There are a lot of damn strange user names out there. I mean, some makes senselike, "pkmnluvr226" and "gardevior", but what about "figs"? or "Sem"? (eheeheehee sorry Sem, couldn't think of anyone else to pick on)

Is there a story behind your user name? I'm curious. ^^ Why did you chose to become who you are online? Did it just tickle your fancy? Is there a story behind it? Is it tradition? does it sound cool? was it your best friend's final words? Tell me! I want to know!

My username's simple. I use it pretty much everywhere now, but I started using it on Pokeschool. When I registered there, I didn't want to keep using my neopets name everywhere (Hey, I was young. :p), so I tried to think of what I did when I was in primary school, and everyone was into pokemon. Of course, the first thing that sprang to mind was when my friends and I had tried to write a book about the different types. I was the fire specialist. We all had nicknames, so I was Prof. Cinders, the guy who was the electric specialist was Prof. Watts, etc. :p Since we were only about 10 at the time, though, the book never pulled through and we all went to different high schools. 4 years later, and I remember the name, and start using it everywhere. And so you have Prof. Cinders on your hands. ^^

I was signing up for Pokeschool, needed a name and my mind got to thinking "What was my favourite Pokemon character". I ended up going with Gary and was known simply as Gary Oak for a good few years.

The Doctor bit originally came from a simple doodle I did in maths once (while being extreeeemely bored), where I essentially came up with a signature "Dr. Oak" - which you can see recreated by mouse (eugh) at the bottom of the final Future of Pokemon article on the site.

I ended up adapting that into my username when I got sick of people calling me Gary as if it were my real first name. :p

Yes yes. Sem is rather unique, but the story is pretty simple. See when I was younger and on teh internets I would always have the nickname Semaj, which is my name backwards, and I thought that was cool. XD And after a while, people were beginning to call me Sem for short since people like to abbreviate everything. And I fell in love with the name ^^;... That's it.

And I think its an actual name too... >>

I think I explained what my user name meant in the Trainer Card topic but there's more to it. I took Spanish as a foreign langauge and I have always liked Spanish names. Carmen was a first name that I like. It's almost like the name told me to pick it (ha ha). Lopez is the last name of one of my friends.

Carmen Lopez is a name I like to use in place of my real name on the internet when I'm afraid of identity theft. It's a feeble attempt I know, but hey. Then I decided to use it as my user name. Plus it's totally different from my Pokeschool name of AnimeStarr.

haha, I just realized maybe i should explain mine?

I got banned from the internet when i was like, 12, and when i came back i was several years older and ready for a cooler name than "KandyKatz"

. . . yeah. I know. I was 10. what do you want.

So I pulled together a huge list of interesting names and this one really struck a chord with me. ^^ It was also about the time I met my first boyfriend, back when i was a hopeless romantic. . . ^^;;;; so, MoonStuck means "In Love", to make a long story short, Dragon 'cause those are neat, and Lass, 'cause I'm a chick, and it gave it medieval over tones, i suppose. . . So i'm a girl dragon who is hopelessly in love. . . ?

I'm actually a twisted old cynic, but i've had the name for about 3 years now, and i use it everywhere. My Blog names, my screen names, my email, as my name on forums, my pen name, I sign my art "MSDL", I have a dog tag with "moonstruckdragonlass" on it, a necklace with charms that spell out MSDL, and as soon as i actually get a license and a car, i'm getting a vanity plate with "MSDL" on it. . .

but it's a 20 character long name, so it's hard to use in some places, as most allow 12 or 15 characters. . . I first used it as my deviantART account name, and it's been a part of me ever since. Most people just call me MoonStruck, but i've also been shortened to "Moon", "MS", "DragonLass", and "Moony". ^^;

But it's my name, and I love it, and it's more me then my birthname, now. *laughs*

I had various different names before, but like many of the strange things in my life, 'StellarWind' just happened. It's one of those things that just felt right.

The Elsydeon part also fit in. Was it fate or just strange fortune that I found out at some point that Elsydeon was also the name of a sword, not to mention a frelling awesome one, in Phantasy Star IV, one of my favorite games? No one knows... It just floated into my mind... And StellarWind Elsydeon I have been since...

Well, my middle name's David and the "Da Bomb" part was just put to spice it up.

My Bulbapedia account is "Pokenyclopedia" because I'm basically a genius when it comes to Pokemon.

I gave myself the name "Arceus Ex Machina" on BMGf because I thought it sounded clever.

