Ask to Join Outcasts 2

James looked over at his now ringing telephone, a noodle hanging comedically from his mouth, for he'd made himself some Ramen. Slurping it up, he approached the Phone, and picked it up, putting it to his ear. "O'Neil residence. This is James speaking."

Rin was a little startled when someone answered the phone, to be honest. "Hello, James. My name is Rin Shiro, and I'd like to speak to you about the topic of metas, humans with powers people claim to be unnatural."

"Let him know that I'll be showing up and so will Dillon. No surprises," Quickdraw imterupted. "Any surprises could cause a lack of trust." Then he continued to focus on the road. At the rate they were going, they would get there in about 2 hours.

James was expecting the topic of metas to come up. It was what he was well known for. "Ahem. Over the Phone isn't the best time to discuss this. Must we set an appointment for Saturday?" He asked.

Rin smiled. "Oh, don't worry. This phone can't be traced. Anyway, I'd like to hear about your opinion on the apparent threat of metas on humankind, as people have been taking them way too seriously and locked them up in security prisons."

Rin smiled even wider. "Well, if those questions weren't enough to convince you, I believe that this next question will. Have you ever considered exactly who this is? You could even dub it a what, as that's what we've been demoted to these days."

Rin laughed. "Indeed I am. Part of the Resistance, actually. I'll be coming over to that bakery next to all those tall buildings with some friends of mine who are also Outcasts. Get here, and we'll have some coffee as we talk. My treat."

James looked out the dark window. He had a busy day ahead of him... it was late... but this was an opportunity he could not even hope to pass up. "I'll be there."

James grabbed his Coat, put on some decent attire, and cleaned himself up. First impressions are everything. He looked into the mirror before leaving his apartment, heading for said coffee shop.

"Hopefully," Quickdraw said pulling into the parking spot, and shutting off the car. He put he phone is his pocket, and took off his holsters, placing them in the glovebox. He took out the key and stepped out of the car. "Okay, let's go."

Rin nodded and exited the car, entering the coffee shop. He motioned to the cashier, handing her a wad of cash. "3 coffees." The cashier nodded and started brewing the coffee. Rin found a table and sat down, signalling the others to do the same.

James entered the Coffee shop, and looked around. He had no idea who he was looking for, but due to how late it is, and the fact that only one table has people at it, he assumes this is the Outcasts. But as to avoid a potentially embarrassing encounter in case they're not, he holds back, trying to make eye contact with one.

Rin noticed a man in fancy attire walk in and assumed he was James O'Neill. He waved over to the man and stood up, walking to him. "Hello there. I assume you're James O'Neill?"

"I'm assuming you're the Outcast I'm meeting." James replied, keeping his voice down. He wished the place was crowded. It would make their conversation a bit easier.

Rin smiled and nodded, shaking James' hand. "Indeed. Rin Shiro, a pleasure. Come, sit down." He grabbed the three coffees and sat down with everyone else. "Let's get into business, shall we?"

"My name is Quickdraw and I'm the chief strategist. It's a pleasure," he said sticking his hand out for a handshake. "We are having a bit more problems than the government actually perceives."

"What problems are we talking about here?" James asked as he looked over each of them. They didn't seem all that different. They could fit into a crowd. For some reason, James had always thought the Outcasts would look very different from ordinary people.

"Well as you may or may not know, Metas have been being imprisoned. We've been having to break them loose, by bending the laws a bit if you will." Quickdraw said taking a drink of coffee. "These assaults on prisons have gotten us in trouble as expected. We've not only had a large target on our backs, more than ever, but some accusations about some Metas are correct. There are a few Metas who fit society's stereotype quite well, and with the governments more, uncaring approach, we are having to be the ones who clean up that mess." He straightened himself up and stared at James intensely. "A better way of putting it would be shit has hit the fans, and we need a bit of help to clean it up. We have no influence in Washington, while you actually hold some ground, being one of the few bureaucrats to actually pocess actual human conscience. We need your help."

"I see. This is quite a convenient coincidence, as I am in need of your assistance as well." James says to Quickdraw and the others. "See, I need a perfect representative. Somebody who can not only show that metas are good, but can provide support to the nation. Someone patriotic, and influencing. I've been thinking about this for quite some time now. When I was a child, I would read stories about super heroes. It's all a reality now, but not how it should be. We need to form a Government friendly organization, directed by the Government. If they're in control, then they're happy. When they say good things about metas, the public begin to love them. The Government would be arrogant at first, but as these dangerous metas continue to ravage the planet, eventually they'll call on you for support. It's inevitable. But Washington is not where we start. We need to start small, get more of the other states first, start a movement. This is how our relationship can work, see? I help you, you help me, It's a win-win situation for everyone." James took a deep breath, having said all this quickly and in one breath.

"Okay, glad to know we are on the same page, but who exactly do you need as a representative?" Quickdraw asked. This next question was crucial to this entire meeting. With the situation at hand, they needed someone strong, but would be watched and had to temporarily act good. They were going to be the spokesperson for all Meta kind. 'I however see a bit of a problem. We cannot give the government too much power. They'll be ignorant until last minute. We will need enough freedom to do our job. As much as I hate to admit it, but a path to peace will be a bloody one."

Chaos watched with raised eyebrows from a small orb in his palm. These kids were going to try to get help. not if he could help it. The more pressure, the harder would it be for people to listen. He needed to keep the outcasts under a short leash, with no room to move.

"I have quiet friends on several committees. I have eyes and ears, and influencing voices here and there, but these are not enough. My friends in the Government can help you, as they are with me. I do not know which of you would be best for this job. I assumed one of you would come to a decision, as you all know each other well, I presume?"

