t see what it was doing, or if it was even there. He could only hope for the best. He crawled from the cover back into his intended path, the rat’s attention averted briefly. That is, until he broke out into a run.

The ran saw him beginning to run toward the exit. It growled, galloping toward him with howlsnof anger. The howls slowly shifted from anger to frustration, then almost one of sadness. Kou noticed these shifts, getting near the daylight of the cave. He paused in his tracks, looking back to the giant rat. It’s big beady eyes seemed desperate, although it didn’t look to be malnourished or desiring anything.

Kou’s eyebrows glided down his forehead, during in a downward crescent. He couldn’t explain the creature’s behavior. Then something in his mind clicked. The package. The same one he was ordered by Orochimaru to retrieve to him. He took it off his back, putting it at chest level. He opened it to find a large surplus of food. He was quite surprised so much food fit In the deck In bag. Steak, fish, cheese, ramen, and much more were inside. He couldn’t believe it.

He looked to the rat, who’s eyes begun to reflect light from the cave’s entrance. He had to look carefully, but he could see numerous other smaller beady eyes coming from the chest of the rat. There were smaller rats, hanging in a pouch.

“They are babies...” Kou said out loud. “You were trying to feed your young...”

Kou’s mind flashed back to his orphanage days. The days where the leaf had an orphanage that is. They had a gluttonous caretaker who took any donation to the orphanage for herself and never gave to the needy. She would take the food, money, and everything that was donated and gorged on it...all until the orphanage was closed, sending everyone on the street to fend for themselves.

Kou swallowed those bitter memories, looking at the little kits inside their mother’s pouch. If he were to leave now...he’d be no better than his caretaker in the past. He knelt down to the ground before plopping on it, sitting atop it criss-crossed.

“Here, they need to eat more than I do.” Kou said, holding up a loaf of bread. “Come on, I won’t run.”

The mother rat bared her teeth, not one hundred percent sure that Kou was being genuine. It approached the grey haired boy with a hiss, it’s tails slamming against the ground as it bounded toward him. Kou snapped the loaf into several pieces and scattered them across the ground, upon swing this, the mother got up on it’s hind legs and stared directly at Kou. Out of it’s pouch, a dozen smaller rats came out, snaking down their mother’s body and got to to the bread. The mother had eyes of a hawk, checking for sudden movements. The rats mowed down on the loaf, Kou smiling purely.

“Hehe, there. I bet you guys were hungry.”

Shōshitsugetsu

A playful smile crossing her face, Shōshitsugetsu stared up at Jin, "You speak as if the water space was a fitting reward, but answer me this, who could possibly contest us should we simply decide to take this water space?" She grinned slightly, dagger-like fangs peeking over her lips until her grin was sly and impish. "Surely you don't believe that Konoha, a village far inland, would dispatch several ninjas to fight an underwater battle with us?" She swished her sleeve, bringing the lengthy stretch of fabric to her mouth as she concealed a few giggles. "Whatever would we even do with such a vast swathe of land..? Well, it matters not, turning down a free meal has never been my way of operating. You have a deal if nothing else, and if nothing else then I'll be taking my departure."

"If you wish to speak at length the shore is more than suitable and far less arid than this damnable place."

"It's nothing, really. You asked me to help Naomi and I am willing to do so, not that big of a deal." Mori said as they approached the gates of Iwagakure. At the sight of Tomiko displaying her headband and ninja card, a sudden wave of realisation struck him hard. His headband was nothing more than a piece of cloth from his clothing, would he be allowed in the village? Just my luck, guess I'll have to tell personal details as this piece of cloth won't work.

Mori took off his 'headband', showed his ninja card and began to list personal details to compensate for his original headband being gone. "My name is Utamara Mori, lost my headband to a Fire Style jutsu and was too charred to recover. I was sent to represent Iwagakure in the Chunin Exams in Konoha along with Usagi Tomiko but did not make it in time. I am the child of Jonin Utamara Iwao and Jonin Nomi Kasumi, both are proficient in Earth Release. I am known for being truant during my Academy days until Usagi Tomiko brought me back a few times. My blood is A+, this should be enough data to confirm me as ninja of Iwagakure."

Shura looke at Tayuya as she once against showed her bitterness and skepticism towards how she was to be treated. Shura sighed. "Believe what you want, it won't change anything." He responded. He would the hear her ask about what the manor is like. "Well The clan is divided into 5 districts, one for each of the factions and a central one which acts as a communal hub for the clan. The central district occupies the majority of the Hyuga ground and has most of the important buildings such as the Clan Hall, Main Training halls, most of the residential areas, reception halls amongst others." He explained. "But it will probably be easier for you to see the place for yourself, you're free to roam around after all." He added. Hearing the part about Kiro, Shura shrugged slightly. "As for that 'backstabber', I don't know where he is." He responded.

“A very simple reason, shōshitsugestu, they can beat you by changing the terrain. Such as beaching you with earth ninjutsu or by polluting the waters, or even burying your city. You would be a fish out of water or a fish out of luck either way.” Jin spoke, knowing war tactics. “But it’s a good thing you are in on this idea. Others would cower in fear at the den of a false lion.”

Having no other matters to say to him, he made a single handsign, transforming into a puddle, vanishing from sight. The head of the Yuki had just successfully plotted with the Hozuki a plan that Mei was none the wiser to suspect. It was all going well. For now....

......

Kou was calming down, seeing the rats and their mother as a wrong from his past he could right in his childhood. He had chosen right....hopefully. Theother still stood looming over him with an Agressive look on it’s face, snarling at him while it’s kits are the food he gave them. Kou brought our meats and cheeses and other foods as well. The scrawny rats had begun to fill up their stomachs with nice food, which it seemed as if they hadn’t in a long time.

Kou took a bite out of a meat stick, watching the little rats gobble Up their food. He then looked up to their mother, who had locked eyes with him for a good five minutes at this point. He took a hunk of turkey in the bag and held it up to her. Her eyes didn’t falter from her target.

“You help us. Why?” The rat’s voice boomed.

Kou was taken aback by the giant rat, actually speaking. He blinked twice, shaking his head. Coming to terms that the rat could actually speak he cleared his throat.

“Well um...I guess it just didn’t seem right. Leaving you alone without food while we have plenty of food back in our village. Hogging it all just feels...wrong, you know?”

