Akron had never felt such impact from that one word. Physically and emotionally. He felt tears of joy streaming out of his eyes and locked lips with Lyric intensely. He whispered, "I love you so, so much. Please don't forget." He hugged her back as they kissed in the moonlight.
For Miridia it was like the entire world went in slow motion. Her body hit the ground with a thud and almost immediately her world went dark. Her shadows outside of the neutral zone started to freak out, snapping in his direction.
Lyri hummed against his lips as they kissed. She pulled back and pressed her head to his chest, content with just being with him.

Akron held Lyric to his chest and hugged her, breathing in her embrace. Suddenly, the mansion just above the trees burst into flames. Akron got up, yelling, "What was that?! Zack! Sabrina!" Akron grabbed Lyric's wrist and sprinted to the mansion. As they arrived, Akron saw the mansion burning to the ground. He kissed Lyric for what might be the last time and plunged into the flames, summoning a boulder to wrap around him like a suit of armor.
Akron looked around the house. The kids were placed outside behind the backyard, but Miridia was slumped against the wall in her mana room. Akron hurried in and slung the witch over his shoulder. The fire was scorching his face, but he paid no attention as he raced out of the mansion just as it exploded, flinging him forwards. Akron twisted in midair so that when he landed, Miridia would not be harmed. He landed on his back, recoiling with pain. Akron slowly got up and set Miridia onto the ground. He beckoned to Lyric with his arm. "Miridia was still in the mansion."
Akron checked the pulse. It was extremely faint. "She's breathing, but she needs serious medical attention." He turned to the enraged shadows. "We just got here. We don't know who shot her."
Joshua waited patiently by the door. waiting for some one to let him in. He watched as he saw Julian run toward the woods. "Your next." Joshua said under his breath.
Julian ran as fast as he could he saw the opening with the "outcasts." he saw Miridia on the ground. " dear god." He said as he ran towards her. He placed his hand on her to heal her.

Akron pointed grimly toward the mansion. "It just happened. No one saw it coming." He looked at Julian. "Where's Josh? I know who's real and who's fake."
Akron was confused. "No. I haven't seen him in a while. Have you Lyric?" He turned back to Julian, gaze darkening. "And what do you mean by turncoat?"
"He's been more annoyed lately" Lyric looked up at him and noted the differences. She looked over or make sure the kids were ok and then looked at akron, "can you go check on them? We don't need them going into shock".
It was faela who opened the door to the mansion. A small gathering of higher ups in Middie coven were wearing fine clothes and sipping expensive drinks. The head mistresses stood up at the top of the stairs, a wild grin on her face as she conversed with another.

Akron nodded. He gave Lyric a swift kiss on the lips and hurried to where the kids were. He scooped them into his arms and summoned a rock formation around the mansion to stop the fire by cutting off the Oxygen. "Shh, kids," He soothed. "Everything's gonna be okay."
Akron walked back to Lyric and Julian. "Well, for starters, you seem to care more about stuff than he does." He cradled Sabrina and placed Zack on the ground gently.
Zack was shivering but trying to put a brave face on. Hugging his sister close to him with and scared look in his eyes, "uncle Josh was being scary".
Lyric looked him over and sighed, focusing on helping Julian to the best of her abilities, "we were dating".
Miridia's skin started to patch and peel into think black scales. Her heartbeat evened out and her sling colour started to return.

Joshua walked in and looked at the witch. " Julian is working for them." He said before he started to walk away.
" Oh." Julian said as he looked at Lyric. He could see what Joshua saw in her. "If he's working with her now. it's most likely my cover's been blown." He said as he took his hand off of Miridia. " Do you guys mind taking me in?"

Akron patted Julian on the back. "Not at all. Lyric, what about you?" He turned to her, waiting for her opinion.
"I don't mind but I think we should try and move. Josh knows where we live and if he really plans to hurt us then we should try and get the kids to somewhere safe," she looked at Miridia as the woman was now in a state of rest. The shadows that hadn't surged were calming and biding against her gently. Zack hugged his mom and she pulled him into her lap, letting him cry into her shoulder.

"Alright." Julian said. He picked up Miridia. He had superb upper body strength do to his time with Washington and the thirteenth battalion " Where to mate?" he asked Akron. He looked at the new people in his life.

Akron nodded. "Anywhere but here. Oh, and Lyric, I also forgot to do this back at the cliff." He opened the box from earlier and slipped the ring onto Lyric's ring finger gently. He kissed her swiftly and looked at everyone. "You ready?"
The witch raised an eyebrow and started off toward her mana room. She folded her arms behind her back and the door opened on their own and she stood in the middle of the room as the flowers she had started to bloom, a wave of mana being pulled toward her then to him, "dream and think about what you want. All of your dreams come true".
"I'm going to grab things from my house and check the bunker. We should leave a note or something for the others," Lyric sighed as she tried to think everything through. Miridia was already starting to stir and her eyelids fluttered.

He dreamed that She never entered this reality and that he died during the time he fought against Alpha. He smiled a little bit looking at her. "At least I did something right." He said as he started to fade away.
Julian held the witch in his arms. " Hey it'll be alright Miridia." He said. " I'll make sure your safe."

Akron ran over to Lyric who was now writhing in pain. "Are you okay? What's happening? Lyric, just focus on my voice."
Drakkon, none too gently, threw his bounty against a concrete wall. He laughed at their groans, then frowned when he realized that they were both unconscious. "Bullshit. Utter bullshit." He shook his head and laughed. "Before you die, we'll have some real fun."
Joshua felt as claw marks appeared in him. He smiled a little bit. "Atleast I die." He said as he closed his eyes. " And no one will ever remember me." He looked at Middie. "thank you for this." He said as he slowly started to disappear.

"Josh must have done something," Miridia groaned as her head was assaulted, memories altering. She casted a quick sleek with some her remain magic and saved herself from the pain. She then looked at Sabrina, saving the girl from the fate that would mostly likely happen

Akron cradled Lyric, soothing her and pulling her to his chest. "Just keep calm." However, his mind was swirling with chaos and confusion.
Akron pulled Lyric close and kissed her cheek. "Are you okay? That was really sudden."
"Yeah. What happened though," she was still a little confused but felt that she was ok. Miridia looked at them and knew not to say anything yet, not wanting to send their minds reeling if her hypothesis was corrected. She looked at Julian, "so you do realize you probably can't go back there".
"yeah I realize that." He said. He gently put Miridia down. He held out his hand for her. "How are you feeling." He said. He smiled a little bit at her. he wondered what just happened to all of them. but he didn't want to say anything about it. He barley knew any of them. He looked at the engagement ring on Lyric. "Congratulations."
