Hyōryugetsu
Releasing a tense breath, the Hozuki waded into the circle of the Yuki's influence. Since the Ice wielders of the Mist were here, and the beast had been dealt with, her retreat became unnecessary. However, given the Yuki Clan had arrived, Hyo figured it wouldn't be much longer before the other forces of the mist arrived. Just on cue, hurtling over the horizon was a tidal wave of an army, in every sense of the phrase. The stretch of roiling ocean that had made up the tidal wave had been composed of the various members of the Hozuki Clan, and riding the wave was the Fifth Mizukage.
Mei
As the wave of shinobi hit land, crashing against the beach, off the wave stepped the Mizukage, and from within the wave emerged Shoshitsugetsu. As the woman made their entrance, the tidal wave died down, the Hozuki diffusing into the ocean, seething with the waters.
With a coy smile, Mei greeted, "Pleasant evening isn't it, Lord Raikage?"
~~Scene of the Battle~~
"Seems you've spoken a bit too soon Darui." Chuckling, Aesir made a signal to the remaining Valkyries. Ever the one to have something in his back-pocket, the Valkyrie leader immediately threw his cards on the table. The rumbling thunder clouds, scattered as they were, stick cackled with lightning. Black Lightning. The Four Corner's Liger Bomb formation had drawn power from all the Valkyries, however, their power primarily went to forging the thunderstorm needed for the technique. Furthermore, the ones to direct the technique had not been the four black lightning users of the Valkyries. Aesir had them hoist back before engaging, resulting in the descent of four blue Ligers rather than four black ones.
Although a significant amount of the cloud's power had been spent with that, the Valkyrie's most powerful lightning users still stood at the ready, furthermore, they had something else prepared to assist their attack.
Circling the sky was Kara, one of the two Valkyrie's who'd not participated in the previous group attack. She'd just finished weaving her hand seals, and was prepared to go at any moment. Should things head south, she would be able to sweep her wind and lightning chakra into a vortex that would channel and slightly amplify the might of the next combined attack. It wasn't up to the standard of the thunderstorm they'd created earlier, but it was better than nothing.
As tension in the air rose, Mei chuckled dismissively. "Let's not get ahead of ourselves. It seems you've done us a bit of a favor dealing with this beast, however—" Narrowing her gaze on Ay, "You should be fully aware of how sensitive possession of these biju are, the Water Daimyo would not be happy to hear I turned a blind eye to the land of lightning claiming such a creature."
"However, a conflict in these circumstances...the losses for both parties would be more than they were worth." Wearing an expression of thought, the Mizukage calmly proposed, "The Mist can retreat, but we'd rather not leave completely empty handed."
Following her statement, Mei relayed a small list of materials, a payment of sorts. They were not particularly expensive, and certainly didn't compare in value to the biju, but as they said, one's man trash was another man's treasure. Woven into her request, amidst the pool of other miscellaneous items, were materials that would hasten the recovery effort of the Mist.
However, as to not inadvertently betray their condition, she'd expertly woven them between a plethora of other materials, allowing no certain conclusion to be drawn based on her request alone.
Continuing on, she proposed, "Things have been quite...hectic as of late. The attack on Konoha, the escape of your own jinchuriki, the appearance of this Biju. Even just one of these would be a major event! So many of them, so close together, this matter should be discussed...don't you think?"
Though she hadn't been direct, her intention of gathering a Kage's Summit was clear, so too was the fact that she was requesting the Raikage throw in his vote. With two Kage backing this summons, things would go much smoother.
Koki'o
Now near 10 km away from the scene, the confrontation between the Mist and Cloud was no longer visible, having receded over the horizon.
"This should be far enough, don't you think?"
Giving Kiro an eerie smile, the Crying Star tensed her fists. She threw a look towards the nearest Jonin, Hinagiku, and spoke cheerily. "Hope you don't mind the distraction~"
Biting her thumbs, she took of running, weaving hand seals as she did. "I would give the dead-weight to the clone if I were you~"
Her intention was clear, the kidnapping operation began now. From her position, it would take her only a handful of seconds to close in on Kiro.
Hinagiku
Hina only sparred a passing glance towards Koki'o and her altercation with Kiro refocusing her attention elsewhere. The Hyuga Matriarch was, apparently, unconcerned with the Nadeshiko kunoichi's advance on Kiro. From her one glance, she'd gathered, compiled and assessed the data about the situation.
Expression, Posture, Heart Rate, Depth of breath... all the little knicks and knacks in body language that the Nadeshiko could project had been captured by Hinagiku's Byakugan. She then judged that the intent to harm or even kill was completely absent from the Nadeshiko's assault. This was merely a scuffle between children.
Although she paid a modicum of attention to the events, the bulk of her attention was better placed elsewhere. Pakura and Kakashi had yet to reconvene with them, along with a number of the genin who lagged slightly behind. In addition, the altercation between the Cloud and Mist was also an event she watched closely.
Kumogakure had just lost their own jinchuriki, so if they failed to take this one then their power would certainly dip, such information which literally foretold the balance of the powers that be were to be grasped at every opportunity, and relayed with the utmost of haste.
