Course, getting all the Kenjis as they adjusted their positions in one side was far from easy, they circled and looked to cover a different flank even as he armored up and adjusted his position. The dirk kicked up behind the wind release was met with their electric claws cutting through the dirt in their pursuit, as this had shifted to a full on brawl and Kenji as well as his companions had been here for it.

One Kenji jumped over the whip as it aimed to circle back and try to slash at his back, goal to duck under the gauntlet swing and try to land a blow to his vulnerable flank. The other who the sword was aimed for used its electric claws to block the blade as sparks flew and it tried to cut into the blade a bit before it was knocked back a step.

The "central" Kenji, whether he had been real or one of the Ninken in disguise, was focused on with a headbutt but this Kenji jumped up and aimed to slash at the shoulder with its electric claw as constant movement among the trio made the action chaotic.

Course, this only increased the drive they had as they tried to nick and slash at Hisato with these multiple attacks, the goal more so to chip at the defenses, slash at openings and spread a shock to his system if they could.

As Kiro walked onto the battlefield, he could could hear the roaring of the rowdy crowd. They seemed excited for the semifinals to begin. If Kiro managed to win this, then he would be onto the finals with a shot at winning this whole thing. Both his previous opponents were extremely skilled. This meant he should be expecting nothing less from an opponent who had made it as far as him. Considering the village Azumi was from, he had no doubt she had something to prove as well. Perhaps he should take a more aggressive approach from the start, but that would cost the opportunity to feel out his opponent. While waiting for Azumi to appear, Kiro would take the time to think about possible strategies.

~Episode 268: Bones Vs Mutts...~

Last episode, Hisato and Kenji had been fighting head to head... Err... Skull to paw. In a chunin exam fight, both contestants giving it their all, but only one can emerge victorious. Kenji launched which was countered by the bone ninja himself. To which the pawsome ninja countered off. Will the bone ninja die? :?

As the two Kenji's on both sides moved and readied a strike, Hisato rolled forward to avoid the strikes. Holding his gauntlets up, protecting his weak spots. The claw of the central Kenji, slid off Hisato's gauntlet. Hisato made an attempt to wrap his whip around the arm of Kenji, and hyperextend it in place. He fired a carpel shot with his other arm at the two other Kenji.

September 25th (Chunin Exams, Konoha)
Azumi would soon make her arrival as she faced her opponent, a Mist Ninja who undeniably had potential if he progressed this far. In truth, Azumi was just happy to fight someone not from Iwa in this tournament, now she had a duty to show up the Mist's chosen son.

Azumi scanned the young man quickly as her face betrayed no emotion outside of a determined focus; much as she had with her prior opponents she'd give nothing short of her best effort here as anything less might mean defeat, the proctor soon moved between the pair of ninja as he outlined the rules that had becoming seeded in her mind by this point as he checked if both were ready and as Azumi nodded the proctor raised his hand into the air.

"Alright, our semi-battle bout between Kiro of the Mist and Azumi Noriko of the Rain will now...begin!"

Wosh!
With a rapid step Azumi had pulled her umbrella off her back and charged with her club-like weapon as she aimed to get it within Kiro's range and took a swing; one aimed right for the legs of her foe as she'd try to sweep him off his feet if not break the bone if she could.

----------
The fight was intense and as electric sparks surged off the claws the melee had only gotten ever more frantic; a bone whip attempted to wrap around the arm of one of the Kenjis, and while he managed to avoid it it had cut into the arm which caused those feral eyes to wince as a bit of blood dropped. Still, it saw a chance to counter attack and slashed at a weak section of the whip with its electric claws as it aimed to try and break it apart before advancing in.

Two other Kenji worked to avoid the caprel shots; one simple shifted to the side while the other used its electric-charged claws to slice through it, both aimed to circle and strike with surging stabs to Hisato's back as they moved with a relentless pace.

~Unnamed mist shinobi vs unnamed unnamed cloud kunoichi...~
(Filler episode/this fight is about as canon as dragon ball gt.)

Kenji's claw made a swipe at Hisato's whip. The sound of bone breaking could be heard. Hisato cracked his whip against the ground causing a third of it to break off where it had been struck multiple times.

Hisato went to the ground sweep aimed at the legs of the Kenji in front of him. His intentions were to grab the wrip with his sword arm. A whip 2/3 it's original size in one hand and the broken off piece in the other hand.

Before Hisato could turn to attack the two other Kenji, he had let it rip farted. Anyone behind him would get caught in the blast radius. A silent and deadly attack of pure evil. Hisato used the broken whip to try slap the claws of one of two Kenji behind him. Stepping at an angle so that the Kenji, Hisato had blocked was standing in between him and the other Kenji that was behind him.