“Village. Of the sound. The tamers of the snakes that have hunted us for centuries!”

She didn’t seem to like that. Snakes were of course rat’s natural predators. And the sound allying with them was a turn off for her. Kou shrugged, putting a hand behind his head.

“well I dunno anything about that...uh...mrs...?”

“Palentra. Broodmother of Ryuchi.”

“Well then I’m happy for you to have found love with this Ryuchi guy.” Kou said, oblivious to what the name actually meant. “I’m Kou of uh...the streets.”

“You speak as if you do not have a home, yet you give food so generously. You didn’t even fight, as shinobi tend to do with creatures that aren’t ‘human’. You are...an anomaly. Kou of the streets.”

Palentra took the lump of ham from Kou’s and sunk her large teeth into it. Kou smiles as she did so, her cold heart melting just a bit. They say there for the longest time, all of them having a picinic In the broodmother’s cave. It was peaceful in a sense, a contrast to how Kou initially felt coming inside

“Fugaku, have you gone mad?! Insane?! Has the burden of clan head finally caused you too lose it?!” The body language and burning glare of a three tomoe sharingan was enough to show the Uchiha head how enraged his comrade was. “Not only did you agree to the terms of that scum Danzo, but you also handed a member of our blood to the Hyūga?! Damnit all Fugaku, what are you doing?!” Yashiro question, his rage so high right now that he delivered a kick right into the wall, cracking it. He gazed at Fugaku who wore a nonchalant expression, his arms still crossed. “Are you finished?”

Yashiro was dumbfounded at that response. ‘Finished? Finshed?!’ The Uchiha looked around dazed and confused, unsure if he had just heard Fugaku right. To his right was the calm and collected Tekka, just casually listening. On his left was the only other person who seemed actually have a head. “Have you forgotten the precarious situation we’re in right now. The Uchiha’s relationship with those in charge are at an all time low. With Danzo in charge, it’s only time until they wrap a leash around us like dogs and pelt us until we obey. That’s the best fucking scenario! All you’re doing is bending over without even barking. What are you going to do? Let Danzo and those wretches walk all over the clan before putting us down?” Inabi questioned, clearly backing Yashiro as Tekka continued to remain silent.

Fugaku let out a sigh as he prepared to give his response. Yashiro seemed ready to burst at any moment and Inabi was not so far behind. “Okay, I understand what you two are saying but I don’t believe we have gotten to that point.” Fugaku stopped for a moment to check the reactions before he continued. It would seem Inabi couldn’t refrain himself and spoke his mind once more. “You’re joking, right? Does handing the Hyūga another Uchiha not mean anything to you. Forget the other part of him, that boy is still an Uchiha. Now you’ve handed them another one. Have you forgotten who the Hyūga are?” Inabi was shocked to see a subtle snicker from Fugaku before he responded.

“Last I remembered, wasn’t it one of you two whispering in my ear about the child. Calling Zino a monstrosity of a creature above other things... never mind that. If anything, their care of the boy should be enough reason too explain my reasoning. I’m sure Lady Hina-“ A loud noise was heard as Yashiro finally blew a fuse and threw a chair across the room. “Fuck Hina- No, excuse me, but I’m sure Mikoto will be disappointed to hear that another woman has gotten into her husband’s head. It’s only a matter of time before Danzo and that manipulative witch takes our eyes and breed them! Hell, speaking of that brat, do we even know who his disgraceful parents actually are?”

Tekka’s mouth was open as he heard the accusations Yashiro was throwing. He was also shaking, fearing what could come next. “Yashiro, you’re not implying that...”

“Shut up, this is beyond you Tekka!” Yashiro angrily gazed at the young Uchiha before glaring back at Fugaku with a growing smirk. “I guess it’s true after all. It seems the loss of your second born really did change you, Fugaku.”

This time, even Inabi couldn’t side with Yashiro. “You-you’ve lost your mind! Fugaku is still the...” His words were interrupted by Fugaku, who’s voice still remained calm. “It’s alright Inabi. If anything, Yashiro sounds like a child throwing a fit.” Though Fugaku’s tone had no coldness to it, looking into his eyes, Yashiro knew he had went too far. Immediately, Yashiro went too his knees before begging for forgiveness. “I should suspend you and even cite your disrespectful tone to Lady Hinagiku for your accusations... but I won’t.” Fugaku sighed as he looked down at his begging friend. “Stand up Yashiro. These are tough times we are dealing with. Only together can we hope to persevere. Though I hope we can deal with this mistrust peacefully, if it’s for the clan, then I won’t hesitate to use force.” Fugaku stated clearly, making sure his subordinates understood that as fact.

Unbeknownst to Fugaku, Yashiro grinned as he heard the word ‘force’ before standing up in a sorrowful expression. “Yes, I understand Fugaku. Once again, please forgive my doubt.” Fugaku nodded in understanding before speaking once more. “As for that other brat, I can only hope he doesn’t further disgrace our name...”

Kiro sneezed as silently as he could, still walking around the mansion grounds. He looked left then right before sighing. “Either someone’s talking shit about me or the water got me sick.” He looked around one more time to see a guard gazing in his direction. Kiro awkwardly bowed towards the guard before quickly turning in another direction so they wouldn’t make eye contact and began walking like he was some high class Hyūga. ‘Yeah, don’t mind me, I’m just another normal-‘ Before Kiro could even finish his thoughts, being as clumsy as he was, the Uchiha tripped on something before falling into a rather large bush...

The shockwave that was generated from the shockwave almost blew the Leaf-nin away, attempting to dig his feet in ground to not lose his footing. When the shockwave passed and the smoke began to clear, Taiyo turned off the rainbow flame aura to conserve chakra as he looked for any potential activity from Tsunade, which seemed to be absent.

"Sakura, do you think we killed her? If she's playing possum, then she could attack at any moment," The genin gingerly tip-toed closer to the site of the explosion, in a defensive stance in case on any incoming attacks.
Tsuki
The minute that the word Kai entered Hama's mouth, the younger Yuki-nin adopted a glint of concern in her eyes. There was only one Kai Yuki that she knew of, and he wasn't exactly the most agreeable in the bunch, and having a Xeno servant will likely cause some trouble, and then having opposing beliefs on Xeno rights was just the icing on the toxic cake.

Well in any consultation, I'll be able to slap Kai in the face every time he starts acting out of line.

