Kosa Island: a small, peculiar, banana-shaped island hidden right in the middle of the grand South Blue. Warm sparkling waves seem to guide people from all ends of the sea to its alluring white sand beaches. It was originally discovered by a shipwrecked adventurer who one day woke up to find himself slumbering on the sands of this tropical paradise who sustained himself on the various rare native bounties of the island, including an especially odd fruit that blessed him with the strange power to draw people or things to him like a beacon of sorts. It was because of this gift that throughout the years many lost souls looking for a chance to make their mark found themselves drawn to the island and settling into it to establish one of the most prolific marketplaces in the entire world.
However, on this particular day there was a commotion beyond the typical bustling of the busy shoppers and vendors. Right in the center of a plaza, a boy with copper whip-like arms clashed with another who wielded a yari. The one with dark brown hair could be heard angrily shouting about how the other had stolen his pork buns while the other smirked as he seemed to be enjoying the fight.
“Double Tap.” Korai, the spear-wielder, weaved between the cooper whips of his opponent and thrusted his yari towards his opponent Yama’s stomach.
He twisted just in time to avoid puncturing any major organs, but he was unable to avoid the attack in it’s entirety as the yari punctured the right side of his abdomen.
“Aaugh... you’re gonna pay for that.” Yama hissed at Korai. He jumped up before the second strike could reach him and prepared his counter attack.
“Squid.” Yama’s fingers all grew into large cooper tentacles that wrapped around Korai’s yari and drove it into the ground.
Using the planted spear as leverage, Yama turned himself sideways so his legs were square to his opponent. “Goat.” He extended both legs and kicked Korai in the chest to knock him backwards into the sea of vendors.