His opponent didn’t even wait a second once the battle was started. Kiro didn’t even have to say his usual line for Azumi to come for him, which was respectable. It seemed like she was taking things serious from the start. From the fight he did see of her and Keito, Kiro knew a bit of how her umbrella worked. The umbrella was no ordinary one to say the least. That’s why it might’ve seemed a bit risky for him to not attempt to dodge. Instead, Kiro performed some hand seals for a lightning jutsu as Azumi drew closer. This was so he’d be able to perfectly time its reveal for when she used her umbrella, which she did. Aiming for his legs was a good tactic considering his speed, but a bit predictable. As she would logically lower her aim for the blow to his legs, he too would crouch slightly and then wait for the right moment to grab the umbrella with both of his hands. Although his hands would be on the receiving the brunt of the pain from her swing, he should still be able to grab ahold of it and then use his jutsu.

“Lightning Release: Chain Lightning.”

Normally, this jutsu would automatically go to the closest human or object with water in it. However, assuming his hands were actually grabbing the umbrella, the lightning would actually have a quick and straight path straight to his opponent throughout the weapon. This would also allow him to simultaneously imbue his lightning chakra into the umbrella. That meant, like any object imbued with lightning chakra, electrical currents could be sent through it. If there was someone holding that object, they would likely be paralyzed briefly by the shock once the electrical current transferred over to the attached body part. Basically, Azumi would be in for quite a shock if his lightning got onto the weapon. Even the lightning around the umbrella would be electrifying. If she somehow managed to stop Kiro from getting too touchy with her favorite toy, then the lightning on his hands would still reach out to her by default due to the base function of the technique.

The Kenji at the front had quickly hopped backwards in a backflip as it worked to avoid the swing of the broken bone weapon, but as it had it reached to its pouch and fired a few shuriken at Hisato. The bonus to his electric hands surging with the energy is that they had bled onto his very weapons as they sailed with an electric surge aimed right to his chest.

Course this worked much better than the two Kenji at the rear.

Their senses had been enhanced in every aspect, which in cases like this was a double edged sword, as the certain...let's say "aroma" that Hisato had just released reached their noses as both Ninja Ninken/human hybrids which caused them to gag and race back to try and clear that foul odor out of their system. The swipes at their paws were met with little resistance as their electric nails railed on the bone and they were forced back with a pain in their wrists as they needed to regroup...once the smell had faded in the air.

"S-seriously? What the actual hell man!?" One of the Kenji complained covering his nose as this had been a revolting shift to things.

----------
Indeed Azumi's strike was a touch on the predictable side of things, swinging the umbrella for the legs was not the most creative use of her umbrella strikes. More curiously as she swung, the blade at the end of her umbrella seemed to stick out, but there was a method to the madness, the second Kiro began to duck down, she stabbed the ground next to him with the umbrella, and her hand within the pouch revealed some wire which she used to wrap around his hands as she aimed to tie his hands onto her umbrella!

Azumi moved with a rather rapid speed, as the aim seemed clear, when Kiro would trigger his electricity it would naturally follow the point of least resistance to a target, and given her umbrella stuck into the ground off a metal end like a lightning rod, it would work to divert electricity away from her body though she had already worked to move her hands off the handle of it. The real aim was to take this opening to slam a heel right onto the face of the Mist ninja before he had a chance to cut himself free to react to this sudden binding maneuver she had attempted.

Course the kick was one thing, sliding a hand to swipe his weapon's pouce as she delivered the strike was the real aim as whether or not she had been successful she'd hope away and fire a trio of shuriken at her foe as she seemed to move like a machine; relentless as she came at Kiro with a rapid determination.

~You already know who's fighting, if you don't then you haven't been reading my or Jacob's posts...~

Hisato whirled his broken whip around. the whip slapped away shuriken and his gauntlet deflected what shuriken his whip might have missed. Hisato's whip and gauntlet blocked the shurikens and his gauntlet protected him from most of the electricity damage, but he could still feel the shock through his arm which made his arm hair stand on end.

"If you can't take the heat!!! Err... If you can't take the smell, get outta the kitche- I mean arena! Hahaaa! Hisato said filling his broken off piece of whip with wind chakra and throwing it at the Kenji that had thrown shuriken at him, as if the broken off whip were a dart. Hisato jumping through the stench and ready to press his advantage. Hisato threw seven sword slashes at the two Kenji. Three at the Kenji on the left, and four at the Kenji on the right.

September 25th (Chunin Exams, Konoha)

One of the Kenjis, the one presumed to be Sky, seemed to snarl at that comment. The idea that odor like that could be tried to pass off as "strategy" had insulted her but the trio seemed to focus on the task before them as Hisato prepared another attack. While the projectiles failed to land a target they did do damage and send a jolt through him as the electric current could bypass his defense.

Speaking of the defense, as the odor drifted through the air out of the area they were forced on the defensive as each Kenji worked to dodge the sword strikes the best they could, shifting and moving quickly as the dart of the broken section of bone had caused a shift in the counter attack. They managed to avoid the worst of it though a cut least managed to slip and hit the sides of two Kenji and the thigh of another which caused them to wince. However, with his focus divided three ways it opened them to strike back, with electricity surving through the nails they circled and stuck as they aimed to slash at Hisato with those claws wither to keep his blade busy as one Kenji seemed focused on while the other two aimed to claw at his armor and sides to slash much as they could.