Azumi's eyes slowly fluttered open, as she gazed upon the ground and saw the former area of battle that was the training grounds she and Reaver had fought on. Was that interaction with Kami and the angel but a dream? No, it could not have been...it was too real, too much to be some illusion or dream.

Regardless, Azumi glanced over to Reaver and given what had just transpired she figured now was the time to move forward with her plan. Though to do that, she needed Reaver to wake up as she poked at her newfound "companion."

"Reaver..." Azumi called out, as she tried to get a rise of her fellow Ame-nin.

----------
The guards eyed Mori as he failed to present a headband, but had shown his ninja card and seemed to give a believable enough. Though even with that Tomiko felt the need to add on a defense just in case those were not enough, as she did not know what the guards could be thinking.

"It's all true, he is Iwagakure-nin. We were in the same academy class, a simple view of the graduation record should clear it all up." Tomiko added on, which seemed to all have been enough as the guards nodded and would allow the pair into Iwagakure. Tomiko had a grin as she turned to Mori with eager anticipation.

"All right, now let's go safe Mr. Snugglebottom~!" Tomiko cheered before she would begin to lead Mori away from the main section of Iwagakure, and towards the, well...less of section of the slums that Tomiko and her group had affectionately referred t as "the dump."

----------
Tayuya listened to Shura's, admittedly, helpful summery of the layout of the Hyuga Mannor though he had no way to know where Kiro had been which caused her to let out a sigh.

Whatever, given I am stuck here. So is he, I'll pay him a visit inevitably...

"Alright, I suppose I'll go explore the area. Maybe get a work out in the training area...depending on how much this stupid thing handicaps me." Tayuya said as she rubbed the seal placed around her Curse Mark before she began her search for the Training Hall. Though she glanced back at Shura, and in spite of still thinking him as an enemy she had to let out a sigh as he had helped her through this and felt it was only respectful to some capacity to show some gratitude.

"W-well, I guess...thanks, for that. You are not, so bad I guess."

Well, in her own way.

----------
Sakura gave a nod to Taiyo as she drew a kunai and kept her guard up as she observed the smoke pile that slowly began to dissipate...which revealed nothing before them. No charred body, which Sakura was thankful for, or any signs of her at all. As if Tsunade had just...disappeared.

Thud!
Only for the sound of something landing behind the two to get Sakura's attention as she turned around. Tsunade had appeared seemingly without a scratch. As she had pumped a little bit of chakra into her legs to aid her already monstrous strength to jump above the area just before the explosions went off. However, what seemed like a clean escape had been far from it; as bits of her pants legging had been burned from the fire and the shockwave slammed into her body while she was in the air which knocked her further up. So Tsunade had felt damage, and as much as she'd rather not make mention of it she felt a brief moment for praise on their efforts had been earned.

"Not bad, not bad at all. I have to admit I underestimated you both, but consider this little praise to be as far as you go. Because this battle is over." Tsunade spoke with a firm tone before a wave of killing intent had been sent to wash over both Sakura & Taiyo. Enough to cause Sakura to shake in place as she almost felt her body freeze on her.

"You both know this is fruitless. While your teamwork is commendable, you both know you are outclassed. So do the smart thing and just. Give. Up." Tsunade stressed, as her tone matched the killing intent she realized as if to warn them she would make them regret going forward if they did not back down now. Sakura felt that overwhelming pressure; the aura of a legendary ninja who outclassed them hilariously. She was right, there was no chance they could win. No chance they could survive if she decided to take them seriously. This was hopeless, they should probably just give up. Tsunade was a deserter, and really what could they do to change her mind as they only managed to get one bit of light praise out of someone who had yet to go out? There was no chance.

"Those in the ninja world who break the rules are scum...but those who abandon their friends, are lower than scum.

"N-n-n...never!"

"Thanks for backing me up there, half expected to be denied entry there." Mori said as he followed Tomiko to the slums, sticking close to her. He used to explore Iwa when he was skipping class so he knew the village pretty well, but the slums were new to him. He didn't come from an incredibly rich family, but his parents earned enough to make sure they didn't go hungry. He knew that other people didn't have as much luck as he had, but he never expected this. People were living in houses that were not much more than shelter from the rain and wind and were starving, it wouldn't take much for these people to rob someone out of desperation to get some money or food. There were beggers everywhere and he would not be too surprised if he would see some women trying to make money the only way they knew.

"This is terrible! You live here?" His voice was not much more than a whisper as the shock of seeing the other side of Iwa hit him in his gut. He felt bile rise up in his throat and would want nothing more than to give these people a better life, even if that only meant that everyone had food everyday. He was willing to lose an eye or a limb for that, as long as he could help these people. Yet Tomiko is still capable of being so cheerful even when living here, and it was admirable to see. Even though her youth was this bad, she stayed this optimistic and refused to let her background keep her down.

"I am impressed by the fact that you can be so happy when so many others here have given up, I would not be able to do that." Mori got a bit closer to Tomiko as she was familiar here and people knew her, not to mention he was not at ease here. He stuck out like a sore thumb and he was most likely already being looked at by people that wanted his money. "I can't believe that so many people live here, does Lord Tsuchikage just ignore the people here?"

As he finished speaking, he had an idea about why so many people live in the slums and it was so obvious that he kicked himself for not realizing it earlier. These people did not have enough money to have dinner every day, let alone have a home that was more than a shack. Iwa has a notoriously bad economy so one of the more reliable ways to earn money was to become a ninja and earn money. These people did not have enough money to enroll in the Academy and become ninja, and Iwa is not located in the best location for an other job. It is too rocky and resources are so sparce that a growing economy is really hard to create and maintain. As he thought about this, his face went red from shame. He used to think as a child that the people in the slums were just too lazy to get a job. Now he realized that they were just incredibly unlucky, that he was just a snot-nosed brat back then without any idea what the true reason behind this was and that he should be ashamed for thinking that they were just lazy bums.

Shura watched as Tuyuya wnet on her way to search for the training hall. Hearing Tayuya thank him, a smirk grew below Shura's mask. "Heh, and here I thought you were incapable of saying nice things." He thought before he began following Tayuya. "Sorry but I am still assigned to watch you so I'll be following you." He said. He expected a sarcastic remark from Tayuya.