The name Sanjuro is from an anime that i loved alot. It is from .Hack//Signs. I loved that show so muched. I played the games everyday for a year. I've carried it as an account name for over 2 years. So thats my story.

My screen name is very simple, its uniqueness is pretty much lost whenever I explain it, but oh well, I'll get over it...
My real name is Rupert Lee Robert Lutz.... Meaning that my initials are RLRL.
Im pretty fond of my initials so tend to use them as screen names on various sites, in fact there are very few places where I don't use RLRL as my screen name.

Now anyone that ever wondered what my screen name is most likely let down by its simplicity, unless you knew the meaning before.
What I find interesting is that so many people thought it meant Right Left Right Left, namely Linkachu who if I remember correctly was the first one to tell me thats what they thought it meant.

Yeah, Yeah, EVERYONE has to pick on me :( ... :p .... well, anyways, my username was originally a joke name that started as "Sir Issac Fig Neuton" Soon after that, since we got tired of saying it, we changed it to "Figs" And now I use it every so often, on forum's, and stuff.. (oh, Btw, the real name is David.)

I'd explain it to you, but I'm afraid my sarcasm circuitry blew a whole box of fuses by the force of that comment alone.

Cards on the table time. Quite frankly, I really don't like your attitude. Prancing about, acting all self-important, going all 'I'm a genius when it comes to PokéMon' even though in reality you don't know more than any of the rest of us (no such thing as an expert on PokéMon. The fandom changes too often), making that horrendously ridiculous catchphrase time and time again just to take up volume on posts and sound smart, constantly reporting posts that quite frankly we notice anyway because we're looking for them (I do believe the rules mention something about not policing the boards?), sometimes posting just to say something that you think is doing your image good.

Well, newsflash, sir 'Da Bomb' - You really aren't. In fact, all you're succeeding in doing is sounding ridiculously arrogant and rather full of yourself, and that sort of behaviour rather bothers me - because no one likes condescending people.

I cannot really do anything about it, of course - that is you and your chosen attitude, but think about this. Because this is how you look to an outside onlooker.

Since first discovering the critter in '98 and falling in love with it, I'd been using the nickname Raichu at various places. It started as just my first ICQ nickname but soon spread to a few forums, accounts, etc. I've had oodles of random nicknames throughout my online career, but generally if I couldn't think of anything to use just I reverted back to Raichu.

It wasn't until years later during one of mine and Stel's early, random chats over AIM that my current nickname came to be. He was in a drawing mood and asking for suggestions, so I started throwing some out. Originally I'd said "Draw me a Moogle!" (I've

The story behind my name? not that interesting....

I fell in love with anime, and I was watching quite a bit of it, thoug hit did not afect my usernames. then one day, a few years back, some nOOb didn't like my name on neopets (yes yes, we've all been there >_>)) and turned it in to get me banned....Or at least, until I changed it. So I remeber sitting there thinking, great, what now?

At that moment, I was on the phone with me Best Freind, and she was talking about her Anime Club. Ealier that day, I had read about capitalizing classes with the letters '101' after them. so we luanched on this conversation about how great it would be to have an actuall class on how to be an anime fanatic. and the name was born! I now use it everywhere.
Yes, Everywere, only having to modify if the underscores aren't allowed....

And that is how the name Anime_Fanatics_101 was born. *bows* XP

lawlz. As cool as I'd think the names Eitak or Enirehtak are, think I'll stick with my standard nickname ;)

MSDL has a point - I wouldn't really want to go around called "Toille", so reversing people's screen names to find their actual names isn't really something I do. Kindly don't get pissy and sarcastic about it, just because we don't all think like you.


Anyway, as for my username...
Originally, I tried to sign up to Pokeschool as "Ninja_Trainer_Yuffie", but the confirmation email never sent, so I signed up again. Instead, though, I thought of the character I'm best as on SC2 - Yoshimitsu. Then, I thought, "We're on a pokemon forum... Why not call myself Trainer_Yoshimitsu?" and that stuck.

My other name's Yoshimitsu27. Yoshimitsu for the same reason, but the 27 is half of my birthdate - 27/9. And 2 + 7 = 9.

About six years ago I needed a new username to get a limited edition pet on neopets. After trying a few names that were all taken I randomly hit my keyboard and the name has stuck since.

I actually was wondering where the name "rinok" came from, and I must say... that's the best screen name origin I've ever read XD
