It’s like the original series for example. The characters that got more screen time (excluding Sakura) were atleast able to hold their own during the later parts of the story. The ones that lost screen time ended up being fodder. That’s the same thing that can happen here and it just wouldn’t be fair if a character who barely gets any development is able to compete with one who got loads of it...

I think that Sakura was a pretty established 'joke' they even started treating her like a joke;
Subs are in Spanish or something but Naruto basically tells her 'here, protect this flower while I go protect the village'

If he was about a floor above, then setting up a Swamp of the Underworld beneath him and mixing it with toad Oil courtesy of Jiraiya's summon, after that a ranged battle to feint him into thinking that Hinagiku would rather stay at a distance and lure him into getting close to her preferred range. Once he gets up close assuming he isn't immediately screwed by the gentle fist she'd hit him with an Added Rock Weight Jutsu and collapse the floor under him.

Along with the Added weight and the interference of the Anbu level Hinagiku herself I'd like to see him stop himself from falling towards the swamp. Finally, Furīsu would use Foxfire on the swamp itself igniting the whole things into a sea of mud and fire. Of course, it's still not as simple as it looks because Foxfire itself is pretty tricky, but after that, she'd just toy with him through air palms while he tried to avoid sinking into the swamp through the added weight or outright burning to death. If he dies we've still got Kimimaro so mission accomplished anyway, just needed to capture one of them.

Well, for one thing, I doubt the technique would actually work on an ANBU. Far weaker people resisted it in canon. That concession was just made with some ANBU in the stadium for the sake of drama.

:D Yea, I know, was just a joke. So was the swarming him with numbers thing. I still gotta show off Hinagiku's taijutsu style so she'll be going mostly solo.

The Kage tried. Rasa used sand, Mei used her lava and Ay used his electric coated fist. Onoki doesn't have a personal beef with Orochimaru, a possible motive to better his nation or is an ally of Konoha so he left and is in the destroyed medical area with Kurotsuchi.

Apples & oranges. Saying one barrier can tank that doesn't mean all other barriers act like that.

Considering he was confident that it could take 4 hokages rampaging inside, it’s really sturdy