Shiho walked out of her room. "Man. I'm bored, I hope something happens today." She said to herself.

Almost on que, Kai had emerged from the treeline, making his appearance in front of Hama, seiun, and Tsuki. He and Kanshi alongside him were in view, much to hama’s delight. Kai walked toward them, noticing the demon brother ice sculpture that she had so delecatky made.

“That’s...a thing.”

“Ah, there you are Kai. I haven’t gotten to see you since you left for the exams~ how did that go?”

“I lost to a half Xeno with a husband craving disorder.”

“Let me guess. You got Angry, insulted her, and shot out all your chakra before she picked you off?”

“Tch! That’s not-!” He said, stopping himself as his temper was showing. “...that’s not how it happened.”

He noticed Tsuki and seiun over next to hama, which made him arch his brow. Tsuki? The same girl he had to drag back from the heat of battle? What’s she doing here? With Hama of all people?

“Tsuki. What are you doing here with Hama sensei? And who’s this?” He said, pointing to seiun.

Reaver woke up with a start, his garb and cask mask still firmly attached to him, and more importantly he was still in one piece. He didn’t remember quite how he got here nor what caused him to end up where he was at. He could only assume that the amekage or his atendant were responsible for this. He brushed himself off, looking to Azumi.

“Eh? If your thinking of starting our little venture already, I must tell you my suit won’t be operational for a good few hours. You shattered and snapped the chords and wires. I bend metal, not wires. It won’t be as easy to repair as my previous scrapes.”

He didn’t like repairing his suit when the wires were broken. It was very tedious for him, reminding him of his time before reaver existed. He quickly shook those thoughts from his head though, finding his suit right next to him after his intal awakening.

Palentra, broodlord of Ryuuchi cave ate carefully, waiting for it’s children to be finished eating first before she mowed down on food. Kou looked up to her, stopping his eating to look on the satisfied look she had on her face.

“You look happy.” Kou said with a smile on his face.

“It has been years since I have tasted such fresh food. Everything my kits and I have eaten are scraps from the predator snakes that live in this cave. We dare not venture further in fear of them. We have no choice.”

“That’s rude of those snakes, why don’t they share?”

“That’s a fools errand boy, they would rather devour my entire brood rather than listen to a word I have to say. In truth, you are the only one who has talked to me in two years.”

“That sounds awful...you must have been pretty lonely...”

“A broodmother must always do what they must for their children. All other needs are secondary.”

“Your a good mother Palentra...if only I had a mother like you.”

“You speak as if you have no mother. Did you not say you were from a village?”

“Well...I’ve only been here a week. I’ve been on the streets surviving by myself for all my life. I’ve never had a mother, or a father for that matter. But hey, if I had to have one, I would take you over any mother any day.”

Palentra seemed touched by the comment, having a look of both pity and fondness in her rodent like face. He bent her face down, giving a lick on kou’s Cheek. He giggled as she did so, one of his eyes blinking on the cheek she licked.

“You are the most sincere human I have ever met. For that, I ask of you a most important favor.”

“A favor? What favor?”

“If I ever were to die...I would want you to look after my kits. You would be their godfather. You are the only one I could trust with them.”

Kou looked up at her surprised, tears filling the corners of his eyes. “You mean...like a family?”

“If you promise me this, I will be more than happy to grant you a place in our family. We are small, and not the most stocked bunch but...we look after our own. What do you say?”

Palentra’s eyes widened when she saw that Kou had already begun to hug her leg, the boy had tears streaming down his face. He had never been a part of a family before. This was all new to him, but it felt...good. Palentra smiled and hugged the grey haired boy back. They were a family

Azumi overheard Reaver's assessment of the situation, which caused the Ame-nin to let out a sigh as it seemed a delay was inevitable. While there was not set "time table" Azumi would rather have made haste with her jouney since it would involve traveling through the entire Shinobi world and would be bound to take time. So any more time "wasted" was a sour mark as far as she had been concerned, even if she had to concede that making sure his suit was operational was as justified a reason for one as possible.

It would be suicide to venture to foreign land if either of them had been less than one-hundred percent.

"Fair enough. I don't suppose it would be possible to inform me how long this repair process would take?" Azumi asked, as she figured it was a fair enough question to ask so that she had a general idea of how long she could expect to have to wait. Given she knew little of how Reaver's suit worked, beyond the weapons it could deploy given the battle she had with him.

Tayuya glanced behind her as she had taken note of Shura who seemed to be stalking her; something that Shura seemed to confirm, though worded with the official and begrudgingly accurate term of supervising Tayuya. Though that had done little to comfort the Oto-prisoner.

"Oh great. Got a Hyuga on my ass. Just what I always wanted. Fair warning, if I catch you with those perverted X-ray eyes on around me I will personally claw them out. Stupid seal be damned." Tayuya said with a glare at Shura, as she seemed to react to him sticking to her about as well as one could expect from the temperamental foul mouth.

"Take a good long guess Kai, you might guess it on the first try," She shot a false icy look at Kai, she didn't have any sort of ill will towards him, it was fun to let him deal with some mental struggle and it was nice to pretend that she was angry at him, "As for Seiun, who do you think he is, my boyfriend or something? He would be my Xeno slave and also the third member of this cell, and hello to you too Kanshi," She respectfully bowed towards the Xenophobic Yuki-nin's bodyguard.

Well, might as well make this enjoyable for as long as it can be.
Seiun
Once he regained composure from that whole event which lead him behind the tree, he remembered that he never actually treated his wounds from blocking the shuriken. The blood was beginning to clot, thankfully, so all he did was dab it with some disinfecting alcohol and wrapped it in bandages. He came out behind the tree to see his mistress seemingly having a conversation with two strangers or in other words, Xenos.

"So I guess one of these guys would be the third member of our cell, isn't that right?" The rouge turned over to Kai and Kanshi, studying them carefully.
Taiyo
"Yeah, that's not happening, Tsunade," Taiyo's glare sharpened once more, seemingly ignoring the wave of killing intent despite him in reality, quaking in his boots with chills down his spine, "I was never the smartest guy around, and plus unlike you, I finish what I start. Which is why I'm bringing you back! Even if it nearly kills me!" Suddenly, Taiyo ran up to the blonde beauty and aimed a punch directly to her face, he half expected the blow to be blocked and punished, but really, if this was the one hit he would get, it would be fine by him.

