So basically alternating between the different natures if he focuses on it? Kind of like switching rounds of ammunition?
I mean if you're a god then yes, I worded it poorly. The answer is no, it won't switch from fire FBS to wind FBS mid battle, I'm just trying to make FBS universal to all basic nature transformations. Taiyo would use fire, but now I'm making it possible for someone like Zaku to use Wind FBS, then again I could just keep it fire exclusive and just list names of jutsu that will never exist just for the fun of it.

Alright, just woke up from a very needed nap, and I'm in the mood to get some writing in. What am I set to respond to?

Konan, Shōshitsugetsu, who else?

@Godjacob, the Hyūga clan has never slaughtered people to protect its secrets. Slaughter in this context is too strong a word. Sure, we'll kill anyone trying to gouge our eyes out for their own benefits, but we're not going out of our way to slaughter innocents in the process. We're a Clan that only attacks when aggressed, though we reserve the right to attack out of suspicion.

Can anyone tell me how to start a conversation with two OC’s in this RP?
Ikr weird stuff :\=|:
What do you mean?
I’m guessing he’s trying to figure out how to start an interaction without making it awkward or random? Like if he wants Raiku to interact w/ Kiro, the relationship their characters share rn doesn’t really allow Raiku to just walk up to Kiro and say ‘what’s up’ or something. That’s just my interpretation, I can’t say for sure that’s what he’s trying to figure out.

Um, you do know Tayuya (At this point) is a BAD guy right? Who just fought the Leaf? You can't really expect her to have a an unbiased view of the world. She just takes what she heard and makes some exaggerations to it.

fair point, though I do plan to develop a vicious side to the Hyūga. The main branch shall have it especially bad because of how strict the clan will be, they already have the senbon sparring ritual, so going based on that the training should be harsh, brutal, and leave temporary but meaningful injury.
Jin Yuki’s response to the head of the huzuki
that'll be Shōshitsugetsu's response.

I'll say this up front, if Furījia goes through what I have in mind for every single heiress candidate, then she's definitely going to get jaded.

She doesn't have the mindset to go through something like that and come out a positive person. She'll need some more...peppy influences to solidify her kindness and childish heart.

Naivety will not be tolerated for leaders of the Hyūga, or at least not childish naivety. The candidates will depart with a few of the clan's Jonin-Anbu tier, to experience the cruelty of the world in which they live.

They'll show the young heirs, and heiresses all the less than dignified sides of humanity, especially within a war-torn land.

If I get to that point, I can make some major developments with Furījia's character, but that'll be a make it or break it moment for her character traits.

Ah nice to see you actually had plans for her. It’s cruel but efficient, strikingly similar to a tactic the Yuki would do in my mind.

The Hyūga may be noble, but that never equated to kindness lol.

Perseverance is how ruthless one can be to themselves. Clan leaders (imo) need to have matured with the mindset that lives aren't worth a lot in this era, we're practically mercenaries after all, and as clan leaders, their each and every action influences the fate of hundreds if not thousands. As a leader, your fuck ups will lead to the deaths of thousands, and that burden needs to be made very clear.

I need to buff Tomiko up, cause right now too many of the important story figures are depressing/jaded/indifferent/antagonistic figures XD.
Sagisō: Indifferent unless you're family or a friend
Baiyan: Haven't decided yet tbh, I kinda want to make her jaded and very untrusting of men in general because of what she's experienced on her journey, but then I'm like...mayyyybbbee not.
Hinagiku: Actually pretty nice, unless you're an enemy.
Furījia & Rakūsupā: They fall into the same category of simply being kids, they haven't developed a set view on the world as of yet.
Oniyuri: Cautious but won't be indifferent, he's more likely to save you if you're a bishoujo though.

Eh, the way Shōshitsugetsu sees it, the stretch of ocean between the Mist and the Land of fire already belonged to the Hōzuki. There simply isn't any other clan that would be able to contest them underwater or capable of living permanently underwater like they do. Besides, that's a vast swathe of land too large for a single clan to colonize so that'd be pointless greed.

Secrecy is...a thing, but it's not like they don't already have secrecy.

The thing is they don't actually want to leave the ocean and do anything in broad daylight. The Hydrification jutsu requires the user to stay very hydrated, and they're most powerful in the ocean. They stay there as a matter of comfort more than anything else.