Draco drove past the wood's on his Motorcycle "man i need to find Zane soon" he told himself before he slow down to watch a waterfall. "Hmm that waterfall i could use that" he said just as he got off his Motorcycle.

Rin frowned. "There's also a big problem. This." He showed James the video frame by frame of Jack wreaking havoc in an instant. "This man is spiked with abnormal power. This is frame by frame. The destruction in normal speed happened before you could even blink. He was already dangerous before, but I was able to subdue him for a while as my friends escaped. But last time, it was different. He seems to have encountered another catalyst, and now his powers are spiked to a higher peak. Furthermore, we've found out that he's not the only one. He seems to be only a pawn of a being with the power to wipe our planet out. You're plan could work, provided this omnipotent being doesn't destroy us all first."

Draco dive into the water as the waterfall pour down on him "Whoo" he cried out while he spash around in water "i wonder what the other's are doing now?" he ask himself.

"This... this is what has been ravaging the coasts?" James asks, furrowing his brow at Jack. "This is perfect! Once we provide the Government with this knowledge, the process of getting them to trust the Outcasts is greatly accelerated! Especially if you somehow take out Jack, the Government will have no choice but to put their faith in you... I can see it now. Earth's defenders." James was getting excited.

Dillon had fallen asleep in the car. "When did they reach?" Dillon asked himself as he looked around. "It looks they already went inside." Dillon said as he got outside the car. He walked inside the building and managed to locate Rin and QuickDraw talking to another man. Dillon was about to walk over to the group before he bumped into someone.

"Watch where the fuck you're going you retard!" The man exclaimed as he looked at the coffee that was spilled on him. Dillon was trying to hold back his laughter. Too make matters worse, the guy's girlfriend was trying to hold back her laughter which got the guy even more pissed. He decided to take his anger out on Dillon. "I'm sorry!" Dillon exclaimed not knowing what to do. "Let me help you clean this up." Dillon said as he tried to get some napkins before he was pulled back. "No, you think this is funny don't you." The guy exclaimed as he was about to punch Dillon straight in the face.

For any normal human, that punch would've connected as well probably knocking them out. Everyone looked shocked when Dillon had sidestepped and blocked the punch with one hand. Dillon looked around and realized what he did. "Crap!" Dillon exclaimed and let down his guard long enough for the guy to punch him in the side of his face...

Rin dashed in between the man and Dillon, grabbing the wrist before the man could even blink. He glared at the man, his eyes turning into a deep red hue. "Leave him alone. It was an accident." He let go of his wrist and signaled Dillon to sit at the table with James and Quickdraw. "Be a bit more careful next time, okay?"

Alex sat upon the roof of the mansion, looking up at the clouds. Alex breathed in slowly, "What a nice day... I wonder how the others are doing. They are in a place full of humans after all, hopefully they haven't gotten into a fight... Yet." Alex mumbled to himself. Alex's condition has improved a lot throughout these past days, he can finally at least help out around the house. Alex's dirty blonde hair blew within the wind, "This new hoodie fits nice, but I like my old one better." Alex said as he reached up and ripped the bandage from around his head off and threw it, it flowed with the wind just like a kite.

"Thank you Rin, but don't you think you might've exposed yourself?" Dillon asked as he tried to ignore some of the glares they were recieving from some of the employees as well as the few customers. The guy looked at his girlfriend as held his wrist. "He's probably one of those frieks." He told the girlfriend. She just shook her head took the guy away.

Once he sat down at the table, Dillon looked at James. "So is he the guy?" Dillon asked the others as he analyzed him. James didn't seem as old as Dillon thought he would be. To be honest, Dillon was suprised that was willing to help them.

James was leaned back in his seat, rubbing his temple. "Engaging in confrontations like that is NOT how I imagined the Outcasts to operate in their revival. The public has terrible views on you all. But the Government cannot be entirely to blame for this, as most of the blame resides on all of your shoulders. An entire militia obliterated by a man with a katana and triangle shades. He was reported to having been seen operating with you all. Tell me, is he with you?"

Rin shrugged. "It's no worse treatment than getting locked up in a maximum security prison, that's for sure. James, meet Dillon, and to answer your question, yes. We've been trying to keep him calm for a while."

"Okay." James says. "If we've discussed everything of importance..." James' voice trails off, suggesting that if there is anything more to be said, it should be said now.

"Well what about that representative you mentioned. Is that still a concern?" Quickdraw noted, giving a few of the people shooting nasty glare, his own in return. "The biggest problem with society, is that people still give us a bad rap. I once saved a kid from a fire, and the cops decided to try and shoot me afterwards." He added.

"I will require a representative... but as to who that is, I leave all of you to decide. Now," James stood up. "Thank you for your time, but I have a really busy day ahead of me and very little sleep. I must now take my leave. It was a pleasure making your acquaintance."

"Now we have to choose someone to be our representative. But no matter, we'll let you know once we've made our decision, and plan a further meeting. It was a pelasure, and thanks for what you have done." Quickdraw said standing up and tilting his hat. "And do me a favor. Keep the energy controlling Jack under wraps at this point. Mention him, but go no deeper. To prevent mass hysteria. And with the stress going on, we need to wait until the time is right," he said solemnly before leaving the coffee shop, and getting into the driver's seat of the car. "That went well," he mumbled, turning over the ignition.

"Wait for me!" Dillon exclaimed as he ran to the car with his own cup of coffee. Once he closed the door, he looked to QuickDraw and Rin. "Hey, if we're done here, do you think we could go to a store something. I want some new clothes and I promised Alex I would get something for him." Dillon told them.

"Thanks for letting me know. I'll begin shortly." Zane spoke into the phone before ending the call. Zane stood up and grabbed his sword before walking to the door. It was now time too begin his mission.