"This is terrible! You live here?"

Tomiko had been prepared for a reaction like that. Compared to the heart of Iwagakure, with well structure homes and people who did not appear to be stricken with dirt stained clothing, by comparison the slums had earned its reputation of being a dump. So someone like Mori, who likely had never visited such a place before now, should react that way. It was the way Tomiko expected, and actually appreciated, the fact Mori reacted in such fashion as it showed he did care and his horrified reaction showed he viewed these people as just that...people. Not merely a reflection of the "garbage" they were born into.

“Indeed, born and raised. While it is a struggle, you do develop a certain charm for the place if you are stuck around long enough. Even if obvious improvements can be made.” Tomiko replied simply, and she would have added on a comment as they walked along the main road though she caught the aid of some guy who seemed to rest along a trash can; one that had eyed Mori since he entered the slums with Tomiko. Tomiko sensed ill intentions as she flashed one of her rubber-sleeved metalic gauntlets which had been enough to discourage him as he scurried off. Tomiko seemed pleased as they continued their walk through the slums with the aim to find a special spot of Tomiko’s.

"I am impressed by the fact that you can be so happy when so many others here have given up, I would not be able to do that."

Tomiko had to admit, hearing Mori praise her for that was touching in a sense. Though she wanted to clarify a certain point, the sound of music cut her off as she glanced beside her and saw an older woman; sitting on the floor with an open hat and playing a rather soothing song on her guitar. A beggar, though given the woman’s smile as she played with her eyes closed the passion behind her craft was more the genuine. Tomiko smiled and reached into her pocket as she pulled out a fair amount of spare change; the leftovers of her “foreign funds” she saved up for her trip to Konoha through various missions as she placed it in the hat which caught the woman’s attention as she smiled and continued to play.

“Thank you.”

“No problem.”

Tomiko glanced back to Mori and had a grin on her face before she got around to her earlier point she thankfully had not lost track of.

“If I gave into the despair, then I would be stuck here and have never amounted to nothin. I won’t do that, one just needs to always look at the positives and remember that things can always get better. And while many cannot, there are those outside of me who have that resolve here and I do what I can to ensure we do not lose hope for a brighter tomorrow.” Tomiko said to Mori, and almost as if it were on cue at that mention the sounds of rapidly moving footsteps were heard as Tomiko glanced ahead…only for a wave of bodies to tackle Tomiko to the ground; a group of five to be specific.

“Tomiko! It’s great to see you again!” Jirou said, a girl who appeared to be around Tomiko’s age who seemed to be a black haired girl with a purple streak through it.

“What took you so long? Figured you would have been back the second the exams ended yet it seemed you took forever to come back.” Hoshi, a boy who also appeared to be around Tomiko’s age that seemed to have a scruffy beanie on his head covering his short black hair.

“Oh don’t be like that, she probably had a long journey hear and doesn’t need to hear stuff like that. What was Konoha like?” Mao, a boy who appeared a couple years younger than the two who seemed to have a bottle cap necklace around his neck and short brown hair.

“Yeah, did you meet anyone exciting!?”

“Did you get in cool fights? I’ll bet ninja battles are amazing!”

Two other voices spoke up, a pair of twins who seemed to be just a year younger than Mao. A set of twins; a boy named Mio with short white hair and Miu who had longer white hair.

“G-guys, it’s great to see you but…I can’t really….breath.” Tomiko replied weakly, as she was at the bottom of the pile but in spite of her comment she had a smile on her face.

Two other figures stood away from the pile. A boy who seemed a year or two older than Tomiko who had a scar over his right eye and short, spiky green hair. Next to him was a young girl, who seemed to be the youngest of the group as she held a headless purple teddybear with its head hung by a string around her waist and long green hair. Ren and his younger sister Naomi, who hide behind Ren as they eyed Mori.

“So, a friend of Tomiko’s?” Ren asked the newcomer to the slums, as he figured given his well kept clothing and the fact he had not seen him before with Tomiko he assumed he was someone Tomiko had met during the Exams.

----------
For the first time in this battle, even more than the combo explosion attack, Tsunade had been caught off guard as her eyes widened when Taiyo resisted her killing intent and aimed a punch for the Sannin's face. A blow Tsunade easily blocked with her index finger, which in it itself only caused Tsunade's eyebrows to raise in confusion.

"Why, it's pointless!" Tsunade said, as he prepared a follow up strike but then Sakura charged ahead; as she aimed to deliver a slash with her kunai even if Taijutsu had not been her area of expertise. That mattered not, and Tsunade frowned as she aimed to push Taiyo back with her finger before she focused on Sakura and parried her strikes by pushing against Sakura's wrist which caused her to tumble along the ground, though she was quick to get back up which only seemed to frustrate Tsunade more.

"Stay down! This constant banging of your heads against the wall isn't gonna prove anything." Tsunade spat, as Sakura directed a glare at the Sannin as she pulled a second kunai.

"You...you were everything to me! An inspiration for Kunoichi everywhere, a symbol of what we all strive to be. And the fact that the Legendary Tsunade is some...is some...worthless deserter and drunk is something I won't stand for!" Sakura said, her hair had grown messy during the exchange; dirt along the left side from her recent trip to the ground. But that fire in her eyes...a fire Tsunade seemed incapable of snuffing out.

"We will get you to understand, to remember what the Will of Fire is all about. And I will surpass you, and make the title of top kunoichi in the world something to aspire to once again!"

Hm...giving you a talking to on what’s expected of a mist Ninja? Or most likely protecting you from these thugs.” He said scanning over the demon brothers.

At that moment, seiun was snapped out of his train of thought, looking over Kai and Kanshi.

"So I guess one of these guys would be the third member of our cell, isn't that right?"

Kai was surprised. Hama? Add those two into their cell? A slave and a newbie? It didn’t seem possible. Hama had a high standard for herself, and would never even think for a second I’m bringing in people of little potential, or even average potential. She always picked those she saw interest in, which he failed to see what she saw in them.

“Hama sensei...? Is this true?”

“Huhuhuhu~ they may not look it, but I see potential in them. You see Tsuki? She learned chakra control, her bloodline, and walking on water all in one lesson~”

“Really?! This girl?”