Azumi: Bitter, damaged and vengeful.
Tomiko: An optimist with an encouraging nature and generally nice.
Madoka: Anti-social minus her love of puppets and her recent friendship with Tomiko/Sakura/Yasu.
Kenji: A chill guy, indifferent to most things and is trying to find purpose in life. Also a bit bitter at himself for his performance in Konoha.
Sakura: Strong desire to be a strong kunoichi, and I'll expand more with this Tsunade fight. Always tries to do the right thing and lives by Kakashi's matto "those who abandon their friends are worst than trash."

One is evil, two are (Mostly) indifferent and the other two are good. Though it's the more moody or even more uncaring ones who rack up the W's here XD

While that is true, they also can now operate close to the land as they could never dream of doing so because of fishermen, boat traffic, and other basic things a harbor is that would otherwise compromise them. If this plan unfolds however, they wouldn’t have that restriction, and would be capable of operating outside the hidden mist’s sight if they wanted, as they seem to enjoy privacy

I don't think one clan can just claim an entire ocean. At some point you'd be in Leaf waters.
Leaf waters? and which clan is gonna come underwater to take their 'waters' back?

She couldn't care less about what the Leaf thinks are their waters. As far as she sees it the Hozuki are the only clan capable of claiming underwater territory, so if they did choose to move there no one would be able to stop them.

To put it simply, she just doesn't give a damn.

Compromise them how?

If they wanted to construct buildings or a permanent residence in the shallows then yea those people would be a hindrance, but otherwise, they wouldn't be able to compromise the Hōzuki in any way. At most, they'd be a minor annoyance, but even that's a very minor thing as noise and stuff would be dampened by the water.

Is this a resident of Sagiso's village? I was gonna have Azumi go there first on the assumption that Sagiso would be there so I am just curious.
She's my blind character, the disciple of the Nadeshiko head, and also the current strongest member of the younger generation.

My plans are to play off her name, so I can't make her too Jaded. Her name means White-eyed Lotus, and the lotus is known for being untainted despite the murky depths in which it grows. So she's supposed to come off a pure precisely because she's resisted the tainting of a filthy environment, but I also want her to develop into the Lotus, so she can't start out untainted.

They would altert the leaf village that foreign ninja are on their soil and in their waters and it would be a mess, especially since the leaf is albeit a stronger nation. The Hozuki would go back home licking their wounds and cradling their pride. But now they can get away with it, brainwash them so they don’t alert them, as well as many other things such as Being able to stop a lot of piracy in mist waters by stopping those ships since they are at the literal docks.

There are many advantages to this

They wouldn't leave the water if they didn't need to, and regular people would almost never realize they were there much less alert the leaf village to their presence.

But how would the Hozuki eat? How would they train? where would they sleep? How would they get peace of mind? Exactly. These things would only be had once the genjustu is placed, and it would make their risk 0% from the leaf getting involved. Also, haven’t they heard of actually improving the mist village? You know, like nearly everyone in the mist village’s goal?

Why would they need a genjutsu to do that? :?

They're perfectly capable of doing all those things within the water. They'd quite literally be capable of creating an underwater society comparable to Atlantis, and they wouldn't need to actively place genjutsu on people.

They'll assist the Mist village, but they're not ultranationalistic to the point where they'd go wage a war just to expand Mist boarders for...some reason. I'm not even sure why the Yuki want to expand borders at this point in time, the Mist hasn't even colonized all the islands within their own land.

It’s called a land grab. The United States did the same thing actually...several times throughout its history. Surely the Hozuki can understand that.

Also, risky business creating a underwater society if they could be caught and have to dismantled everything they built right? That’s where the genjustu comes into play, to also make the oblivious

The United States had colonized most of its land before expanding, but the Mist already has most land than it has the people the colonize :T

Particularly the Hōzuki who are able to basically colonize the entire ocean floor which they already don't have nearly enough clan members to colonize.

Risky business you say? How so?

Well Taiyo will visit her every now and then and again, but he can only do so much, still, if he were to get involved, his positive attitude would likely benefit Furījia long term.
Don't worry Soul, Shiho's got this