"We'll see who can't handle the pressure!" Kenji mused in a rather feral retort as his eyes glanced with that beastly look and the intensity seemed kicked up another gear.

~Hisato Gato Vs Kenji Satoru...~

With wind flowing through hisato's bone blade, he would first need to deal with the Kenji in front of him. With his sword held out in front of him to catch the first Kenji's attacks. Hisato thrusted his blade forward to either severely injure him or force him to move.

In order to deal with the two Kenji on the sides, he would need to place himself in a better position. Hisato leaped into the air, "Propelling winds!!" He called out as he used a wind style jutsu to send him up and a distance forward so that he went over the head of the Kenji in the front, and having all three Kenji in front of him now.

Hisato fired a carpel shot before landing.

September 25th (Chunin Exams, Konoha)

The Kenji in front had a feral grin as his electric claws slashed at the bone sword, sparks flew as his goal was to deflect the shots and even damage the blonde blade as each slash along it caused electricity to surge down towards Hisato as it hoped to shock him to hinder his actions and open up chances to claw at him.

The two other Kenji attempted to close in to slash, even prepared to jump after him, but he used a wind jutsu to leap over all three and fire some carprel shots which forced the trio of Kenjis to move back as they just managed to avoid it. Some visible wounds of the bone blade a reflection of the toll this battle had taken.

"This has been a lot of fun, Hisato. Glad I had the chance to fight you. But I think it's time we wrap this up~" Kenji said, as the other two clones moved beside him and with a handsign he seemed to send a powerful surge of electricity that shot through their bodies. The trio then charged ahead, and had began to spin as the electricity seemed to feed off this rapid momentum before a trio of electric twisters shot out towards Hisato at a rapid speed.

"Thunder Fang Over Fang!"

~Hisato 'Iron Back' Gato Vs Kenji 'Hard Carry' Satoru...~

The wind that enveloped Hisato's blade disperced sparks as hisato flicked his blade to catch any sparks that might have hit him. As Hisato stood there watching the three Kenjis. Kenji 1, Kenji 2, and useless Kenji, Hisato smirked at their comment. Catching his breath, Hisato paused for a moment, then took a deep breath before speaking.

"Agreed! Gotta save some energy for round 2! Preferably after we become chunin and I likely reach sage mode or something like that" Hisato said with a slight cocky grin.

It was now or never. Hisato wasn't sure how much longer he was gonna be standing, but the longer he stood there, the more he could feel the fatigue setting in. A determined look, and a rush of adrenaline. Hisato loosened his tunic causing it to sag to his waist. Bones protruded from his body and along his arms. He threw the second half of his broken whip at one of the Kenji and formed a blade in his other arm, then made. Hisato would send wend through his blades. He had no intention in trying to block their attacks as that would cost him some of his remaining energy. Instead, his goal was to try and take out two of the three Kenji with him. Hypothetically if he was still standing after that, he'd have to deal with the third Kenji. Though Hisato hadn't quite thought that far ahead at the moment.

A flashback of a younger Hisato, Practicing his bone blades on a bamboo target. He paused to whipe the sweat off his brow, then a grin followed by a chuckle. Clenching his fist and holding it up high, "One of these days I'm going to fight some of the best ninjas ever! And probably be one of those ninjas!" The young Hisato said.

September 25th (Chunin Exams, Konoha)

Kenji much like Sky and Thundra had also been on their last legs stamina wise so this last clash was likely to decide this contest one way or another. And that was just fine with Kenji, after rounds of his matches being postponed or having flat finishes he was eager to go out on this high note as he felt he had finally shown these guys what they had been capable of. And a chance to show that had been all that they desired from these exams.

He owed Hisato a lot, and he hoped for another chance to clash with this guy. But for now, they had a match to win.

The bone barrage had come as a couple were sucked into the thunder twisters, a few were blown aside but others had snuck in and cut along his companions as blood mixed with the twisters as lightning crackled hard and they closed in rapidly. Kenji however intended to win or lose with his ninken, and together the trio had come together as they spun around each other and formed a massive twister and this thunder Taijutsu stike sailed as they aimed to simply slash through Hisato's projectiles and slammed into the man himself as a violent current exploded from the impact and if one looked carefully enough smiles on both sides before a cloud of smoke was produced along with scattered bones and some electric fallout.

On one side of the now ruined field, two huskies were panting on the ground as they had some visible cuts and bruises from the battle as Sky and Thundra had reverted to their normal states the battle having drained them. Kenji, who had blood dripping and what seemed to be a bone sticking out of his right shoulder, remained on his feet amazingly and with his eyes feral as he glanced back and had a clawed hand up in a protective stance over his companions. Sky and Thundera, touched by this also tried to least stand to growl in case the battle had gone on.

But one the dust was clear, it seemed Hisato had spent his spirit and remained on the ground, and the protector had seen all he needed to.

"The winner of the match...Kenji Satoru."