Hama modes, kai’s expression changing from that of surprise to that of curiosity. This girl Tsuki...how has she accomplished something even I could not do so fast? It’s no wonder Hama saw interest in her. I have to keep an eye on her. Kai visually made a tsk sound.

“Not bad. You’ve earned my respect in speed of learning.” He said, his eyes then gazing to seiun. “And you? What do you do?”

......

“Hmph. Three hours or more. Fuel pipes are no joking matter. Since we are on a time crunch, I can do the Bare essentials right here and do the rest on the go. Give me like ten minutes then.”

With that, he took some tubing that was stashed in his jumpsuit pockets. He quickly went to work on his suit, knowing the insides and outs. He hastily began to repair the centerfold and directly under it where azumi’s shadow attack had sliced several wires and tubing. He mentally cursed azumi’s effective attack, as it came from a cowardly clan that hid in the shadows. Surely she must have known his hatred for the technique?

.........

Palentra and Kou held their hug for the longest time, as if the boy was afraid if he let go he would never be able to latch on again. Palentra broke the hug first, picking up her asleep food-filled kits by their tails and stashing then in her pouch.

“Hehe, looks like they ate well.”

“Due to your kindness, Kou of the streets.”

“Aw gee. You can just call me Kou miss.”

“And you can call me mother.”

With that comment, she ruffled his head with her large hand, her twin tails gliding along the ground at ease. Kou closed her eyes as she did this, hair going in his face. She withdrew her hand and looked to the cave entrance.

“Come, we need to find a nest for you.”

“Oh no no that won’t be neccisary.” Kou said waving his hands in front of him. “I have a place to stay already. But that doesn’t mean I won’t come back as often as I can!”

“Where will you go? Surely not back to the streets.”

“No, nothing like that. I’m going back to the sound village. They get a bad rap, but they are a bunch of softies.”

“That’s where you got your food, a ninja village. So that means your a ninja?”

Kou nodded his head. “Yes. Well...kinda. I’m in training. I don’t know how to do any super power thingy-majig in the book yet...hehe...”

“Is that so...”

In a moment, Palentra the broodmother held it her hand. It enveloped in smoke before a rather sizable scroll appears. She rolled it onto the ground next to Kou, revealing it’s contents. It had worn, faded out lettering with several bars going down it. At the bottom, the bars had tattered lettering inside them, each one with a hand print on them. There were only two names listed on it. Kou scratched his head.

“Um...what’s this?”

“It is a summoning contract. Throughout the generations, my grandfather being the latest one. we chose miraculous people, and those who would lead our families to prosperity. We gave these individuals access to summon us to them at any given time. So we may protect those who would seek to help us. A symbiotic relationship of respect and a bond to the future.”

Kou tilted his head, processing the words that she was explaining to him. It sort of made sense, kind of like making their family tie official. Once putting all the words together like a puzzle, he raised a finger.

“So I could bring you any your family anywhere? That’s great! It’s like being about to take you on the road!”

“Hold on there little one. It means you can summon be if your life is in danger. If you fear you may not make it out, I will do the best I can to make sure you stay alive. You must draw blood and sign your name on the next slide on this scroll.”

Kou was reminded of his run in with Dosu, and how he was easily knocked out by him. Then again when Tomiko was helpless, standing bloodied before reaver. If Palentra were there she could have saved a lot of grief from most everyone, not only him. If he didn’t accept this, who knows what might happen to him? Or those he loves. He took a breath and nodded.

“Then give me your hand.”

Kou hesitantly raised his hands to the giant rat. She grabbed one of them, and using her teeth created a small notch in one of them, a small dribble of blood coming out. Kou winced in pain, but wiggled his whimper. In terrible handwriting, he wrote his name down and put his hands on the sheet, his hand print showing up. It had been done.

As Tomiko led Mori through the slums, his initial shock died down but he knew that he would never fully get used to it. When they arrived at a beggar playing guitar whom Tomiko gave some money to, he looked around carefully and gave the beggar some money before he almost ran back to Tomiko.

If I gave into the despair, then I would be stuck here and have never amounted to nothin. I won’t do that, one just needs to always look at the positives and remember that things can always get better. And while many cannot, there are those outside of me who have that resolve here and I do what I can to ensure we do not lose hope for a brighter tomorrow.

Of course, he could've expected such an answer from her. But before he had a chance to say anything a flood of bodies hit Tomiko and began to all talk at the same time. Mori chuckled, it was endearing to see such happiness in a place like this. "You really are like a big sister to them, huh?" He glanced at the children surrounding Tomiko, they seemed so happy and full of life at this moment. Although two children, he presumed them to be brother and sister, kept their distance, and although he applauded their caution he also felt saddened by the fact that they needed to be cautious in what should be a safe home for them. As the older boy asked his question, he answered with a smile to show that he did not intend to do any harm.

"The name's Mori Utamara, Tomiko might've told you about a moody kid that skipped class back in the Academy? That's me." He cocked his head to the right and grinned, knowing Tomiko she would've mentioned him like that atleast once. "We met back in Konoha and whilst we were on our way back to Iwa, it is a long trip that you shouldn't do it unless you're prepared, we got into a conversation and I revealed that my secret hobby was to knit. She asked me to help someone called Naomi who had her teddy bear beheaded, and that's my story. If you want to check if I am saying the truth, ask Tomiko when she's freed from her pile of bodies."

Raiku walked through the entrance to the Hyuga clan quite casually with just a quick scan of a Hyuga's Byakugan. He didn't visit the Hyugas frequently, so to say he was a bit lost would be an understatement. After around half an hour of strolling around the place and asking questions Raiku eventually found some rooms of Hyuga members and nearly as soon as he got there Shiho walked out of one of the rooms.

It took a moment but Raiku managed to recognize her and walked towards her.

"Hey Shiho, did you just wake up? You look like you haven't done anything all day."

Hearing Tayuya’s annoyed response made Shura chuckle slightly. “As I thought, a real snarky remark.” He thought. Hearing the part Tayuya said about the Byakugan, Shura chuckled again. “I’ll keep that in mind.” He said.

Shiho was about to move to the courtyard when she saw Raiku show up and greet her. “Well, I guess my wish was fulfilled.” She thought before waiving at Raiku. “Hey Raiku right? What are you doing on Hyuga grounds?” She asked.

Azumi listened to Reaver's explanation, the fact that he could do any amount of repairs on the go somehow was a curious note she'd be sure to keep in mind as she considered his words and found it to be more than reasonable enough as she gave a nod.

"Fair enough. Do what you need to do, and also pack up any and all supplies you desire to bring with you. I sense this will be a long trip. So I'd advise using sealing scrolls for extra storage. Once your suit is ready and you packed your supplies. Meet me by the village gates." Azumi said to Reaver, as going in with no rations or supplies of any kind would be unwise. Especially given her first target in mind would mean they would need to pay a visit by the Land of Water.

----------
Ren kept a serious gaze on Mori the entire time, even as he introduced himself. Ren had been familiar with that academy student that Tomiko mentioned during her academy days. Though it had been his mention of knitting that caught his attention, and Naomi's as the girl's eyes widened a bit as she clutched Mr. Snuggebottom's body close to her chest though she kept behind Ren for the moment.

"Huh, that's the emo quitter you talked about Tomiko?"

"I never said he was that specifically Hoshi."

"Yeah, I think she said he was a guy who just needed to "refuel his ambition tank" or something."

"Indeed Mio. Now can you guys please get off?"

With that, the pile of Tomiko's friends moved off Tomiko, who took a moment to dust herself off as she stood up and saw Ren, Naomi and Mori as she heard Mori's comment and decided to confirm his claim.

"Indeed, this is Mori. The academy guy who I got to know better during the exams. Or rather, just after my run in the exams to be specific. And yes, he does knit. So we can save Mr. Snugglebottom~!" Tomiko said with a grin, as Naomi eyed Mori with a nervous glance as she kept behind her older sibling. Though eventually, she moved from behind Ren as she held the severed body of Mr. Snugglebottoms and removed the head from her belt that had been attached with a make-shift string as she held it next to the body as she glanced up at Mori.

"C-can...can you, make Mr. Snugglebottom better?" Naomi asked Mori with a hopeful tone as her love for her stuffed beat was all too evident. Even if she was nervous around the "stranger", she wanted to believe Tomiko's word that he could help.

----------
Tayuya merely rolled her eyes at Shura's comment as she continued her way until she made it to the Training Hall. With all that had happened over the last few days, she was in dire need of a workout to relieve some stress.

However, the seal around her neck not only cut off access to the Curse Mark, but limited her chakra as a whole. Which in turn limited what she could do for training, much to her visible frustration as she rubbed that seal.

Fuck that stupid snake skank. I will get her back for this...

"I don't suppose you know how to limit this thing's restrictiveness so I can practice some chakra control or something?" Tayuya asked Shura, though she hadn't expected any concessions or even if he had such capacity to do so she felt the need to ask anyway.

Feeling the pressure from Tsunade's finger resisting him, the Leaf-nin took adopted his rainbow flames once more, seemingly achieving mastery over the form after his fight with Jirobo. In this form, he felt empowered by an overwhelming feeling of warmth and optimism to defeat this opponent in front of him and get the Blonde beauty back home.

"I'm not going down without a fight! I'll bring you back home, even with a broken finger!" Taiyo began to push back against Tsunade's attempt to block him. Thankfully to Sakura and her attack which caused Tsunade to briefly loose footing, Taiyo felt like he made some progress by digging into the ground and pushing forward. Meanwhile, he couldn't help but notice that her gut was completely unguarded, and since she was blocking him with her once finger, the Rainbow Flicker attempted to close the distance between himself and the Slug Sage and deliver a gut punch.
Seiun
"What do I do? Well put simply, I'm like Tsuki as Kanshi is to you. I originally attempted to kill my mistress here, mistaking here for a mere waste of space. Unfortunately for me, I was captured and enslaved, but this also brought about change. As for why I'm joining, I aided Tsuki in combat with the demon brother's and took a blow to my ankle. Hama-sensei commented on how I needed additional training and she is now providing that for me," The Rainy Rouge wanted to gag at how he said that he was 'redeemed' or something. He kept his gag reflex at bay however as he now also had to gain the trust of Kai and Kanshi, which shouldn't have been too hard, considering that Hama would have to get Kai to tolerate Seiun eventually, since they'd be working together.

Mori felt a bit odd after being referred to as 'the emo quitter' and 'someone who needed to refuel his ambition tank', but he couldn't help but smile at it. "I dropped the emo act and my ambition tank is filled to the brim, so you don't have to worry!" He then turned to face Naomi and kneeled down to her level. "I not only can make him better, I will. When I'm done Mr. Snugglebottom is as good as new, I promise." He smiled at the little girl and stood back up, rummaging through a smaller pouch that most ninja use to carry senbon.

"Come on, there you are!" He said as he showed a senbon with a hole near the top, resembling a sewing needle along with some sewing thread. "Now just need to finish preperations and then I can start making Mr. Snugglebottom better. May I have him for a second?" He asked Naomi as he prepared the needle for the sewing job he was about to preform.

Kai blinked, processing the story that he was told by the former murderer. Even though he heard the explanation, his resolve wasn’t shaken. In fact it brought up even more questions. Why would hama bother training a slave? Why would she train a Xeno? Nothing made sense about this.

“...you attempted murder and she didn’t choose the death penalty? Tsuki. You know that the odds of him turning on you or trying to kill you again is 80%, correct?”

He didn’t trust him, not by a long shot. He couldn’t tell if hama trusted him, but was going to train the psychopath. This entire situation gave him a migraine. He wondered what Kanshi thought of this.

......

Reaver rolled his eyes, already knowing what to do. Azumi’s nagging at the obvious didn’t exactly quicken his pace. Instead of starting an argument though, he simply left the situation, jumping from building to building. Reaver’s garage wasn’t hard to see, being a giant grey spike of a building. Upon landing at the entrance, he didn’t was any time going inside.

Upon going in, he was greeted with his rows of open outholds, each one with a Reaver suit of a different MK. His famous suit was missing amongst the outholds, which he planned to change. Right in the center of the outhold on the ground was a transportation scroll. He put his hand on it, putting a small bit of chakra into the paper. Within an instant, his suit of armor had teleported right into it.

Taking a splicing tool, extra wires, and a fresh supply of fuel, he got to work.

........

“Oww....” Kou said, taking his bleeding hand out from the summoning scroll. “Wait a minute, uh...how am I going to ‘summon’ you? Do I just yell SUMMON!”

“No, my child. It requires chakra. An energy source present in all life forms. I’m sure you have been taught this.”

A silence was present in the cave. Kou’s eyes going to the side of his head in an unconvincing manner. Palentra blinked twice, her head cocking to the side.

“They...haven’t taught you about chakra...have they?”

Kou shook his head, Palentra giving a sigh. There was a lot of work to be done here. The broodmother cleared her throat, processing this.

“Looks like I will have to teach you the basics. First...”

Hearing Tayuya's question about the seal place on top of her, Shura thought for a second. "Sorry, but I don't know much about that seal except for the hand sign to trigger the pain effect. Miss Anko said it restricted your chakra not nullify it, I think you'll still be able to use some of your chakra." He explained. "She's really uncomfortable about that seal." He thought.

Kabuto adjusted his glasses, his right hand glowing with a blue aura, a chakra dissection blade coating it. On his surgery table, a bit of blood was visible, Zaku laid out on it. He had bandages wrapping all around his chest and center body. He made a single handsign after doing a once over.

“Release.”

The genjustu he had placed over the surgery table had been disbanded. Zaku, who was unconscious in the table had begun to stir. His eyes blinked open. He rubbed his head, groaning as he sat up on the table.

“Ugh...next time do a less nauseating genjustu next time okay doc?”

“Your lucky I have genjustu skills at all. If not, you would have to bite though the pain. Which sounded like a tempting idea.” Kabuto shot back. “Your surgery is complete.”

What did ol’ four eyes do to me anyway? My body feels numb. I can’t really tell what he did. Better not be somethin’ stupid or a waste of time. Because if it is-

At that moment Zaku felt something in his body that wasn’t there before. He also felt his body was slightly heavier as well. Kabuto gave a chuckle, eyeing him over.

“About time you’ve noticed it. I think that’s the extra firepower you were so hellbent on. Don’t just use it for any old threat. It takes a toll.” Kabuto said with an authoritative tone. “Also, couldn’t help but noticed singeing around the flesh near your tubes. You fought a lightning justu specialist didn’t you?”

Zaku tsked, looking the other way. Not his most shining moment to be sure. He could still feel the lightning coarsing through him. More troublesome than Yasu, but less annoying. He wasn’t sure who was worse.

“None of your business...”

Azumi herself also left and made it back to her "home", or at least where she had stayed at given her true home had burned to the ground years ago. Azumi took a moment to gather any needed rations or supplies, using some scrolls for storage of food & water along with anything else she might need.

Granted, Azumi had not had many things. Her financial situation improved greatly since she became a ninja, but living a self-sustained life out of the ashes of her broken childhood had not been easy. Still, she had the basics of what she needed...food, water, a tent and matches for camp fires. Those complimented her ninja tools nicely.

Azumi sealed her essentials and prepared to leave, not for the gate...but for a special spot of her own. An old, charred down house along an abandoned street; the remnants of her old life, one of misplaced optimism and crushed idealism.

One where a lone potted plant, with but an old picture of a woman who appeared to resemble Azumi herself, waited at its steps as Azumi crouched down; as she took a moment to change out the flowers for a fresh set in its place. The rain that had proceeded ensured the soil managed to get the water it needed, and as she looked at the old photo of the woman Azumi tried to keep her composure as she let out a sigh before she spoke.

"I...if there is a life beyond death, a world after our own...I can only hope that if you are watching me will come to understand what I have to do. For Amegakure's future, to ensure a brighter tomorrow for our people...for all people, that those five corrupt nations hold a stranglehold on. To ensure that hell we lived in never comes to pass again." Azumi said, as she felt a drop of rain hit her head. A drizzle had began, as Azumi let out another side...a tear missed with the rain as she stood up and faced the photo & plant with strengthened resolve.

"The world can think whatever it wishes of me when it is all said and done, but I know this is the right thing. I...I only hope you can see that...I can only hope you'd be proud of me." Azumi said, with a slightly more sullen tone to contrast the defensive one she had used earlier before she departed; making her way to the village gates to begin her long-term ambition.

Naomi listened to Mori's words, and they sounded reassuring from where he stood. Naomi glanced over to Tomiko, who simply gave an encouraging nod as Naomi nodded back to her before she let out a sigh and handed Mori the body and head of her precious Mr. Snugglebottom towards Mori as she look him in the okay.

"O-okay. Please help him." Naomi pleaded, as she put her trust into Mori that he could help make Mr. Snugglebottom better once again.

Tsunade grit her teeth in response. The conviction the pair showed, that stubborn refusal to give up and their determination itself was disgustingly nostalgic for her taste. She felt Taiyo push back against her finger with the flames as she tried to wrap her head around why these two cold continue on in spite of knowing they were outmatched.

In fact, Taiyo himself reminded Tsunade of two key figures in her life...as two faces appeared in her gaze of Taiyo which almost distracted her from Taiyo's follow up strike and nearly made her oblivious to Sakura's charge with the two kunai.

"Almost" and "nearly" being the operative words there.
"Enough of this!" Tsunade said, as before Taiyo's strike or Sakura could reached her she vanished. Pumping chakra as she moved at high speeds much to Sakura's shock; as she didn't expect a powerhouse to have speed to her as she swung at thing air.

"Where did she..."

Sakura never finished her sentence, as Tsunade struck the back of the base of her neck; aiming a knockout strike with a precision strike. One she mirrored with Taiyo as she aimed to put a swift end to this.

Tayuya gave a nod. Seems she was stuck with her limited chakra, she rubbed her seal around her curse mark as she let out a sigh. Given the circumstances, she felt a traditional workout was in order as she first began to do some push-ups on the canvas below.

The Kai fight exposed her flaws in the worst way. When her Genjutsu failed her, when her Doki were moved out of the way, she was borderline useless. The fact that a Genin nearly defeated her and brought her to her limits and beyond was a stroke of shame on her end. One she vowed to correct as she began her physical workout.

"You know, it amazes me the a bunch of Genin were able to get the best of us. Least I presume so, I know your side killed Jirobo I don't suppose...you'd be willing to share what happened to the others?" Tayuya asked Shura, once more felt shame as the Sound 4 had been bested by brats given Shura and his group made it out without any causalities. Naturally, she wanted to esquire about what happened to Kidomaru and Sakon to see what became of them; given they had not been captured with her nor had she been informed they were dead.
